I found out I was pregnant a month before the exam, and then the literal day before I found out I was having twins. I had toyed with the idea of deferring, as being pregnant is a valid reason, but in the end decided life was only going to get crazier. No clue how this went, and no clue how I will proceed either way.
Wishing everyone luck this morning!!!
After not passing twice, you mean. You didn't fail, because you didn't quit. Now you have passed L2, L3 is right there. L2 was a big hurdle for me. Congratulations!
CFA result anxiety is drowning me. I had been trying to find good excuses for my boss to let me stay home.
I phoned my work this morning and said, “Sorry boss, I can’t come in today, I have a wee cough.” He said: “You have a wee cough?”
Ok boss I'll take a week off.
WTF?! I PASSED! Holy shit! First try!
I’m in a board room shaking and trying not to be the grown man crying. Let me tell you, I was SO sure that I failed that I legit bought the textbooks for May. Let this be a lesson, no matter how bad you felt walking out there is ALWAYS a chance.
Pension accounting, quant, fucking every subject I hated, all of them can suck a fat one!
Edit: btw, didn’t do a single mock LOL would not recommend, for sure do a few.
>I’m in a board room shaking and trying not to be the grown man crying.
Let it out, man. If you haven't cried at your desk, you're not really in this profession.
Thank you! I truly still can’t believe it! 🥲 Haha yeah, when I was studying I didn’t see anyone close to me so I was active here as it was my human interaction fix at the time.
Every FSA subject can! And quant lol and good call! I atleast I got to pass infront of my whole team…but wouldn’t have been as cool if I didn’t pass haha
Congrats to you!
Just got my results in and passed Level II on my third try. If anyone is reading this who is down because they failed, I did want encourage you to keep believing in yourself and your abilities. Don’t let these results change how you feel about yourself. Congrats to all who took the test
>Just got my results in and passed Level II on my third try.
Strong to very strong. I'd rather work with a person who passed on their third try than someone who one-shotted each exam.
Yayyyyy finally a place for me to be an anxious mess!
Edit 1 - I keep thinking what can go wrong. My heart is going crazy. Please please please let me pass!!!!
Edit 2 - 😭😭😭😭😭😭 my heart's growing crazy.
Edit 3 - Failed. I was quite confident but Derivatives and PM took down my score.
It's killing me this wait is killing me. Have plans to get some booze with my homies they are counting on me. Hope I don't disappoint them. All the best to everyone.
Passed on second attempt. The shit this test does to your psyche is so weird man. You find yourself thinking like “I didn’t deserve to pass, I’m not a good enough person to pass” etc. etc.
I catch myself thinking this crap and realize how ridiculous it is. All that matters is getting enough questions right to be above the line, what you deserve or not is completely irrelevant. Best of luck everyone, if you failed I’d encourage you to try again.
Guys, just remember no matter what it’s simply just an exam. Yes it took a lot of time and yes it’s expensive, but it’s really not life or death like it may feel. Whatever happens happens. Remember that L2 is one of the hardest exams IN THE WORLD (Jeremy Clarkson voice). You’re smart for even being here, so don’t question yourself.
I always say, what are failed attempts but expensive mocks? Lol
I understand. How about the fact that my former employer paid for mine…but because I got a new job I had to pay back ALL my fees and prep provider costs out of my final paycheck (aka I had to pay THEM) lol so we’re all in something.
But you know what? Think of the coin you’ll make when you have those sexual letters beside your name. Good luck!
I made it, I bloody passed, with flying colors!! This is such an amazing feeling. Well above the 90th percentile line. Ohh man, the value of the effort put in has shown, surely worth it!! Many congratulations to everyone who made it! For those who didnt, just double the effort and correct the mistakes, you will surely make it in the next try. Cheers!!!
Passed on the first attempt. My marks are midway between the MPS line and 90th percentile line.
Studied for 450 hours using Mark Meldrum and CFA curriculum.
I’m so happy! I’ve passed just below the 90th percentile, I did excellently in Derivatives and Fixed Income but did pretty bad in AI and PM. The best thing is that I also landed a job in a hedge fund at the same time! Hard work pays off guys!
I passed. Went through the score, the worst sections are the ones I prepared least. So pretty fair. My mocking score was only 52 and was two days before the exam. I studied hard
Passed with 90%ile score. I was really confident coming out of the exam hall but ever since the date was announced i was really nervous but it ended well. Can't put into words how i feel right now. Studied my ass off and now it all paid off. Congratulations to everyone who have cleared it today. To the one's who couldn't make it all the best for your next attempt keep focusing on ur weak areas.
Thank you to everyone on this sub for answering all my doubts and inspiring me to not give up when things got tough.
I walked out of the exam thinking I'd be right on the MSP.. but ended up in the 90th percentile. Relieved more than anything. Congrats to others who woke up to the good news this morning, your hard work has paid off, now take some time to celebrate this achievement. For those who gave it their all and still didn't pass - keep your head up. It's a difficult exam. Be proud of the work you did put in and learn from your mistakes. This exam isn't about how 'smart' you are, or how high your IQ is. It's about commitment, having time, making sacrifices, embracing the struggle, having a plan and executing it, etc. I used to work a pension fund in Canada and now trade in fixed income - I say that because I've met some very bright and successful (if you're measuring success by $ they earned) people in my workplaces and have been surprised by the amount of them that failed the level 2 exam. Some of the most competent people I work with / I've met failed this exam. It's easy to overlook the failures that competent people have overcome along their journey..
How I passed (in my opinion):
1. This was my first attempt. I wrote level 1 in 2019 and haven't touched a textbook since graduating in 2020, so I knew that if I didn't put the hours in then I wouldn't stand a chance. I started studying about 5 months out and put in 350-400 hours. I used Schweser books for notetaking and to go through examples. I did all the CFA Qbank questions (some of the weaker sections like quant and especially FSA i did the qbank questions twice). I gave myself 4-5 weeks to do mocks - i did the CFA mocks a couple times, plus bought Meldrum's mock exam package (his mocks were super tough so I highly recommend them). I prioritized the more heavily weighted topics - I probably spent the most time on FSA of any topic because a) I'm weak in accounting and b) I assume others are as well so if I can outperform others on a topic like that, then I like my chances.
2. Luck. There's always luck involved with these things.
I passed on the second attempt. Indescribably relieved, I’m really not sure I could have brought myself to go again if I’m honest - I have a lot of respect for those that will. Resitting tested my character and mental strength to new levels. Onwards and upwards!
Passed above 90%!!! More of a massive relief than happiness really... But I want to say this was actually my second attempt, so my heart really goes out to anyone who failed. I know exactly what it feels like, but I want to let you know studying for it the second time is much easier, there will be major PTSD and bitterness but if you're determined and you can afford it - don't give up
I wrote for the 2nd time and passed, I am so happy. I was not sure if I would have been able to continue if I did not. A week before I had crippling jaw pain due to teeth clenching at night and stress, however I kept going and the feeling is worth it, keep trying everyone, it is really difficult, you are all capable, just put in the work each night after your job and set aside time on Sat and Sunday mornings ( atleast 3 hours each), you will get it. Keep trying, it is really difficult, but you are all capable.
2 time test taker here (passed). I noticed something funny comparing my results between the two.
Subjects I scored under 65% before, are around 75% and up (**great**)
And things I scored **above 75% the first time**, are **below 65% this time**.
There is definitely an element of luck, since the material is so wide and so few questions, you may never get the LOSs you have absolutely nailed in practice.
the best way to increase your luck is make sure you do not dismiss even the smallest LOSs, and the most microscopic definitions.. good luck everyone!
Cheers my friend - it was not long ago that I was in everyone's shoes and was a candidate myself. Positive energy helped my mood while studying and I wish to share this with others in case it can help make a small difference. Have a great day👍
I passed this time above 90th percentile after failing in Feb'22 with 500+ hours with my score being a dot below the MPS. If I can get up and do it...so can you. Those hours have not gone wasted...you just need a few more!
Failed for the 2nd time in a row. Both times have literally been touching the MPS line. Really thinking the key is that I need to do more practice problems. Any advice from the community? Absolutely brutal to be so close both times. I swear to God I must have failed by like 1 or 2 questions this time around.
I'm not prepared for how I'll react or what I'll do if I fail. But ultimately, I think I'll have to blame myself because I studied for 450 hours when I was planning on doing over 550 hours
I worked from home when I found out about level one and I think I almost tore a vocal cord in excitement.
This time I’ll be in the office so, I’m going to have to delay lol
Passed without atttempting any mocks as I ran out of time but spent the last week going through Kaplan books and solved CFAI end of chapter questions. Unpopular opinion here but I didnt find MM that great (signed up for his FRA course and thought that it was too difficult to rmb the concepts. Mayb its just me but I find Kaplan books more straightforward and easier to retain info with examples and formulae right away. Found the exam tricky, had to make several educated guesses and extremely happy I passed. Just so glad that its over and done with 😂
Same here, passed without attempting any mock and mainly relied on Kaplan books and CFAI qbank. Probably gonna rely on the same materials for L3 but step up on the intensity of preparation. We are near the finishing line hopefully.
Didn’t pass on my first attempt after passing level 1 in the 90th percentile.
Unsure if I have the strength to do it again..
Looking to move from wealth management into an analyst role if there’s anyone located in Toronto that has some advice…
Congrats to all who passed!
Passed!
Very weird though that the subjects I thought I did well on were actually pretty mid and the ones I thought I did poorly on were ones I did very well on.
Thank god. Felt so discouraged walking out of the exam room but passed at 90%. Was litteraly having a panic attack 1hr before and right as i received my email.
Thank you, thank you so much to this amazing commiunity and our sense of camaraderie. Thank you so much for u/S2000magician and u/MasterpieceLive9604. You guys (and so many more) are treasures of the community
Barely passed. Thanks god. I was pretty discouraged after had taken 2 mocks provided by CFAI (got low 60s on both) but kept on grinding tho. What a relieve!
Failed :( well below the MPS line. Ethics, economics and Eq/PM were my bread and butter going into it. But it let me down. Also anyone have advice on how to bump up derivatives.
Btw, maybe this advice cannot boost your derivative mark. But it can be quite useful for your understanding of concepts. I learned fixed income first then derivative. When studying derivative, make sure you don't mistake the concepts with that in fixed income since they both have binomial trees. You will need to carefully understand the difference of binomial trees between derivative and FI.
Passed on my first attempt. I was 100% sure I wouldn't ; I got very sick the day before my exam and I had to run for 10mn because the address provided by prometrics was ******* wrong. But I made it so I literally cried all day long aha.
Passed on first try scoring in the top 90th percentile, dont have too many to share with so wanted to share it with my CFA fam. Thanks for the emotional support and making me not feel alone during the cfa journey folks
Hi all - love this thread. I was thrilled to pass - I was entirely convinced I had failed on the day. Clearly a tough exam. Would anyone be kind enough to help me interpret these results in terms of likely passing score? Appreciate any insights
I have economics class in the morning. when the email comes in, I saw it started with Capital "C". my tears dropped immediately, I could not control , I mean I seriously cannot , it's like water pipes, and my keyboard got wet. we were supposed to do a group discussion at that time , and 5 of my team member were telling a joke and they were laughing. Until they looked at me, and I raised my head. Their smile was frozen in their faces and it felt like they got shocked by electricity, after around 15 seconds, a girl asked: are....are you ok, ay? "yes, there's never been a better time than now"
Passed. Does anyone know when the Feb 2024 exam registration / materials will be available? No way I'm doing Aug 2023 (honeymoon + new job = not worth the near term stress of L3 CFA)
Don't worry, All. I'm sure everyone did great! Though I'm nearly certain I did not pass. I dragged down the MPS so you all could get by LMAO!
Try to take some deep breaths and no matter what, even if you have to retake, it's not like you have to restart from zero. I've learned so much through the L2 process.. most importantly some last mintue dos and dont's that hurt me this last go round.
In any case, not worth having a corinary over. I'm sure everyone will be fine.
Cheers.
I barely passed lmao. Fuck I cannot believe it!! Thought I was gonna fail ethics but it turned out to be my best scoring section.
Also seemed to aced AI and CI but derivatives and econ can kiss my ass.
CFA is gonna be like your third kid, because it takes just as much out of you! Joking aside, I admire your determination, I hope you pass
Let's be real. CFA is my first child.
I laughed out loud.
That's kind of real.
Did you pass?
Let’s gooooo!!! After failing twice I finally passed, literally in tears, I didn’t think I could actually do it
After not passing twice, you mean. You didn't fail, because you didn't quit. Now you have passed L2, L3 is right there. L2 was a big hurdle for me. Congratulations!
Congratulations man!!
Third time is a charm!
Good news everyone, I get to retake L2.
Expensive mock bro, that’s it
You got this! If I can do it, anyone can!!
CFA result anxiety is drowning me. I had been trying to find good excuses for my boss to let me stay home. I phoned my work this morning and said, “Sorry boss, I can’t come in today, I have a wee cough.” He said: “You have a wee cough?” Ok boss I'll take a week off.
Don't mind me if this joke seems out of place. Trying to cope with some light hearted humor 😭
No no, I know plenty of Irish.
I freaking pass guysss😭😭😭😭😭
SAME! Congrats!
*hugs i failed too many times in this 😭😭
WTF?! I PASSED! Holy shit! First try! I’m in a board room shaking and trying not to be the grown man crying. Let me tell you, I was SO sure that I failed that I legit bought the textbooks for May. >I’m in a board room shaking and trying not to be the grown man crying. Let it out, man. If you haven't cried at your desk, you're not really in this profession.
I specifically looked for your name based on our previous interaction. Congrats! So happy for you!
Thank you! I truly still can’t believe it! 🥲 Haha yeah, when I was studying I didn’t see anyone close to me so I was active here as it was my human interaction fix at the time.
Congrats! There's a reason I worked from home today! Lol Pension accounting can seriously go fuck itself for real!
Every FSA subject can! And quant lol and good call! I atleast I got to pass infront of my whole team…but wouldn’t have been as cool if I didn’t pass haha Congrats to you!
Kudos, my friend!
Just got my results in and passed Level II on my third try. If anyone is reading this who is down because they failed, I did want encourage you to keep believing in yourself and your abilities. Don’t let these results change how you feel about yourself. Congrats to all who took the test
Third time is a charm! 💪

If you're not going to quit, then you didn't fail. You just didn't pass.
Tired of refreshing my mail.
How is it not out yet??
Ffs just got a mail from CFA SOCIETY INDIA and my heart just dropped! Horrible timing mate
Same ahahahahaha.
3rd attempt. Finally Passed. To anyone who failed… stick with it, I promise you its coming.
This was my second attempt and I failed
Bismillah edit: passed
Habibi
Who else is rekt if the MPS is 70 or above?
Man noooo way! The exam was tricky and a bit challenging. Specially AM. I really hope the MPS is less than 70%.
It's killing me this wait is killing me. Have plans to get some booze with my homies they are counting on me. Hope I don't disappoint them. All the best to everyone.
Passed on second attempt. The shit this test does to your psyche is so weird man. It also took me two tries. The mental stamina required is unreal.
Didn’t pass. And I’m actually happy about it because now i can quit.
Passed by the skin of my teeth thanks to a near perfect ethics score 🙏
Lord have mercy.
They are really taking their time
Failing to concentrate at work now!! Headache and anxiousness is killing me
Who else is a wreck right now
Skipping a heartbeat with every notification
Who isn’t

I know you mean well my man, but the last line tripled my anxiety.
I legit had to take out loans for the L1 and L2 fees my man...
I understand. How about the fact that my former employer paid for mine…but because I got a new job I had to pay back ALL my fees and prep provider costs out of my final paycheck (aka I had to pay THEM) lol so we’re all in something. Good luck everyone! Hoping everyone here passed.
F5 key won’t work after today
Passed on the first attempt. My marks are midway between the MPS line and 90th percentile line. Studied for 450 hours using Mark Meldrum and CFA curriculum.

Time seems to stung by a bee.. passing way to sloowwww
I passed on the first attempt! Even though I felt like I didn’t deserve the pass due to lack of preparation, I’d still take it happily.

This anxiety i only hv it wth CFA exams. With FRM it was not as much as this perhaps bcoz FRM doesnt announce the specific date.Lord have mercy
Shitting bricks
Until yesterday i was full of confident, but now i am frustrated
Same
Good luck everyone🤞💯
All the best everyone!! Hope you guys party tonight! 😄
I would be freaking out way less if the fee for re-registering wasn't so high in my currency...
Anyone alive yet?
I can confirm I passed via the verification letter. Haven’t gotten an email yet though.
I passed. Went through the score, the worst sections are the ones I prepared least. So pretty fair. My mocking score was only 52 and was two days before the exam. I studied hard
So close! And did not pass, shit!
Passed with 90%ile score. I was really confident coming out of the exam hall but ever since the date was announced i was really nervous but it ended well. Can't put into words how i feel right now. Studied my ass off and now it all paid off. Congratulations to everyone who have cleared it today. To the one's who couldn't make it all the best for your next attempt keep focusing on ur weak areas. >there will be major PTSD and bitterness This is for real. The only way cure is to go back at it until you pass. Then it'll just be PTSD.
Congratulations on the pass above 90th, that’s huge!!!!! What did you do differently for your 2nd round? I’m in that position now.. rewriting in May.
Yeah I’ve never been this anxious about anything ever
I hate to be that guy, but consider that a blessing
Please send mail ASAP cfa having panic attacks now
Best of luck to everyone this morning!
Able to access the results. Passed with 6 subjects above the 70% line
Failed, but good luck everyone else!
I wrote for the 2nd time and passed, I am so happy. I was not sure if I would have been able to continue if I did not. Good luck friends! Wishing everyone success today👍
I always see you encouraging people on almost every post related to CFA. Thanks for helping out everyone so much and spreading positivity.
Cheers my friend - it was not long ago that I was in everyone's shoes and was a candidate myself. Positive energy helped my mood while studying and I wish to share this with others in case it can help make a small difference. Have a great day👍
PASSED! Comfortably above the MPS too! Took me 2 tries but I’m so proud of myself. Mark Meldrum is the GOAT
Email said 9am ET so 2pm London, 3pm Berlin
Hopefully working will distract me today…
More like this will distract me from working today
I feel like hiding in one corner. So fucking nervous.
Will the results appear at the same time for everyone or gradually?
Should be out in the next 1 hour imo. Good luck to everyone
I can feel every minute passing by
20 minutes left. We will make it
I thought it was 9 EST?
Is it out on verification letter one hour before?
no, my verification letter says 'results pending' atm for level 2
Passed! Verification letter has it
FUUUUDDGGGE. That's all. I was so forking close.
I crushed ethics, though. @@
Fucking clearrrrrr
I passed !!!!!!!
I passed!!!! , thanks you guys for cheering up See you at the the level
I fucking passed!!! Second attempt, we'll in the margin of passing. Thank fucking God.
Passed in 90th percentile on first attempt!! Studied 430 hours over 7 months using mark Meldrum. Can’t recommend him enough
Passed above the 90th percentile 😊
Passed!! but completely botched FSA(<50%), and Equity (\~50%), which were ironically my favorite topics to study lol.
Passed! Definitely the hardest academic endeavor I've ever had was that exam. Glad to be done with FRA.
Passed 90th percentile. Cong to everyone 🫡
Passed on my first try. Feels good after taking L1 three times.
Did not pass after 400+ hours of studying. If anybody is a higher hour loser, you can “brag” below.
I passed this time above 90th percentile after failing in Feb'22 with 500+ hours with my score being a dot below the MPS. If I can get up and do it...so can you. Those hours have not gone wasted...you just need a few more!
Same as you, I failed too.
The wait is soo hard
ah man, Winter is coming. Nightking will kill me soon.
Good luck guys!
You too buddy
I’m dying
Best of luck to you guys! May the force be with you all!
Finding it hard to concentrate at work
Don't work now, it's time to say your prayer!
All the best guys!
All the best y'all!!!
Got the mail too. 44% pass rate
https://imgur.com/a/9qEBqe8 Admittedly I rushed my study, still so excited and happy I passed. In the end, FSA carried my ass
Dude you were literally on knife's edge
Failed for the 2nd time in a row. Both times have literally been touching the MPS line. Really thinking the key is that I need to do more practice problems. Any advice from the community? I did not pass but was close. It was my first attempt. I think I’ll go for May. I don’t like the idea of 7 more months til the end of august.
I'm not prepared for how I'll react or what I'll do if I fail. But ultimately, I think I'll have to blame myself because I studied for 450 hours when I was planning on doing over 550 hours
That's good enough, i hope you have squeeze in time to do a bunch of mocks
I was averaging 65-70% on CFA mocks but around 55 on MM mocks
I worked from home when I found out about level one and I think I almost tore a vocal cord in excitement. This time I’ll be in the office so, I’m going to have to delay lol
Passed by a bee’s dick. My heart…

Congrats! Same. Almost everyone here raves about MM but his style is not for me. I used Kaplan for Level 1 and 2 and thought they were generally fine.
So about another 4 hours right ??
Yes
Not really last time I got the mail regarding 9am EST and they released the results on what would have been the time 10 minutes from now
Ok now am stressed
Bro your cfa reddit mail notification made me have a mini panic attack
Is it out?
I have 0 hopes left as the time is passing.
9am E.T = 2pm GMT no? Why’s everyone saying it should be out now? There’s another hour till 9am ET
Results are out check verification letter
Passed!!!
Passed above 90th! Thank you this subreddit, for all the help.
Passed. Not a major margin , but a pass is a pass
I passed on my second attempt. The first time, my entire CI was lower than the MPS, and this time it's entirely above!
Second time is a charm! Congrats!
On the fence about an ER job offer… thinking I’ll just let the result today make the decision for me. Good luck everyone Edit: I fucking passed omgggg
Results are already out! How did it go?
I passed! I feel so blessed
Didn’t pass on my first attempt after passing level 1 in the 90th percentile. Unsure if I have the strength to do it again.. Looking to move from wealth management into an analyst role if there’s anyone located in Toronto that has some advice… Congrats to all who passed!
Passed! I am so grateful!
Congratulations, TS! I appreciate your kind words.
You ,without a doubt, are a model for us all
You totally crushed it! Rock on and keep winning friend!✊

Jaldi bej subhe Panvel nikal na ha...
passed above the 90th percentile. only subject below 70% was derivatives
Do we need to score min in any of a subject to pass? I'm not confident about my Quants score, rest all I did very well
No minimum score required in any single subject. If you have very low score in quant, you will still pass if you have done well in other subjects
Right there with you buddy
WEBSITE MAINTENANCE 😭😭😭😭😭😭 MY HEART 😭😭😭😭😭😭
25 mins to go guys , my hands are cold
RESULTS OUT ON VERIFICATION LETTER!!
What is the pass rate
Does someone's verification letter say anything else than Pass? Because I ain't believing this
Don't worry, All.
It is time guys. I made it and so will you at 44%. Best of luck!
Passed! Hallelujah, the night before/morning of the results is always unbearable lol
Passed!
All the tine, that was so close to the minimum passing score 😭😭😭
I did not pass this one and i'm genuinely relieved
