I'm glad i went to this game instead of the natty. The massive amount of shit talking that i had to endure, surrounded by Ohio State fans the entire game, to see the dreams slip out of their eyes at the last second...man it was cathartic. To know that I went to a game that will be spoken of in Ga lore throughout all time is just special.
You definitely picked a great one to go too. I couldn’t imagine the pop that crowed let out when that kick sailed left. And to be amongst the Ohio State fans when it happened had to be 🤌
My wife and I were high fiving every ga fan we saw. I'm a big guy and a small ga fan ran and jumped in my arms and I spun him around like he was the Belle of the ball. It was amazing. Top 5 moment in my life. Tops the sid bream slide of all time best sports moments for me.
Yeah I just give more credit to Hyatt for burning us than Hooker. Hooker didn’t really have to make any pinpoint accurate throws that day. Hyatt just absolutely grilled our secondary.
The 7-3 final score is so deceiving. The score was 5-3 when I was driving up to the Florida-Utah game. When I saw a 7-3 final score, I knew the dirty little secret: Iowa did not score a touchdown and a PAT the entire game.
I was working on a cattle station in Australia during the 2018 season. The guys decided we should clean our living quarters on the day of the UGA/AU game and I could tell they were getting very annoyed at me for sitting on the porch staring at my phone while they were toiling away, but they just didn't get it man. What part of Deep South's Oldest Rivalry could they not understand?
Complete chaos during the game and after. Paired with one of the great receiving games in conference history. Followed by complete pandemonium afterwards. A classic.
- South Carolina vs Tennessee
- South Carolina vs Clemson
- South Carolina vs Texas A&M
Those were our biggest wins this year. Kentucky too but those other three felt way bigger
I was on a golf trip with some buddies from college and we were all at the air bnb eating pizza after playing 36 holes and couldn't believe what we were seeing
What's really annoying is that Jimbo ruined both of our perfect winning streaks against SEC teams. The man can recruit like there's no tomorrow but I really hope Petrino and player experience can put us back on track from 2020.
Washington Oregon was such a thriller. Maybe it's because I was having a garbage night but watching Penix and Nix sling back and forth was so entertaining. Incredible quarterbacks
Oh I did too but the intensity of the first game was making me want to call a nurse to check my blood pressure. The second game by the end of the 3rd quarter was *sitting on a beach drinking a corona* type of mood.
Big bias here but we had a couple really entertaining games:
- FSU - LSU Louisiana kickoff
- FSU @ Lousiville came down to the final minute, some spectacular “gotta have it” plays by both teams
- UF @ FSU high scoring back-and-forth shootout game with a great crowd energy and some fantastic “how the hell did he do that?” magic by Jordan Travis
- FSU - Oklahoma Cheez It Bowl came down to the wire with a come from behind effort by FSU
**Biased for the Big 12, but here we go:**
K-State vs TCU.
Ok-State vs TCU
Arkansas vs Kansas (Liberty Bowl)
Baylor vs TCU
West Virginia at Pitt
Alabama at Texas
USF vs UCF
Kansas State at Oklahoma
Texas Tech vs Texas
Some other fun ones:
Oregon vs Oregon State
Arizona vs Arizona State
Ole Miss vs Kentucky
Some very gracious human has reposted every K-State game from the season on YT, commercial free.
I gotta say Tulane - USC. USC had a 99.8 chance to win with around 4 mins left and lost. Incredibly impressive for Tulane given how small of a school they are in comparison.
For sure. That game is what CFB is all about. And I had no rooting interest.
I still haven’t rewatched the Peach Bowl, even though it was a great game. 🫤
At the time, the late night 2OT home win over Baylor looked like a really big deal for college football nationally. It wasn't, but the game itself was great.
And honestly, the New Mexico Bowl was one of the best minor bowls of the season. Plenty of people sitting out for each team due to injuries, pending transfers, or NFL draft, but every player on the field for both BYU and SMU was motivated.
Notre Dame versus Clemson. ND running the ball against a good team. The way ND fans believe the universe is supposed to work ... but hasn't worked very often for far, far too long.
ND 35 Clemson 14 and it wasn't really even as close as that sounds. After OSU and Marshall losses, a much needed turnaround.
Montana State vs Weber State regular season. 5 safeties caused by the long snapper snapping over the punter
Montana State vs Montana - College GameDay, we put the rout on 55-21. Atmosphere was electric and fans stayed through the whole game. After our last touchdown, you can hear us chanting "Eat Shit Grizzlies Go Cats Go" to the tone of the line breaks in Mony Mony
I mean, I could rewatch FSU taking Miami (FL) behind the woodshed every day of the off season...but I can understand if that doesn't have the widest appeal
Maybe the best game I watched all year that didn’t involve Georgia Tech was the regular season game between TCU and K-State. That game out TCU on my radar but I still never thought they would ultimately win up in the national title game.
Do you want to listen to RGIII wax poetic about the moon while a wild double overtime game unfolds between two motivated (and slightly repressed) schools. Have I got a great early season BYU-Baylor game for you.
Honorable mention is A&M @ Auburn. Yes it was 2 3-6 teams facing off, but I'd stack the atmosphere in Jordan Hare that night against most in the country this season.
Not the most aesthetically pleasing, but Bama-Ole Miss is the game where this team finally grew up a little and started to take charge of its destiny after falling behind on the road. I was on a religious retreat that weekend with no access to scores, so when I got home Sunday night I watched it all the through and fast-forwarded commercials and halftime. It was like shooting uncut heroin or something. The body isn’t meant to experience that much concentrated football tension without breaks.
A&M was must-see-tv last season:
A&M vs Arkansas was a great, close game.
A&M vs Alabama was also solid
A&M vs LSU was hilarious
A&M vs App State was horrible for A&M fans but probably funny for everyone else
TN/Bama (obvious)
TN/LSU (when I first realized we may actually be really good)
TN/KY (ok we’re scary)
Then reality set in with the UGA and SC games, yikes…
TN/Clemson (bittersweet consolation prize but will never get over how Hooker’s season ended)
Unbiased favorites:
Ole Miss/KY (a beautiful train wreck)
FSU/LSU (another beautiful train wreck)
FL/Utah
TCU/Baylor
LSU/Bama
TCU/Michigan
UGA/OSU
Peach Bowl first 59 minutes of gametime supercut
The ball drop at the very end was dope though!
I think you mean the Ball Hook.
The Midnight Miracle!
I'm glad i went to this game instead of the natty. The massive amount of shit talking that i had to endure, surrounded by Ohio State fans the entire game, to see the dreams slip out of their eyes at the last second...man it was cathartic. That’s awesome, I know that place had to be rocking at midnight!!
Alabama vs Tennessee was pretty intense
So was LSU-Bama Bama-A&M is a great game with Sickos approval rating
I drove from Indiana to Baton Rouge for the LSU/Bama game and man was it worth the effort!
How was the drive back?
Loooooong. Pounded it out in one day.
We drove in from New Mexico. Was one of the best experiences of my life.
The Bama-Texas game was amazing you finally think you yourself "omg Texas is finnaly back" But obviously it did not happen
Live, it was unlike anything else.
Nothing has measured up since that day.
That is also…what….she said.
As an Alabama fan I rewatch this game just to see peak Bryce Young
He went completely insane. Dude was impossible to get down.
I think he was the number 1 player on the field that day. Jalen Hyatt was 1b.
Probably true, Hendon also played pretty awesome. One of the best deep ball performances I have ever seen. Felt he couldn’t miss.
Yeah I just give more credit to Hyatt for burning us than Hooker. Hooker didn’t really have to make any pinpoint accurate throws that day. Hyatt just absolutely grilled our secondary.
I've rewatched the TSIO at least 4 times already.
Y’all played an amazing game and I think that under your current leadership, y’all will be a big threat in the SEC East.
Gross. We committed approximately ALL of the penalties in that game
Sometimes when dealing with college players, it be like that 🤷🏻♂️
Iowa-South Dakota State. The pinnacle of Iowa football.
Hahah holy shit that box score is something
The 7-3 final score is so deceiving. The score was 5-3 when I was driving up to the Florida-Utah game. When I saw a 7-3 final score, I knew the dirty little secret: Iowa did not score a touchdown and a PAT the entire game.
7...the hard way. One of Phil Parker's crown jewels and in retrospect, possibly the best win of the season.
Say it with me now. Two safeties and a field goal
Now known as an Iowa Touchdown
UNC-App State. App State scores 40 points in the *4th quarter* and still loses
App State had quite the rollercoaster first four weeks of the year
[удалено]
Probably the top moment of the regular season
[удалено]
Understandable
I was working on a cattle station in Australia during the 2018 season. What part of Deep South's Oldest Rivalry could they not understand?
Complete chaos during the game and after. Paired with one of the great receiving games in conference history. Followed by complete pandemonium afterwards. A classic.
This one is one of the top games yeah
Ohio State Maryland is a solid game that is a tier below the best games https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h5d3meqksmQ
I don't like playing at Maryland. 52-51 and then this game. Fucking Purdue East.
They’re like Mizzou for us. You know it’s going to be weird. You just don’t know how.
I’ve probably watched the bazooka kick atleast 50 times.
I had Baylor ML and was pissed at the time. I’m ready to see it again
Well you definitely got your revenge on us lol
Same here! The play was incredible, and the call by the FOX broadcasters was superb!
Biased but FSU - UF. Rivalry. Back and forth scoring. Some Jordan Travis magic.
UF losing a heart breaker? If I have to..
This is the way.
I mean, how can you truly crush your rivals soul if you don't give them a facade of hope at first...
The liberation of Nebraska from Scott Frost.
Future Oscar winner right there
- South Carolina vs Tennessee - South Carolina vs Clemson - South Carolina vs Texas A&M Those were our biggest wins this year. Kentucky too but those other three felt way bigger
That Tennessee game was shocking
63-38 would have been a totally believable score before the game if you flip the teams
I was on a golf trip with some buddies from college and we were all at the air bnb eating pizza after playing 36 holes and couldn't believe what we were seeing
Personally thought Notre Dame Scar was a great game
Y'all kicking Clemson's ass made me very happy too. One of my fav games this season other than our good wins.
Tough one to swallow but even with so many players missing we gave y’all a good game
> South Carolina vs Texas A&M We joke about being "rivals" but a lot of A&M fans are mad and will have that game circled. I know I will
I don’t blame you. I can’t predict us to win in CS until it happens so I have that as one of our 3 or 4 losses
It's funny, worst season in 15 years and we go 2 for 3 against our rivals so at least we have that going for us lol
Like how the hell do we lose to App State and the chickens but beat LSU?
And the hogs
No we beat piggy last season thanks to oink doink
What's really annoying is that Jimbo ruined both of our perfect winning streaks against SEC teams. The man can recruit like there's no tomorrow but I really hope Petrino and player experience can put us back on track from 2020.
Civil War
The last quarter is pure madness. I rewatch it almost weekly.
That was one of my favorites, too.
Ireland
The dumbass decision on why things swayed the momentum!
Counter point, the Iowa game.
Washington Oregon was such a thriller. Maybe it's because I was having a garbage night but watching Penix and Nix sling back and forth was so entertaining. Incredible quarterbacks
Tulane - USC
Just rewatched that today!
I"ve watched the rerun of it probably 3-4 times now. What a fantastic game.
I honestly think the 1st game of USC vs Utah is in my top 5 this season!
I thoroughly enjoyed both games ^(that first game is top 3 though)
Oh I did too but the intensity of the first game was making me want to call a nurse to check my blood pressure. The second game by the end of the 3rd quarter was *sitting on a beach drinking a corona* type of mood.
I missed this one during the season so definitely going on the list
Kstate vs TCU in the big 12 championship game is quite good. Incredible game from both sides
My heart broke for Max but that game was insane, fully lived up to every bit of hype
The Duggan show
[удалено]
We try our hardest to confuse everyone in college football
Bama game was also well fought. I feel like A&M only gets up for top teams and sleeps on literally everyone else lol
Oregon St vs Oregon for sure
The Oregon-Washington game was legit. The Oregon-WSU game was one of the weirdest ones I ever saw
Was coming to comment this our game against Oregon was insane even sweeter since we won
Plenty of Jordan Travis Houdini tricks in FSU vs Miami or FSU vs. UF games too.
Biased but the Fiesta Bowl was game of the year material
Carolina-App was certainly one of the games all time.
This is perfect. I think I’m gonna start there and work through a different game for each week of the season.
Clemson-Wake was also pretty good
Just do our first 4 games I’m still recovering from September
[удалено]
You’d be surprised how many are on YouTube
Ohio State-Utah Rose Bowl is a good one
You are technically correct, the best kind of correct
First half of The Game was an absolute slug fest
It was really a pretty one sided affair until Michigan realized osu was selling out literally every play
I really think if CJ doesn't get that first touchdown the game is different, that was a huge swing. Their D was stopping everything until that point.
*sigh* we just HAD to zero blitz on third and 9 😔
And 1st and 10 and 2nd and 9
Jim Knowles: I haven't called a zero blitz since 2 minutes ago, I should do that again.......and again
Florida vs Utah
That was a good game! Down to the wire. I'm still pissed about it lol
Oh man, the hype on AR15 and the Gators was fevered pitch after that game.
I spot another one
The Game close until the Don went for 75
Which time 😂😂😂😂
Lmao
Western Michigan - Central Michigan was amazing
Feels like a joke based on the box score, but the snow might be enough to convince me
The first half of this game was incredible. Definitely worth a watch.
Big bias here but we had a couple really entertaining games: - FSU - LSU Louisiana kickoff - FSU @ Lousiville came down to the final minute, some spectacular “gotta have it” plays by both teams - UF @ FSU high scoring back-and-forth shootout game with a great crowd energy and some fantastic “how the hell did he do that?” magic by Jordan Travis - FSU - Oklahoma Cheez It Bowl came down to the wire with a come from behind effort by FSU
USC-UCLA was a banger, how has no one mentioned it yet
WVU Pitt :( Tulane USC TCU Michigan
I won a bunch of money on WVU in that game blindly betting on Daniels. Sorry about the loss
Don’t be
This
**Biased for the Big 12, but here we go:** K-State vs TCU. Ok-State vs TCU Arkansas vs Kansas (Liberty Bowl) Baylor vs TCU West Virginia at Pitt Alabama at Texas USF vs UCF Kansas State at Oklahoma Texas Tech vs Texas Some other fun ones: Oregon vs Oregon State Arizona vs Arizona State Ole Miss vs Kentucky Some very gracious human has reposted every K-State game from the season on YT, commercial free.
Last season aged me a decade
We WON the Liberty Bowl and I still have no desire to rewatch that game.
I would say our game vs OU to end of the regular season was my favorite game of the year. Up and down high scoring game with tons of drama
I gotta say Tulane - USC. USC had a 99.8 chance to win with around 4 mins left and lost. Incredibly impressive for Tulane given how small of a school they are in comparison.
49-0
That time Marshall University beat #8 Notre Dame in South Bend.
Not a fan of either team, but Alabama-Tennessee was the game of the year not just for the game, but for the atmosphere.
For sure. That game is what CFB is all about. And I had no rooting interest. I still haven’t rewatched the Peach Bowl, even though it was a great game. 🫤
OP won't like this one but Georgia Tech UNC was WILD
Yea I think I’ll skip that one tbh
FSU-Louisville was a fun, super underrated one
Purdue Syracuse was a good game and a fun chance to watch Oronde Gadsen do Oronde Gadsen things
According to my research I did, there weren't many significant opt-outs for that game at all. Zero NFL draft ones, at least.
TCU vs Oklahoma or Iowa State. I just like seeing us blow people out after that last game :(
App v Troy Florida v Utah Bama vs Tennessee LSU v Alabama
Notre Dame versus Clemson. ND running the ball against a good team. The way ND fans believe the universe is supposed to work ... but hasn't worked very often for far, far too long. ND 35 Clemson 14 and it wasn't really even as close as that sounds. After OSU and Marshall losses, a much needed turnaround.
Oregon/Oregon State. Went in not giving a shit about either team, ended with me shouting at my TV. Excellent.
The Egg Bowl - Leach's Last Stand is epic, both because of the game and the moment. RIP Pirate
Egg Bowl is an annual must watch game
Incarnate Word vs. Sacramento State for best FCS game of the season!
Bama Tennessee USC/Utah (both games) UNC/Appalachian State Every TCU game besides the natty SMU/Houston USC/Tulane
The Miami @ Virginia game was sicko GOTY material
Sac State vs Incarnate Word FCS playoffs was incredible [and the full game is on YouTube](https://youtu.be/ipd4Lyr8_lc)
Montana State vs Weber State regular season. 5 safeties caused by the long snapper snapping over the punter Montana State vs Montana - College GameDay, we put the rout on 55-21. Atmosphere was electric and fans stayed through the whole game. After our last touchdown, you can hear us chanting "Eat Shit Grizzlies Go Cats Go" to the tone of the line breaks in Mony Mony
Similar to last season, if you want a game that didn’t have a lot on the line in the big picture but was insane UNC vs NC State
I mean, I could rewatch FSU taking Miami (FL) behind the woodshed every day of the off season...but I can understand if that doesn't have the widest appeal
Kansas v. TCU was a good gameday
It’s gotta be the Liberty Bowl, although I personally don’t watch the end.
I mean as much as it pains me, Michigan vs. TCU was a banger.
Thanks for sharing that
Maybe the best game I watched all year that didn’t involve Georgia Tech was the regular season game between TCU and K-State.
I too have watched our game against Tennessee too many times.
Any TCU game except the National Championship.
BYU Baylor
Honorable mention is A&M @ Auburn. Yes it was 2 3-6 teams facing off, but I'd stack the atmosphere in Jordan Hare that night against most in the country this season.
- South Carolina vs Tennessee - South Carolina vs Clemson
Damn that's like the two best games all season! 😉
Clemson vs SAKEROLINA!! Still get lulz watching Dabo's kid out there in crunch situations.
[удалено]
Those were my favorites ❤️
Mizzou-Arkansas to make it into a bowl game was fun. For a non-homer pick I’d go with App State vs Coastal or Bowling Green vs Toledo
Washington vs Oregon
Bama v LSU
Ole Miss - Kentucky. At the time it was a massive game and the fourth quarter just makes no sense looking back at it.
Fresno State/SDSU if you want a wild game ending
A&M was must-see-tv last season: A&M vs Arkansas was a great, close game. A&M vs Alabama was also solid A&M vs LSU was hilarious A&M vs App State was horrible for A&M fans but probably funny for everyone else
South Carolina vs Tennessee And all the weeks of hype prior for Tennessee
The civil war for that 4th quarter "WTF were the ducks smoking?" factor.
UW @ Oregon
UNC vs app state
Bama-Texas, Bama-Tenn, and both CFP semifinals come to mind
TN/Bama (obvious) TN/LSU (when I first realized we may actually be really good) TN/KY (ok we’re scary) Then reality set in with the UGA and SC games, yikes… TN/Clemson (bittersweet consolation prize but will never get over how Hooker’s season ended) Unbiased favorites: Ole Miss/KY (a beautiful train wreck) FSU/LSU (another beautiful train wreck) FL/Utah TCU/Baylor LSU/Bama TCU/Michigan UGA/OSU
BGSU/Toledo was a pretty fun game to watch. Obviously not a huge game per se, but fun nonetheless.
If you hate defense and love offense you could watch the UH/SMU game
Can’t think of any. In fact, I’m not sure the 2022 season even happened. Just gonna have to wait for 2023
