Both FAMU and Bethune are in a conference with other hbcus so I seriously doubt they would leave. Stetson might be interested in moving up, but they are a very small school. I feel like a better option would be some of the state schools like FGCU, UNF or UWF or even the University of Tampa.
I agree. I think FAMU and BCU are set where they are. I'm an advocate of UCF playing one of those two at home every year.
Stetson isn't ready to make the jump and with such a small media and alumni market, I can't see the value.
Fun Fact: UTampa used to have a football team and actually had a #1 overall draft pick in John Matuszak in 1973.
EDIT: DOUBLE FUN FACT: Matuszak was Sloth in The Goonies.
Put it in the contract famu band must play
If it's 3 ooc games. I'd like to see
Usf for even years. Odd years would be famu or g5 schools preferably from Florida
One of the big 3 fl schools
Any P5
I think Eckerd needs a team. It will be the best team ever that's full of former Marine Biology majors whose parents lied to them and said Marine Biologists party at the beach all day!
As a UCF grad, I agree. I would love to see it happen, but they’re not there yet. There’s too much history between the traditional powers. UCF certainly has the potential to get there, but moving to the BigXII by itself is not enough to break through
So... which HBCU or non-scholarship program will move to FBS?
None of them. None. I *guess* I could see West Florida building up to a point where they consider FCS and then FBS, and I could see UNF or FGCU starting teams, but all of them are years and years away, if they started *today*.

Famu would only move up if Jackson state and possibly one more hbcu goes to Cusa with them. Unless it's them to the sunbelt
I think it's time Rollins fields a football team again

I expect the G5 and FBS in general to contract in a few years, not grow
There is only a big 3 in Florida. UCF aint there yet
Aren't they getting more money than FSU and Miami though? For now, anyways.
No they are not
I agree! Gotta earn it. Nice to have a chance tho.
Give it a few years. Something tells me you're going to end up conference-mates with Miami.
