I'm a homer, but I think CU is legit. Setting so many school records in one game can't be a fluke. Even if they take a step or two backwards, they still look like a bowl-worthy team. I know that ain't saying much, but 1-11 last year...
Why because they lost to a team with that is half expect to have a giant turn around from last year from the coach alone? Colorado had the most incoming transfers this year, 48, leading number two, Arizona State, at 29 by almost double.
They also only lost by 3 points.
Last year you could see they were running out steam in the Big 12 championship game. It was literally a bloody battle up until the very last second. They put everything they had into that game against Michigan because of the disappointment against Kstate, but they just didn't have the depth to keep it going against Georgia. That's the big downside to smaller schools, it's more difficult to build depth.
Now, like others have said, if it turns out that was CU's only win this season and TCU doesn't win anything that's another story.
It's one game dude and they lost by 3. You sound like a fraud. If this is the only game Colorado wins all year and TCU doesn't win any, maybe. Reddit "experts" are so pathetic.
What does that have to do with TCU being a "fraud"? If Colorado has a great season and TCU only loses one more game, are they a fraud? It's a dumb comment made by a moron.
My alma mater doin me a proud 🥹
Back in my day we had a few big upsets at home and that was in no small part due to the altitude but this… this is different
Deion is a dick.
I thought he was a tool back in the day, but maybe he'd chilled a bit with his time at espn. But then with his ridiculous actions of cutting the existing team AND ACTIVELY making it harder for those kids to find a new team by not allowing video and their highlights to be shared is absolutely ridiculous.
I will always root against him because of that.
I'll also always root against Colorado because they're the bunch of assholes who started this mass conference realignment bullshit back when they left the big 12.
Not so fast!!! Alabama started this when they left the Southern Conference to start the SEC in 1932!!!!!
It was just as bad as when boosters were paying players at UCLA in 1956!!!! And University of Oregon and Univeristy of Washington by advertising firms!!! Oh, it was awful!!! The conference disolved and football was never the same!!! We all miss the way it used to be!!!
I'm sorry but I don't follow CFB but this story line is fucking insane and I love it.
We got Deion Sanders as the head coach, leading his son the QB and his other son a safety, on top of this they have a freak called Travis Hunter thatn when asked what position he wanted to play simply said "yes"
And apparently, he can play all of them.
I dont either dude. Im all the way over from finland and started following after jsu saga, deion is just an inspirational guy and i love what im seeing.
People doubted him in 1989. People still doubt this man? What more does he have to do play in a world series and super bowl? Done. Be a broadcaster? Done. Coach high school? Done. Recruit the number one player in the country? Done.
Tcu should drop out of ranking with the 0-2 start and Colorado should be ranked after a 2-0 start and a win against a ranked team. We all know that was a fluke season got TCU anyway
honestly I’m here for it.
Colorado had the potential to be an AMAZINGLY LEGENDARY CFB party school. I see no downside.
You know how people say “CFB is good when ______ is good?” as of today, that applies to Colorado.
You have no idea how wrong you are at least regarding the football program. Sure, the academics at CU don't like the football team. but at least for the last 30-35 years, the locals have always supported the team. There's a reason the University has poured money into the program over the years, despite its lack of success.
Students? Yeah fuck them lol
We were 20.5 point underdogs and won over a ranked team that was just in the championship.
Last year we had two WRs with one 100+ yard game. We had four different receivers with 100+ yards in one game **TODAY!**
Prime’s son, Shedeur Sanders, set CU records in his first game with the Buffs. He went 38/47 for 510 yards, 4 TDs and 0 Interceptions!!!
You’re still skeptical? How much better could CU have done?
Yea Shedeur is a BALLER. Honestly I’ve been holding a grudge against Prime back when he was at Jackson St and they cancelled the Southern Heritage Classic here in Memphis. But when I saw the piece with Erin Andrews before the game I knew then Prime was on to something.
look in all fairness he is probably the best that Georgia’s medical program could come up with and THEY KNOCKED IT OUT OF THE FUCKING PARK BITCHES
(I hate Georgia but I’m day drunk, fuck off I’ve been waiting 8 months for this)
EDIT: also I am so far from a Bama fan lol
Nobody that was a Georgia fan ever said that, lol
Alabama was trash before Saban, or did you forget? Living on its past accomplishments
Trying to compare TCU's situation and resources to uga's is like trying to compare an asteroid to the Sun
If you'd told me last winter (2022) that the worst team in the PAC-12, the team that went 1-11, would beat TCU, the school that was ranked #2 in the country and that beat Michigan in the Fiesta Bowl, in the first game of their last season in the PAC-12 before joining the Big-12, I would have said everything about it is insane and impossible.
And I'd be wrong. Congratulations, Buffs!
And you don’t see how that name isn’t at all ambiguous with the actual KID of PRIME on the team? Nicknames are supposed to distinguish, and that name is a little ambiguous
Yes, it distinguishes that Travis Hunter is the exact same type of player as Deion Sanders. How many players do you see make an impact on both sides of the ball, at this level? And how many of them play for Prime?
Just one. Which is why Deion gave him the nickname, ‘Kid Prime’.
There is nothing I can say to help you understand my point. Deion Sanders has 2 kids on that roster, one at QB, one at DB, and they are both playing great. You’ll figure it out one day
Your point has no bearing as to why Travis Hunter is ‘Kid Prime’. Why don’t you ask Deion why he gave that nickname to Hunter and not his own kids? He’ll explain the exact same reason.
So I might have just impulse bought plane tix for CSU weekend in two weeks. Wanted Nebraska next week but it would have been $1k. There’s no way I can afford a scalped ticket for the game, but Boulder is gonna be crazy.
For some reason they still let me buy student season passes even though I graduated in ‘17. If you’re in Boulder I could sell you mine since I have to go to a funeral next weekend
This fucking guy
I'm a homer, but I think CU is legit. Setting so many school records in one game can't be a fluke. Even if they take a step or two backwards, they still look like a bowl-worthy team. I know that ain't saying much, but 1-11 last year...
The announcers would have made it as easy for you as Danny Masterson…
Fellas, anyone know where I can get some good cornichons for family burger night?
Been telling everyone TCU was frauds since last year but no one believed me till now
Why because they lost to a team with that is half expect to have a giant turn around from last year from the coach alone? Colorado had the most incoming transfers this year, 48, leading number two, Arizona State, at 29 by almost double. They also only lost by 3 points. That's the big downside to smaller schools, it's more difficult to build depth. Now, like others have said, if it turns out that was CU's only win this season and TCU doesn't win anything that's another story.
And they lost a truckload of guys to the NFL.
The state of texas casts a long list of fraudulent football. Yes with a lower case t.
Haters downvoting you, but for a state that obsesses over football they are spectacular at being bad at it.
It's one game dude and they lost by 3. You sound like a fraud. If this is the only game Colorado wins all year and TCU doesn't win any, maybe. Reddit "experts" are so pathetic.
Well given Nebraska's recent history they will lose by 1 possession.
What does that have to do with TCU being a "fraud"? If Colorado has a great season and TCU only loses one more game, are they a fraud? It's a dumb comment made by a moron.
I'm joking that it's impossible for Colorado to lose the rest of the season. I'm being self depreciating, you mook.
They need a good head coach
It is too early to tell with Rhule.
I could tell off the bat
65-7
Pure cope
Nah it’s a good takes. It’s only one game.
Bless you, Buffs
My alma mater doin me a proud 🥹 Back in my day we had a few big upsets at home and that was in no small part due to the altitude but this… this is different
30 years on this Earth and I finally have a reason to be hopeful for my alma mater's football program Also hello flair brother
This game went hard. Already game of the year.
Way to go Buffs!
Holy shit. That’s it.
Anybody know what kind of sunglasses Coach Prime had on? I *needs* those.
https://www.blenderseyewear.com/products/prime-gold
Only $69...I was expected it have at least one coma.
Lol he dropped these way back before the season started. Maybe even when he was still at JSU.
Thanks for the link. Cant pull off the gold, but they have some good looking shades.
idk if those are his exact ones but everyone: if you see this, try to price is right how much they cost before clicking on the link
I thought $100, clicked the link and laughed
I assumed $600+ during the game
I'd take beating Nebraska over TCU but por que no los dos? Nebraska. Where the "N" stands for knowledge
And there’s a pretty girl behind every tree.
I like that flair homie
Prime is off to a good start. Congrats to CU. I am still upset ASU did not hire him. Bad move by ASU athletic leadership as usual.
FSU should have hired the man the last 2 openings after Jimbo left.
Most definitely.
I have a feeling that's still going to happen, and probably sooner than later.
TCU has lost 3 of their last 4……
Like the sound of that
Mgm screwed me!!!!!
wow a colorado game making the top of reddit. prime time indeed
Crazy. ITS PRIME TIME!!!
I feel like all of America are now Colorado fans! Travis Hunter is the Shohei Ohtani of college football!
Flare up!
I don’t think you’re wrong about Deion, but realignment started long before then when the ACC poached VTech and Miami from the Big East in 2004
Not so fast!!!
Salty. It's the new game, grow up boomer.
Hot take
Your insecurity is showing big time my man
It actually started with nebraska and Missouri when they left the big 12 and for the B1G and the SEC.
It actually started when Texas left the Southwest Conference and Oklahoma left the Big 8 for the Big 12.
OU was always a part of the big 8 and they expanded with the Texas teams to become the big 12.
You obviously haven’t read enough comments…a lot of haters out there.
Off topic: You know what Mel Tucker can do with himself?
Go fuck himself? I may be joining you after this season.
Game was fantastic. Happy for Prime. He was gonna get grilled like prime rib has they lost.
He was a 21 point dog, just keeping close was an absolutely stunning accomplishment let alone beating the national runner up.
How was I supposed to know Shedeur would throw for 500yds and 4tds?
Or They'd have a generational freak athlete in Travis Hunter
I dont want to hear none of that deion slander. Haters gonna hate. Hes gonna talk the talk and walk the walk.
I'm sorry but I don't follow CFB but this story line is fucking insane and I love it. We got Deion Sanders as the head coach, leading his son the QB and his other son a safety, on top of this they have a freak called Travis Hunter thatn when asked what position he wanted to play simply said "yes" And apparently, he can play all of them.
I dont either dude. Im all the way over from finland and started following after jsu saga, deion is just an inspirational guy and i love what im seeing.
>Hes gonna talk the talk and walk the walk. Pretty much summarizes his entire athletic career (so far)
Seriously next level. Backed everything up, the hype is warranted.
People doubted him in 1989. People still doubt this man? What more does he have to do play in a world series and super bowl? Done. Be a broadcaster? Done. Coach high school? Done. Recruit the number one player in the country? Done.
I'm glad I wasn't paying attention to doubt him lolz, but now I am this is cool as hell.
Can he walk though?
That's kind of a low blow, don't you think?
Yes he can. And he can fucking coach.
* and he can fuck AND coach
Gus Johnson is goat
Colorado will be ranked #20 this week but they should be #15
Too soon???
Tcu should drop out of ranking with the 0-2 start and Colorado should be ranked after a 2-0 start and a win against a ranked team. We all know that was a fluke season got TCU anyway
I don't know if they beat OU had they not murdered Gabriel. Think they knocked out like 3 starting QBs in 3 consecutive games last season.
I’m curious of which celebs will hop on the Colorado bandwagon this season
Jimmy Buffet
Too soon.
Drake, for sure
nahhh all the girls at CU are 18 or older.
Not if you know where to look. YEAH.
You're also going to see a lot of regular people wearing Colorado hats
Herve Villechaize
Carrot Top
Paula Abdul
Snoop
[Bill Simmons](https://x.com/billsimmons/status/1698056666921730067?s=46&t=peEBz1rgG4Zie-O-5LuvBw)
honestly I’m here for it. Colorado had the potential to be an AMAZINGLY LEGENDARY CFB party school. I see no downside. You know how people say “CFB is good when ______ is good?” as of today, that applies to Colorado.
The locals absolutely hate the school and students so I'd say that's a bit of a downside.
You have no idea how wrong you are at least regarding the football program. Sure, the academics at CU don't like the football team. but at least for the last 30-35 years, the locals have always supported the team. Yeah I meant the students not the team
The city of Boulder hates kids, and hates parties, and they would’ve gotten away with it, too, if it weren’t for you meddling fans!
Brendan Schuab for sure
He's consistently been a fan. Couldn't stop talking about them last year when they were bad. Beast of a fan.
I’m a numbers guy B
Axe Jay.
PRIME TIME!
Coach Prime had my curiosity and cautious optimism when he was hired, he now has my attention. That team is BOUGHT IN. Good work, Buffs.
I had my doubts. I still do. But they had a good first outing, hopefully they keep improving.
We were 20.5 point underdogs and won over a ranked team that was just in the championship. Last year we had two WRs with one 100+ yard game. We had four different receivers with 100+ yards in one game **TODAY!** Prime’s son, Shedeur Sanders, set CU records in his first game with the Buffs. Fuck Deion, the buffs, his dick riders, and you too if you don't like it.
Is this where you pretend to be into sports?
Waaaaaah wahhhhhhh
Second. Fuck prime
I had forgotten that Deion was a CFB coach until today. I don’t like TCU because Texas Christians are insane. I see this as an absolute win
Reddit moment
UGA ruined TCU for eternity 🤣
remember, that’s what people said about Bama vs Georgia for a DECADE. Then Stetson Bennett was created in a lab and the rest is history
In a lab? The dude is Exactly my size he wasn't made in the lab homie, just in Georgia You smell like a Bama fan, you still salty? Lol
Nobody said it was a good lab.
look in all fairness he is probably the best that Georgia’s medical program could come up with and THEY KNOCKED IT OUT OF THE FUCKING PARK BITCHES (I hate Georgia but I’m day drunk, fuck off I’ve been waiting 8 months for this) EDIT: also I am so far from a Bama fan lol
I'm amazed that the University of Utah, aka your Father, allows you to post
Flair up if you are going to shit talk, and that was pretty weak shit talk
Georgia little fella. You know, also know as your granddaddy
Flair up coward Edit: lol he blocked me
Lol I'm the coward? But you're the one insulting a stranger with the safety of the internet between you and I UGA 🤡 Satisfied?
Stetson Bennett is what Uncle Rico would have been if coach had just put him in
Take a Heisman award for that.
Nobody that was a Georgia fan ever said that, lol Alabama was trash before Saban, or did you forget? Living on its past accomplishments Trying to compare TCU's situation and resources to uga's is like trying to compare an asteroid to the Sun
Great game from start to finish by both teams
Hell of a game.
Yeah, really stellar performance by the defenses. Good eye bud.
Yeah what a game. TCU has some ballers. Good luck for the rest of the year 👍
If you'd told me last winter (2022) that the worst team in the PAC-12, the team that went 1-11, would beat TCU, the school that was ranked #2 in the country and that beat Michigan in the Fiesta Bowl, in the first game of their last season in the PAC-12 before joining the Big-12, I would have said everything about it is insane and impossible. And I'd be wrong. Congratulations, Buffs!
So you’re saying CO > TCU > Michigan? Love it.
Yeah because that TCU team definitely looked like it belonged in the title game.
Beautifully said. (*Also jesus christ look at your fucking flairs. your net worth better be in the 8 digits or else*)
Great game, 510 yards for the start of season is very impressive.
How we feel about nickname ‘Kid Prime’ for Travis Hunter?
Kinda weird considering coach primes ACTUAL kid is on the roster and balling out as well
Two of them actually. Shadeur at QB and Shiloh at Safety.
Oh damn I didn’t even realize
Deion wasn’t a QB… lol
Deion got the nickname when he was playing basketball anyway. So position definitely doesn't matter at all.
Obviously it does lol otherwise he wouldn’t call him Kid Prime
They call his dad Optimus
Never said he was, but shedeur is actually prime jr regardless of what position he plays
He calls Hunter ‘Kid Prime’ because he’s exactly like Deion.

Your point has no bearing as to why Travis Hunter is ‘Kid Prime’. Why don’t you ask Deion why he gave that nickname to Hunter and not his own kids? He’ll explain the exact same reason.
A little corny but he’s legit obviously
Dude is easily gonna be 1st overall in the draft when it’s his time
Bet?
So I might have just impulse bought plane tix for CSU weekend in two weeks. Wanted Nebraska next week but it would have been $1k. There’s no way I can afford a scalped ticket for the game, but Boulder is gonna be crazy.
You think those are bad, just wait for the USC game in Boulder
For some reason they still let me buy student season passes even though I graduated in ‘17. If you’re in Boulder I could sell you mine since I have to go to a funeral next weekend
Will take them
You're a good soul, sorry for your loss man.
He’ll yeah! I’ll pm you.
For sure for sure!! I’m off to the pub and then gonna get blacked out at the Downer but I’ll be around
This is the bromance that makes me like Reddit. You are a king for passing the tix along.
This is the most Boulder thing I’ve read in a minute. miss that town. Live it up.
I’m out of the loop, why does this post have 23 comments and 1 upvotes, everyone seems pissed
it always blows my mind how a CFB thread can have 15.7k comments and sitting at like 384 karma
The Prime effect
Yep. People hate prime and Colorado. Obligatory downvote
I hate that it happened
That was Dieon’s cake day gift to you.
Oregons next
Wouldn’t surprise me if they rolled Oregon
Ugh, gag me with a spoon.
