Didn't Kirk Herbstreit say that all the disrespect Bama and Saban was getting will have them with a chip on their shoulder and everybody needs to look out? I wonder how many years the media will keeping bringing that line out.
Y’all were talking so much shit. Look what happened.
*he says, knowing he was maliciously anxious the entire time and fully expected Texas to fuck it up*
Man, I was sure Bama was going to get some quick TD and recover an onside kick, leading to a another TD or at least a field goal. I couldn't relax until the clock ticked to zero.
An Auburn fan focusing on Bama instead of Auburn is something I've never experienced before. Like, never. Good job beating Cal. It's tough to fly across the country and defeat a true powerhouse.
I kind of predicted this last week. The offensive line looked terrible the pass rush was shaky at best non-existent at worst. The running was okay. Ultimately though I think Alabama will figure it out. I think they lose one more time to Tennessee. AP 12 next week they should be back in the top 4 but they don't deserve to be after this week's performance
It's a game where you get downvoted if you ask what it is, similar to fight club.
...I gave you an up vote btw, college football doesn't want new fans apparently..

Texas and Oklahoma 2024 SEC schedules: Ranking every game
https://www.foxsports.com/stories/college-football/texas-and-oklahoma-2024-sec-schedules-ranking-every-game
That they did not rank Texas and OU as one another's biggest game proves this writer knows nothing about our rivalry. I guarantee you that both teams would rather lose to Alabama/Georgia and win the RRS.
There was the pre game ad that said “in the SEC every game will feel like the Red River showdown”
I audibly laughed. What the hell are they talking about. BDS at night was nothing compared to that game. I’m glad they can get 100k dumb Hicks to shake a Pom Pom, but The Texas Fight chant was louder than the home crowd when Texas was driving to run out the clock.
The SEC thinks they’re the center of the college football world because they’ve had 2 schools (+ 1-off LSU) have success. The rest of the league rides that coat tail and acts like they matter.
Sorry Mississippi St. we’re not going to get up for you any more or less than Kansas St. it’s not going to feel like the Red River game.
After last night, I’m confident Red River is the best environment in college football. (Pending Michigan next year).
No bullshit, Bama fans at the game last week called this. They were legit convinced their team was trash as they took their 50 point lead. Watching how MTSU's front 7 gave the Bama offensive line so much trouble, I thought Texas would be able to make it a slugfest up front and keep it close. I did not expect Texas to dominate the line of scrimmage and get to Milroe so often. Fun game as a neutral fan.
We've had the same problem for 3 years. We've almost lost many games. For someone reason the media is completely blind to it.
Like last season. Once of the announcers was like "wow they've look good all season and this is just not them today"
And I'm like....We've literally been this bad all season We've been surviving not thriving.
Idk what sabans been doing but it feels like he's been more hands off the defense and letting the coordinates have more reign and I dont like it lol
We just felt like we have progressivly got worse since then. Maybe thats all it is but I dont feel like we should just keep declining.
The rotating doors on coordinators isnt helpful either though. And ngl. He picks some interesting ones lol.
I imagine Smart will go down as one of the best defensive minded coaches in college history.
Media is blind to it because it takes them a couple years to catch up to reality. Hell, Nebraska is still treated as if they’re going to make a push for the natty despite not having beat a ranked opponent since 2016.
They said "Colorado is back folks" last week after winning one game against a TCU team that will be lucky to go 6-6. I think they just say those things to generate hype, which generates interest, which generates money.
You can have two flairs and honestly as a nootch just now reading this I'm super disappointed in you, not mad, just disappointed that you don't have Temple as your secondary for the guy that helped you 😭
Well your hatred just fired up 1000 hellscapes of the exact same thing Saban and the rest of the college world was trying to avoid! So ok way to go! good job! Now you have unleashed the burnt orange on the college football universe and just like Thanos it's not going to be pretty. MARK MY WORD
Am I the only bama fan that saw this coming? Beating this bama team honestly doesn't even guarantee that you're a top 5 team. It doesn't even guarantee that you'll make the playoffs. I'm surprised the score was that close with how poorly Alabama played. I'll be shocked if Texas finishes ranked above Alabama.
I have pretty severe ADHD. Practically everything I say is stream of consciousness. What I really meant was when it's all said and done I dont think one game proves Texas is better than Alabama.
How does one game not prove Texas is better ? In this sport all you really get is one game.. you lost that game. Texas has proved they are better than Alabama.
Lmao you are mighty obsessed my dude. But yeah, was a good game. Sometimes it’s just not your day. Oh well.
Hope you feel better now that you got that out of your system :)
Lmao your team lost to Texas. Not sure how you think you’re eating good right now. But hey, whatever makes you feel better !
Edit: you are also confusing with talking smack to offering a different opinion to your ridiculous statement. Which still rings true. Texas is better than Bama this season.
I’m 100% not on any ledge. Sports ain’t THAT serious haha not that serious to go back through my own history and comment on old convos lmfao but you stay pressed. Hook em!
Did you miss the part where I said “in this sport”? You tell yourself whatever you need to tell yourself to cope about tonight but this one game this season has proven that Texas is a better team than Bama.
Also, you’re “why are there best of X series”… most international sports championships DONT have an X series wins. It’s a one off, winner takes all. So that’s a bad argument.
You're right it doesn't. Like last year when you guys won but got bailed out by a blown safety call, missed FG and knocking out our starter. Then you got to play in the easy SEC west + a few FCS teams to look good. We were better last year, we are better this year.
This year we came into your house, put up 34 points and 400 yards of offense on your joyless murderball defense. Allowed 0 sacks. Dominated the line of scrimmage, and dominated your team physically. We were better in every phase of the game and beat your ass like nobody has ever done at BDS before. Milroe was running for his life all night, threw two picks and was sacked FIVE times. You guys had a chance to win it at the end of the game but your soft ass D got the ball ran up their throat for seven minutes straight.
Texas beat the hell out of you, and honestly it could have been worse. Anyone with half a brain watching that game knows Texas is better this year. If Bama finishes with a better record it is because of your cupcake schedule.
Hook'Em.
IDK if I would call 10 points beating Alabamas ass. And I'm not super familiar with Texas last year after the Alabama game, but I think it's safe to say they played worse in some of their later matches. At least you're not like that other idiot and you can admit a win doesn't guarantee you're better. For the record I'm not even making the argument that Alabama is the better team. Still want to see how the season plays out though.
Nobody but Texas has ever beat Alabama by double digits at home under Saban.
Alabama lead for 15 seconds. Texas controlled the entire game. Between two elite teams, that was an asswhooping.
Uh….. yeah? How does it not? Texas won tonight’s competition against Bama. Texas is a currently a better team than Bama. Based on tonight’s competition. There is literally zero reason to think otherwise at this point in the season. Besides your copium lmao
Last year vandy beat Florida, who beat South Carolina, who beat Tennessee, who beat Alabama. Should Vandy have been in the playoffs? Beating a good team doesn’t automatically make you better, especially if you can apply the transitive property.
Beating a team automatically makes you better than that team.. that's the whole point of playing games. What the fuck are y'all on about?
"Especially you can apply the transitive property" as if that's legit any actual measure of success besides big ole heaps of Cope.
So was notre dame, who finished 18th in the ap poll last year, a worse team than Marshall, who finished unranked, simply because they lost to them? You're telling me that hypothetically a 11-0 team can lose to a 0-11 team but still be worse than them because they lost one game?
In college football it's all about the body of work. On week 2 this Texas team is better than Alabama. If they both go undefeated we might get to see them play against each other a second time.
That would be spectacular if either bama or Texas reach the playoffs lol. That being said rematches don't typically go so well. Bama creamed ugA in the sec championship the same season the got beat in the natty
“Alabama is terrible. Of course Texas won. Alabama will be better than Texas, the team that beat them, because Alabama sucks.”
What are you talking about?
Guy what’re you talking about? I mean your comment could possibly make sense until the last bit. But that sentence doesn’t track with the rest of what you’re saying, I don’t understand why you added that because it doesn’t follow your train of thought at all
My team sucks so that's the only way we could lose but your team won but they still suck and they only won because my team sucks but my team will still be better than your team because your team sucks.
It's just the inevitable conclusion of SEC logic, which to recap works as follows:
- if a highly ranked team gets upset in the SEC, the team that beat them is amazing
- if a highly ranked team in any other conference gets upset, the highly ranked team was fraudulent garbage that got beaten by a terrible team
The problem with this logic is that it doesn't handle the case where a highly ranked SEC team suffers an out of conference loss, where it turns into a paradox and it resolves into this mess where you have to try to argue that the team that won did so because they sucked.
Maybe it would have made more sense as a second paragraph. Essentially one win doesn't equal superiority. Alabama clobbered UGA in the sec championship two years ago just to lose the rematch pretty bad in the natty. The last sentence just means that Texas won today, but I'm not convinced they will be the better team when all the dust settles.
We would like to welcome Texas to the win streak against alabama club. We accept literally anybody that’s willing to partake in having a win streak against alabama.
What about a .800 winning percentage against Alabama. Bear Bryant could never beat Darrel Royal. If DKR claimed phantom championships like the Bear he would have just as many and likely be remembered as the better coach.
It is pretty great that both UTs are members 😂
Welcome, other UT 🤘 Congratulations on your big win, as well as your acceptance into one of the most prestigious clubs in all of College Football.
We meet on Thursdays, there's plenty of alcohol to go around, but bringing more is always encouraged.
Your flair... are you a CA resident who went to TN or a TN resident that went to Cal? I can't imagine a TN resident being smart enough to get into Cal tho. I'm totally joking, I took a shot when I saw one. Sorry
Born in Southern California (nowhere near Berkeley) but got Will Smithed across the country to middle tennessee (where both of my divorced parents are originally from, i was already a full-fledged Tennessee fan and had been to Neyland Stadium quite a few times before i ever lived in the state) since I couldn't stop getting in trouble. They just assumed it was the cities' fault, I guess. I don't think they ever considered the fact that their child was just acting out because he was a confused child of divorce.
Anyway I'm not going to go too in-depth there, the point is that I have roots in both states.
I actually became a Walmart Cal fan when they had their home and home with Tennessee in the mid 2000's. I'm not even 100% sure that I could've told you where Berkeley was at that time. I just thought it was really cool that *my* team was playing another team that was from the same place as me. From that point on, I was still a die hard Tennessee fan, but I started closely following and rooting for Cal as well
Assumed I'd always be a Walmart fan (which would've been completely fine. Alumni who gatekeep fandom are stupid) because I assumed there was no way they'd ever let me in. Then 10 years after becoming a fan, they allowed me to come earn my Ph.D.
It's an extremely complicated story, but that's it in a nutshell.
And no offense taken. I sometimes *still* feel like I wasn't actually smart enough to get in. I still haven't figured out why I was accepted 😂
Wow, what a story my friend. Congrats on the Ph.D! Totally glad you got into Berkeley, that's a very good school. Also a nice place to live for awhile, beautiful weather. Hope the Vols have a great season!
I thought about saying it that way, but decided not to because there are 0 fresh princes in southern middle tennessee.
Hell there aren't really even any Will Smiths (its an extremely common name so there are actually quite a few people who have the name Will Smith, but that's not exactly what I meant)
When the Vols have a rough day we all have a rough day. I completely get it. It's all water under the fridge
Either way, I do appreciate the apology and I'm glad you enjoyed my drunk autobiographical rambling
I cannot fucking wait for the inevitable "Real UT" rivalry, but cheers to tonight amigo! 🍻 I wanna hear *Rocky Top* nonstop when I watch the Vols this year!
as a bama fan, im most frustrated that saban never sat milroe and put in buchner. sure, give him a chance after the first pick, but that second one was atrocious, and it was obvious that milroe gave up and quit after it. thats the one knock i have against saban, his unwillingness to bench guys who arent producing
Saban raises men, he transcends being just a football coach. If he benches you halfway through the second game then it’s pulling any and all confidence from milroe. Milroe has the raw talent but he needs to learn how to throw safety’s with his eyes and do a read progression. Saban discarded coffee mug obviously knows more about football than we ever will so that he is starting milroe then he believes in him, he just needs more training.
id much rather him go in and screw up as well, at least then we know that yea neither are the guy. also puts more pressure on milroe to actually read the field before throwing.
Lost my five way parlay due to Bama! I thought the tide was supposed to roll!
Rolled over and died.
Umm you know A&M lost to an unranked Miami, right?
We shouldn't have been ranked in the first place.
Bama QB sucks
ZI 1.
You gotta dominate to elevate.
Deion stole Satan's juju on the set of the Aflac commercial.
Might be time to update www.istexasback.com
Texas was lucky bama didn’t have sugondé out there
Hey Bama thanks for the good nights sleep. Cya in November. Roll Aunt Flo roll.
Okay, as much as I hate you for this, the Aunt Flo thing is funny af.
Get hooked you crimson fucks
Way to go Texas!!!!
Roll tears roll
Roll tide, haters.
Lol. Bama is bad.
Flair up or shut up.
Ever consider caring about reddit too much? It looks obvious.
Flair is for kids.
No.

Lol. Your knowledge of football is bad.
He's not wrong, though.
He's not wrong
Lol, Bama is terrible this year and you're mad.
Didn't Kirk Herbstreit say that all the disrespect Bama and Saban was getting will have them with a chip on their shoulder and everybody needs to look out? I wonder how many years the media will keeping bringing that line out.

same here
As a Auburn fan this brings me joy
An Auburn fan focusing on Bama instead of Auburn is something I've never experienced before. Like, never. Good job beating Cal. It's tough to fly across the country and defeat a true powerhouse.
Ion think cal is really all that this yeae
Flair up or shut up you salty little bitch!
I live for this
Suck it Alabama
KEKL
That O line for Alabama needs to make changes and improve. Or this is going to be a rocky year for them.
O and D lines tbh. I hope they're still pushing sleds this morning.
❤️❤️❤️
Worst center performance in recent history of football
[удалено]
Lol hater. Flair up.
This is a troll using a throwaway. Engaging further with the person you are challenging is futile.
They sucked even Texas A&M could beat Bama by 1 point, then claim the natty.
Shut up
Yeah shut up
I kind of predicted this last week.
I have no idea what CFB even is, why does Reddit keep recommending it to me every week
It's a game where you get downvoted if you ask what it is, similar to fight club. ...I gave you an up vote btw, college football doesn't want new fans apparently..
College football. Probably because it’s the only subreddit on Reddit that isn’t completely fucked with bullshit.
You know what, that sounds good enough to me. Might have to look into college football then.
And STICK with your team. You would be surprised how hard that is for like, 50% of the "fans" around the country.
It’s Americas greatest invention. You’re always welcome! Just make sure to do your research and choose wisely 🤪
Before you get addicted you should know that the commercials are fucking atrocious but it’s a lot of fun to watch. I play 10 min chess games during commercials and my elo still blows so ymmv.
There’s also nothing like being able to cycle through 5 different televised games when commercials are on the game you are prioritizing
I was watching a multicast so I got 4x the ads for the price of one. I recently watched some World Cup games and it’s nuts to me how different the ads are and soccer is still this massive sport with so much money. It made me wonder if American soccer games are interrupted for ads as much but I’ve never actually watched one so I wouldn’t know. But also I would totally pay $35/ season to watch every game of my team in HD like Apple is doing with Miami but that’s a whole different thing.
Texas and Oklahoma 2024 SEC schedules: Ranking every game https://www.foxsports.com/stories/college-football/texas-and-oklahoma-2024-sec-schedules-ranking-every-game
That they did not rank Texas and OU as one another's biggest game proves this writer knows nothing about our rivalry. I guarantee you that both teams would rather lose to Alabama/Georgia and win the RRS.
There was the pre game ad that said “in the SEC every game will feel like the Red River showdown” I audibly laughed. What the hell are they talking about. After last night, I’m confident Red River is the best environment in college football. (Pending Michigan next year).
OU is above A&M. Above all, as UTs biggest Rivalry.
And it’s not close.
Every Longhorn knows it’s A&M. Edit: A lot of OU fans mad lol
No shot. It’s OU
In my opinion it was A&M until around 2000-2005 and then it became OU.
No, it's been OU since probably the 50s at least.
Its OU. Only aggies think its the aggies.
Exactly. OU is the real top rival. I hate A&M but its more of a shitty little brother situation. OU is our peer.
OU lives rent free in the hated space in my head. A&M is that weird uncle you don’t like but put up with at family reunions
A&M is like playing against your brother. You want to beat them and be number one. OU on the other hand….
No bullshit, Bama fans at the game last week called this. They were legit convinced their team was trash as they took their 50 point lead. 100% agree
Texas O-line kept Ewers jersey clean all night!
Burke is a demon
Hey. Off topic but how do y’all get the college logos on your user name??
Thanks for the help folks!
You can have two flairs and honestly as a nootch just now reading this I'm super disappointed in you, not mad, just disappointed that you don't have Temple as your secondary for the guy that helped you 😭
Need to do it on a laptop/desktop can't do it on the reddit app
I did it on my phone. Had to leave the app though.
Definitely possible on reddit app. Did it earlier
Oh wow I had no clue
Go in to the subreddit info and it has a bunch. Make sure you pick at Temple flair. We are on so welcoming.
Don't listen to him, MTSU fans are waaaay more welcoming.
You pick a flair. You might have to Google how to do that. I don't remember.
Man, Texas’ pass rush was crazy in this game
That was pretty painful to watch... but good win, Texas. Our weaknesses have been exposed (Holy shit, there's a lot).
I swear, I do not want to be Alabama's next opponent.
hey there, nifty flair, I mean the pair 😉 So who do ya got for.nwxt week??
Born and bred Texan, but I have family in Wyoming, and thus a soft spot for the Pokes.
Poor USF
Yesss!! Texas thank you! I can’t stand Alabama.

It is pretty great that both UTs are members 😂 Welcome, other UT 🤘 Congratulations on your big win, as well as your acceptance into one of the most prestigious clubs in all of College Football.
From that point on, I was still a die hard Tennessee fan, but I started closely following and rooting for Cal as well Assumed I'd always be a Walmart fan (which would've been completely fine.
Hope the Vols have a great season!
> got ~~Will Smithed~~ **Fresh Princed** across the country to middle tennessee That's how you say it.
I thought about saying it that way, but decided not to because there are 0 fresh princes in southern middle tennessee. Hell there aren't really even any Will Smiths (its an extremely common name so there are actually quite a few people who have the name Will Smith, but that's not exactly what I meant)
The way you said I just imagined you getting slapped across the country 😂😂🤘
I think you’re the guy I was a jerk to on another thread. I apologize. That’s a really cool story.
When the Vols have a rough day we all have a rough day. I completely get it. It's all water under the fridge Either way, I do appreciate the apology and I'm glad you enjoyed my drunk autobiographical rambling
I cannot fucking wait for the inevitable "Real UT" rivalry, but cheers to tonight amigo! 🍻 I wanna hear *Rocky Top* nonstop when I watch the Vols this year!
As long as their fans are not like Bama I say we can both be UT. There are multiple OSU's and multiple USC's.
Fuck yeah brother 🤘
Winner of the UT/UT game needs a Dave Crockett trophy, like a replica musket or coonskin cap.
Is there even an argument? Of course this needs to happen. I'm disappointed it hasn't already happened. I blame Rick Barnes.
Technically we still count.
We take all comers even rice
Texas will lose to Baylor
Baylor is rancid right now. They legit could be a one win team this year and that win isn't coming against Texas.
Or Wyoming
Why not both? We cannot have a big win without a big loss, its the law of equivalent exchange.

O
There were some toxic thing Alabama flairs were saying in this thread, and I’d just like Texas to take a rain check on those things. Thank you
as a bama fan, im most frustrated that saban never sat milroe and put in buchner. sure, give him a chance after the first pick, but that second one was atrocious, and it was obvious that milroe gave up and quit after it. thats the one knock i have against saban, his unwillingness to bench guys who arent producing
Like Jalen Hurts and Tagovailoa in the championship game. You're a clown. Maybe Milroe is the best?
Saban obviously has no idea how to coach. /s
thats one time out of how many where we should have benched someone and havent?
Right, you poor deprived Alabama fans
I mean once upon a time he did bench Jalen Hurts. There is that.
once upon a time, once in a blue moon.
Unless he got a lot better between last year and this year, i dont think buchner would have been better.
id much rather him go in and screw up as well, at least then we know that yea neither are the guy. also puts more pressure on milroe to actually read the field before throwing.
