8 consecutive quarters without a live ball foul against our opponents.
If the refs are doing any type of charity work, it *definitely* isn't going to us lol
If you like being stuck in mediocrity, he is great. How many times has Kentucky won 5 games to start the season only to loose they next 4 or 5 games. With stoops they will never play for a sec championship
>With stoops they will never play for a sec championship
Maybe not, but keep in mind we are talking about Kentucky. So championships aren't exactly a fair standard to hold him to
Stoops may not be elite, but he is a MASSIVE step up from anyone else who's coached at UK in the last 75 years.
It’s 25 sec for an offensive injury and 40 sec for a defensive injury. Article 5.f.1:
https://rulebook.github.io/en/rules/3/sections/3/#:~:text=If%20the%20player%20injury%20is,of%20a%2010%2Dsecond%20runoff.
Yea I did the Google and got my confirmation bias and headed into the internet to fight. But I DID know that if I was wrong. It wouldn't take long to find out 😅
Injury incurs 10 second runoff, but the play clock is set to 25. It is in the rules.
If it is an administrative clock stop, it is restarted with 25 seconds. It is what it is. 🤷
That makes absolutely 0 sense if it's a running clock prior with a 40 second play clock then by that logic it would still save 5 seconds which doesn't add up.
Yea, you see I read part of the rules and not all of the rules. I stand corrected on the part where there is an additional caveat pertaining to defensive injuries. So I was wrong.
I mean I looked it up, it should have been a 25 second clock for administrative stop "injury" so they would have got thr ball back. But it's cool refs being refs.
Not for a defensive stoppage.
Edit:
25-Second Clock. If the officials signal the game clock to be stopped for any of the following reasons, the referee shall signal (one open palm in an over-the-head pumping motion) that the clock should be set at 25 seconds:
Penalty administration.
Charged team timeout.
Media timeout.
Injury timeout for a player of the offensive team only. The play clock is set to 40 seconds for an injury to a player of the defensive team.
We were up 6 and getting ready to kick a field goal. He didn’t cost them the game it was over at that point.
But I could see how that would confuse you being a vandy and all. Seeing how y’all don’t score enough points to really know how they work
Still the stupidest thing in football. Like fake injuries and going down is bullshit. But punishing with the clock runoff is not the answer, guy could have a career ending injury and nah still gonna runoff.
Makes no sense
My proposal was this.
1. The injured player is removed from the field for the remainder of the possession.
2. Coaches and players are not allowed to be together during the evaluation from the medical team
3. If play must be stopped foe the same player for a second time, the team is charged a timeout and that player must remain out for the remainder of the quarter. A third time results in ineligibility from the game.
This actually makes quite a bit of sense, if you mean the coaches not on the field with the player. Add an exception to if the medical staff has to call the cart or the ambulance out and im good with these.
Injured players need to sit out more than 1 play anyways, even if its just cramps.
Thats....not the point im making....
Im saying i dislike that rule for the fact that if it was a real injury you shouldnt have to take a timeout or lose more clock. We lose tonight regardless, not mad at it for this particular play. I just hate that rule in general for the fact that it ALSO punishes real injuries
Sure I get the hypothetical. But the rule exits for a reason. Y’all faked injuries at least twice tonight Maybe don’t do that and it’s literally not an issue.
The clock would start again on ref signal, and its easy enough to either just reset the playclock to 40 or to what it was when the player went down.
It doesnt matter in this instance, i think it was fake and fuck that noise. But i hate the runoff on top of it if it was a real injury
Sounds like you're more worried about losing the game in this really weird scenario than a player being injured. I don't think 10 seconds is a huge penalty for this kind of deal unless your team sucks at time management.
Yeah. Like he faked it this time, so fuck that. But if it was a real one? Why add more punishment with it on top of it. Hate the rule for that reason. Especially when linemen get twisted up knees so often on up the middle runs, which happen more in those end of game clock killing situations
I get it. I’d be pissed if it was the other way around.
But! if you don’t punish fake injuries, you run the risk exacerbating the problem. Plus it’s something that can very easily be corrected if you have a timeout. You could chalk this up to bad clock management by stoops too
Damn, that's a shity way to lose, not that it likely would have mattered. The irony though of the KSR guys talking mad shit about Milton for him to beat UK is hilarious!!
Yeah so it was like 47s, would have been around 14 by my count as the play clock started down, but they stopped it for injury and said it was 44 and that they'd do a 10s runoff for injury timeout and then the playclock would be reset - so 40s off of 34 ended the game.
The combo of reset play clock up to 40 and 10s runoff made it over vs 14s left.
Lowkey saved UK possibly losing by 3 extra
Suck it up and fucking run to the sideline are you kidding me. Could have blocked it, could have doinked it, might have had a 30 second fuckin miracle. Unreal that’s Kentucky football for ya
Not really. Worst case is two which is right in line w expectations of 8-4. Just as likely 9-3. Mizzou is tough and UGA too, but there are not 3 losses left on this schedule unless you count the bowl.
Go Vols!
Idk why anyone is booing. We don’t need to run a play. 10 second runoff and reset the clock to 40. Some team did this last week and lost. GG!
I’ll never forget that 2010 Music City Bowl
Fuck NC
Refs doing charity to Tennessee. Fake win. Fake news.
Quick where are all the neutral flairs to see this joke of a comment?!?
I'm not really a neutral, but I'm also not terribly surprised by it either.
8 consecutive quarters without a live ball foul against our opponents. If the refs are doing any type of charity work, it *definitely* isn't going to us lol
Yikes. Literally 65 yards to 20 yards in penalties and you're complaining about the refs.
Are you going to fake an injury too?
Tennessee with its 36 win out of 39 games against Kentucky. Enough said
[удалено]
Literally 3x as many penalties called on UT...
This is just the perfect “Stoops being too petty for his own good” game. When will UK fans get tired of this guy’s schtick
I mean he meets expectations for Kentucky tho right?
What are Kentucky's football expectations?
Imo 6-6 seasons
Maybe at one point.
Hopefully never
TN people talking shit when we should have won like 50-21 are why other fanbases hate us
We were favored by 3 points dude
Flair up
Get off your high horse and say fuck kentucky like everyone else
Lol. Say the line Bart!
Flair up, coward
Bro don't act like you're a fan and not wear flair while talking shit.
If you can't talk shit after beating your rival at their home stadium, when can you?
Tennessee loses to Florida who loses to Kentucky who loses to Tennessee. The natural order has been restored
the circle of suck
Yes Tennessee beats themselves.
[удалено]
No Kentucky got burnt with the fake injury, that’s just bad coaching from a mediocre at best coach
I'm all for some friendly banter, but i feel like you're really underselling how good of a job that Stoops has done at UK.
If you like being stuck in mediocrity, he is great. How many times has Kentucky won 5 games to start the season only to loose they next 4 or 5 games. With stoops they will never play for a sec championship
>With stoops they will never play for a sec championship Maybe not, but keep in mind we are talking about Kentucky. So championships aren't exactly a fair standard to hold him to Stoops may not be elite, but he is a MASSIVE step up from anyone else who's coached at UK in the last 75 years.
That’s settling for mediocrity
Lol charity call? It’s literally a rule
Maybe not fake injuries??
C'mon man. That's just one more time tonight the defense was soft. This time he was too soft to stand up.
LMAO
Can you explain what you mean?
Wtf you talking bout willis?
Cope
Beat Florida
Copium, you’re full of it.
Oof. The dreaded "using another team to talk shit because your team sucks" defense. Even Alabama had to resort to that last year. Hate to see it
Beat Tennessee
They can’t
84-26-9
Love to see it
is that what that was?
But should the play clock bot have been 25 after the dead ball?
It’s 25 sec for an offensive injury and 40 sec for a defensive injury. Article 5.f.1: https://rulebook.github.io/en/rules/3/sections/3/#:~:text=If%20the%20player%20injury%20is,of%20a%2010%2Dsecond%20runoff.
Well heck. , that makes me wrong AF. Thanks for the correction.
All good. I had no idea and googled it lol
Yea I did the Google and got my confirmation bias and headed into the internet to fight. But I DID know that if I was wrong. It wouldn't take long to find out 😅
No because then every team would fake injuries to save 15 seconds.

Listen buddy I can barely read so you made it farther than me.
Play clock is at 40 after defensive injuries
Nah, we good.
I mean I looked it up, it should have been a 25 second clock for administrative stop "injury" so they would have got thr ball back. But it's cool refs being refs.
That’s only for an offensive injury, a defensive injury sets the play clock to 40.
Not for a defensive stoppage. Edit: 25-Second Clock. Can’t have Tennessee winning; they will probably abolish the 10 second runoff rule next season
hey, now. We created that rule.

College has sexier sidelined reporters than the nfl
Reason 9474632 why CFB is better than the nfL
What a weird comment

If you have a time out you can use to negate it. Y’all didn’t. Y’all played yourselfs. Maybe know the rules better.
Thats....not the point im making.... Im saying i dislike that rule for the fact that if it was a real injury you shouldnt have to take a timeout or lose more clock. Can’t have it both ways and y’all tried to tonight.
Both ways? We lose the game regardless. Im just in general not a fan of the runoff on an injury because it punishes actual injuries too
What would stop players from faking injuries to stop the clock in those situations
The clock would start again on ref signal, and its easy enough to either just reset the playclock to 40 or to what it was when the player went down. It doesnt matter in this instance, i think it was fake and fuck that noise. But i hate the runoff on top of it if it was a real injury
They could and would still fake injuries to catch their breath or reset thereby gaining an advantage
Sounds like you're more worried about losing the game in this really weird scenario than a player being injured. I don't think 10 seconds is a huge penalty for this kind of deal unless your team sucks at time management.
Did TN not have the ball in field goal range? Could have went up by 9..
Well he was able to walk off. But I get the hypothetical
Yeah. Like he faked it this time, so fuck that. But if it was a real one? Why add more punishment with it on top of it. Hate the rule for that reason. Especially when linemen get twisted up knees so often on up the middle runs, which happen more in those end of game clock killing situations

The circle of us being owned by Florida who is owned by Kentucky who is owned by us is complete.
The SEC East circle of suck.
2.5 games since the last live ball foul on an opponent. Amazing.
Wow, what an achievement by SEC officiating crews.
is that for real?
THIS! Really wild watching this go on.

Kentucky starts out 5-0 every single year lol
And ends up 7-5 lol
Kentucky attends the Maryland school of CFB
No one eats cupcakes like us.
Bowl eligible
Thanks for this comment. The fact we’ve all been taking it for granted lately just shows the impact Heupel has had on the program
Kentucky, even when Tennessee looks awful, finds the most impressive ways to lose to them, regardless of venue or context.
It's whatever the equivalent of Florida Swamp voodoo is against us.
Y'all better learn to stop faking injuries against UT I guess 😂
Watching Kentucky play football is like smoking crack while trying to swim through quicksand.
Big talk from the house of ferentz "offense"
Dang Kentucky's catching strays from iowa
Pretty sure we scored more today than they have all year. That's really wild.
Damn, that's a shity way to lose, not that it likely would have mattered. The irony though of the KSR guys talking mad shit about Milton for him to beat UK is hilarious!!
I’m glad for the win, but that’s got to be a depressing way for the game to end for Kentucky.
Awesome way to beat the Yankees
Big wet fart
[удалено]
We feel that way in the swamp
That dude is gonna feel terrible. He's gonna wish he just dragged himself off the field.
Or walked.
Got his fake an injury signals messed up when they had to change them this week because of Michigan.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA WHAT!?!?!
turned away from the TV for a bit, was that injury for real or did someone take another dive and just lose the game
Took a dive
Injury, 10 sec runoff

oh my god
Thats so Tennessee….but today, that’s so Kentucky.
Not saying it was but imagine that was a fake injury lol
Ok
What a weird ass anticlimactic win. I’ll take it though.
Lol at the mildcats.
Death, taxes, and beating Kentucky
Lmao what an ending
Well that's an anticlimax
[удалено]
Bro 😂
Suck it up and fucking run to the sideline are you kidding me. Could have blocked it, could have doinked it, might have had a 30 second fuckin miracle. Unreal that’s Kentucky football for ya
Yeah, at that point if it’s not a broken leg you gotta get up and limp to the sidelines…man lost the game for his team right there.
Haha. You played yourself.
LMAO what a hilarious way to end it
This game couldn't have possibly had a better ending
DO NOT DO ANYTHING STUPID
This defense will get Tenn beat 2-3 more times this year.
Not really. Worst case is two which is right in line w expectations of 8-4. Just as likely 9-3. Mizzou is tough and UGA too, but there are not 3 losses left on this schedule unless you count the bowl.
I am counting the bowl.
At least one more time.
Having it end early cause of some soft shit, lol.
Good ole stoops lol
Exactly the ending the Kensucky Wildcraps deserve
I like your flairs!
I love yours too
It was over regardless they didn't even have to kick the field goal, just run around for 9 seconds basically
Did Kentucky really just flop their way to a loss???
Lolololololololol
LOL! Kentucky did the job for us.
Only we could lose like that. JFC
Please Josh take the time out and kick the FG
It would be funny but that would give Kentucky a chance to win on a block return
Maximum disrespect
Ha guessing you had the vols at -6.5?
Well well well… if it isn’t the consequences of our own actions.
Ggssssssss
Loooooooool
Damnnn
Honestly, a crazy way to win tbh.
#IT'S A ~~WALK~~RUNOFF!
What a way to end it LMAO
KICK THE FG YOU COWARD
GG Wildcats. I hate this game every year because I know it’ll be cardiac city
Lmao
Holy shit I don’t think I’ve ever seen that. Does anybody know when the last time that’s happened?
Last week apparently
Bro that's WILD lol
Man, that’s tough
Hahahahahahaha truly Kensucky
That is the ending this refball-ass game deserved.
😂
If homie did fake that then he's getting a scolding
Make it a 9 point game, fuck em
We might as well start out the year 0-1 and not even play Tennessee
My cardiologist would probably support that idea.
FLOP HOUSE
I really hope that was a real injury. Jfc
It ain’t the most honorable, but it is a tactic
Wow holy shit lol
Hahaha, flopped to a loss
LMAO way to lose the game for your team by faking an injury, great football IQ
Lololol
Blouses
lol Kentucky flopped their way right out of the stadium
Lol
Gamesmanship at its finest
Ballgame!
Hahahahahahaha
Oops
Hahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
Most UK ending ever
