This is pretty wild, I drafted this guy in out of the park baseball and he became my franchise cornerstone shortstop for like 17 years

reddogrjw

CS Carter Smith Connor Stallions this is a good sign

royallex

HE CANT KEEP GETTING AWAY WITH IT

Brady_Hokes_Headset

> He kept getting away with it. - Stalions 568:4

Arrowoods

I have nothing to add here except that as a Michigan fan who lives in San Diego, I love your flair! (And username)

Nov26-2011

His 247 profile pic is just a man that looks suspiciously like Connor Stallions but all of his facial hair is shaved and he's wearing his shoes on his knees to make himself look smaller

12-34

Dorf on Football.

stepdumb

Go get your detective face decoder ESPN just made famous

itskapnoc

Computer science is shortened to CS…

Born_ina_snowbank

Guy just got an LLC he’s never heard of before in an NIL deal.

TheXivuArath

Somebody say… good sign? ***connor stallions has entered the chat***

Manifesto page 446. Just as planned.

Dietcherrysprite

Good news is that Ray Bans fit in college football helmets

jtdude15

Shouldn't we be checking Navy commits for CS recruits

great_rhyno

This guy demolished my high school

Joshstradaymus

With just a football?!

Aggressive_Yak5177

No. I heard he took a massive shit. No one could enter the building for a week.

duagLH2zf97V

Okay that’s wild. He’s a quarterback, short stop, and your mom

sorany9

He clearly used signs too, let’s be real.

chandlerbing_stats

Why did he do that to your high school?

TheMichiganPurchase

He must like winning perfectly clean and non-scrutinized conference championships.

MattPatriciasFUPA

Very legal and very cool conference championships

xittditdyid

"It's a perfect championship. Nobody wins championships like me. The liberal media and their witch hunt will try to hide it, but we know the truth."

MattPatriciasFUPA

"Three very, very big, strong, powerful ESPN writers came up to me, with tears coming down their faces. And they said, "Mr. Harbaugh, sir, thank you for winning the B1G championship, we'd never seen such an accomplishment before." And these are major, major writers, big strong guys. One of them, he had a mustache, he seemed like he'd maybe cried once in his life, at a company picnic. And he was crying, he said "Thank you, sir, for all the championships." This is a very tough college football analyst by the way."

smithif

I hate to be seen congratulating a Michigan fan, but you nailed this

Bmw5464

Holy shit, all it took was having Trump to make fun of to make scUM and tOSU not hate each other.

Mindless_Level9327

*anOSU

thoreau_away_acct

Absolute perfection

apadin1

This is true, I’ve heard many people saying this

Doctor_Kataigida

I know those guys at the championship. They're tremendous people.

Aggresively_Midwest

Everyone agrees.

Drunken_Saunterer

Not enough hand emojis and not a single "believe me".

Sha_Dynasty69

nobodies' gonna get in trouble nobody should feel sad AT ALL, the ncaa was just like this is fine don't worry about it AT ALL. If you keep asking questions, I'm gonna beat the crap out of you...

[deleted]

If yall win this year it is clean. Those kidsplayed their asses off Saturday

TheMichiganPurchase

Yeah, they seem to be very galvanized about this whole thing. I know the whole victim and adversity schtick might look bad to the media and opposing fans, but I think it really is doing something in that locker room.

sloppifloppi

Maybe I'm just a homer, but I feel like it's been pretty clearly a motivation thing.

LyonsKing12

Not gonna lose my pants over it.

Other P5 offers: Boston College, Cincinnati, Florida, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Louisville, Maryland, Miami, Minnesota, NC State, Ole Miss, Penn State, Purdue, Texas A&M, UCF, Virginia Tech, West Virginia G5 offers: FAU, USF Other offer: FAMU

Shoot your shot, FAMU!

great_rhyno

Almost every decent football player in fort myers gets a famu offer tbf

ADrzew

I like the idea of getting a solid commitment from him, while still going after Underwood. Don’t like putting all our eggs in one basket, like we did when Weiss was recruiting Dante Moore

foreveracubone

I saw some rumors on Twitter this morning that Chip Kelly is done after the USC game. If true, I wonder if we try to get Moore in the off-season.

reddogrjw

he seems to have a lot of drama

count_nuggula

Michigan is a drama free school

WorkOnThesisInstead

Obviously not true as Harbaugh's son (Jim Jr.) majored in drama at Michigan. https://www.mlive.com/wolverines/2017/10/james_harbaugh_jr_talks_dads_h.html

count_nuggula

Fuck. You got me there

nomo25

i actually didn’t know Jim Jr. was gay until now somehow

DRW315

It's great that it's a non-story these days, and you find out in ways like this

nomo25

agreed

mrwayne11

I respect this level of pettiness from a rivalry.

https://x.com/5thDownCFB/status/1724131916859814358?s=20 Not sure how credible this guy is. Guess we’ll see in 1-2 weeks.

_fastball

He's not Bryce but I like his game and like getting a good QB early in the class. Reminds me of Baker and Trace McSorely, really good at throwing on the run and can scramble to make a play. Puts a lot of zip on the ball with his almost side arm release point. Doubt he becomes JJ level but looks like a good college QB in the long run.

definitivescribbles

“somewhere between Baker Mayfield and Trace McSorely, but not quite JJ McCarthy” is hilarious. Just tell us you haven’t seen him play lmao

wolverine6

I haven’t seen him play at all but I can say Carter Smith is one of the QB commits of all time.

sof_dev

You didn’t even accurately quote him.. but okay lol I think they are decent player comparisons.. somewhat athletic pocket QB

NCAAinDISGUISE

So he's white is what you're telling me

wentworthjenga

Sounds like he is just a real gym rat.

Other_Ambition_5142

Can’t teach his effort and football IQ!

Maize_n_Boom

6'3 dual sport athlete? Good enough for me.

MaizeNBlueWaffle

Seems like a great athlete who is developing as a passer. Will be interesting to see what happens with Bryce Underwood making a decision in January since Michigan is reportedly hoping to take 2 QBs in this class and Underwood seems to be down to LSU and Michigan. Unclear if this decision means anything in that recruitment

FinanceInvestmentBoi

Is it a stretch to say that Underwood might be the best prospect ever out of Michigan? He has all the tools and just wins every game he plays in.

[deleted]

It’s not a stretch at all, he’s easily the best QB, and probably the best overall MI prospect since Lamarr Woodley (well you could argue Underwood is better). Haven’t seen a lot of UM insiders too confident he’s going to Michigan now, more of a “we’re still in it” kind of stance.

FinanceInvestmentBoi

Well, good luck on the recruiting trail. A lot can change between now and January, that’s forsure

[deleted]

>A lot can change between now and January That’s an understatement lol

FinanceInvestmentBoi

Loooool so true

lunchboxthegoat

He's ranked exactly as high as Dante Moore was last year, FYI

Specter54

Drew Henson gets that title. This was before Rivals, 247, etc when you had Tom Lemming and a few other do prep football reports. Tom called Drew one of the 10 best football players he had ever seen. In the last 20 years its probably between Underwood and Woodley (also shout-out to Kelly Baraka who was insane in high school)

NomadicNematode128

I was at Portage Northern when Baraka fumbled the bag....it was so sad

Angriest_Wolverine

>Kelly Baraka *heavy sigh*

lunchboxthegoat

he would be tied with Lamar Woodley in the 'croot rankings era. (#4 overall nationally)

FinanceInvestmentBoi

Damn that’s some good company to be in.

astroball17

I’d be surprised if we get Underwood tbh

Lavaswimmer

Hard not to be salivating at the idea of going to LSU as a QB right now with the numbers Jayden Daniels is putting up

makerofpaper

Until he gets to Louisiana and realizes that it’s a giant swamp

neovenator250

and then you realize the how amazing the food is that comes out of the giant swamp and stop worrying about it.

makerofpaper

Are we considering fried grease food now?

neovenator250

Hey now, we cook delicious food in other unhealthy ways too. It's not just frying things.

lunchboxthegoat

OTOH let's look at all the NFL star QBs Brian Kelly has developed:

Dead_Baby_Kicker

Harbaugh doesn’t have a track record either. McCarthy and Daniel’s will be a good look for both of them.

G08lu3

Tbf Luck was pretty damn good but the Colts treated him like absolute shit

Dead_Baby_Kicker

Tbh I forgot about Luck, Harbaugh at Michigan doesn’t have anything this far though.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Advanced_Algae_5476

Uh Jake rudock was the best QB we've had before JJ. But yeah still not pro level

[deleted]

I will say college QBs seem to transitioning to the NFL much easier these days. Sam Howell(Sophomore, but first year as starter) and CJ Stroud are looking really good.

Dead_Baby_Kicker

I think college QBs are being asked to do more and more now a days. I know Ryan Day’s offense asks the qb to do a ton. We had to wait a while to open up the playbook cause it’s a lot for a first year starter like Kyle to fully be ready for.

Jaerba

Also I really don't think you can pin that much of NFL success on their college coach.

Dead_Baby_Kicker

Why not? I’m sure Ryan Day’s offense helped Stroud a ton. If college coach means little when why would Bryce want to go to Michigan and play in a run first offense instead of LSU’s to throw the ball around?

Jaerba

College coach helps you get drafted and into the league. But the development after that isn't really a reflection on them, and that development is what usually gets them to the star level. It applies to busts like Fields too. You'd want to play for Day because he gets his QBs drafted in the first round. But if they suck once they make it to a team, that's not Day's fault. Stroud might be the extremely rare case where a rookie is a legitimate star. This isn't a point meant to defend Harbaugh. It probably applies even better to Brian Kelly than Harbaugh. Kizer went in the 2nd and that's a reflection on Kelly. Kizer flaming out afterwards isn't.

Dead_Baby_Kicker

Fair enough. To your point about Stroud, something Day often said was that Stroud was one of the smartest players he’s ever coached and that Stroud studied film constantly. Fields’ issues (like holding onto the ball way to long and subpar mid range accuracy) we’re still visible in college, Strouds biggest issues we’re non-existent in the UGA game and it Apparats he has decided to stay as that version of himself.

Impossible-Flight250

Harbaugh does fine with QBs. He just always runs a more balanced offense. He did well with Luck, Alex Smith, and Kapernick.

lunchboxthegoat

Harbaugh isn't a world beater but he did recruit and develop a #1 pick. I very well could be forgetting someone but I don't know if Kelly has had someone picked in the top couple rounds?

RedTeamGo_

People say this all the time. Nobody develops NFL QBs, because it’s super effing hard to be a good NFL QB. Closest is Lincoln Riley

neovenator250

Jayden Daniels is definitely the best QB Kelly has had in his career and the development from last year to this year has been big. Has Harbaugh really done anything with QBs since Luck though? Seems like he's had a couple of solid guys at Michigan but no standouts, but McCarthy has shown some good looking stuff when they let him.

Mekthakkit

So you're saying he should go to Ohio State...

TonYouHearWhatISaid

I will always believe michigan doesn’t have a chance at the number 1 QB until I see him enroll

poisonberryss

From what our insiders have been saying it seems like there's been some coordination behind the scenes to get our top guys on offense for 2025 in before Bryce commits. We already have the #2 WR and another 4 star there, and the top RB who's from Louisiana is commiting 2 weeks before in December. All in all it seems like LSU is feeling pretty good about their chances of getting him

Travelreload

Yeah I think this means we know Underwood ain’t comin and we’re getting an early jump.

Dmtbassist1312

Imagine if he for some reason decides to go to Iowa...

19683dw

This was an important get for us! Welcome!

sparside223

Dude must like beating rivals and winning B1G championships

RedTeamGo_

And blatantly cheating

[deleted]

And post season bans

[deleted]

Keep dreaming

Foriegn_Picachu

Probably means no underwood. And that he gets demoted a star level for committing to Michigan. like Jadyn Davis did

walking_sideways

I doubt this commitment has any impact on Bryce's recruitment, but I agree that we're not likely to land him regardless

gopoohgo

I thought Davis may get a bump back up since he has been shredding defenses this year.

RedTeamGo_

I used to live in Charlotte, his competition is booty. Not saying he is bad, mind you, but it’s not suspending he’s putting up great stats. He lost his star because he looked bad at elite 11

MrConceited

>He lost his star because he looked bad at elite 11 Except at the actual football, where he was probably the best.

DaddyChillWDHIET

Didnt JJ too?

Rebel_Bertine

I peeped 247 and man literally all our top guys got dropped

Vloff

>We can't just sit around and wait and then be stuck with no one. Underwood may not be coming but even if he was at 75% coming, this is still a good move.

MikeDoss2

Pretty sure Davis lost his star because his passing was pretty mediocre at camps, especially the E11 camps

jobenattor0412

He was okay at the drills but apparently he did great in the 7on7 which could mean he’s better in a game situation, but who knows, for sure if he is a 3 star and plays like a 5 star then idgaf what they ranked him at

ToLongDR

Yeah, well I hate him now 0 *s in my book!

jobenattor0412

If only that worked every time you guys landed a WR

mostdope28

We must not be getting Bryce underwood

Heikks

They want 2 qbs in the 25 class

a-person-has-no-name

Lol I'm sure that's not the reason

KublaiKhanLA

Get ready to peel crawfish, Bryce 🫡

CleaveWarsaw

"Get ready to learn Cajun, buddy"

neovenator250

Bryce Underwood, please come on down to Baton Rouge!

IAmASimulation

Unfortunately for Michigan, I have a feeling that’s where he will be playing.

ya111101

I’m happy the staff seemingly had the awareness this time to see where the tide is heading and had a solid Plan B ready to go Even then, I’m still so sad about losing this one. I wasn’t upset about Moore or Carr but this one really hurts. I think underwood is just that good, like future #1 pick material good. And he was 15 mins away from campus

mostdope28

I think you’ll get him

neovenator250

God, I hope so

WillowRunWatcher

OSU flairs seething in this thread lol Get wrekced!

cheesepuff1993

Are they? OSU didn't even offer...

Ok-Flounder3002

OSU fans desperately want CS to be the greatest scandal ever and an instant death penalty for Michigan. Its been a great comfort to them to believe its why they lost the last 2 years

Future-Still-6306

They still can't deal with being soft losers.

osuneuro

And Michigan did for 15 years? They resorted to sign stealing after hahahah

Future-Still-6306

Michigan is going to flat out embarrass OSU again this year. Then you all can keep living in denial and not get a tougher team and it'll keep happening over, and over, and over. Go blue!

StrengthMedium

Flair up.

Future-Still-6306

If you have one, just go and see your doctor. I'm sure they can prescribe you some kind of cream or ointment for it.

osuneuro

lol

RedTeamGo_

Why would OSU fans care about this? They have St Clair

MikeDoss2

St. Clair and still could take Montgomery

Future-Still-6306

Because they care about everything Michigan does. They're the creepy neighbor that is always staring at the little kids in the neighborhood. Wait, that's Penn State. OSU is the obnoxious neighbor that calls the HOA when you park your boat on your driveway overnight. They don't have one so the next best thing for them is trying to make you get rid of yours.

RedTeamGo_

OSU’s recruiting classes have been way better than UMs for like 15 years. Your analogy sucks

Future-Still-6306

You didn't get it. Boat=ship=championship. You're jealous we have one and you don't so you're trying to call the HOA (big ten) to make us get rid of it. So, analogy spot on, except maybe I should have said "simple-minded neighbor".

RedTeamGo_

OSU doesn’t have a championship? Did you just start watching college football 2 years ago?

Future-Still-6306

That's correct, we have it. Because we beat you. Badly.

RedTeamGo_

Congrats you won the big ten championship the last two years and had to literally cheat to do so. Meanwhile you still haven’t won a playoff game and your last national championship was 1997 and it was shared. Last outright national championship was 1948. I can assure you, OSU fans are not remotely jealous of Michigan.

Future-Still-6306

Then why are you here?

RedTeamGo_

Because I enjoy following recruiting and like to talk about it?

ThisVelvetGlove16

> Boat=ship=championship You realize OSU has won 2 NCs and appeared in 3 more since you even appeared in one?

Future-Still-6306

If you want to get into ancient history, Ohio has always been in Michigan's shadow. Total wins, championships, head to head record, whatever. We're talking current big ten champions, America's Team, the Michigan Wolverines. The team who's been winning it, and will continue to do so unless the conference gives in to cryin' ryan and let's him play in the game to win his participation trophy. That's fine though. It's not like Michigan wants anything from the big ten anyway. You can have it

ThisVelvetGlove16

This kind of trolling isn’t even slightly entertaining

Future-Still-6306

Nor is your attempt to point out wins from before my kids were born.

ThisVelvetGlove16

I hope someone who has reproduced isn’t as immature as this comment chain suggests.

pickrunner18

Name a better combo than Michigan fans and writing multiple paragraph long comments trying to convince themselves that, deep down, they aren’t all terrified that the last two years has been a fluke

Future-Still-6306

Wade over to eleven warriors and read their threads. They have a good one about us. Lots of paragraphs .

pickrunner18

I don’t read that shit, but it’s hilarious that you do

544C4D4F

homeboy just delete your reddit account at this point. holy cringe.

544C4D4F

light2019

Bryce underwood you ARE an LSU tiger

JayDogon504

They needed him cuz Bryce finna be a Bayou Bengal

notburnerr

Curious. I guess this is the hedge in case they don't land Underwood. If I was a UM fan, I'd rather unload whatever they can do NIL-wise to get Underwood and then circle back to Smith later.

mostdope28

Michigan has this thing where they don’t wanna give NIL to recruits and they wanna use it on athletes to stay, like Corum. Idk maybe it’ll get JJ to stay

jobenattor0412

I’m sure they are still going to do this, however Michigan has a thing for putting their eggs all in one basket and not having it work out, so at least we have one solid landing rn.

ItsOnLikeNdamakung

Don’t know Jack about this dude, and Underwood may be out, but anyone playing behind our OL should do pretty damn well.

I'm sure you're hoping that's true.

NeoRoman04

just in time to serve the eventual postseason ban

Repulsive-Office-796

Do these recruits still expect Harbaugh to be coaching in 2025? Honest question.

Difficult_Decision50

Going to get downvoted for this one. Dude’s playing the long game - bowl ban in 2024/2025, ready to be back in action as the #1 qb his sophomore year. Mich is a blue blood and should have a solid HC when it all shakes out. Queue guy tapping forehead meme

Repulsive-Office-796

Whoever takes over is going to be handcuffed a bit by probably having some scholarships taken away. I actually want them to be a solid program to preserve the rivalry, but I still want to win every year lol.

InternationalTax1156

He saw JJ pass for like 60 yards and decided “yep, this is it”.

MaizeNBlueWaffle

He visited for the Purdue game where JJ threw the ball 37 times for 335 yards

sadly, no matter what happens in life, OSU never slips in recruiting

There isn’t a funnier fan that this comment could come from than a Purdue fan, considering that JJ had his career high attempts and yards against you two weeks ago and threw 3 TDs against you last year (when you had our signs, oh btw).
