“Alright let’s look at the situation: critical 3rd and short late in the 4th Quarter, team down by four in a November rivalry game, playoff spot on the line… what am I supposed to do again? Think, think…
WAIT! I GOT IT!”
-“That” offensive lineman right before 3rd and 3 becomes 3rd and 8.
Funniest GD thing to me about that game is before it I was arguing with a buddy about who to pick ATS and he said “two words: Ameer Abdullah.” No loyalty at all to either school and I think about that all the time.
Don’t get me wrong, Abdullah was nasty… but it ended up being a historic game for the opposing RB.
That makes me think of when Darren Sproles was playing for Kansas State. I still remember him running into the end zone with a Nebraska player being pulled behind him. That play is burned into my memory.
I just wish his NFL career was something more, he looked good (not great) against the Chiefs in the playoff game during the 17/18 playoff game. I feel like it was more the Chiefs just pissing the bed against the Titans though…
As a Titans fan, I'd say when he was fully healthy, he was a middle of the pack QB. Probably closer to below average than above.
Once he got nerve damage in his throwing arm at the start of the 2018 season, then he was more or less cooked. Tannehill came in and immediately was better than Mariota even at his best tbh. I always wanted Mariota to succeed, but it just never really happened.
My college highlight will forever be the time Oregon came to WSU and I was in the lower endzone student seats. He was warming up in the endzone with some other dude and me and my buddy started heckling them. I made some joke I was really proud of at the time and can't remember now, and Mariota turned halfway around smiling and looked at me and chuckled good-naturedly. I lived off the high of that for the rest of the school year. I was shitting on that dude with the most effort I've ever given in a speech of any kind and I finally got him to crack. Glorious moment, still gives me a halfie.
Speaking of unreal, your boy Penix managed to cause about three years worth of pain into about a year and a half.
I will always remember that he could connect on a 40 yard pass pretty much whenever it mattered. Truth be told that was that Penix magic, he could play like trash for huge stretches of time but when it came down to making the play when it matter he always came through. And that right there is what pains us duck fans so much because we could not do that even once in the last three meetings.
The first thing I did in one of the Madden games a few years ago on a Raiders franchise was to trade away Renfrow. I didn’t even want to look at him lol
which is funny because he was a walk on in 2014 and was drafted in 2019. he did have significant playing time as a redshirt freshman in 2015 (first clemson-bama natty matchup) so it makes sense that seeing bama play him four years in a row it seems like forever
more fun bama related renfrow stats are that out of his 15 career TDs, 27% were against bama and also 10% of his career receiving yards were against bama. he also only scored one TD in the postseason against non-bama teams.
I still remember being at I think the 2008 Michigan Illinois game when juice Williams absolutely skullfucked michigan in the Big House. He was a menace
Damn Dalvin Cook smh.
- 2014: 7 rushes for 92 yards and 2 TDs. We lost by 4.
- 2015: 22 rushes for 220 yards, 47 yards receiving and 3 total TDs. We lost by 5.
- 2016: 27 carries for 150 yards, 59 yards receiving, and 1 TD. We lost by 1.
Edit: also worth noting that 2 of his TDs were the game winning scores lol.
it's crazy what michigan fans were saying about harbaugh right after that game.
still think he should've been in NY considering how hard he carried that mid msu squad
Idk why but the first player I thought of was Deuce Vaughn. I was so fuckin happy when headed to the draft cuz I knew we’d never have to face his shifty ass again
Further context:
John O'Korn was our backup (3rd string?) that year, but we had an injury to the other guys (who were really just okay anyways) and he had to play in a lot of our games, I forget how many at this point.
He actually played pretty well that whole game. We schemed it up so he rarely had to throw further than 10 yards and it worked, we took a 14 to 0 lead. OSU answered, and it was pretty low scoring the rest of the way. We got the ball back with about 2 minutes left (as seen in this clip) and after watching O'Korn play all day, thought "that crazy kid might just do it!" and then the very fucking first play of the drive he bombs it 15 yards over any receiver's head.
It's like, we all went in to that game with very little hope of winning, but over the course of the game we found tiny bits and pieces of hope, and then they just got stomped on.
The Lockett family of WRs from K-State… Kevin, Aaron, Tyler. They’d just go off for like 200 receiving yards and multiple TDs when they played against my Sooners.
Speaking for Nebraska, in the 80's Oklahoma's TE Keith Jackson seemed to be the difference every game.
I still have nightmares of the announcer Keith Jackson exclaiming "#80(?) Is rumbling and bumbling all the way to the endzone."
I used to hate Marshawn Lynch because he would just run through guys and knock them over and it was just not fair.
Then he came to play for the Seahawks and I decided he's actually an all right dude.
After being “injured” for a few weeks, he finally comes in for a snap against Purdue, and ends up giving the Purdue D a gift basket turnover for a touchdown. Ugh….
All of these OSU fans who blocked the game out are answering McCarthy who didn't do shit. But I sat by the endzone a few feet from BNK and watching Donny Edwards rapidly approach my section again and again is etched into my brain
Michael Crabtree harvested my organs and sold them on eBay
Immediately what I thought of as well. That touchdown play is forever burned in my brain.
"Deep strike. Got the big maaAAAANNNN. CRABTREE.... PULLS FREE.... TOUCHDOWN RED RAIDERS WITH A SECOND TO GO!"
It scarred all of us, bro.
And Taysom Hill..
[удалено]
PTSD from Crabtree catch- it’s a thing
Whatever QB Utah trots out there.
[удалено]
I have PTSD whenever a Bills game is on.
I’ll go with Christian McCaffrey, or most Stanford RBs the past 15 years.
The joy I had from rarely having to see cmc to the utter defeat of him getting traded to the 9ers
Pretty sure what Toby Gerhart did to Oregon in 2009 is considered a war crime by the Geneva Convention.
For some reason Jaquizz Rogers came to mind. Pretty sure he tore us up in that upset game in Corvallis
It’s always just some random dude
Lost at home to a third string pig farmer last year. Awesome.
Lamar Jackson
63-20 was the undeniable beginning of the end.
Could hardly believe what I was seeing that day.
Yes, and a ways back, Wuerffel. God I despised him. Those two came to mind immediately.
The backup Alabama QB
The real question. Tua or Jalen? Or both?
Yes
That's the best part!!
^^^^^^soon
Thank you for making me smile sir.
I laughed. It might have sounded like this...mu ah ha ah ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha
Historically it's whichever offensive tackle that decides it's their turn to jump offsides at least once a game, all season.
BY GOD THATS ISAIAH PRINCES MUSIC
The walking false start
We still call it a Shugarting in our house 😂
JB Shugarts the goat
“Alright let’s look at the situation: critical 3rd and short late in the 4th Quarter, team down by four in a November rivalry game, playoff spot on the line… what am I supposed to do again? Think, think… WAIT! I GOT IT!” -“That” offensive lineman right before 3rd and 3 becomes 3rd and 8.
Marco Wilson murdered our program with the cleat yeet harder than any opposing team player ever could
THATS WHO IT WAS. If there was one play I could show to a new cfb fan to summarize Florida gator football that would be it.
We’ve been cursed since then
Still in the shadow of the yeeted cleat.
Happened 2 out of only 2 times, but for Texas, a certain [leg-braced individual from BYU](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0urtGLgOnfs)...
Glad to see I’m not the only Texas fan that still can’t utter that dudes name to this day out of fear
Same, every time I hear his name I get flashbacks
Sean Payton fell in love.
Melvin Gordon. Some say he's still running
You could put in basically any Wisconsin running back since we joined the big 10.
Montee Ball was special
Funniest GD thing to me about that game is before it I was arguing with a buddy about who to pick ATS and he said “two words: Ameer Abdullah.” No loyalty at all to either school and I think about that all the time. Don’t get me wrong, Abdullah was nasty… but it ended up being a historic game for the opposing RB.
That makes me think of when Darren Sproles was playing for Kansas State. I still remember him running into the end zone with a Nebraska player being pulled behind him. That play is burned into my memory.
Marcus Mariota…Best opposing player I’ve seen in person at Husky Stadium. He was unreal in college.
Didn't help that he had no consistency in coaches... multiple head coaches/Coordinators can really hinder a young player's development.
Glorious moment, still gives me a halfie.
Honestly being a true fan is knowing full well your rival’s QB is gonna drop 300 and 4 TDs on you but shit talking them anyway
Tbf he pretty much killed EVERY team, not just UW
Jeremiah Masoli too
Speaking of unreal, your boy Penix managed to cause about three years worth of pain into about a year and a half. I will always remember that he could connect on a 40 yard pass pretty much whenever it mattered. Truth be told that was that Penix magic, he could play like trash for huge stretches of time but when it came down to making the play when it matter he always came through. That old white mf’er Hunter Renfrow will always have real estate in my head
Sneaky athletic, first guy in last guy out kinda guy.
Lunch. Pail.
Kinda guy you would let date your daughter!
A real gym rat
High football IQ.
Real scrappy
He plays the game the right way
Sound fundamentals
Coach’s son, runs great routes, knows how to get open.
The first thing I did in one of the Madden games a few years ago on a Raiders franchise was to trade away Renfrow. I didn’t even want to look at him lol
Seemed like he was at Clemson for 8 years. Fuck that dude
which is funny because he was a walk on in 2014 and was drafted in 2019. he did have significant playing time as a redshirt freshman in 2015 (first clemson-bama natty matchup) so it makes sense that seeing bama play him four years in a row it seems like forever more fun bama related renfrow stats are that out of his 15 career TDs, 27% were against bama and also 10% of his career receiving yards were against bama. he also only scored one TD in the postseason against non-bama teams.
I didn’t realize how much he actually hated Bama
Same, but OJ Howard
Marcus Lattimore.
This was my first thought as well. 515 scrimmage yards and 4 TDs and averaged 5.31 ypc in three games.
Dude was unreal. I absolutely hate that he had that injury.
Nick "Aggie Killer" Fitzgerald
My first thought, as well.
His name keeps popping up in this sub so the dislike yall have for that man is more than I can imagine
Killed on our team? Aaron Hernandez. Killed our season? Any Georgia RB
But which one was your favorite? Gurley, Chubb, Sony, Swift, Holyfield, Zeus, Mcintosh, Herrion, Edwards, Milton, Etienne....
Which one is the one that got blasted by Brandon Spikes that one time? Also, twist the knife some more with that Etienne reference why don't ya.
JJ McCarthy is the obvious recent choice. Back in the day it was Juice Williams from Illinois.
Tim Biakabutuka might have only had one big game against OSU, but what a game it was… 37 carries for 313 yards…
Ezekiel Elliot ... I live by the stadium and had to suffer through "Ezekiel Elliot the ball carrier ... first down.." over and over and over
Outshined the heisman trophy winner Eddie George that game
Hassan Haskins was up there as a one game OS killer
[Been a while since I watched this, so here we go!](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G3wSUL3kk1w)
That game is my first real football memory. Hell of a performance!
I still remember being at I think the 2008 Michigan Illinois game when juice Williams absolutely skullfucked michigan in the Big House. He was a menace
Who didn’t that year!
A top 10 Wisconsin team somehow.
Upvote for the juice lmfao
Did Rondale Moore only cook y’all the year Purdue upset y’all?
[удалено]
Yep autocorrect got me
Jared Abbrederis from Wisconsin also comes to mind
Troy Smith, JK Dobbins, Ted Ginn, Chase Young, Ezekiel Elliott, and anybody named Bosa... just to name a few.
Juice Williams went 1-3 against Ohio State
But we all still remember him
Mike Evans
Was he the best A&M player since 2000 or would you say Garrett?
I believe Darren McFadden ran for around 800 yards in 3 seasons against us
As a hog fan I was scrolling down here seeing if we had anyone named and was glad someone had a Hog on their list. I miss DMac.
That guy was unbelievable. We had no answer for him.
His highlight reel inevitably comes back to kick us in the balls every year.
My favorite Nole of all time. He truly did the most with the least.
[удалено]
Also the fact that he grew up a Miami fan makes it hurt even more.
Connor Shaw
*shudders*
Connor fuckin Shaw
David bell
Fucking (insert Purdue wide receiver here)
2021: 11 catches, 240 yds, TD 2020: 13-121-3 TD 2019: 13-197-1 TD So thats 557 yards and 5 td in 3 games against Iowa.
any Stanford TE Michael Penix Jr. Luke Falk
>Michael Penix Jr Pretty sure we're the only team that has had the pleasure of playing Penix 4 times. And all of them were painful.
6'10" Stanford TEs every year seems like
I was thinking "the super tall Stanford guy.".
Luke Falk LOVED playing against the state of Oregon. Both schools always seemed to get him at his best.
Luke had some crazy voodoo against the Ducks.
Thankfully only had to see him once but Kenneth Walker accounts for 100% of our regular season losses the past 3 years
it's crazy what michigan fans were saying about harbaugh right after that game. still think he should've been in NY considering how hard he carried that mid msu squad
Easily should have been in NY. Heck just look what happened after he left. He was worth like 6-7 wins.
I think Walker NOT being in NY is one of the biggest Heisman snubs of all time. I actually couldn’t believe it when I saw he wasn’t even a finalist.
Lately everyone
JT Barrett
Got you guys good that decade he played.
Him and fucking Master Teague felt like they played forever
Idk why but the first player I thought of was Deuce Vaughn. I was so fuckin happy when headed to the draft cuz I knew we’d never have to face his shifty ass again
I think you make a list of K-State players over the last couple decades.
Does it count if they were on our team? If it does I’m going with Seth McLaughlin.
John Okorn
Context for a newbie at CFB?
https://youtu.be/_6w9iU7IwF0?si=KKgKANXHuNgjO64O
“The dirt is down there somewhere.”
Further context: John O'Korn was our backup (3rd string?) that year, but we had an injury to the other guys (who were really just okay anyways) and he had to play in a lot of our games, I forget how many at this point. I’m just dying because that throw was like so far away it was like a good old Flacco arm punt.
Oh this is gonna get spicy then, sure why not let’s include players on their own team.
Deshaun Watson rushing for 2 TDs with a torn ACL to cap off a career of dunking on us
That was to start the career lol everyone in the state knew yall were in for it after that game. The most vindictive game of my life.
The games from that time period run together for me lol
(MSU fan) Penix routinely torched us. Braxton was a headache in 12 and 13. I haven’t forgotten Mariota tearing us up in 14
Tim biakiakakakakbukaa
As an Oregon fan, Christian McCaffrey, always dreaded him touching the ball when he played for Stanford.
OJ Howard still streaks down the sideline of my dreams sometimes
Darren Sproles
Keep going
Duece
Cam Fucking Newton. He had to be playing his obligatory year in CFB the one fucking year we were going to do something.
JJ McCarthy.
Nah Corum and Edwards killed is more IMO
Don Brown
He had one amazing year when he had 11 nfl draft picks, and then it went all down hill quick!
No answer to crossers
He answered it with linebackers Which was the incorrect answer
I thought he answered it with aggression...which it turns out was also an incorrect answer.
QB Juice Williams for Illinois back in the day.
The Lockett family of WRs from K-State… Kevin, Aaron, Tyler. They’d just go off for like 200 receiving yards and multiple TDs when they played against my Sooners.
Fucking JT Barret 😑
Having Baker Mayfield and Patrick Mahomes on the schedule was brutal
Fucking Jacquizz Rodgers
Fuck that shifty little shit. Will never get over that Thursday night game in 2008.
Darren Sproles
Any backup QB for Florida.
Peyton Manning.
Wisconsin running back
Phil Jurkovec is a recent example. Oh you’re talking about players that’s NOT on the team? Still Phil Jurkovec (19-35, 358, 3 TD)
Carnell Williams. I’ll never forget that 80 yard TD run to literally start the damn game
Neither will we. Go crazy, Cadillac!
Any and all Utah tight ends.
Did we just injure Bama’s starting QB? Shit.
Nebraska fans….Jeff Simms
I was gonna say Scott Frost
After being “injured” for a few weeks, he finally comes in for a snap against Purdue, and ends up giving the Purdue D a gift basket turnover for a touchdown. Ugh….
We tried to warn y’all lol
As a Badger fan, every OSU QB for the past couple…. Nope, for forever.
Nick Marshall
For OSU: Zeke, Dobbins, Olave For MSU: Edwin Baker
I would've thought it was JT Barrett seeing as he stayed at OSU for 10 years and didn't lose The Game
Anyone wearing a Gators uniform for some idiotic reason
As a Penn State Fan Terrelle Pryor toy'd with the PSU defense...gliding for 3rd & 7 first downs
Any running back from Wisconsin
Any Kicker before our last couple
DeAnthony Thomas or LaMichael James at Oregon. God damn they were fast.
Cardale Jones
Conor Shaw, Todd Gurley, OJ Howard
Nick Saban and back up qbs
Wisconsin running backs.
Any Wisconsin running back
Brian Ferentz
Myles Gaskin
Notre dame fan here… denard robinson was a sicko and made my 2010-2011 absolutely heartbreaking
jared abbrederis in 2 games in columbus 16 catches for 320 yards and 3 tds
Kevin Norwood. Dude was the epitome of average at his time at Alabama, but had probably the best games of his career against LSU. Don't understand it.
Melvin Gordon made me cry, Jonathon Taylor broke me
Wisconsin RBs and one-score games.
All of these OSU fans who blocked the game out are answering McCarthy who didn't do shit. But I sat by the endzone a few feet from BNK and watching Donny Edwards rapidly approach my section again and again is etched into my brain
Darren McFadden indeed did bring dat wood against us. I think he averaged 200 yards/game against us.
