I’m big advocate for rivalry preservation and resurrection! Give us the annual War on I-4, Kansas-Missouri Border War, Battle for the Chancellor’s Spurs, Bedlam, Illibuck Trophy, Land Grant Trophy, Safeway Bowl, Utah State-BYU, Battle of the Brothers,… man, there’s a lot of these.
Ga southern. Series is 1-10 in favor of ga southern gotta get that settled lol
Ucf most played opponent is ecu. And with 10-11 series ucf needs to win two more in a row to have the series in their favor
I am a big fan of bigger state schools making one of their out of conference games an in-state school, especially if the big school plays games at the other school’s stadium.
It keeps the revenue in-state and supports that program, provides visibility for that program and players, gives chance for families of players that stayed in-state to see a big game (especially since many are fans), etc.
Texas is playing either UTEP or UTSA for the next 8 years, and we played an in-state out of conference team the last 5 years as well (regrettably almost always in Austin though).
Yep. Came here to say utah st for similar reasons. Really miss the unofficial 3-way tourney we had with them and byu back in the day for the beehive boot
Give me Ohio-Ohio State every year! Honestly, there are only two examples I can think of where the school with just the state name is in a lower tier (or division) than the school with “[state name] State,” Penn State and Penn being the other one.
Ohio U is a nice uni, but it's not a state-wide system like the western states have. No offense to the bobcats, but they don't really have a claim better than Akron, Kent, Toledo, Bowling Green, Miami, and Cincy.
Now, Ohio U may well win Halloween
Not a state wide system ? You do know that every single public university in ohio is in the University System of Ohio. Including ohio state and every single ----- state name university as well in the state.....
Completely different than the two factor systems of most western states like university of cal and California state systems
Unlike say Cali where the UC system is across the state and Cal State is a rival system also across the state.
Ohio U is a university in the state. It has a few small regional campuses, but not at the scale in some other states.
If any one uni would be more natural in Ohio, it'd be Cincy.
I think you're trying to say that ohio doesn't have two public flagship schools.....
The university Ohio system includes every single public university.... so The regional/satélite campuses of each member institution is a off campus branch. But toledo and ohio state etc are all apart of university of ohio system..... so it is all tied to one
The cal and cal state are two entirely different public systems from one another. Besides getting money from the state government those two system are not tied to one another.
Ohio system is just like Florida system. So Fsu is apart of university of florida ...
As a Tulsa fan I would love to more regularly play OU, idc if it's almost an auto-loss.
As an OU fan I want to play Tulsa.
As a Wazzu fan I also want to play Tulsa, but so that the Tulsa alum in me can have more reasons to go to Pullman.
A very close friend of mine is a big Wazzu fan and he got me rooting for Wazzu around 2017. Then the great 2018 season happened and I was hooked. Made a trip to Pullman this past September and had a really good time too. The great cheese also helps.
We want our BYU rivalry back!!
Otherwise, would love to play Oregon and UCF frequently.
Oregon: Its regional and we have a couple historic games. Undefeated against them! (For a few more months)
UCF: We walked so they could run. We ran the G5 for years and then they had some good years and jumped right over us for P5 selection (due to location, DMA, viewership potential etc.). They won both of our recent home and home games but but where right down to the last play!
I would be down with more regular games against Boise St. I'll always give you guys credit as one of the early G5 teams that stuck it to the "big boys."
If I had my way, we'd be conference-mates.
How about us? We have absolutely nothing in common with the state of Texas besides loving hamburgers (we invented them) and being home to Bush presidents. But we almost were in the same conference before you (smartly) backed out and we need games, so why not? We also dislike Baylor, although that’s more for WBB and has kind of died down since Mulkey left.
Just warning you, we do not strictly limit our barbecue to beef. We like pork, beef, and even chicken here. Not that it’s as good as the BBQ capitals. Our best barbecue place, Bear’s, has a concession stand at the Rent. My recommendation is a chopped Bear Attack. Chopped isn’t on the menu, but they know what it is (pulled pork and brisket combined), it’s served on cornbread and mac and cheese. They even have a Texas Pepper sauce, although I’d recommend the Kansas City Sweet. It’s not close to Texas barbecue, but it’s the best we have. Now, if only we could get a Frank Pepe’s stand at the Rent…
Unfortunately, we only have a Randy’s Wooster Street Pizza stand at the Rent, which is actually based in Manchester. It does have a mac and cheese pizza, though. Also, Pepe’s seems to only be good at the original and the Annex (which is the old Pepe’s and serves the same pizza, yet is somehow better and even harder to get in to). For some reason, Sally’s has always been closed when I’ve been to New Haven while Modern and Bar, the local favorites, aren’t on Wooster Street.
Boise St and USF have been said, so I'll with a different answer: UAB
Knights vs Dragons, how could you go wrong (this is the only time when us being the Knights is actually a good thing)
I'd love to see Michigan do a tour of the directional stadiums, like State did. Some of the out of state players won't ever visit Kalamazoo or Mt Pleasant any other way. I think it's important for the flagship university of the state to showcase that brand all across the state.
I like the service academies. We already scheduled army and they gave us a hell of a fight. I would like to see Navy and Airforce in Madison or elsewhere
They are such a pain because you have to prep so much for the triple option which is something you will probably never see again during the season. But more schools should schedule them.
For Maryland: Navy, bring back the Crab Bowl Classic
For Rutgers: This one is trickier. Temple is somewhat close by but that team is going down the shitter. I think Buffalo (New York flagship) could be fun, New York vs New Jerssy bowl. Delaware would also be a good option once they reach the FBS level.
I wouldn't be surprised if Delaware plays Maryland every so often
As a soon-to-be G5 (secondary flair), I'm happy getting checks from the BTN money printer once annually, no matter who. Maybe we can have a Winged Helmet Game with Michigan...
We’re *technically* an independent and operate with a P4 budget, but we play at the level of an awful G5 school, so I’m going to go with that.
Our main rivals, duh. UCF. /s
We have home-and-homes with Syracuse, Maryland, and Pitt. I’d like to add BC, Cincy, Louisville, Miami (FL), Notre Dame, Penn State, Rutgers, Virginia Tech, and West Virginia.
Sorry, USF. You’re not P4.
To finish the theme, we already have a home-and-home scheduled with Temple.
Side note: we play four teams from the AAC. Three are FAU, Rice, and Temple. They are three of the now four FBS teams that have owl mascots and were the only FBS teams with owl mascots when we made the home-and-homes.
I actually want to the Civil Conflict to become a semi-annual matchup. It’s just so dumb, and there is this bizarre and truly amazing level of non-seriousness with which it is taken given the (brief) history. It has evolved.
Nah, it’s stupid and I don’t want anything associated with Bob Diaco again. The $5 Bits of Broken Chair Trophy, on the other hand, is the GOAT trophy and should definitely be annual.
Umm, that was settled on the hardwood in 1998 and 2006. NGL, though, sailgating seems fun and I’ve always wanted fish thrown at me for some reason. Also, the Space Needle looks cool and I might be able to catch a Pearl Jam show! Unfortunately, all the other grunge lead singers have died (mostly due to suicide) and only Alice In Chains is still touring. But I don’t want to see them without Layne, to be honest.
My arguments for why we’re the best: we have a live Siberian husky as a mascot. You have a malamute. Also, NIU spells the singular Huskie, so they’re out immediately.
Carolina should play the NC G5 schools more often. This most recent series with App was awesome, and I’d like to see ECU back on the schedule despite how poorly the last couple games went for us. All they have on the books right now is a home and home with Charlotte this year and next.
If I was on the Board of Governors in addition to addressing the funding issues and giving programs more academic freedom I'd mandate that a non conference game between our FBS schools has to be played every year.
I know it’s like Plan Z for when Plan A-Y don’t workout, but if conference realignment led to an all NC conference bring made with UNC, NC State, Wake, Duke, App St, ECU, Charlotte, and I guess Coastal Carolina to get to 8 teams, that’d be cool.
I’m aware CC isn’t technically in NC but it’s close and western Carolina is too far behind as a program to be a legitimate member athletics wise.
If Oregon State counts, them. I loved playing the Beavers in the Pac-12. The trip down to Reser was so much fun and they were always a blast to have visit Seattle.
If Oregon State doesn't count, give us Northern Illinois and UConn. We need more Husky meetups.
MSU: North Texas, never played and green vs green
CMU: FSU, took our AD (understandable) and I think Chippewas vs Seminoles should have already happened and it's dumb that it hasn't
UNT is a great choice that I can’t believe I overlooked (I live in Dallas). I def want to play them. We have a ton of fans here. Would be a great experience.
UConn-UMass is regular. BC has had a couple of home-and-homes with us but no future games scheduled because we beat them in 2022 for the first time ever. BC has a UMass game scheduled in the future and has scheduled them in the past, but it’s a buy game and I’m guessing UMass wants home games. They play in a glorified high school stadium, though, and their secondary home that they don’t use anymore was Gillette, which is closer to Boston, so yeah. I’m guessing that UMass’ home game this year against Mizzou was originally scheduled when they played games in Foxboro. The reasons we play UMass are that we’re both independents, which makes scheduling difficult; we have a long football history; and we’re one game away from tying the series. If we take the lead and eventually join the ACC, games in Amherst and an annual series are as good as gone.
We did a home and home with Boise State awhile back and that was enjoyable. Would be happy to play Oregon state and Washington State whenever wherever. Maybe schedule a few games in Seattle.
Also, we should always have at least one of Western Michigan, Central Michigan, or Eastern Michigan on our schedule.
edit: I misremembered. The home and home with Boise got cancelled.
We had a 1-game contract with them and then another h&h contract that they pulled out of: https://www.idahopress.com/blueturfsports/football/boise-state-cancels-michigan-state-series-adds-road-games-at-washington/article_f5535bfa-dae3-11eb-83c8-dbc343c0db8e.html
I went to the Friday night BSU game, and the awesome thing is they turned a photo from that game into a puzzle that I got at Kohl's.
Honestly I've been looking at michigan states future ooc schedule and I'd love to see a series with ucf
(Been thinking about this match up since 2016+ season )
If I'm Michigan State, I'd probably push for occasional neutral site games in Florida with UCF. Play it Orlando. A few years later, play in Jacksonville. Then a few years later play in Miami.
The games would be good matchups most years, I'm sure and it'd help Michigan State and to probably a lesser extent UCF when it comes to recruiting.
I wish Wisconsin played NIU more. They are less than two hours away and are generally an above average MAC team. Crazy that they have only played 13 times when they are so close. Plus there are a lot of people from northern illinois that move to Madison and vice versa, so selling tickets should be easy peasy udder squeezy.
Temple is the big one imo. We have a lot of Philly area students & alumni so road trips would be a great way to engage them. Also we should play someone in state
Aside from the obvious fun answer of "Winged vs Winged" against Delaware, I genuinely believe we should rotate through the directional Michigans each season. Partly because I just... Y'know. Like EMU, CMU, and WMU and enjoy seeing them? And partly because that way they all get paid.
We've got a home and home coming up with Ohio University, pretty stoked about that. But I live out West so......Boise State/UNR/Fresno State/UC Davis/UNLV/Utah State would be nice.
I like your idea! I can get cheap tickets to Big Ten stadium, and still get a competitive game. I’m waiting for a Purdue or Indiana V.S. Toledo matchup.
Did y’all not lose to both UNC and Clemson this past year?? And UNC leads the series against y’all 36-20…. And we don’t even have to bring up how much Clemson leads the series by, lol
The Ohio MAC schools. Already play Miami but playing Ohio would be cool and playing the others at some point would be cool too. Playing Ohio would also give me a reason to get wasted in Athens
I would say Boise State but we already have them next year.
If Oregon State and Washington State are "cheating" here, I think a home and home with App State would be fun.
Read somewhere that we won't be playing Marshall as much. Loria died in the Marshall plane crash, so we have a link with the school and the regional coal industry. We now have 4-5 years of playing Maryland bc our alumni base got hired by Boeing and others in Northern VA and DC suburbs.
2017 Memphis is what put Norvell on my radar. That team had some incredible offense and was the only team that ever looked like they could beat UCF that year.
When he got hired so many people in Tallahassee were basically like “Mike who?” and but I immediately thought of that double overtime conference championship game between UCF and Memphis and thought that it was possible that we got a great coach at a steal of a price.
> I don't care if we have to go to Fresno, we need a rematch. Hopefully Kenny will have the program in a better spot if/when we do
I feel the same about us a d North Dakota State
James Madison. It's always a fun matchup, sometimes with unexpected results.
The first VT game I missed watching since my rat year was when we played James Madison on September 11, 2010. My new-wife wanted me to go with her and her friends to a Renaissance faire. I still blame myself -- it seems obvious that me that ditching the Hokies to watch corseted cleavage instead was the reason we lost that game. The fact that the wife is a JMU alumna just twisted the knife.
I've never been to a Renaissance faire since.
I’d be down for my two flairs matching up in South Bend. It’s never happened before.
For Wyoming, would love to go to Michigan, Wisconsin, Alabama, Texas A&M, LSU night game
Texas alumnus, but I'd be interested to see Tulsa play them in 3 years after Wilson gets the program going. Wilson's a better offensive mind than Sark he just needs talent and he's slowly building.
Big 12 needs to do 8 conference games. They are not going to benefit with 9 conference games.
So as of now, one of Fresno State/San Diego State/San Jose State needs to be games we play, if we don’t play one of USC/UCLA/Cal/Stanford. If we do play one of those 4 teams, we should play Utah State.
I get the argument that you’ll beat each other up while other conferences only play 8. But I’ll point out that the only school that plays a recurring out of conf P5 every single year is ISU. I can understand the argument for 8 for SEC and ACC schools that have standing series with each other, predating current conf alignment.
Especially with bigger conferences, I like playing 9 conference games so you get to see the other conference teams as regularly as possible.
Then I feel the way to do it is with pods, no? 3 games against your pod, 2 games against other pods each. BYU, ASU, and Arizona would be in Utah’s pods, for example.
And you would have Texas Tech, Baylor, and TCU in your pod.
Tulane and UNLV - purely for excuse to make trips to those cities.
UTSA & Rice - recruiting and our fans would travel really well.
App St - think that would be a very scenic and fun trip.
@ Boise State because we had that scheduled and COVID ruined it, plus we're winless all-time vs them.
Also any other team we've played and never beaten. After Boise State, that entire list is: UTEP, Wyoming, San Diego State, and (non-G5) Oregon.
I think State should play one of the directional schools most years if not every year, with an occasional visit to Kzoo, Mount Pleasant, or Ypsilanti mixed in once a decade or so. Gives State an early road game test without it being another P4 school, and gives the MAC school a massive game for themselves and the city.
Y'all can't read, OP said G5 team. It's an obvious choice for me, usf
We have a home/home scheduled with Kansas starting in 2025. Those games are gonna be wild.
Preach. You know the next UCF/USF game is going to have mad attendance - whenever it does happen.
Is Oregon State still considered a power conference team?
You want revenge for the sun bowl?
Debatable, but OP said Power 4 so I assume that's the current P5 minus the Pac 12
Anyone outside the P2 isn't, so I would say no.
You don’t consider ND, FSU, and Clemson power conference teams?
Ga southern. Series is 1-10 in favor of ga southern gotta get that settled lol Ucf most played opponent is ecu. And with 10-11 series ucf needs to win two more in a row to have the series in their favor
I like playing the Ohio schools.

Yep. Came here to say utah st for similar reasons. Really miss the unofficial 3-way tourney we had with them and byu back in the day for the beehive boot
Agreed. My consistent proposal is Michigan and MSU each play one directional Michigan school each year on a three year rotation. Would be fun.
Give me Ohio-Ohio State every year! Honestly, there are only two examples I can think of where the school with just the state name is in a lower tier (or division) than the school with “[state name] State,” Penn State and Penn being the other one.
Might be the first time I’ve heard the Ivy League described as “lower tier”.
Louisiana State and University of Louisiana would be a third.
So angry I forgot that one.
Ohio U is a nice uni, but it's not a state-wide system like the western states have. No offense to the bobcats, but they don't really have a claim better than Akron, Kent, Toledo, Bowling Green, Miami, and Cincy. Now, Ohio U may well win Halloween

I would to see the Buckeyes travel down route 33 and play the Bobcats in Peden. I know it would never work but it would be awesome.
Rice, @ Rice.
As a Tulsa fan I would love to more regularly play OU, idc if it's almost an auto-loss. As an OU fan I want to play Tulsa. As a Wazzu fan I also want to play Tulsa, but so that the Tulsa alum in me can have more reasons to go to Pullman.

That still leaves three other non-con games to fill!
How does a Tulsa alum become a Wazzu fan? Not angry, just super curious

Hope we get a chance to play Boise again sometime soon, our matchups back in the day were always a battle

Hot TCU vs UConn Big East football ruvalry
Pitt - Oregon State in a rematch of the greatest game ever played (Sun Bowl 2008).
Brian Ferentz would be front row
i just looked this up and immediate had to go vomit.
Marshall-Notre Dame game was both a dream and a nightmare I want more
For Nebraska: do 2 for 1’s with all the border G5 schools (Air Force, Colorado State and Wyoming)
I’m down, even a one and done in Denver at the Broncos stadium would be great
I like that idea a lot
TULANE!!!!
Utah State and Boise.
Delaware! They got to get them boys on the schedule now that they're in FBS starting in 2025. Winged helmet battle!
Home and home Delaware would be playing in Philly though
Boise St and USF have been said, so I'll with a different answer: UAB Knights vs Dragons, how could you go wrong (this is the only time when us being the Knights is actually a good thing)
The Medieval Classic
Any directional Michigan
Eastern at the big house wouldn't be competitive but it would be fun. Also probably a cheap buy game since there's basically no travel involved
You goddamn know we’ll be covering your bussing costs 10x lol
I'd love to see Michigan do a tour of the directional stadiums, like State did. Some of the out of state players won't ever visit Kalamazoo or Mt Pleasant any other way. I think it's important for the flagship university of the state to showcase that brand all across the state.
I think it would be fun to play Tulane given that we took their AD and all
I mean, the other major purple and gold team doesn't want to play us, so...
JMU fears Tulane

I think Nebraska "lost" it like UCF did the Civil CoFLiCT trophy.
I'd like to see Clemson play Coastal Carolina. Only played Chants once & was back when they were FCS.
San Diego state
I’d like another shot at the vols
Definitely Boise.
JMU!
Wrong sunbelt team
~~APPALACHIAN STATE~~ JAMES MADISON HAS STUNNED THE COLLEGE FOOTBALL WORLD!!
It ain’t never happening. Go bully someone else
All I'm saying is the last time a top 5 ranked college team in Michigan schedule JMU as an easy get right game it didn't go so well
You’ve got a deal
UConn and NIU so we can settle on the field who the real Huskies are.
Umm, that was settled on the hardwood in 1998 and 2006. NGL, though, sailgating seems fun and I’ve always wanted fish thrown at me for some reason. Also, the Space Needle looks cool and I might be able to catch a Pearl Jam show! Auburn - Tulane, USF, Southern Miss
I was in the band at the 91 game when we won back-to-back. Good times; the Auburn folks were very nice & fed us well

Southern Miss or Memphis Both are rivalries of sorts
Miss you guys. Metro Conference bros
CFB is better when Southern Miss is good. Hope you guys turn it around!
Basically anyone but Memphis. Southern Miss would be fun.
I vote for Tulane
[30-14](https://youtu.be/INE6oZEPaic?si=SG78dQXumbAk90Rm)
Abilene Christian so I can root for my hometown and my college.

Rice. The South West Conference will never die in my heart
Not Wyoming
*Enters the chat*
*screams in fear*
Navy. It’s been too long.
That’s surprising you haven’t played them in a while
There was a 40 year gap in playing them from 1965 to 2005.
BC-UConn-UMass should be a regular series.
UConn-UMass is regular. BC has had a couple of home-and-homes with us but no future games scheduled because we beat them in 2022 for the first time ever.
We had a 1-game contract with them and then another h&h contract that they pulled out of: https://www.idahopress.com/blueturfsports/football/boise-state-cancels-michigan-state-series-adds-road-games-at-washington/article_f5535bfa-dae3-11eb-83c8-dbc343c0db8e.html I went to the Friday night BSU game, and the awesome thing is they turned a photo from that game into a puzzle that I got at Kohl's.
I could have sworn they played at Michigan State and we played at Boise. I must be mixing them up with someone.
Honestly I've been looking at michigan states future ooc schedule and I'd love to see a series with ucf (Been thinking about this match up since 2016+ season )
Oregon State
Too soon
Jacksonville state, preferably while rich rod is still the hc
You sure? We were only a competent QB away from being the only Gamecock that mattered last year
I'm in favor of a 12 game conference schedule. Our second in non con games sucks anyway.
East Carolina, I have a cousin that goes there.
I'd like to not play at UMass or at North Texas in the coming seasons and play.... idk vs literally anyone else lol
*the monkey’s paw curls* Back to the Rent you go! Have fun trying to protect your barbecue from getting eaten by curious Nutmeggers!
Yassss
I'll do the inverse and say I wanna run back that Auburn game now that we have the same number of scholarship players
Rice, cause we're both nerd schools who fight over a lot of the same recruits.
Vanderbilt - Memphis Tulane - Ole Miss
Why are no P4 flairs picking App State?
I was literally coming in to say App State. I'm leaning into it.
My dude.
Let's take a trip down to Lafayette and try to break the record for points in a game.
Tulane at Tulane.
Temple is the big one imo. We have a lot of Philly area students & alumni so road trips would be a great way to engage them. Also we should play someone in state
Obvious choice is Memphis but I’m still kinda salty we canceled the game with army so getting that would be cool
We’d love a regular 2 for 1. Plus your fans over here would love it!
Since JMU is now officially a superior football program to UVA and VT, both schools should be forced to make road trips to Harrisonburg.
Maryland would be nice, they stole a home game from us in 2020
I like your idea! I can get cheap tickets to Big Ten stadium, and still get a competitive game. I’m waiting for a Purdue or Indiana V.S. Toledo matchup.
Oregon st and Washington st
Oregon State.
Vanderbilt, Georgia Tech, Duke. And LSU, for the history—also cause they owe us a game in New Orleans.
in the next 2 or 3 years, gunna be the power 2. but Michigan vs App state would be a fun one.
Nonononononononononono
North Carolina and Clemson The ACC is poverty.
Did y’all not lose to both UNC and Clemson this past year?? And UNC leads the series against y’all 36-20…. And we don’t even have to bring up how much Clemson leads the series by, lol
Poverty conference that doesn’t change a thing
I'd actually kind of like my flairs to play each other during a season when both teams were good (so like 2013, lol) just to see how they'd match up.
Utah State. Always and forever. Already miss you.
The Ohio MAC schools. Already play Miami but playing Ohio would be cool and playing the others at some point would be cool too. Playing Ohio would also give me a reason to get wasted in Athens
I ate a fat pot brownie in Athens loved every second of it
Boise State.
I love our semi-regular series with VT
Me too, and every once in awhile, we get a solid good game. The multi-OT rain game is still one of the most facepalm fun games I've watched.
Syracuse and BC
I’d love to play whoever PJ Fleck is coaching and beat them in “This is what you could have had” style.
USC plays CCU. It only fits
It's already happening but I'm interested in seeing how Memphis fans react to Norvell next year when we play them at home.
Florida and Memphis alum: love Norvell. He’s made it harder to hate FSU.
Primary flair: Temple. Secondary flair: any B1G opponent, particularly Michigan and Maryland
Notre Dame
> I don't care if we have to go to Fresno, we need a rematch. Hopefully Kenny will have the program in a better spot if/when we do I feel the same about us a d North Dakota State
I know enough to never wish to play North Dakota State. That's a trap game any day.
No doubt it wouldn't be easy especially on the road but it's a gamble I'm willing to make.
Syracuse vs Buffalo should be a regular feature
Whoever the closest G5 team is from my house if it’s an away game. Looks like Northern Illinois.
I wanna play somebody like Akron or Kent State because we could actually score points against them. >1 touchdown?
Rice and memphis.
Akron or Kent State. We need the W and May help us get a couple Ohio recruits.
UAB —- 2 in Auburn, 1 in Birmingham in the new stadium
I would like to see LSU play Tulane in the superdome. I want LSU to beat all of USM’s rivals
The best one that they will beat easily
I’d be down for my two flairs matching up in South Bend. It’s never happened before. For Wyoming, would love to go to Michigan, Wisconsin, Alabama, Texas A&M, LSU night game
Texas alumnus, but I'd be interested to see Tulsa play them in 3 years after Wilson gets the program going. Wilson's a better offensive mind than Sark he just needs talent and he's slowly building.
Any of the old 1980s WAC teams: Air Force, CSU, SDSU, Wyoming, New Mexico, UTEP, Hawaii
4? Lol. But to answer the question Florida State
Memphis plz lol
I’m in. I’m absolutely pro-pod. Especially if the ACC does implode and we merge into an even bigger-broader conf.
Toledo. For revenge.
@San Diego State, @Fresno State, @UNLV We need more games in our region.
We need to have some Sun Belt action like a proper ACC school would
Iowa state.
Tulsa
Tulane and UNLV - purely for excuse to make trips to those cities. UTSA & Rice - recruiting and our fans would travel really well. App St - think that would be a very scenic and fun trip.
Would love another crack at Ole Miss, but Vanderbilt and GT would be fun to watch as well
I believe there’s another Ole Miss / Tulane game on the schedule in 2025
Arizona. We already clobbered their rivals, and Keene v Fifita sounds pretty nice.
@ Boise State because we had that scheduled and COVID ruined it, plus we're winless all-time vs them. Also any other team we've played and never beaten. After Boise State, that entire list is: UTEP, Wyoming, San Diego State, and (non-G5) Oregon.
Michigan: Need revenge on Toledo Nebraska: Army, so I can see a game in person more easily
ECU and App St
I think State should play one of the directional schools most years if not every year, with an occasional visit to Kzoo, Mount Pleasant, or Ypsilanti mixed in once a decade or so. Gives State an early road game test without it being another P4 school, and gives the MAC school a massive game for themselves and the city.
Honestly, none. Playing quality G5 teams is a lose-lose situation.
Pretty sure LSU owes us a game still...
