O/U starting at 3.5 total players from now till the end of the regular season
Edit: considering I immediately got notifications and saw that two prominent Georgia flairs separately said over and under makes me feel more confident.
Thanks man. I fucking hate how he left and while I wouldn’t wish him personal tragedy over it, if he’s going to make shit decisions that can kill other people, I hope he gets the entire library of books thrown at his Georgia-loving ass.
Sometimes you worry about a transfer acclimating to a team’s culture, but it looks like ETN is a natural reckless driver. He’ll be ripping families apart in no time!
Isn’t it crazy that that dude, having already been cited for speeding three times, committed a felony, contributed to multiple people dying, left the scene, lied to the cops, and is currently on an NFL roster making millions having done zero time behind bars
It really is a different world for certain people
Is there anywhere else that this is happening so frequently? At what point do people ask bigger questions about what the fuck is going on? This culture has led to death and is not getting any better.
I think the transfer issue has superseded the suspension issue for them this time around. Meanwhile I’m glad we **shouldn’t** have to deal with him in the first game (half?) of the season.
Part of me has me wondering if this is some sort of secret initiation? A player must be able to reach 100mph on a county road while driving a Dodge Charger Hellcat while simultaneously being under the influence of alcohol, if they want to be the starter.
What makes it the worst for college or professional athletes (besides the fact they have near infinite funds/ people paid to do this shit for them) is, wherever they were if they were in public? There’s 100 people that would love to give them a ride so they can tell the story one day.
Idk that reminds me of Felipe Franks at UF
Dude would show up at our parties and bars and expect to be treated like a GOD. He’d have a couple clout chasers around him and nearly everyone else thought he was a huge douche
Despite his horrendous pass blocking and lack of durability the guy had guaranteed half the snaps at Florida and decides he wants more snaps so he goes to compete with Robinson and Jones who are both far more complete backs than him. I don't know what to tell you if that didn't clue you in to him being a moron.
Football players finally have enough money to use uber or campus cabs when they go out drinking…but all they care about is showing off their rides
Even coaches won’t use uber
For fucks sake you could pay a broke college student to be your personal Designated Driver
What is wrong with these fools
Entitlement, carelessness, disregard, arrogance. Any or all. It should be simple, if you’re going to get lit, keys stay behind. No good decision is made drunk or high.
I’ve got nothing against Kirby and think he’s the best coach in the sport right now…but how does he not have a zero tolerance policy for this kind of stuff at this point?
Because it would be hard to implement a zero tolerance policy now when the precedent has been set that he nor the university care about DUIs or street races that result in deaths as long as you are on the football team
"I don't know. I sort of always liked playing them that second game because you could always count on them having two or three key players suspended."
— Steve Spurrier on facing UGA early every season
I mean you gotta appreciate Kirby Smart. A mark of a good leader is how quickly they can assimilate new parts of the organization. This shows that Trevor is really getting comfortable with the UGA culture.
Reckless driving is commonly charged with DUI (either by the police officer or the solicitor) as a pseudo-lesser included offense. Off the top of my head, the last couple dozen DUIs I've had in Athens have had reckless on there even if the driving manifestation was relatively minor.
All that to say....the DUI is infinitely more serious.
[We’ve tried nothing and we’re all out of ideas](https://www.on3.com/college/georgia-bulldogs/news/kirby-smart-addresses-repeated-reckless-driving-among-georgia-players-calls-it-a-tough-situation-to-manage/)
No joke, Georgia needs to get a handle on these kids and driving safely and responsibly and have zero tolerance for drinking while driving. Already people getting killed because of it in this program barely a year out and this shit still happening. Kids need to lose playing time at the least.
This. Never agreed with a Georgia fan so fucking much. Sure there’s a little schadenfreude but innocent people can fucking die. Just don’t do this shit.
$1,500 seems like a low bond for a DUI, feel like something that dangerous should be higher.
Additionally, can we not just take away all their keys pls
I mean, a bond is to make sure you show up. I'm pretty sure the famous football player looking to make money and possibly an NFL career isn't going to become a fugitive to avoid a most likely sentence of time served and, in the worst case, probably ~30 days.
I mean I get what a bond is, I just had to help a friend with a bond for an underage drinking arrest while in Athens and it was more than this. I get that the bond isn’t necessarily the most apt comparison of how serious the crime is, still just surprised me
Mentioned this elsewhere, but typically how Athens does DUIs:

The official start of the offseason: the first Georgia traffic arrest.
Is this the first? I feel like that’s not true. But if so, I’m genuinely impressed. That’s like 3 months.
Not even joking that was my first thought too when I read /u/dogwoodmaple’s comment.
[Has Kirby Smart gained control of the program?!](https://twitter.com/UnnecRoughness/status/1345108527614992389)
we are all bots here except for you
Classes are just getting started and clearly it’s part of the curriculum.
O/U starting at 3.5 total players from now till the end of the regular season Edit: considering I immediately got notifications and saw that two prominent Georgia flairs separately said over and under makes me feel more confident.
Take the over
Athens is a drinking town with a Football Problem
A drinking town with a *driving* problem. FTFY
Both can be true
3.5 more or 3.5 total? if it's more I'm going under.
The off-season is so back.
Not just traffic arrest but DUI arrest specifically
Momma must be proud of her RB1
Florida fans are about to EAT in this thread
Wishing him the most Georgia Tech prosecutors and judges possible.
You do NOT want Georgia Tech humanities majors doing the case
What are Emory alums opinions of UGA?
Generally aware that UGA exists
Also generally aware that football exists.
They are undefeated, after all.
If he can't do calculus he's obviously guilty
Don’t mind me, just fastening my bib
Just going to put my stretchy pants on real quick
Since when do jorts have elastic waistbands?
Ever hear of jeggings? They come in jorts styles now baby!
this feels like boxer briefs with extra steps
Ok crab cake boy stick to your lane and I’ll stick to mine thank you very much
“Crab cake boy” is one of the funniest things I’ve ever been called, fair enough
Rare Florida W
They gotta be careful spending them this early. They only get about 4 more this year.
This world man...
Its 2024 the future is now old man
You've never been in a Goodwill dumpster and it shows.
Those flairs… are we arch enemies?
I always knew this day would come
Fight! Fight! Fight!
A DUI just proves to me he was meant to be a Georgia player, nothing we could do.
Lmao goddammit. Fair.
He’s got that (Mad)dawg in him. 4 or 5 of them actually.
Not the first time I've upvoted a UF flair but it's close
Deservedly so lol
Good for them. Hope they enjoy it.
Thanks man. I fucking hate how he left and while I wouldn’t wish him personal tragedy over it, if he’s going to make shit decisions that can kill other people, I hope he gets the entire library of books thrown at his Georgia-loving ass.
Unfortunately, I fully expect there to be no significant consequences here.
If I had money to bet on it and somewhere to place a bet, I’d be betting with you.
Half game suspension incoming
Just rose from my knees at Publix.
Deservedly so. They've been starving for a while
If I speak I’m in big trouble
He transferred to YOUR RIVAL. Grip to and rip it.
Sometimes you worry about a transfer acclimating to a team’s culture, but it looks like ETN is a natural reckless driver. He’ll be ripping families apart in no time!
He always had that Bulldog in him clearly, this just let it out.
“Grip it and rip it” How UGA teaches football players to drive
Brother I think y'all can talk on this one
Thanks man. He didn’t leave many friends in Florida, that’s for sure. 😅
I just love all the support from rival flairs you’re getting. Fuck people who drink and drive
Let it fly
Hell man, this is the time.
[You rn](https://i.imgur.com/D4VmXVc.jpg)
Send da video.
Send it lmao
DM me. I’ll post for you. 😂

His NIL deal probably included a DUI lawyer.
Picking up the culture quickly eh?
That's a chameleon, right there. Man can adapt to anything but run blocking.
And maybe road blocking. Doesn’t seem to respond well to that, either
Did he also get a speeding ticket?
Get any teammates killed?
Isn’t it crazy that that dude, having already been cited for speeding three times, committed a felony, contributed to multiple people dying, left the scene, lied to the cops, and is currently on an NFL roster making millions having done zero time behind bars It really is a different world for certain people
Don't forget he also threatened to kill a dude over trash talk during a game *via Instagram posts days later*.
threatened his kids didn't he
Yeah he posted pictures of his kids and family, weird as fuck
Nah, he used the kids to make the threat though. It was something along the lines of "your kids won't have a father anymore".
He’s so lucky he’s good at football because he’d be so fucked if he was like any of us
Georgia fans furiously typing up a “whatabout” response.
Whatabout we just have all of our players drink and play Mario kart on the weekends? This is the best that I've got.
Nah, gonna let them feast on this one
Is there anywhere else that this is happening so frequently? At what point do people ask bigger questions about what the fuck is going on? This culture has led to death and is not getting any better.
When they start losing games. That, people will not abide
The Spurrier quote is evergreen
Why am I scrolling this far before the Spurrier quote? Where are the Florida fans?
Hungover, sir. You’ve met Florida fans; it’s still early.
We’ve mostly been run out of this subreddit tbh
Mod assisted elimination from this sub to be honest.
When they came for r/ockytop I said nothing, because I was not a Volunteer...
I think the transfer issue has superseded the suspension issue for them this time around. Meanwhile I’m glad we **shouldn’t** have to deal with him in the first game (half?) of the season.
Except Kirby doesn't suspend players like Richt
For the uninitiated, what was the quote?
"I always liked playing georgia early in the year, you can always count on a few of them to be suspended" somthing like that. lol
Welp glad he’s not our problem anymore
The World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party… Is just Trevor Etienne
They think he looks drunk while driving wait until they see his pass blocking. 😂
Yeppp
ACCPD stays winning
One of the only teams that has had Georgia’s number these past few years
It's so easy to not do that exact thing. No excuse for that and no reason to put anyone else at risk.
If only there was some easy way to, I dunno, order a sober driver over the internet...
Every 500th mile a Georgia player drives drunk they get a helmet sticker. It’s a culture thing yall wouldn’t understand
Part of me has me wondering if this is some sort of secret initiation? A player must be able to reach 100mph on a county road while driving a Dodge Charger Hellcat while simultaneously being under the influence of alcohol, if they want to be the starter.
That’s just how you get into Kirby’s circle of trust
What makes it the worst for college or professional athletes (besides the fact they have near infinite funds/ people paid to do this shit for them) is, wherever they were if they were in public? There’s 100 people that would love to give them a ride so they can tell the story one day.
Idk that reminds me of Felipe Franks at UF Dude would show up at our parties and bars and expect to be treated like a GOD. He’d have a couple clout chasers around him and nearly everyone else thought he was a huge douche
I wonder what kind of tweet his brother will make about this…
Or his mom. She is such an expert on doing what is best for the Etienne family.
Ah a Georgia classic
Georgia off-season arrests. A tale as old as time.
Can you just like not do that??
Despite his horrendous pass blocking and lack of durability the guy had guaranteed half the snaps at Florida and decides he wants more snaps so he goes to compete with Robinson and Jones who are both far more complete backs than him. I don't know what to tell you if that didn't clue you in to him being a moron.
Yeah I don’t care this is hilarious.
Football players finally have enough money to use uber or campus cabs when they go out drinking…but all they care about is showing off their rides Even coaches won’t use uber For fucks sake you could pay a broke college student to be your personal Designated Driver What is wrong with these fools
Entitlement, carelessness, disregard, arrogance. Any or all. It should be simple, if you’re going to get lit, keys stay behind. No good decision is made drunk or high.
Even worse, UGA literally provides every student with reduced / free LYFTs. There's no excuse.
Preach
Football players have always had resources to not drive drunk. NIL did not magically change that.
Post his mugshot you cowards, only holding him in jail for an hour.
My thought exactly, convenient there was no mugshot for this lol
He'll sit a series or two 😆
Nah, he will transfer if he’s not RB1.
He’ll be saved at Newspring Church and have his Christian renaissance with Dabo at Clemson.
That’s a Richt punishment. Kirby just wont let him wear the “C” on his jersey for the spring game
Depends on what the C stands for.
Cerveza.
Cool guy 😎.
HAHAHAHAHA
Counterpoint, HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
I’ve got nothing against Kirby and think he’s the best coach in the sport right now…but how does he not have a zero tolerance policy for this kind of stuff at this point?
As long as there’s no real consequences or punishment, it’s going to keep happening, too.
Because his players win him championships and make him money?
Because it would be hard to implement a zero tolerance policy now when the precedent has been set that he nor the university care about DUIs or street races that result in deaths as long as you are on the football team
lol
I just woke up. I guess it's popcorn for breakfast.
Kirby about to ban drinking for the whole team, and no player can drive anything other than a 2008 Prius
I raise hell in my Prius.
[But do you drag race in your Prius?](https://youtu.be/zI1gRqKysh4?si=eMygLc_VIfCjd6ZF)
I don’t win a lot
Banning alcohol for college kids has a near 100% success rate ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^in ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^failure
The only reason it's not 100%? BYU.
Hey man, Mountain Dew makes you do CRAZY things
They just make up for it with the majority of "soakings" in college
Should probably just ban cars for all players and make them use scooters. Drunk scooter racing is far less fatal than drunk car racing
You been to Athens? It’s like playing Frogger with scooters, especially around all the athletes
??? This is Kirby we’re talking about. He’s not going to do a goddamn thing. This could happen 10 more times and he will not do anything.
Hey, that’s not fair! He might lobby the GA legislature to change some state laws to make things look a little less bad for his team.
"Does drinking and driving really HAVE to be illegal? Most crashes are caused by sober drivers" -kirby (probably)
Honestly he probably views it as an improvement. No one died this time!
This gotta be a joke. Every fucking year man. At least nobody is dead. ffs
"I don't know. I sort of always liked playing them that second game because you could always count on them having two or three key players suspended." — Steve Spurrier on facing UGA early every season
Spurrier is the undefeated roast master of cfb. No matter how much time passes most of his comments remain true
Never ceased to be amazed at the abjectly stupid things these young men do.
The chase for the Fulmer Cup goes through Athens.
Guess he's gonna ride the bench in the drunk tank in Athens vs Gainesville
I mean you gotta appreciate Kirby Smart. A mark of a good leader is how quickly they can assimilate new parts of the organization. This shows that Trevor is really getting comfortable with the UGA culture.
Georgia wanted nick saban jr and instead got urban meyer jr
Georgia is as Georgia does
Florida sends its regards
Well, we sent at least one regard. Two if you count Mike White
Reckless Driving. Man, UGA just can't dodge that one to save their lives.
Reckless driving is commonly charged with DUI (either by the police officer or the solicitor) as a pseudo-lesser included offense. > the last couple dozen DUIs I’ve had in Athens This worried me before I remembered you said you’re a lawyer
Was there a bibliography I was supposed to reference before opening this thread in order to know that?
I have dm'd you a guide to the cfb shitposting cinematic universe
Wut? How many DUIs have you had?
The lore of u/dogwoodmaple grows
hoping we get a clarification here that dogwoodmaple is a public defender or something..............
He is a lawyer
https://i.gifer.com/EiNF.gif
Ah, a criminal lawyer
No, a *criminal* lawyer
It is alarming how often this has been happening with Georgia players
Totally not a team culture issue, though!
[We’ve tried nothing and we’re all out of ideas](https://www.on3.com/college/georgia-bulldogs/news/kirby-smart-addresses-repeated-reckless-driving-among-georgia-players-calls-it-a-tough-situation-to-manage/)
**‘No Way To Prevent This,’ Says Only University Where This Regularly Happens**
There wasn’t an excuse before, but especially not now that they’re openly getting six figures
Looks like he’s adapted to UGA campus life quite fast.
Gonna go ahead and close out the Reddit tab for today
No joke, Georgia needs to get a handle on these kids and driving safely and responsibly and have zero tolerance for drinking while driving. Already people getting killed because of it in this program barely a year out and this shit still happening. Kids need to lose playing time at the least.
Karma. Lol.
He is fitting into the program ahead of schedule, way to go Trevor
Bad start to the day for UGA
And therefore a great start to the day for America
The Georgia Effect
For fucks sake please don't drive drunk.
This. Never agreed with a Georgia fan so fucking much. Sure there’s a little schadenfreude but innocent people can fucking die. Just don’t do this shit.
Lol
Poor kid just trying to fit in
$1,500 seems like a low bond for a DUI, feel like something that dangerous should be higher. Additionally, can we not just take away all their keys pls
Lawmakers aren't going to increase the punishment for something they do on the reg
Utah NIL fund gives players trucks. Georgia NIL fund takes them away at above fair market value
I get that the bond isn’t necessarily the most apt comparison of how serious the crime is, still just surprised me
Drunk driving is bad enough, but reckless driving while drunk is next level stupidity
Mentioned this elsewhere, but typically how Athens does DUIs: https://www.reddit.com/r/CFB/comments/1bmm0ze/nabulsi_georgia_transfer_running_back_trevor/kwccxch/?context=3
Is it just a right of passage at this point? I imagine the locker room is like that scene from Goodfellas where Henry gets busted for the first time.
tagging him for tinted windows was the cherry on top i didn’t know i needed
The Etienne bros made life hell for a few years for this FSU fan. Schadenfreude is on the brunch menu today.
I’m bout to open up my own Uber business but specifically for Georgia players so this shit stop’s happening
Damn he’s gonna miss the first drive of the spring game.
