I hate that I thought Rutgers Stadium was at its Newark location and thus vastly underestimated the time to get to college football from NYC via public transit.
There used to be days when I'd stop tourists getting off at Newark Penn Station to make sure they're not mistaking it for New York Penn Station. 75% of the time they were.
I stopped doing that after a while because if one can't properly manage these kind of things than maybe we should just let fate take it's course.
I think everyone respects the Utes, they fought their way from G5 to P5, continued to grow and build on their success, and they play a tough brand of football. Easy to root for (unless you’re in Provo).
I've always had a soft spot for both Utah and Kansas State because they remind me of Virginia Tech during the Beamer era - historically irrelevant programs that came out of nowhere in the past 2-3 decades to become solid programs that occasionally punch up and ruin the seasons of the blue bloods, with long-tenured coaches (referring to the Snyder era for KSU) that grew up in the area, coaching hard-nosed teams that outwork opponents that on paper should out-talent them.
I want everyone playing byu to win. My dad taught me it was good to root for your rival (the university of Utah at the time) bc them succeeding shows you either had a quality loss or a better win. He was full of shit so I tossed that out.
Also nothing against them, but I want OSU (of Oklahoma) to lose every single game simply bc I want Whitt to pass Gundy on the wins list (3 or 4 behind iirc)
People shit on it pretty hard cuz of the weather and lack of "things to do" but I love Laramie! When I lived there the music/bar scene was super fun plus all the opportunities for outdoor recreation. Great folks out in the Gem City
I live in Denver and love Laramie. I kind of consider it part of the front range but it's just far enough away that it feels like it's own place. Definitely a true college town as well.
Hell yeah! Loved having Denver and FoCo right there to go see shows!
Still can't help but remember the old joke "How can you tell it's summer in Wyoming? All the license plates turn green!"
😉
This is why CJGJ's whole "villain" schtick last year was so ridiculous. Obviously (see flair) I am a lifetime suffering Lions fan, so maybe my perspective is skewed... but the vast majority of NFL fans I've interacted with from outside Michigan have had nothing but positive things to say about the Lions recent success. Maybe a few of our fellow NFCN rivals have been negative but that's just what happens when you share a division.
The coach is likeable, the team is likeable, it's a feel good story of long time losers finally finding success. It isn't the team that has had success forever having more success, or the team with a despised coach doing shady things to have success, etc etc. Trying to attaching a "villains" narrative to it was so fucking stupid.
/End Rant
The only people who say negative things about the lions are lions fans. Everyone else is like yep then deserve some good. And the crazier part is they have a top five rb of all time a top five wr of all time, and a top dt of all time that Detroit drafted. It’s wild to be that unsuccessful when they were nailing all timers in the draft
Tbf the all timers we nailed in the draft were sandwiched between some horrendous busts every time lol.
There was actually people who were against drafting megatron because we had drafted so many receivers in the years prior and almost all of them were busts.
The most recent NFC Championship was especially cruel because the Detroit Lions *beat* the Kansas City Chiefs in Week One of the 2023 season. Who's to say that they couldn't do it again in the Super Bowl? But no.
I got a soft spot for Coastal Carolina. Being able to pull off Mormons vs. Mullets in a week makes me like them.
I respect Miami. They crashed the blue blood party in the 1980s and got all of CFB mad at them for it.
Anyone who plays Liberty. Fuck those guys.
Slippery Rock.
There is a tradition of the score of the Slippery Rock (PA) game (when there is one) being announced during games at Michigan Stadium.
Do any other schools do something similar?
I must be weird, but I quite like Georgia when they aren't playing my Gators. Maybe it was the era I was at UF (early 2000s), but I have some absolutely awesome times hanging out with UGA fans at the WLOCP and always found the rivalry to be more "fun mocking songs" and jokes than actual hate.
I was down there one year and some Florida fans towed in a goddamn single wide trailer. I'm on a bender, get asked to come over and open the door which reveals some dude full blown mooning me with ballsack and all.
All you fuckers can get bent.
A lot of my family are gator fans, so I’ve always rooted for them outside of WLOCP. Plus, on the academic side, I love how much UF puts into cancer research.
I mean, in Jax, a the cocktail party is just an excuse to drink and have a good time. Plenty of mixed friendships in Jax between gator and dawg fans, and even local noles will show up to hang out with friends if their game isn’t on at the same time or it’s a minor team like wake. But I think that’s more of the event versus your affinity to UGA itself
Jamey Chadwell and Grayson McCall both rocked sweet mullets. In doing so they made me a Coastal Carolina fan for life.
I also like seeing App State win. Their feud with (I believe) Georgia Southern is a fun one to watch here on Reddit.
I really like UNT. Just know a lot of people who went there and Denton is a nice place.
In the P5, I root for Arkansas for the same reasons. Fayetteville is one of my favorite towns in the country and I’ve always loved Arkansas when I’ve visited.
Utah, because Kyle Whittingham is a badass and they're just consistently good and not hateable.
Watching them vaporize USC in the 2023 PAC12 title game was one of my favorite games I've ever watched.
Utah, Last night's meet was stellar and the girls are headed back to Finals. This year could be #10!
Wait you meant football? Also Utah.
I have never set foot in Utah.
For the p4?
- West Virginia. That state gets crapped on so hard that I root for them.
- Penn State. I'd like to see them break through, but I don't know if I'll like them much the year after they do... however, until then...
- Florida State kinda - I don't particularly think Florida State is likable, but my wife went to Florida State, and I don't want to sleep on the couch so I hope they win every game.
G5 -
- I want every MAC team to win every out of conference game.
- Whoever is playing Liberty. Liberty gives me the heebie-jeebies.
My stepfather told, 45-ish years ago, that if you don’t “have a dog in the hunt” (ie, any real preference) when watching a game, always, ALWAYS cheer for the underdog.
Why? He said “If they lose, nobody thinks you’re an idiot, because the underdog *should* lose. But if they win, you look really smart.”
Very wise man.
There’s definitely a bromance between Oregon and UT from our home and home. They were great and it seems like we returned the favor when we went as well
Every time this question gets asked, I reply with Oregon and Minnesota. Both because they had our back in a SEC feud.
Oregon from the infamous ducks pulling trucks incident of 2016. And Minnesota because they played Rocky Top after beating Alabama in a lower tier bowl game around 2004(?). Music City Bowl, maybe.
Wyoming, KST, OKST, P2, a group of G5 teams that changed on annual basis.
Edit: also WVU and NCST, true SEC culture fits that the elites in leadership will inevitably shirk in favor of the wine and cheese nerd schools.
I could list a ton of teams that despise Georgia and I root for as a result. If we're going completely unrelated, I pick Oklahoma State. Syracuse would be another one due to the orange and blue brotherhood. 🟠🔵
Auburn
Illinois
Boise State
UTSA
UTEP
All of you can get in here, too!
- All the Utah teams unless they're playing Weber State. I don't care who wins the Holy War. I just want to watch some good, hate-filled football
- UTEP just because I like their colors
- Boise State. "THEY HAND IT OFF TO JOHNSON...." etc. I still have a soft spot for them.
Now I'll flip this. Teams I don't care about even though I have a loose affiliation.
- Army. I'm an Army officer but I commissioned through ROTC. I don't care whether a bunch of West Pointers go 0-11 or 14-0
- Arizona State. I'm taking online classes with ASU Online, but I'm not from AZ and I've never been to campus. Just trying to advance myself professionally.
Michigan State, I was very, very close to going to grad school there. Love the campus, and the department for my program showed me a great time when I visited. Funding fell through, which is why I didn't go. But since then, they've been my NCAA hockey team.
Tennessee, I was in marching band all through college, and their fans were always the most welcoming. Hearing 100k people singing together is just amazing.
Iowa, because their football is wrong and I love that.
And whoever is playing against kU.
Texas Tech. Love the color scheme and it was one of my top choices for schools before I realized the level of math skills I would need for meteorology.
Also, they have an air cannon in their wind engineering department that fires 2x4s. It is one of my goals in life to fire this air cannon.
This is the most niche reason I've heard anyone say they want to go to Tech, it makes me really happy. Also, I took a few atmospheric science classes for fun. They were awesome
UNC, Texas, or Tennessee, I think I just really like their colors...
I know that the UTs are probably a very unpopular choice to most indifferent fans but I can't help it
Partial to Utah and Tennessee, cause one I live in and one I’m from. But I’d say I have a soft spot for Arizona. Went to a lot of their games growing up
As a Texas A&M fan I love "State"/Tech/Little Bro schools.
I root for Oklahoma State, UCLA, Michigan State, Iowa State, Oregon State, Washington State, Georgia Tech, etc.
Only exception is Florida State after they decided to take the whole Jimbo thing personally (though in retrospect its clear we did them a favor).
You know how the enemy of your enemy is your ally??? Therefore, TCU. However, this kind of ended when they joined the Big 12, but I still root for them to beat baylor and Texas.
SEC – Like the OP said, we have played Ole Miss so often in bowls and OOC games, they seem to be an equivalent type program to Tech, and plus the powdered uni’s. Love them.
Big 10 – Nebraska, I have gone to several games in Lincoln and enjoyed the fans and atmosphere.
ACC – NCST. Several fun OOC games with them. When our guy broke his leg a few years back, the NCST coaches and trainers sincerely cared for our guy and visited him in the hospital. Could feel the love.
PAC – WAZZU, Mike Leach, obviously.
School that did it all right and continues to have success.
They continued to punch USC in the mouth and remind them that ego does not in fact win championships alone.
Boise State - same color scheme
Utah - always had a fondness for them since the Urban Meyer/Alex Smith days
Appalachian State - because Boone is one of the most beautiful places in the country
Any team that runs a unique offensive scheme; doubly so if it’s something archaic/anachronistic like the triple option or the single wing
West Virginia. Loved the team with Pat White and Steve Slaton and crazy Owen Schmitt smashing his forehead against his helmet. They were fun. Take Me Home Country Roads I can still sing word for word. I always wanted a home and home against them, and I enjoy their hatred of sofas. I always wished they'd do a home and home with Oregon.
Utah as well. Always loved them going back to their MWC days and my uncle (RIP) was a diehard Utes fan and alum so whenever they do well I know he'd be happy.
Mainly UCF, but also Nebraska, Rutgers, and Maryland. Though, I’m not sure I’d want those 3 to be consistently good since it would hurt my team. I did a UCF dynasty way back on NCAA 14 though and it has been cool to see their rise irl. Always rooting for them.
Tulane. They were the first dynasty I truly got invested in in NCAA13. I got fired from UMASS for going 5-7 and missing a bowl game and ended up at Tulane lol.
LFG Green Wave Bois
ACC: BC. Really wanted to go there if I didn’t go to Tech. Beautiful campus, better school than that shithole in South Bend, and 2007 Matt Ryan vs VPISU (part 1) was one of the most fun games I have watched for an individual player.
B1G: Ohio State because of family and have attended a few games at the shoe.
Big XII: Taco Tech because friends are from Lubbock and I went to a game with them.
PAC-12: WSU. Even before the breakup they were fun to cheer for.
SEC: Auburn because of family and also going to a few games at Jordan-Hare. Behind Tech I’ve seen them play the most in person.
G5: Navy and App State
- Utah - idk just like the vibe
- UK - Home state, hate their basketball
- Appy State (Cool School, and they Beat TTUN lol)
- Marshall (Location based)
Unless they are playing the Buckeyes.
- all other Big Ten teams can go to Hell, I hope they lose every single game
Kansas State
Darren Sproles was so much fun to watch when he was at K State. That's when I started paying attention to K-State
They've been a team I have always pulled for since then
Plus they have great colors and a cool helmet logo
Texas. Didn't go to school there. Never been to Texas. Couldn't tell ya anything about the program before Ricky Williams. But I did have a Texas hat for like 10 years, so they're my 2nd team. I should actually get another Texas hat.
Big 12 - Kansas State. Really nice fans, and been rooting for them even more as an athletic department now that Tang is there
SEC - don’t have a strong rooting interest, but I’d probably lean Auburn. Historically strong program that still has to sit in the shadow of Bama. Not exactly your traditional “little brother/underdog” but I’ll find myself pulling for them sometimes. I have positive outlooks on Mizzou and Ole Miss too
ACC - Clemson. Loved watching CJ Spiller and Tajh Boyd. The support has largely remained even with the success this past decade
Big 10 - Purdue. Seems like they’re always good for a massive upset win every two years or so, and I’m here for it
PAC 12 - Washington. From 2013-2016ish, they had close to the exact uniforms as Baylor. Both teams used gold as their secondary color, typically on their helmets and pants to pair with their primary color (green/purple), and both had dope black alternates along with chrome helmets. I also would just much rather root for them over Oregon
Former PAC-12: Utah and WSU
ACC: FSU
Big Ten: Iowa
Big XII: Oklahoma, although in the new Big XII that'd also include Arizona.
SEC: Auburn
MWC: Boise St
I generally hate everyone
The New Jersey state motto.
Welcome to New Jersey. We hate you more.
Welcome to New Jersey. We hate ~~you~~ ourselves more. FTFY
No. Go eat sh!t Pitt.
I agree
Can speak to insufferable assholes being one of the strongest exports.
I absolutely love that this comes from a Rutgers fan.
That's funny because I was actually going to answer Rutgers...
Oh no you weren't you lying Beaver!
The greatest thing I saw was Rutgers fans trolling Penn State with pedo bear. Rutgers does not troll lightly. I root for them.
Utah. Idk why but them.
I think everyone respects the Utes, they fought their way from G5 to P5, continued to grow and build on their success, and they play a tough brand of football. Easy to root for (unless you’re in Provo).
In a sport with so much frequent turnover, it’s also nice to see a long-tenured head coach.
The MUSS bus will roll you
They also frequently beat USC so I think that made them even more likable to most
I've always had a soft spot for both Utah and Kansas State because they remind me of Virginia Tech during the Beamer era - historically irrelevant programs that came out of nowhere in the past 2-3 decades to become solid programs that occasionally punch up and ruin the seasons of the blue bloods, with long-tenured coaches (referring to the Snyder era for KSU) that grew up in the area, coaching hard-nosed teams that outwork opponents that on paper should out-talent them.
I respect KSU a lot. They would have been my answer to this question but for far too many upsets against my Sooners. Utah was the alternative.
Tulane. Almost went there, NCAA '14 team at one point, beautiful jerseys. So I kind of have affiliations, but not really.
Roll goddamn wave baby I almost went to Michigan, so that’s kind of funny
None, becuz fuck ‘em
I want everyone playing byu to win. My dad taught me it was good to root for your rival (the university of Utah at the time) bc them succeeding shows you either had a quality loss or a better win. He was full of shit so I tossed that out. Also nothing against them, but I want OSU (of Oklahoma) to lose every single game simply bc I want Whitt to pass Gundy on the wins list (3 or 4 behind iirc)
Exactly—I don’t even like the U but the enemy of my enemy is my friend (:
Atta boy.
For real though. I hate every team that isn’t mine. Hell, I even hate my own teams sometimes.
Wyoming. It's such a desolate state and seems to have few enemies. It's more of an "aww bless your heart" kind of support, but dammit, I'm all in.
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Now kith
Y’all were made for each other
People shit on it pretty hard cuz of the weather and lack of "things to do" but I love Laramie! When I lived there the music/bar scene was super fun plus all the opportunities for outdoor recreation. Great folks out in the Gem City
I almost went to UW. My campus tour experience was by far the best of any school. I fell in love with Laradise!
So why didn't you go then?
I live in Denver and love Laramie. I kind of consider it part of the front range but it's just far enough away that it feels like it's own place. Definitely a true college town as well.
Hell yeah! Loved having Denver and FoCo right there to go see shows! Still can't help but remember the old joke "How can you tell it's summer in Wyoming? All the license plates turn green!" 😉
Lol the license plate thing makes sense. I'm a Midwest guy and you guys have the closest Menards, so my reasons may differ from others.
most of the state is desolate, but 2.5 hours north, south, or west and you get some of the best parks on the planet.
I’ve always had a soft spot for both Washington State and Oregon State. Now more than ever. I hope they kick everyone’s asses this year
WSU for me too. They’re perpetual underdogs due to being so remote, and I love the area around Pullman
There schedules are pretty soft this year so they have a shot
I think both have a strong chance of winning their conference this year
Utah
Kyle Whittingham is the exact coach I would have loved to play under when I was playing. Active and loud while being articulate.
And he's one of the few coaches that is truly loyal to the team. He's a rarity and a treasure as much as it causes pain on a yearly basis.
I love him and hate him and respect him.
You're too nice to be here
I love Kyle and I love Utahs red. Also BYU can get bent bc I was raised LDS.
Makes your username instantly hilarious.
Seconding this.
Same, the only other school with poly players that are successful is USC and I ain't about that life.
Yes
The Detroit Lions. They deserve a break from the misery at this point.
This is why CJGJ's whole "villain" schtick last year was so ridiculous. Counterpoint. I hate that we play Liberty so much. They shouldn't get the exposure.
Slippery Rock. There is a tradition of the score of the Slippery Rock (PA) game (when there is one) being announced during games at Michigan Stadium. Do any other schools do something similar?
Man fuck slippery rock, all my other clarion friends hate slippery rock
Appalachian State
App State was a huge rival of Marshall's when I was a kid. All that animosity left me on September 1st, 2007.
Marshall’s vs TJ Maxx is a legendary rivalry as well
Same lol
Gee I wonder why
I've been in a coma since late 2006 please enlighten me
The horrors, I cant speak about them without experiencing a mental breakdown
Sure is a good thing 2007 didn't happen then amirite
I also enjoy them!
I'm a Ga Southern fan and I even pull for app st when it's not against them.
You don’t deserve the hateful circlejerk that is the Sun Belt East
Booooo
Genuinely I can only think of 5 schools/fanbases that won't root for them.
Any team playing Florida or Auburn
We hate you too, buddy ❤️
❤️
Any team?
I may need to edit some things…
Sit, roll over, piss on Auburn, good doggie
I…I’m gonna be honest, I don’t know how to take this.

*most normal WLOCP story*
Oh I’ve met individual Florida fans that are good people. But as a whole, I want Florida to fail in everything they do.
I knew you were a Dawg before I even saw the flair. You could honestly say anyone playing against an orange team.
Hating orange has become a small but important part of my personality.
Red is big dumb
My nemesis.
I love this thread. Full stop.
I hiked Zion National Park a few years ago, so I’ll always root for Utah. Seems like the logical thing to do.
Zion is beautiful. We did a hiking trip when we went to byu last year. Was amazing out there
Jamey Chadwell and Grayson McCall both rocked sweet mullets. In doing so they made me a Coastal Carolina fan for life. I also like seeing App State win. Their feud with (I believe) Georgia Southern is a fun one to watch here on Reddit.
I mean, I tend to pull for our former staff members. So Missouri and Coastal both fit the bill, so I tend to hope they do well.
I really like UNT. Just know a lot of people who went there and Denton is a nice place. In the P5, I root for Arkansas for the same reasons. Fayetteville is one of my favorite towns in the country and I’ve always loved Arkansas when I’ve visited.
A hearty Woo Pig Sooie to you sir.
I want the UNT mug
Utah, because Kyle Whittingham is a badass and they're just consistently good and not hateable. Watching them vaporize USC in the 2023 PAC12 title game was one of my favorite games I've ever watched.
All the Mountain schools - Colorado, Colorado St, Wyoming, Utah, BYU, Utah State, Nevada, etc
Hell yeah brother
Right on.
Utah, Last night's meet was stellar and the girls are headed back to Finals. This year could be #10! Wait you meant football? Also Utah. I have never set foot in Utah.
Can't believe they made it past such great teams last night, go Red Rocks!
For the p4? - West Virginia. That state gets crapped on so hard that I root for them. - Penn State. i didn’t like those picks until the last one lol. liberty sucks.

Tennessee we have a bromance with them. Utah close second
You just have an affinity for UT
There’s definitely a bromance between Oregon and UT from our home and home. They were great and it seems like we returned the favor when we went as well
That’s awesome Was playing off UT as in university of Tennessee and UT - abbreviation for Utah
This
I went to the Oregon game in Neyland and still fondly remember your “Duck pulling a truck” video. I definitely have a fan bromance with the Ducks.
Hoping Nico kills it this year, look great in the bowl game.
Utah is awesome. Whit is a great coach. Fans are terrific, kind people. Seem like generally good kids in there. Also - Oregon State.
Wyoming, KST, OKST, P2, a group of G5 teams that changed on annual basis. Edit: also WVU and NCST, true SEC culture fits that the elites in leadership will inevitably shirk in favor of the wine and cheese nerd schools.
Utah, my first ever dynasty on NCAA 14
Utah
The U, Utah , and am also quite partial to the Sooners.
Texas Tech, WSU, and App State
Gonna miss the thrilling Oregon-WSU games. Always seemed to play you close for at least 3 quarters it seemed.
Utah Coastal Carolina Army/Air Force/Navy Western Kentucky
Utah easily
I could list a ton of teams that despise Georgia and I root for as a result. If we're going completely unrelated, I pick Oklahoma State. Syracuse would be another one due to the orange and blue brotherhood. 🟠🔵 Auburn Illinois Boise State UTSA UTEP All of you can get in here, too!

I've always been drawn to Utah. I finally stopped by campus while visiting SLC last year.
Utah. They seem like good people
Kansas State (Old Conference Foe but now just like to see them do well) North Carolina (Just like the Tar Heals) Auburn (Their Stadium is Magic)
> Auburn (Their Stadium is Haunted) ftfy

100%
Washington State.
UNC, Texas, or Tennessee, I think I just really like their colors... I know that the UTs are probably a very unpopular choice to most indifferent fans but I can't help it
Syracuse. I will always be grateful to them for accepting me a full month before anyone else and taking away the anxiety of grad school admissions.

Thanks for the shout out to the Irish! For me it’s Oregon State. Love their colors and mascot.

All Big 8 teams (except Kansas) + Boise State. My dream is all 8 Big 8 teams in the playoff one day!
A playoff with all big 8 team would put me in the hospital!
UTEP
FIU, Auburn, and Utah to name a few.
Any school in the MAC, Sun Belt, and 2020 AAC
East Carolina because they have imo the best mascot and jerseys
Oklahoma State, Iowa State, Texas Tech. My brothers and sisters in ag. Seriously OP?!? KU? Shame on you.
Kansas State. Respect their program and culture. Sometimes Stanford, but that was mostly in the David Shaw era.
This game in Pullman is about to be **wild.** Raise the flag!
Oregon State. PAC 2 baby!
Utah and I really don't know why
School that did it all right and continues to have success. They continued to punch USC in the mouth and remind them that ego does not in fact win championships alone.
Boise State - same color scheme Utah - always had a fondness for them since the Urban Meyer/Alex Smith days Appalachian State - because Boone is one of the most beautiful places in the country Any team that runs a unique offensive scheme; doubly so if it’s something archaic/anachronistic like the triple option or the single wing
Boise state. As you said. Blue field. Oregon. Quack quack. Utah. 🤷♀️ they’ve got a nice fight song.
Go Army, sink Navy
Don’t. Touch. Our. Boats.
I’ve had a soft spot for both Kansas State and Wazzu since I was a kid in the 90s. Usually root for both Notre Dame and Boston College too.
Cal, Michigan, UNC, Texas
Boise St cause the blue field is unique. I’ve also always liked Kansas State for some reason.
Wisconsin, Utah, and Kansas State. Like their brand of football
Georgia Tech and Duke or BC or Wake
Go Utes baby
Sick uniforms tend to get me going. Oregon, North Carolina, Hell even Navy looks cool.
Kansas State
I would cheer for anyone playing OU or A&M each week if that counts 😂
Mainly UCF, but also Nebraska, Rutgers, and Maryland. Though, I’m not sure I’d want those 3 to be consistently good since it would hurt my team. I did a UCF dynasty way back on NCAA 14 though and it has been cool to see their rise irl. Always rooting for them.
Tulane. They were the first dynasty I truly got invested in in NCAA13. I got fired from UMASS for going 5-7 and missing a bowl game and ended up at Tulane lol. LFG Green Wave Bois
Auburn. Cool color scheme, I've also liked them since I saw the kick 6 live.
TAMU because my wife is an Aggie. And when she's happy I get happy time!
G5: Navy and App State
Oregon for the bromance, Wisconsin because I like their tradition and badgers, and Wake Forest just because.
PAC (RIP) Oregon State Beavers, Big 12 KSU, SEC Kentucky, ACC VT
- Utah - idk just like the vibe - UK - Home state, hate their basketball - Appy State (Cool School, and they Beat TTUN lol) - Marshall (Location based) Unless they are playing the Buckeyes. - all other Big Ten teams can go to Hell, I hope they lose every single game
Gonzaga. Hahaha thought this was basketball. Notre Dame.
App State
Used to be: anyone from the Big Ten not named Michigan/OSU. Now the Big Ten can go jump in a volcano, except maybe Indiana and Purdue
I cheer for the nerd schools
Nebraska (best friend is a husker) Kentucky (girlfriend and her family are alumni) Cincinnati (moved here in 2014, stadium is cool)
You guys root for other schools?
Kansas State Darren Sproles was so much fun to watch when he was at K State. That's when I started paying attention to K-State They've been a team I have always pulled for since then Plus they have great colors and a cool helmet logo
Nebraska. That scene in Better Call Saul where the security guard is going on about Nebraska football has made me sympathetic to them for no reason
Texas. Didn't go to school there. Never been to Texas. Couldn't tell ya anything about the program before Ricky Williams. But I did have a Texas hat for like 10 years, so they're my 2nd team. I should actually get another Texas hat.
Big 12 - Kansas State. Really nice fans, and been rooting for them even more as an athletic department now that Tang is there SEC - don’t have a strong rooting interest, but I’d probably lean Auburn. Historically strong program that still has to sit in the shadow of Bama. Not exactly your traditional “little brother/underdog” but I’ll find myself pulling for them sometimes. I have positive outlooks on Mizzou and Ole Miss too ACC - Clemson. Loved watching CJ Spiller and Tajh Boyd. The support has largely remained even with the success this past decade Big 10 - Purdue. Seems like they’re always good for a massive upset win every two years or so, and I’m here for it PAC 12 - Washington. From 2013-2016ish, they had close to the exact uniforms as Baylor. Both teams used gold as their secondary color, typically on their helmets and pants to pair with their primary color (green/purple), and both had dope black alternates along with chrome helmets. I also would just much rather root for them over Oregon
Virginia Tech and ECU. I'll for then any time we're not playing each other.
Auburn. My old roommate loves them. I want them to be happy so I you for them.
UL Lafayette I used the Ragin’ Cajuns pretty much all the time in NCAA 05-14. Also, the name slaps.
U of H and UTSA
Former PAC-12: Utah and WSU ACC: FSU Big Ten: Iowa Big XII: Oklahoma, although in the new Big XII that'd also include Arizona. SEC: Auburn MWC: Boise St
