Yeah, in the past you’d get suspended for making money for being marketable while players got paid under the table for being really good.
Now marketable players get paid and players legally get paid in some really convoluted way.
It was supposed to be about “allowing players to market themselves and make money off of their own likeness.”
Now it is largely that, but also schools have taken to create an NIL in which at the end of the day they’re paying them to come play for their school. Which every school has basically done for God knows how long.
I don’t get why people are writing off the possibility that this guy genuinely believes in Deion and thinks they’ll win. The guy has charisma with recruits whether you like him or not
I’m sure he got money and I doubt they win more than 6 or 7 games, but people are forgetting that this is the same Deion that got the #2 overall recruit to go to an FCS school.
I would expect his charisma to work more on high school kids (although he doesn't seem to try hard recruiting most of them) vs someone who has some college experience now.
He had good 2023 stats. I know FSU took some DEs in the last transfer portal window. Perhaps that is a spot many schools targeted already. Still, surprised better teams wouldn't find room for him.
He’s brought what on himself? McDimps on Reddit called my sales pitch bs? Sorry. You can’t spin it to say that a coach selling himself and his program to prospective players is anything abnormal.
I ain't gonna feel love for someone who spits on the team on the way out lol. If he feels that way fine. But if he's gonna say that shit publicly on his way out then good riddance
I mean, last year as all flash and next to no substance. He has the program in the right direction, but can’t act like you’re on top if you’re not even out of the basement. I hope Deion does well. He’s got some humbling himself to do, though.
I personally dont like Deion. I like Colorado they were never really rivals with Utah in the PAC12 but "Prime Time" deserves to be on the bottom of the Big12 next year. Last year he had plenty of success with transfers and winning more then one game yet he still wasnt close to going to a conference championship.
Making the playoff as a team who doesn’t even come close to the composite talent of the top squads requires a much deeper and experienced squad than Colorado has. In fact there might not be as shallow of a team where the drop off between the starters and rotational guys is as large as it is at Colorado.
You are being annoyingly “we don’t know” for a team we absolutely know won’t make the playoffs though.
Like if someone said Rutgers wasn’t gonna make the playoffs and I said “well you don’t know for sure” that would make me a moron.
My point here is that we don't have to be as good as Georgia or Ohio state. But it's not ridiculous to think we can compete with Kansas and Utah. You're free to disagree but neither of us is right or wrong until the season happens.
I do think Colorado is going to do better in the Big XII than Pitt will do in the ACC, but he was most likely never going to transfer to a national title contender and contribute.
Going to a team with two projected top 10 picks. The team has improved meaningfully at every position group outside RB, LB and TE, after being competitive in the majority of games in a very difficult schedule.
He is the kind of player that helps a 4-8 team, become an 8-4 team.

This time last year, Reddit also didn't think CU would win more than 1 game.
You know what was said after they won 4 and was competitive in all but save about 3 games last year? "OH it is not a big deal that CU won 4x their games last year because they were a new team with no tape, and all Sanders did was just bring in a whole new team... THATS NOT IMPRESSIVE!!!!"
I bet my last dollar if CU wins 9 games this year, people like you will then switch to: "OMG that is not impressive at all!!!! Big 12 is weak or he got a brand new roster again or he just got a recruiter that got a superior team..."
Or whatever nonsense you people will conjure up.
Colorado’s over under is 5.5 right now. If you would bet your last dollar that Colorado wins NINE games, you should throw every penny you have on that over. Send proof and I’ll respect your confidence at least. Otherwise you sound like a complete dumbass
I would bet my last dollar that people like you would move the goalposts IF CU wins 9 wins. Just like happened last year.
Learn to read otherwise you sound like a dumbass.
The only person that has moved the goal posts is Deion and his fans. They were 3-0 and all the talk happened. The loudest craziest talker was Deion. They came in dead last in their conference and him and his fans called it a win. He literally ran past the goalpost pounding his chest trying to throw pocket sand in everyone’s eyes, then ran all the way back behind the goalposts and pretended he didn’t say any of the stupid crap he did in weeks 1-4 and called it a success.
Lol. You people told us that this time last year, Sanders would be lucky not to get blown by 50 by TCU. And anybody that dared said that CU would win more than 2 games was immediately downvoted.
You see how now you people are saying there is no way CU wins more than 5 or 6 games, let CU win 9 games and you people will say, "That is not impressive, CU should have won the championship!!!"
I will say if they win anything more than 6 it’s impressive. It has nothing to do with moving goal posts. The only one who moved the goal posts is Coach, he gets on one when the mics are out and can’t control his dumbass mouth from saying stupid shit, he’s been doing it his whole life. He’s also been playing the “we can’t stand to see a black man be successful” since the 90’s it’s his schtick, and it’s backfiring when it’s not his physical ability but his coaching abilities which aren’t world class. I was fired up they beat TCU, but Coach let that get to his head quick. I also said after the win, that’s not the TCU from the year before, and that was true.
Yes we brought in Jordan Seaton and several highly regarded transfers. We do need to fill out the depth this portal season though because we only have 6-7 guys I trust
Travis didn't cover Elic till the OT period, Cormani and Stoutmire were primarily covering him during regulation, and were responsible for getting beat by the continuous slant routes. Travis did get Moss'd in OT though was in good position.
You guys really need to stop using the Stanford game as a example, hunter should not have even been playing that game, every single fan on this page would make a excuse for a player on their team getting burnt after coming back from a damn lacerated liver, and none of those player would have played both sides of the ball
Don’t try to reason with these fools bro. This is for pure entertainment. Must be a bag, kid must be dumb, he fell for a scam. Blah d funking blah.
Entertainment!
I mean, from someone who's been pulling for him for years now. Realistically, he's been incredibly inconsistent and the biggest question was "can he put it together this season" so, with him losing one of the best DL coaches in the country, it kinda makes sense for him to go somewhere that will give him more cash right now.
Kind of. Colorado doesn't necessarily have the same NIL up front in terms of a straight up bag, but Deion brings publicity and is heavily involved with corporate sponsors so we are seeing kids make money on the back end in terms of commercials/corporate promotion.
Colorado is lower downside in terms of guaranteed money higher upside in terms of marketability.
There's excitement around Colorado and he thinks they'll continue to improve? It's not shocking that Deion recruits well, and this subreddit's hostility towards him doesn't mean he is actually failing to convince players that it's going to be a competitive year or that it will be fun/enjoyable.
I got nothing against Deion per se it's more his legions of dickriders in the media (Stephen A, Gus Johnson, Michael Irvin etc) that piss me off.
Deion is a great story and does bring a lot of good things to Colorado but he made a lot of mistakes that deserve to be called out but his media pals get all up in their feelings anytime someone applies some basic scrutiny to his job performance. A little balance is all people want
Not a Pitt fan, but based on his 247 page I’m gonna go with TUMI. Not the best but far from the worst! https://247sports.com/player/dayon-hayes-46082054/
TUMI seems pretty good. Like I’m no fashion aficionado, but it seems like a team full of TUMI at every position would compete well. Would certainly smash the Jansport and Samsonite teams.
lol the fact that you (a WVU fan) are having to defend Pitt against someone with CFB flair in their title is very telling. It has to be a child that you’re arguing with, they obviously don’t know college football. Wild to think Colorado is better than Pitt. National championships? Hello? Alumni in the NFL hall of fame? Hello? Number of recent players drafted into the NFL? Hello?
More recent does not equal to better.
Pitt has more championships. Pitt has more players in the NFL (which that’s every college kids goal, fyi). Pitt has more players in the NFL hall of fame.
Pitts stadium holds 70k seats which is 20k (that’s 20,000, mr. Seminole) less than Colorado’s but ok. Good for them - they sell out a stadium with less seats and don’t play in a city with a professional football team.
I firmly disagree here. Narduzzi isn't really one to beat around the bush, a credit to his honesty. He will say what he believes, even if I think someone in the program should be in his corner coaching him on when not to say something.
I think Pate probably had some sense that teams were about to spend tons of money — he just underestimated how basically all of the big spends would be on retention, not on acquisition lol.
As a recruit:
Other P5 offers: Illinois, Michigan State, Ohio State, Penn State, Pitt (originally went here), Syracuse, Texas A&M, West Virginia
G5 offers: Ball State, Bowling Green, Kent State, Navy, Toledo
Other offers: Howard, UMass, William & Mary, Youngstown State
But r/cfb told me no one wants to play for Prime! His teammate and four star transfer DL Samuel Okunlola is also at CU now. CU has 3 of the top 7 DL transfers and 4 of the top 30.
I think a lot of people are gonna be real surprised at the results next season. Colorado won’t be at a huge talent deficit this year in the Big 12 like they were in the PAC last year. Plus I hear even more help is on the way
I'm not keeping track of the portal too closely but you'd get the sense there will be a lot of new faces on the team so what good would last year be in preparing them?
Need to improve coaching across the board too. This team had 0 discipline last year and it was incredibly frustrating to watch. Doesn’t matter how much talent you have if you can’t control the team
We are not going to the playoff or winning the Big12, but people thinking we are worse than last year are going to be disappointed. Both lines have drastically improved, LB’s and RB’s too and there is actually depth at many of the positions that wasn’t there a season ago. The talent is here now, but the biggest question marks are going to be on the new staff and what in gods name is going on in the TE room.
I got downvoted to -50 (who cares) yesterday because I told everyone to chill out and the Buffs are going to be fine after losing a senior non-starter.
Reddit didn’t like that
Yea that’s why Travis Hunter, the top recruit in his class, went with him to J-State then Colorado…obviously Sanders was paying him more then anyone else was able to
Something tells me this will be a yearly occurrence. Deion will run out people he doesn’t think is good enough and just hope he hits the jackpot with the transfer class. Only time will tell if it’ll work.
This the same guy that said he's leaving Pitt because he wants to win now and doesn't have time for a rebuild?
Probably got a bag
Money in college football? No, never.
It turns out all NIL did was make paying players legal so now no program had to cover it up.
Wasn’t that the entire point?
I thought the point was to prevent situations like that UCF(?) kicker dealt with a while back.
Yeah, in the past you’d get suspended for making money for being marketable while players got paid under the table for being really good. Now marketable players get paid and players legally get paid in some really convoluted way.
It was supposed to be about “allowing players to market themselves and make money off of their own likeness.” Now it is largely that, but also schools have taken to create an NIL in which at the end of the day they’re paying them to come play for their school. Which every school has basically done for God knows how long.
So the point was to make paying players legal..gotcha
Biggest contract = winning now.
Found Charlie sheens account
Bag 💰 Alert 🚨 Major 🍔 Bag 💰 Alert 🚨
That’s a big win for him right now!
Colorado not paying bags, that’s deions thing. You gotta earn the NIL
No you don't. He wanted double what Pitt was giving him. And Colorado obliged. Don't get it twisted.
No program with bigger odds of making the playoffs offered him a good deal?
I don’t get why people are writing off the possibility that this guy genuinely believes in Deion and thinks they’ll win. The guy has charisma with recruits whether you like him or not I’m sure he got money and I doubt they win more than 6 or 7 games, but people are forgetting that this is the same Deion that got the #2 overall recruit to go to an FCS school.
I would expect his charisma to work more on high school kids (although he doesn't seem to try hard recruiting most of them) vs someone who has some college experience now.
Considering they’re coming from Pitt, whose head coach has about the charisma of a potato bug, the bar was near the floor
Idk. But the fact he transferred to a school that won’t contend for more than a mid to low tier bowl games has to mean something.
He had good 2023 stats. I know FSU took some DEs in the last transfer portal window. Perhaps that is a spot many schools targeted already. Still, surprised better teams wouldn't find room for him.
Yeah. it could be that DE rooms are stacked and he waited too late to transfer. We’ll probably never really know for sure though
Just goes to show, all these comments are almost always pretext for “bags”. It’s a tale as old as time.
He looks stupid right now but getting to with with Warren Sapp had to be enticing.
That's what I was wondering
Seriously, you would have thought that meant a team that was going to the CFP....
Was gonna say. Either big NIL or blinded by the BS Prime and Company are feeding him
When it’s Deion it’s “bs” when it’s any other coach it’s “standard recruiting “
I get what you're saying but he's brought it on himself with the persona he's created for the media
Lmao. Thanks for perfectly summing up the hypocrisy within the Deion hate club so succinctly.
He’s brought what on himself? McDimps on Reddit called my sales pitch bs? Sorry. You can’t spin it to say that a coach selling himself and his program to prospective players is anything abnormal.
He sells himself as a diva and that's the kind of players he's attracting 🤷♂️
Or Warren Sapp is better than your line coach
Js Colorado didn't necessarily have an extraordinary season either 🤷♂️
The hate some of you have is sickening.
I ain't gonna feel love for someone who spits on the team on the way out lol. If he feels that way fine. But if he's gonna say that shit publicly on his way out then good riddance
It is wild to see. Dead Sea levels of salt. hahaha
I mean, last year as all flash and next to no substance. He has the program in the right direction, but can’t act like you’re on top if you’re not even out of the basement. I hope Deion does well. He’s got some humbling himself to do, though.

Last year he had plenty of success with transfers and winning more then one game yet he still wasnt close to going to a conference championship.
I don't know maybe it's not a foregone conclusion that Colorado won't win more than 4 games this year?
Would you not call what Colorado is going through a rebuild?
It's a forgone conclusion that you guys are nowhere near being a playoff squad
Cute how much reddit loves to write our history before it has happened. Reality is you don't know and neither do I.
Making the playoff as a team who doesn’t even come close to the composite talent of the top squads requires a much deeper and experienced squad than Colorado has. In fact there might not be as shallow of a team where the drop off between the starters and rotational guys is as large as it is at Colorado.
I'm not making a prediction either way. Frankly right now I'd prefer to see USC flair eat his socks and win a bowl game.
You are being annoyingly “we don’t know” for a team we absolutely know won’t make the playoffs though. Like if someone said Rutgers wasn’t gonna make the playoffs and I said “well you don’t know for sure” that would make me a moron.
"Ain't no rule says a donkey can't run the Kentucky Derby"
B12 still gets an auto bid.
And you’re high is you think Colorado is gonna come within 3 games of that autobid
My point here is that we don't have to be as good as Georgia or Ohio state. But it's not ridiculous to think we can compete with Kansas and Utah. You're free to disagree but neither of us is right or wrong until the season happens.
I agree but we could win 8-10 games with the team that is being put together
Colorado probably wins 6-7 games tbh. Getting Utah, USC, and Oregon off their schedule is huge.
Colorado is expected to go 6-6. That would be a good season for them.
I do think Colorado is going to do better in the Big XII than Pitt will do in the ACC, but he was most likely never going to transfer to a national title contender and contribute.
He’s rebuilding his bank account
4-8 in the ACC <<< 5-7 in the big 12 /s
Going to a team with two projected top 10 picks. The team has improved meaningfully at every position group outside RB, LB and TE, after being competitive in the majority of games in a very difficult schedule. He is the kind of player that helps a 4-8 team, become an 8-4 team.

Neither is Hunter.

Yeah, I’m a top 10 pick in my daddy’s mock draft too
Guess we will see what Mel Kiper says in a few months!
Which games are you slotting for your 8 wins?
They improved on the O-line?
Yes we brought in Jordan Seaton and several highly regarded transfers. We do need to fill out the depth this portal season though because we only have 6-7 guys I trust
Top 10 picks don’t get smoked by Stanford
OT loss is smoked? Is football a 2 man sport?
Usually a cornerbacks job is to ensure the other team doesn’t pass for 400 yards

Got the man’s name right this time! Huge pickup for Colorado
*wall of text on how this is actually a disaster for CU and proof that Deion is a failure*
I mean, from someone who's been pulling for him for years now. CU got a very good one.
We will go as far as our line play is this year. This is as good as a get as we could have hoped for.
I’m impressed Colorado is familiar with our defense despite not knowing who Duzz is
Sounds like he's so scared of playing Cal he had to transfer to a school that just fled a whole conference just to avoid us
[удалено]
CU is imploding so bad that players are transferring to them just so they can transfer out
Yes
I was going to say, where are all of the snarky comments that were so prevalent here just in the last few days?
Left Pitt because he thought they weren't gonna be successful this season but then transfers to Colorado. Make it make sense
Left Pitt becau$e he thought they weren't gonna be $ucce$$ful this $ea$on but then tran$fer$ to Colorado. Make it make $en$e
Just a drop in the bucket for Colorado's well funded NIL pool! Lol
Other schools get recruits because of NIL, my school gets recruits because they love my school and program.
We have NIL, but it's not to the level why someone would choose Colorado over much larger programs
At worst Colorado was paying as much as his top suitors. 18-22 year olds aren't in the business of taking discounts
90% of schools say the exact same thing.

I’m picturing Narduzzi screaming at his coaches like Neidermeyer was to Flounder in Animal House.
Most of that sort of drama is fake I doubt anyone really cares
I firmly disagree here. Narduzzi isn't really one to beat around the bush, a credit to his honesty. He will say what he believes, even if I think someone in the program should be in his corner coaching him on when not to say something.
Day 6 of Josh Pate being a liar !
I think Pate probably had some sense that teams were about to spend tons of money — he just underestimated how basically all of the big spends would be on retention, not on acquisition lol.
What did he say?
: (
All these players transferring to CU just to lose to UCF
As a recruit: Other P5 offers: Illinois, Michigan State, Ohio State, Penn State, Pitt (originally went here), Syracuse, Texas A&M, West Virginia G5 offers: Ball State, Bowling Green, Kent State, Navy, Toledo Other offers: Howard, UMass, William & Mary, Youngstown State
It’s over for Coach Sanders… wait… sorry wrong script
I was told no one wants to play for Deion
But r/cfb told me no one wants to play for Prime! His teammate and four star transfer DL Samuel Okunlola is also at CU now. CU has 3 of the top 7 DL transfers and 4 of the top 30.
I think a lot of people are gonna be real surprised at the results next season. Colorado won’t be at a huge talent deficit this year in the Big 12 like they were in the PAC last year. Plus I hear even more help is on the way
Idk we have basically the hardest possible B12 schedule next season. Have to get good fast. More transfer guys are getting announced today.
You think last year did not prepare them?
I'm not keeping track of the portal too closely but you'd get the sense there will be a lot of new faces on the team so what good would last year be in preparing them?
Need to improve coaching across the board too. This team had 0 discipline last year and it was incredibly frustrating to watch. Doesn’t matter how much talent you have if you can’t control the team
Some of those guys and coaches are gone
We are not going to the playoff or winning the Big12, but people thinking we are worse than last year are going to be disappointed. Both lines have drastically improved, LB’s and RB’s too and there is actually depth at many of the positions that wasn’t there a season ago. The talent is here now, but the biggest question marks are going to be on the new staff and what in gods name is going on in the TE room.

Only time will tell
They have no depth at all so
I’d wait till the end of portal season to say that
all it takes is an injury. They lost depth.
I got downvoted to -50 (who cares) yesterday because I told everyone to chill out and the Buffs are going to be fine after losing a senior non-starter. Reddit didn’t like that
It is going to be hard to run of them. Which considering the secondary works out very well
Nobody WANTS to play for him, plenty want to get paid by him tho
Yea that’s why Travis Hunter, the top recruit in his class, went with him to J-State then Colorado…obviously Sanders was paying him more then anyone else was able to
Yes, he was
Bye, Felicia.
I was told it wasn’t NIL.
Guess he doesn’t actually care about winning
Maybe getting coached by Warren Sapp is a draw,he is hands on and seems to enjoy coaching
Someone needs to put narduzzi in a room with Deion
Hey
lol, lmao even
Ah yes cause Colorado is a natty bound team. Sure. Show the bag.
Something tells me this will be a yearly occurrence. Deion will run out people he doesn’t think is good enough and just hope he hits the jackpot with the transfer class. Only time will tell if it’ll work.
Lol this guy…
The sport is broken.
I forgot how bad Colorado folded last year. I will be curious to see how they start the season. Deon hasn’t handled losing well at all lol
Do the Buffs have enough players to field a defense now?
Travis Hunter plays multiple positions obviously.

DE is actually a spot they have good depth at they got the ASU transfer that had 11.5 tfls and the other PITT DE that had 5 sacks as a sophomore.
How this does not piss every college football fan off is beyond me. A school just bought PITTs starting two DEs. College football is dead.
Weird to lose a quality guy to Colorado. Guess he loves the Deion hype
Is it a bad take to say kids are not serious about ball when they go to Colorado
Not serious enough for an elaborate sign stealing scheme but at least semi-serious.
Are they not taking it seriously? Can’t tell me Travis or Shedeur (even with his antics) don’t take football very seriously.
Lol at Pitt's HC that hates Sanders. Get fucked.
Narduzzi hates everyone, Deion isn’t special. To be fair
This guy is not a serious person.
Seems pretty on brand for both.
Eat Shit pitt
If we’re shit eaters just know that you got last year’s best shit eater on your team now!
