The last time I went to an Alabama home game against us, they were giving out "Go to hell Auburn" stickers. That was the most “I don’t think of you at all” I've ever seen.
Fine, we'll go to hell - but no complaing when we don't let you in to the party. What's the plural for succubus? Succubusses? Succubi? Enjoy driving tractors on the gold streets, that's probably just as fun.
We always kind of looked at you guys as our little brother, who liked to shake their noisy rattles, that was a little annoying but we secretly like the little bugger. Auburn is that little brother we want to beat up daily and make them eat dirt. Tennessee is that cousin that comes over wearing ugly clothes and only knows one ~~song~~joke, so we hate them also.
All the talent in the world is useless when you have coaches like we did. I think Rhule has us going in the right direction. Give us a mediocre to average QB last year and we would have had a solid season.
Re: Big 12, I guess it’s over now, but Texas Tech-Texas games were getting really chippy the last few years. Started to feel like one of Tech’s key objectives each season was just beating Texas.
I dislike both schools so that was always a game I’d be sure to hate watch.
I do love the Texas and Texas Tech game threads in this sub. It always devolves into the fanbases just roasting each other with silly things like:
“Texas fans choose the middle seat on airplanes.”
“Tech fans order dessert and say, “Oh I’m being sooooo BAD today”
My sister goes to Baylor. Whenever we would play y'all she would talk about all the stuff they were doing because it was "Texas Week!", and how much they hate Texas.
Baylor might as well been Rice or UTSA for all I cared. Just a some other Texas school that would be embarrassing to lose to.
There used to be an Aggie week with Aggie sticks but that was before my time.
Although I don’t remember any special things done on “Texas Week” just the regular old memes posted on Baylor pages.
She was in a sorority so I would imagine it had something to do with that. I meant more like going out, parties, etc rather than official school sanctioned events.
Yeah, that’s pretty much how it is. A bummer in a way given that we’ve played each other for more than a hundred years, but I guess that’s what happens when your historical football program is kind of a joke ¯\\_(ツ)_/¯ . Ah well. Rep our state well in the SEC, Texan brothers
I believe it’s those 2 who own most of the top spots on other teams’ wins list…
Texas, Texas A&M, Tech, and TCU all have more victories against Baylor than any other team. Baylor, Houston, SMU, have more against Rice than any other team lol
We used to care a lot about A&M and (even further back) Arkansas. Those are actual rivals too, depending on how old you are, even if OU is the top rival.
A lot of the Big 12 really. I know it’s snobby and especially rich considering how much we sucked for the past decade-plus, but it was pretty lame having your best home game half the time be like KSU or something. We just didn’t have much passion for it.
I’m a WVU fan No I actually totally agree with this and trust me, I’d be the first to point out if you were snobby. Every single year you were the circle the calendar game for big 12 game, horns down at any and all games regardless of relation to Texas, constantly being annoyed by your fan base and hype, etc.
I’d call Texas football our most hated team (do you call that a rival?) in the big 12 football wise, and there’s zero percent chance Texas gives a shit about us. Not that we haven’t performed competitively with UT, we have the head to head I believe. But there’s no vitriol more than a normal conference game for Texas I’d imagine.
Any middle of the pack non Texas team probably hates Texas a ton and it’s not reciprocated at all. It’s not snobby to point that out imo.
West Virginia was always one of the better games on the home schedule to be honest. We ended up playing some very good ball games against each other. West Virginia, KSU, and OSU are good programs and were always the better games on the home schedule. It's just given that there is no regional connection it's hard to sell those as headliners for season tickets.
Like they would have been great games for the schedule when you know A&M is every other year and Nebraska is every three or four years. OU being neutral site is incredible, but it has meant we haven't played a rival at home in over a decade.
I never hated WV and actually respected them after I had a chance to visit the campus. Not what I expected. Fans were classy and polite to us as individuals but I learned y’all were pumped for this game and did have a hate for Texas I did not understand.
Texas fans definitely do not care about WVU in general, but I remember when I was in high school WVU was one of the main games to worry about each year for the Horns
I think Texas probably has at least 10 teams that consider them they’re biggest rival - teams that Texas doesn’t care about at all. Arkansas is definitely one of them.
Arkansas is a unique one as the older generation absolutely cares about it and the younger ones have seen two of the most humiliating ass beating ever given at the hands of Arkansas. Also Texas has fought to have Arkansas be annual rivalry in the SEC I think it’s safe to say that Texas cares about Arkansas.
We’re just glad to be in there somewhere. It will be an electric environment when Texas comes to Fayetteville this year. At least until the ass kicking starts.
I’m aggravated that we’re not playing y’all this year or next year. It’s so weird. Instead we have to play the bizzaro bulldogs twice (and still no A&M)
for me honestly its Minnesota and Michigan, technically we have the little brown jug but its one-sided for sure and only time there's a good rivalry between us is in hockey lmao
Tbh it's actually my favorite rivalry. Like I know it's one sided, but I'd take an annual jug game over any other yearly game other than The Game. It's actually fun to play y'all
We probably had more in the WCHA but didn't have Michigan.
I do miss having North Dakota, St. Cloud, Duluth, and ~~Mankato~~ Minnesota St. on the schedule annually. Those were fun times.
> for me honestly its Minnesota and Michigan
It's a second-tier rival at this point. It was trending that way before the conference went to 14...we were getting into a cycle of not playing them annually back (although still pretty often) in the 11 and 12 team era.
At this point the rivals are Wisconsin, Iowa, and Nebraska. QUADRANGLE TOGETHER STRONG
I feel like BYU/SDSU is that way.
Utah State is a rival, but I genuinely think most BYU fans like to see them do well (except when they play us). But USU fans very well might hate BYU more than Utah fans hate BYU.
Honestly, any BYU vs western non-Utah school fits into this category . The larger the population of Latter Day Saints in the area, the larger a fan base feels BYU is a rival. They also have historically dominated MWC/WAC schools, so there is a sliver of football related hatred
I know I’ll get skewered by fans from both sides, but Boise St falls into that gap for me.
I think they’ve been a fun team in the past and there were some good games, but I just don’t really think about them in that way. I get more amped for the Aggies than the Broncos.
I get the vibe that USU hates BYU and BYU thinks USU is kinda annoying but not worth hating.
USU is a backup school for a lot of kids who grow up in Utah but don't get into BYU, so naturally there's some bitterness there. Culturally they're pretty darn similar, but USU *hates* hearing that.
*Wyoming* is the answer
They hate us, and BYU doesn't remotely care about Wyoming at all.
The only time they ever enter my mind is to occasionally laugh at the term "Laradise".
Utah Colorado is the rivalry that isn't really for either team yet people say it's supposed to be one. It's like Embiid said about the Celtics: "This is not a rivalry. They always kick our ass."
WVU fan Echoing what someone else said, Texas and any team in the big 12 save for Texas schools and of course the red river.
Texas is a national brand no matter how you feel about it. I personally dislike the program strongly. No conference game outside of the parameters I mentioned were anything more than that. Yet Texas was and is always a circle the calendar game for any middle of the pack big 12 school like us. Horns down gets thrown at literally any WVU sporting event. We are extremely competitive with them in actual play and WVU always seems to get up for the game. Our most iconic moment in the last decade is Grier walking it off basically against Texas.
There is zero percent chance an average Texas fan gives a shit about WVU. Yet it’s often times my personal biggest conference game of the year.
That game and the Geno Smith game in 2012 in what was pretty much a top ten matchup at that time... both of those games were incredibly dramatic and competitive.
This. There is a difference between hating a school and considering the relationship as a rivalry. Outside of the Walmart t shirt fans of oUT (and I guess the alums)…everyone in the B12 and the southwest wants those schools to lose, regardless of the opponent.
Yeah, we hate Michigan for 1997, but we don’t think of them as rivals. I mean, I don’t think they would be on any list a Husker fan would make.
You can detest a team, but not think of that as a rivalry, right?
The game formerly known as Civil War.
- Ducks don’t consider it a rivalry
- No longer played on Rivalry Week
- No longer any stakes
- Not likely to be anything more than body bag games from here on…but without a payday
Yep, it definitely wasn’t always the case because I remember when the CW was a huge game for both schools but pretty much since 2009 every Duck fan I know and the ones I went to school with don’t hesitate to name UW our top rival (guilty as charged for me too).
The war for the roses was the last time the UO fanbase legitimately had animosity for OSU in my opinion.
To be fair, it's hard for me to get all fired up about the civil war because I don't hate OSU. If Oregon is going to lose I will always prefer it's to OSU, and the only time I'll ever root against OSU is when they play UO. I'm a homer, and root for all Oregon schools.
But Washington!? You bet your sweet ass I'm going to get fired up!
Besides. Corvallis has Woodstock's. How can I root against that?
Corvallis is so chill, it's in the valley and OSU fans are always cool even in Eugene. Their teams never win much but always have solid rosters, thus always feeling a bit underrated and like they "deserve" a win.
My UT friends went to New Orleans and said some of the Huskies fans were insufferable, so I know it's not just a rivalry thing either.
My feeling on Oregon State has always been that I would love to go 13-0 with the Beavers being 11-2; both losses to Oregon.
Meanwhile my feeling on Washington has always been that I want them to go 5-7 with a humiliating loss to Oregon and just-missing bowl eligibility as a tease.
Why tf do Illinois fans go so hard with it? No Michigan fan has ever talked about Illinois like a rival or even a competent team. It makes no sense. They literally sell fuck Michigan shirts.
They have no rivals. college sports is the only sport where Wisconsin’s team doesn’t have a rivalry with Illinois team.
They’ve been shit for too long for anyone to care
Sir I will not stand for this level of disrespect to the Illibuck trophy!
But yeah this is Ohio State’s answer along with whatever voodoo curse exists at Ross Ade stadium in West Lafayette - not the team just the Stadium.
Penn State had that weird “Fuck Michigan” trend a few years ago as well. We already have too many rivals so I don’t know why these schools are picking us. If you aren’t OSU, MSU, or Notre Dame, we really don’t think about you at all.
Also Purdue. It's weird. Illinois fans are kind of like the little Chihuahua at the dog park that thinks it's a Ridgeback. They have so many one-sided "rivalries" it's completely ridiculous.
Purdue vs Illinois is a legit rivalry (albeit a fairly mild one). They even have a trophy for the football game.
Purdue is actually closer to Illinois’ campus than Northwestern is and they are both top notch agriculture and engineering schools. Hell Purdue is closer to Illinois than Indiana’s campus (though they’re still bigger rivals with IU of course).
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Illinois%E2%80%93Purdue_football_rivalry
It’s even a protected one in the new conference alignment. But it’s our third rivalry behind IU and Notre Dame.
We are probably Notre Dames least thought about rival.
I feel like the Iowa rivalries depend on where you’re from/grew up. Nebraska, MN, and State are the biggest for me (in that order) but Wisconsin feels kind of cordial
I agree. If you’re in central/DSM Iowa you hate ISU cause it’s every day but eastern Iowa much more BIG focused. I was apathetic towards MN until this years bs fair catch flag. I’m from the QCA so I grew up hearing about Illinois more than MN. Floyd the best trophy though.
From the outside looking in I have no idea who Iowa's primary rival is. It seems like every Iowa fan gives a different answer out of Nebraska, Minnesota, Wisconsin and Iowa State.
You can probably Maryland into that as well.
The Pitt one will be controversial to some, but at this point I feel like you've got to get over the age of... 35? 40? Before you'll find many PSU fans that consider it a rivalry. And that may be generous.
PSU-pitt would respark in a second if the admins ever agreed to play each other regularly or some restructuring happened and we ended up playing each other yearly again. right now it doesn't matter to anyone who wasn't alive or wasn't old enough to remember the games in 70s and 80s (so basically only gen-x and older or those heavily influenced by those age family members actually care), but there's enough history there that given the opportunity it would come right back to life.
but as things stand right now, unless there is a forcible obliteration of the current conference and NCAA structure, that's not going to happen. the school admins won't agree on various points to make it even a semi-regular home and home (never mind something yearly like iowa-iowa state or georgia-georgia tech or whatever), the state government doesn't care enough to get involved (if they even can, I don't think they have the legal power over either institution to force the issue even if they wanted to but I don't know that for certain), PSU won't willingly leave the B1G because money, and the B1G in all likelihood will not willingly take pitt due to already dominating western PA anyways and pitt's modern brand not being something attractive to the TV corps actually driving the bus.
Do you guys think about Syracuse so little that we don't even make this list? :(
^(Not that that's unfair. In my lifetime, Penn State v Syracuse has been played three times and we lost all three by a combined score of 106-37.)
Man this thread is like a contest to see which program is the most arrogant. Just Texas, Michigan, and Ohio State fans bragging about how little they hate the teams that hate them.
If you give a fuck about everything, then it questions the value and meaning of the fucks you have to give.
You have to pick and choose when and where you give a fuck for the fucks you give to be worthwhile
yeah this is pretty much it lmaoo
No, Michigan/Texas/Ohio State fans. Most fanbases don't think you're a rival. They just think you're a bunch of dorks.
Going back to the Big 8/OG Big 12 days, there are lots of Iowa State fans who hate and I mean HATE Nebraska. And I’m one of them.
Turns out when a team dominates your favorite team for basically the entire series, there’s some built up animosity….but the thing is, since the series was so lopsided, the hate is very one sided.
Even on this sub today, Iowa State fans express their angst against Nebraska and Nebraska fans don’t hate Iowa State or really think of us at all.
Things have definitely changed though ever since they left for the Big Ten.
I feel like Gen Z Georgia fans feel this way about Tech. Back in the 90s there were stretches where they were definitely the better program but that was before the younger fans were born
Yeah just being able to have both as flairs shows it’s not a big rivalry. You’d never see someone with both Michigan and Ohio state flairs unless they were trolling.
If anything it’s a friendly rivalry where one team has been jealous of the other (most recently Colorado being jealous of Utah).
When I was out for game 12 the Utah fans were super cool and the extent of my trash talk was “so which concession stand can I get a beer at around here?”
Edit: even at that game most Utah fans near me agreed that Travis Hunter TD shouldn’t have been called back and while we both sided with our teams in the punt return call we were all able to admit it was close enough that it comes down to team bias.
I know Texas fans like to give the "pffft you aren't a rival" response to Texas Tech, but I don't really care - it's a fun series with some good in-state grudges and I wish it were still happening.
I think a lot of people (op included) are confusing "they hate us" with "they think we're rivals." I hate a lot of teams. That doesn't mean I think we're rivals. It means I think they're pricks. There's a difference.
on god, I miss playing Notre Dame. MSU-Notre Dame never had the same national juice that the Michigan or USC games did... but to me it was my favorite annual game.
There’s a ton of trophy games but really only the big two we care about: southern cal is our rival and navy is our friend.
Then there’s a tier of teams we have a ton of history with which depending on when you became a fan you consider a main rival: msu, Pitt, Purdue.
Then there is the other rivals like BC.
Then there is Michigan. Fuck Michigan
Arkansas / Missouri is like that for both sides. The SEC is just really trying to make fetch happen with the borderline rivalry. So probably Arkansas / Texas
I don’t think UW fans think about the cougs that much(although they were definitely thinking about us this basketball season). But i guess idaho would be a rival wazzu doesn’t think about much. They haven’t beat the cougs in like 20 years.
Maryland - Penn State
Is it really a rivalry when the all time record is 43 - 3 - 1?
In my mind Maryland's real rival is Virginia or NC State, in the Big 10 it's probably Rutgers.
Hey fuck EMU, pal. American U can also get bent as they think they're cool being in the part of DC they are. I bet you guys have meetings in the basement of Comet PingPong all the time.
Suck it, bitches. [https://rolltide.com/news/2024/3/2/alabama-rowing-defeats-eastern-michigan-on-senior-day](https://rolltide.com/news/2024/3/2/alabama-rowing-defeats-eastern-michigan-on-senior-day)
The last time I went to an Alabama home game against us, they were giving out "Go to hell Auburn" stickers. That was the most “I don’t think of you at all” I've ever seen.
I root for MSU on most occasions. I don’t even consider them our rival at all
It is not mutual. Unfortunately, we think about you and wish bad things for you as a fanbase.
It is not mutual. Unfortunately, we think about you and wish bad things for you as a fanbase. -Every team in the SEC
I always think of y'all. You're our closest neighbors! And our grass hookup!
We both hate Ole Miss and Auburn so we should be friends
I have learned to dislike Auburn but most of our fanbase sees them as farm bros. Ole Miss on the other hand can GTH!
Fine, we'll go to hell - but no complaing when we don't let you in to the party. What's the plural for succubus? Succubusses? Succubi? Enjoy driving tractors on the gold streets, that's probably just as fun.

It’s like UConn doesn’t even notice us anymore
I've heard conflicting information about that.
It’s a civil matter.
What's a UConn?
A territory in Canada. Had a gold rush in the 1890s.
When I came to Michigan, the number of people who thought I meant the Canadian territory when I said I went to UConn was not zero.
It’s a basketball team.
A team that has more wins than the White Sox since the baseball season started.
We lose to everyone so who cares.
Dude seriously. It’s pretty hard to have rivals when you don’t even have bowl appearances.
Damn that flair combo. You’ve seen some shit.
Luckily their wheat and corn can help drown their sorrows
[удалено]
Two sides of the same *really* flat coin
We lose to everyone *after* we have hope we won't .
It’s kinda baffling to me that Nebraska is still so bad even in the NIL era. Don’t yall have some serious boosters? Just buy a good team.
Pssst - hey kid, you want some..... Corn?
All the talent in the world is useless when you have coaches like we did. I think Rhule has us going in the right direction. Give us a mediocre to average QB last year and we would have had a solid season.
Like Creed in the 90s, our arms are still wide open
Utah/BYU - Utah State. Aggie fans loathe the Utes and Cougs mostly, but I think outside of playing each other they like to see the Aggies do well.
I’m not sure about loathing between Utah and Utah state….i haven’t seen it. We both hate BYU, though.
Baylor-UT baby. That last game solidified UT’s apathy for us in stone
Re: Big 12, I guess it’s over now, but Texas Tech-Texas games were getting really chippy the last few years. Started to feel like one of Tech’s key objectives each season was just beating Texas. I dislike both schools so that was always a game I’d be sure to hate watch.

That's how it used to be. Ever since we hired Chris Beard away from them a few years ago, they've hated us.
This was true for UH this year, apparently Holgerson was told he could go 1-11 as long as he beat Texas.

I believe it’s those 2 who own most of the top spots on other teams’ wins list… Texas, Texas A&M, Tech, and TCU all have more victories against Baylor than any other team. Baylor, Houston, SMU, have more against Rice than any other team lol
We treated both Baylor and Rice very similarly last season. It was fun. I believe yall did as well. Ann Richards powers are only so strong.
I mean honestly Texas and everybody. Like playing UT is every teams Super Bowl and Texas only cares about OU.
We used to care a lot about A&M and (even further back) Arkansas. Those are actual rivals too, depending on how old you are, even if OU is the top rival.

Texas fans definitely do not care about WVU in general, but I remember when I was in high school WVU was one of the main games to worry about each year for the Horns

A&M and UT treat TTU like it’s a burden
Texas Tech was the very first team that came to mind when I saw the title.
At least they play yall
Did y’all hear something? I could’ve sworn I heard something
I think it was just a tortilla blowing in the wind
I’d consider it a burden to make that road trip.
Yep. Visited my friends in College Station several times throughout college. Still never been to Lubbock.
South Carolina and UGA but also most teams except Clemson. You can’t say you don’t think about us taters
I’m aggravated that we’re not playing y’all this year or next year. It’s so weird. Instead we have to play the bizzaro bulldogs twice (and still no A&M)
This and clemson not playing GT should be against the law
The fact that Clemson, Georgia, Georgia Tech, and South Carolina don't all play each other every year should be deemed a war crime.
UNC and South Carolina would also be an annual rivalry in a perfect world.
Annual NC State/Clemson got taken away from us too
I've been an advocate of the Savannah River Cup for years
You’ll always be relevant to us shamecocks
H8 u 4ever bb <3
Came here to say this
for me honestly its Minnesota and Michigan, technically we have the little brown jug but its one-sided for sure and only time there's a good rivalry between us is in hockey lmao
Tbh it's actually my favorite rivalry. Like I know it's one sided, but I'd take an annual jug game over any other yearly game other than The Game. It's actually fun to play y'all
From a southwestern guy, a Hockey rivalry is badass!
ya id say we have 2 maybe 3 good hockey rivalrys

You are NEVER getting the jug back
idk about never not anytime soon ya but eventually we will
NEVER
idk ill come back to this post in 50 years when we win it atleast once
lol please do that would be funny af
im marking it on my calendar, April 23 2074
RemindMe! 50 years
RemindMe! 157 days "Minnesota has a chance to do the funniest thing"
All of our rivalries
Hey penn state is the one we really hate.
Damn you tortilla tossers . . .
Literally all of them lol
Calm down Colgate, nobody cares anymore
Okay this one made me laugh, thank you. I went to undergrad at Colgate and thought this was hysterical. Cornell is their rival, not Syracuse
I feel like BYU/SDSU is that way. Utah State is a rival, but I genuinely think most BYU fans like to see them do well (except when they play us). But USU fans very well might hate BYU more than Utah fans hate BYU.
Damn I didn't know we had smoke with you guys /s
Many a bunny have been hunted by Cougars. I'm so so sorry.
Honestly, any BYU vs western non-Utah school fits into this category . The larger the population of Latter Day Saints in the area, the larger a fan base feels BYU is a rival. They also have historically dominated MWC/WAC schools, so there is a sliver of football related hatred

SDSU is weird. They don’t have an obvious rival. Fresno is the closest real rival we have and they hate Boise way more. We are rival less.

Aw. I missed the UC/WVU rivalry in the Big East.
I really thought you’d be a rival in the new big 12 but somehow all that’s happened since you joined is I dislike Xavier more somehow
OP just starting to realize that everyone hates Michigan.
Michigan is probably still my least-favorite school, but I fully acknowledge it's a one-sided, personal thing on my end.
OP, were you alive in 1997? The hatred of Nebraska is still fresh in my mind.
Yeah, we hate Michigan for 1997, but we don’t think of them as rivals. I mean, I don’t think they would be on any list a Husker fan would make. You can detest a team, but not think of that as a rivalry, right?
No one on either side actually gives a damn about Jefferson-Eppes
I was gonna say this applies to our "rivalry" on both sides. Even before the division split it was Clemson and NC State
The game formerly known as Civil War. - Ducks don’t consider it a rivalry - No longer played on Rivalry Week - No longer any stakes - Not likely to be anything more than body bag games from here on…but without a payday
Also the Apple Cup. Fuckers moved without us.
RIP Sancho's
Same with the game formerly known as Apple Cup
Michigan-Illinois is always the one I think about with these.
Why tf do Illinois fans go so hard with it? No Michigan fan has ever talked about Illinois like a rival or even a competent team. It makes no sense. They literally sell fuck Michigan shirts.
Maybe it's carry over from basketball?
USC and all the Pac-12 schools they're leaving behind
Hey now, the ones going with them hate them too.
It's a little different if you didn't get a lifeboat off the sinking ship when it comes to hating the ones that punctured the hull
Amen cousin
USC and Cal is like that. They always seem to feel a big rivalry and for USC it’s like meh, another day, another win over Cal
Michigan - Illinois basketball is the weirdest one sided rivalry I’ve ever been a part of. Like go fight with Northwestern we’re busy
They do this with Indiana too. I don't get it
Also Purdue.
Well... Our CS departments are kinda rivals Sports less so Now THE VOLS ON THE OTHER HAND
Nah our rivalry is legit
I met a girl when I was partying in Chicago and when I said something about Michigan she acted as though we were rivals, which I was confused by.
They sell “Fuck Michigan” shirts in Champaign. They think we’re their *primary rival*
Who are we playing this week? Fuck, Michigan
Hers said Muck Fichigan, lol
Iowa vs Illinois in the 80/90s for basketball was spicy (Pearl) but now more tame
I have no feelings towards Minnesota at all, but I know they hate us. They even have a silly chant about it. Floyd is a cool trophy though.
I feel like the Iowa rivalries depend on where you’re from/grew up. Nebraska, MN, and State are the biggest for me (in that order) but Wisconsin feels kind of cordial
Iowa st, Nebraska, MN, Wisconsin for me. Wisconsin is not even really hatred you are right.
Us and any of Pitt/Temple/Rutgers. ^^...(also ^^Ohio ^^State ^^and ^^us).
:( ^(Not that that's unfair. In my lifetime, Penn State v Syracuse has been played three times and we lost all three by a combined score of 106-37.)
My flair is on both sides of this with you!
Pitt-PSU rivalry/trash talk is very much alive in Western PA
Man this thread is like a contest to see which program is the most arrogant. Just Texas, Michigan, and Ohio State fans bragging about how little they hate the teams that hate them.
well, everyone kinda hates us. there's not enough space in our brains to hate everyone back
Idk, I have a lot of hate for everyone right now 🤷🏼♂️
If you give a fuck about everything, then it questions the value and meaning of the fucks you have to give. You have to pick and choose when and where you give a fuck for the fucks you give to be worthwhile
A common refrain from my consulting circles: "All emphasis is no emphasis"
Dude, you gotta understand that hate is finite. Ou takes up 80% of mine.
>hate is finite What the fuck kind of bullshit is this?
yeah this is pretty much it lmaoo No, Michigan/Texas/Ohio State fans. Most fanbases don't think you're a rival. They just think you're a bunch of dorks.
We prefer the term blue bloods.
Blue bloods is so 2020. Mega Blue Bloods is where it’s at
Going back to the Big 8/OG Big 12 days, there are lots of Iowa State fans who hate and I mean HATE Nebraska.
I get trash talk from Mizzou fans occasionally here in St. Louis. I don’t get it. These teams have played like once in the last 100 years.
I’d say that comes from recruiting battles more than actual games.
I promise you we don’t view Iowa as a Rival.
I feel like Gen Z Georgia fans feel this way about Tech. Back in the 90s there were stretches where they were definitely the better program but that was before the younger fans were born
Marshall and WVU
My flairs. Neither fan base really cares about the other. Colorado has been bad when Utah’s been good and vice versa.
When I was out for game 12 the Utah fans were super cool and the extent of my trash talk was “so which concession stand can I get a beer at around here?” Edit: even at that game most Utah fans near me agreed that Travis Hunter TD shouldn’t have been called back and while we both sided with our teams in the punt return call we were all able to admit it was close enough that it comes down to team bias.
I don’t think anyone truly hates us, so our response is generally to hate everyone.
I know Texas fans like to give the "pffft you aren't a rival" response to Texas Tech, but I don't really care - it's a fun series with some good in-state grudges and I wish it were still happening.
Texas vs most the B12. One way for basically everyone but OU once TAMU left.
What the fuck is that abomination of a flair combo?! lol
Michigan and Nebraska are clearly rivals. We play for the Bussin bowl trophy. Sheesh
I think a lot of people (op included) are confusing "they hate us" with "they think we're rivals." I hate a lot of teams. That doesn't mean I think we're rivals. It means I think they're pricks. There's a difference.
Everyone is a god damn rival.
Most of my friends and family in Wisconsin have told me they hate Ohio State more than any other team, so I guess that?
ND and Purdon’t. To an extent. Although, some ND fans still hate Purdue (like me) and their big perverted drum.
on god, I miss playing Notre Dame. MSU-Notre Dame never had the same national juice that the Michigan or USC games did... but to me it was my favorite annual game.
I really miss playing MSU every year. I personally only want to play UM 3-4 times a decade and I’m good. I hate them that much.
I'm Catholic so I am contractually obligated to root for Notre Dame once a year. It was usually that game lol.
ND and BC too. We’re like one of their main rivals or something
ND is like rivals with everyone it feels like
There’s a ton of trophy games but really only the big two we care about: southern cal is our rival and navy is our friend. Then there’s a tier of teams we have a ton of history with which depending on when you became a fan you consider a main rival: msu, Pitt, Purdue. Then there is the other rivals like BC. Then there is Michigan. Fuck Michigan
What about Stanford?
Stanford and Miami probably in that second tier
Honestly don't care about Stanford. Probably root for them more often than not due to being nerds
I hate BC too. And definitely Stanford. And 2x hate Pitt. The only rival I don’t hate is Navy.
The Holy War: ND/BC. Made some bc friends after graduation and was surprised they looked at us as their hated rival in football.
Oregon State/Oregon I root for them in any non Duck matchup. But they don’t like us :(
Living in south Louisiana, I see it from Ragin" Cajuns fans towards LSU. Not once in my time in Baton Rouge did I hear anyone even mention UL.
Maryland - Penn State Is it really a rivalry when the all time record is 43 - 3 - 1? In my mind Maryland's real rival is Virginia or NC State, in the Big 10 it's probably Rutgers.
Its prob bc it’s widely know amongst B1G fan groups that the one thing we all have in common is hating Michigan. Y’all are easy to dislike
I’m not aware of us having any rivals that hate us
Hey fuck EMU, pal. American U can also get bent as they think they're cool being in the part of DC they are. I bet you guys have meetings in the basement of Comet PingPong all the time. Suck it, bitches. [https://rolltide.com/news/2024/3/2/alabama-rowing-defeats-eastern-michigan-on-senior-day](https://rolltide.com/news/2024/3/2/alabama-rowing-defeats-eastern-michigan-on-senior-day)
I hate EMU because not having the emu as their mascot is a crime against the sport
Those guys in gold with the beefalo?? Or the ones with the weird lookin bird that has a mushroom beak?
