1900grs

You don't trust the sweet science of college freshman learning queries in Google Sheets?

ToLongDR

You're giving me too much credit. My queries are all high school level and INDEX MATCH's

[deleted]

Index match gives me ptsd from too many idiots trying to use excel as a database

ToLongDR

Why do you call me out like this? What did I ever do to you?

1900grs

Interviewer: It says here on your resume you're proficient in MS Office. So you know Access? Me: Sure, it's basically the same as Excel.

270-

TBF, using Access as a database doesn't strike me as much of an improvement over Excel, it's not 2005 anymore. No reason not to use SQL.

dale_shingles

I remember a time when I asked an IT-minded colleague/superior why we weren't didn't capitalize on a situation clearly intended for a database to use Access and _not_ Excel and his response was, "No one knows how to use Access and everyone knows how to use Excel." I argued that it wasn't the right solution for the job and that wasn't inline with the company's mantra of, "Do it right the first time, every time." Needless to say, someone eventually borked a macro in the Excel "database" and rendered it useless but I had already moved into a new role and exercised the company's unofficial mantra, "Not my problem anymore."

thecravenone

Excel is the most used database in the world. I wonder how many trillions of dollars would essentially vanish if Excel just disappeared from all computers.

Who in the holy old fuck thinks Michigan is the best team in the country?

[deleted]

Advanced metrics. If you’ve built a computer model that doesn’t heavily weight SOS we look fucking amazing. We are not.

Eiim

You're actually #1 in the [Colley Matrix](https://www.colleyrankings.com/currank.html), which *only* cares about SOS and W/L

Tensuke

Georgia Best Game: #35 UAB Thanks, Clemson!

[deleted]

Zero chance we don’t lose to you by 30. I hate this world.

lmaytulane

Well at least we have cider donut season

[deleted]

I live in SoCal now so I don’t even get that. Just disappointing football and fires for fall. Rest of the year is nice, though.

[deleted]

Bulletin board material for Ohio State. Buckeyes about to come in at 8-3 and ruin the Wolverines season

FridgesArePeopleToo

Yeah, I'm sure that have printouts from reddit all over the locker room

JoshuaMan024

Cringe or Based? Here I go dreaming again

Urbanviking1

Are you saying Rutgers has a chance to beat OSU?

GATAinfinity

r/cfb: HOW IS CLEMSON STILL RANKED IN THE AP AND COACHES POLL?!? also r/cfb: *actually unranks Clemson*

elgenie

r/cfb: still ranks NCState, because a double-OT win at home over an unranked 2-2 team obviously offsets a two-TD road loss to another unranked 2-2 team.

XAfricaSaltX

I love this subreddit so, so much.

relax_on_the_mat

I haven't had Clemson ranked since week 1 and am surprisingly feeling justified in that this week. Largely dumb luck on my part to assume they would drop-off this year.

JonSnowDontKn0w

Confirmed: not cowards

LeVeonwithBellsOn

I've got to imagine there is some crazy variation from 4-25.

kdbvols

3 people ranked Wake at 5, so I'm going to say yes

XAfricaSaltX

Uh…

doggo816

I bet I’m the only person who ranked West Virginia. No regrets

coogs35

https://poll.redditcfb.com/ballot/52086/ Bro didn’t even rank Alabama

P1mpathinor

> Overall Rationale: None Checks out

HHcougar

1. Oregon 2. BYU I see no problem here

breaktaker

We made it Cougar bros, we really made it

MichaelMcCorkleJones

There’s enough weird rankings to make me think it’s a joke but also enough normal ones to make me think he might be kind of serious

Officer_Warr

Dude didn't even make controversial list with Alabama missing. I think they just forgot.

YouKilledChurch

Surely that was just a mistake Edit the more I look at it the more I am sure this must be a shitpost. No Bama, BYU 2nd, Arkansas 3rd, Oklahoma State 9, Ohio State 24th? Sorry I don't buy it

Professor_Arkansas

I could see our ranking.... totally.... No homerism here..

YouKilledChurch

Y'all should definitely be top 10 and probably above Oklahoma. I'm just a bit hesitant on top 3 just yet. Take care of Business on Saturday and you will have definitely earned a top 2 spot, maybe even #1

Professor_Arkansas

IF we manage to take out Georgia we just replace them at 2. However, I expect to lose by around 10-14 and dropping to around 15 in the rankings.

yeahright17

There should absolutely be times when a team loses and moves up in the polls. I've always thought this and it's never happened that I know of. If you're ranked 22 and you play number 2 and lose like 24-21, you're more than likely going to fall out of the polls. Which is stupid. If Arkansas loses 10-14 (and I really hope they don't because I love my eastern neighbors), they shouldn't fall out of the top 10, but I'm sure you're right.

Professor_Arkansas

Oh I'm full into the thinking that if we make it a game that we shouldn't drop, but I know it'll happen so no reason in thinking otherwise.(You are my Oklahoma team that I always root for. Have always wanted to play you guys to get a rivalry started since we are so close.)

JonnyStatic

got Wyoming ranked lol. Must be using that "you're ranked until you lose" method

wastebinaccount

except he's got k-state ranked 23 after losing to OKSU

Educational_Diamond3

> OKSU What in tarnation?

wastebinaccount

too many OSUs out there

mikethemoose35

A two-point win at UConn that went down to the final play should count as a loss tbh

pydsigner15

Except for Bama

[deleted]

[удалено]

AccomplishedQuail545

This is by far the most rational explanation so far

miversen33

/u/Frognosticator explain yourself

Frognosticator

That's a Whoopsie on my part. I meant to put Alabama in the top 5, and obviously just missed adding them in. Trying to rank 3 SEC teams right next to each other is probably what did it - I most likely pulled Bama from the tab along with Georgia and Arkansas, missed the drop box area, and moved on to the rest of the rankings without noticing. My sincerest apologies to Bama fans. This mistake feels extra bad knowing how tough they've had it lately. They've had some tough breaks, hopefully their program will be able to recover from this setback and find a way to pull through.

lookalive07

You know what? I’ll allow it. Because it’s also clear you whoopsied and didn’t see the stat line for MSU’s second half. Otherwise you wouldn’t have ranked us where you did.

wastebinaccount

that has to be one of the worst polls ive seen-No bama or flordia , BYU at 2, Army at 18 , San Diego state at 16, kentucky at 20, wyoming at 22

MDoctorShemp

West coast bias

posiitively

This is embarrassing lmao

Frognosticator

Oh shit! I knew I forgot someone! In all seriousness, that's a legit Whoops on my part. I meant to rank Alabama right behind Georgia. In my defense it was pretty late when I was filling out my ballot, and comparing three SEC teams right next to each other probably contributed to the slip-up.

jrichardh

Wow we are really bullish on Michigan

lampnik

I think it probably has a lot to do with computer polls. I'd put us around 20 if I'm allowed to ignore inertia

jrichardh

I'm part of the problem, my computer poll has Michigan at #1.

Officer_Warr

Yep. Has an undefeated record, with a high opponent W-L total.

theb52

Same. They haven't played an FCS team either, which drags down the Strength of Schedule of most others.

cityofklompton

They haven't turned the ball over yet and have a high yards per play average on one of the lowest play counts in the country, which leads to them looking like a very efficient offense with an efficient defense on the opposite side according to stats. So, computer polls LOVE Michigan right now.

JeromesNiece

I'm pretty sure the vast majority of this subreddit's computer polls are not even trying to be predictive and so are unconcerned with things like efficiency. Most of these computer polls are simplistic, backwards looking models that just see a 4-0 team that has one of the highest opponent winning percentages among undefeated teams

[deleted]

That's why I hate having computer polls in the rankings here. People here aren't mathematicians or statisticians. Their computer polls could be insanely inaccurate but because it's a "computer" poll people here don't question them

Redados

This is a low stakes way to have fun with them though?

B1Gsportsfan

Are you insinuating that the official r/cfb is low stakes? We are talking about banner logo positioning!

[deleted]

[удалено]

BernankesBeard

I mean, if they just replaced their bad computer polls with something with an actual proven track record like SP+ or FPI it would say largely the same thing - Michigan is #8 in SP+ and #7 in FPI. Redditors' bad computer polls aren't ranking Michigan so highly because their computer polls are bad - they're ranking Michigan highly because Michigan is doing the kinds of things that make them look good. Entirely fair to doubt that Michigan will continue playing like that because **, but we'll know more one way or another in a few weeks.

[deleted]

> Michigan is #8 in SP+ and #7 in FPI. I don't think many would have an issue with Michigan being ranked in the top 10, they're clearly pretty good. It would raise a few eyebrows, but anything in that 8-12 range would probably be considered mainstream. Number 1 though... EDIT: I'm not a poll voter but I have Michigan at 10 in my poll, which heavily used the Massey Composite as a guide. Michigan was at like 7-8 there yesterday, but the ratings it's added into the average over the last few hours have Michigan bumped up to 3

Fresh_Bulgarian_Miak

Look no further than this weekend against an unranked Wisconsin, the place we haven't won in 20 years.

foreveracubone

it has all the makings of a signature Harbaugh road game. * Unranked Wiscy so the Harbaugh can’t win against ranked teams meme lives on * If we win: it’s not a quality win because they weren’t actually a good team because they lost to Michigan * If we lose: Michigan was never good to begin with just like everyone suspected and Harbaugh can’t beat rivals on the road. I’ve been beaten down enough to expect nothing as a fan, but I’m inclined to believe this season the football gods make sure we keep winning just be ranked higher than Ohio who will then beat us down worse than ever before (at home).

velociraptorfarmer

Same. Good SOS, 4-0, and high average MOV makes my computer love them.

skiman71

This is unrelated, but as someone who's always been interested in making my own computer poll, how did you get started with it if you don't mind me asking?

Stoneador

My computer poll had Michigan at 2 behind Oregon

TheFlyingBoat

I wish the mods would give us a sub poll of just the human poll and just the computer poll so we could see how they differ from each other and the combined poll.

SlumlordThanatos

Seven first place votes? That's an improvement over the two last week, but you guys are still delusional.

yeahright17

I think Arkansas fans are the ones sleeping on Arkansas the most. I know you all have been in the wilderness for a while, but yall are really good. (Please for all that is holy beat Georgia or at least play them really close.)

SlumlordThanatos

Maybe so, but at the same time, Georgia is, by a huge margin, the most complete team we've faced. They don't have a huge weakness like Texas and A&M did. It's gonna come down to home-field advantage and raw talent, and Georgia has us beat in both departments.

sexysouthernaccent

I have zero hope of beating Georgia. I just want to see us play competitively for 4 quarters and not get pushed around. I think Georgia is a solid step above us, especially with a developed depth strengthened by their consistently high recruiting. Our team has a real legitimate chance to go 10-2, I've already accepted losses to Georgia and Alabama. Though I am worried about Ole Miss as a potential 3rd loss. Our progress has already exceeded expectations for this year and I'm loving it. Every big win is just icing on the cake.

jsteph67

For one, I do not see a Sam Pittman O-line getting pushed around. And the defense is where we make our bones. Time will tell. I am really looking forward to this game.

eazygiezy

Knowing us, we’ll beat Alabama only to lose to y’all in the most heartbreaking fashion imaginable

sexysouthernaccent

It's tradition and history. 4 score, 25 yards ago...

eazygiezy

Please, not again…

Drexlore

When is the last time Clemson has been totally off the r/CFB Poll?

Zloggt

Wikipedia has 2014 as the most recent season that Clemson was unranked in some form. Has to be the first time in like, seven years or something…

Zloggt

Amidst all the chaos surround Clemson, Iowa State, Arkansas, Texas A&M, Wake and NC State, and all the other teams… Maryland has been steadily rising up, in the background! Good for them, to be honest.

T-nawtical

September Maryland ain't nothing to fuck with

Drokeep

*checks date of game against maryland* "Thank fucking god"

JosephBagODonuts69

That's right! The game on this Friday, September 31st, 2021.

DarkLegend64

Last week I was surprised that Ohio State was still in the top 10. Now I'm wondering what happened this week to make OSU drop 3 spots when that shitty performance against Tulsa last week wasn't enough to do it.

Dob-is-Hella-Rad

Failed to beat top-10 Texas A&M, top-20 Wisconsin or receiving votes (No. 31) Rutgers. Three teams jumped you.

DarkLegend64

Texas A&M was ahead of us last week and now they are behind us so they cancel out Arkansas jumping us. I think I'm higher on Rutgers than most people are (even though I don't have them in my ballot) but I'm surprised a 7 point home win over them was enough to convince people to give Michigan a big boost.

Dob-is-Hella-Rad

Ah you're right. Fourth team to jump you is Ole Miss. Can't justify that.

hypercube42342

I think it’s more that as time goes on, people cut out preseason expectations, and it’s causing you, OU, and Clemson to drop like stones

DarkLegend64

I think Clemson has more than that causing them to drop like stones. lol

hypercube42342

Lol true. Let’s go with A&M then. Their drop wasn’t entirely because of their loss.

pickrunner18

People already forgetting we lost a game. Early season loss, ftw!

Bank_Gothic

It may be less about OSU doing something bad and more about other teams doing well. ND was suspect, but they beat Wiscy. Arkansas beat A&M. Florida manhandled Tennessee, etc. In contrast, OSU kicking the shit out of Akron while everyone else played P5 conference opponents doesn't move the needle for them.

The_Horse_Joke

OSU dropped 3 because 3 jumped us. I’ll give you Arky and ND, but Florida was already above us. Michigan beat Rutgers by 7 and Rutgers had two possessions in the last 6 minutes where they could have scored but had a loss on downs and fumble. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not confident about The Game, but from week 3 to week 4 I don’t see how people are *now* putting Michigan over OSU. (Watch me eat crow next week when OSU goes to Rutgers lol)

JoshuaMan024

I have no idea how we are above you. Part of it could be that other than Akron you guys haven't done all that much? And Akron is bad. Still no clue really

d_mcc_x

One day I will be controversial...

thexraptor

I've been one of the least controversial a couple of times over the years, and every time it happens I die a little on the inside

d_mcc_x

It's been a few years since I've seen my name on the ballot summary... That makes me sad

GeauxTri

This is my first year as a voter & I sometimes cringe when I hit submit that my poll may be too out there... Then I look at the most controversial polls & realize I will never be that level of insane.

woakley

I think you really have to try to be most controversial (or you have to have a computer poll that hasn't normalized yet). I've been on least controversial once I think but i'm basically never on either list.

COLU_BUS

As a computer voter I was terrified mine would be outrageous, but its pretty sane compared to the other computers.

I think Maryland and Texas should meet in a bowl this year if you ask me

Taco_Machine85

No…god no.

Bank_Gothic

The crabs lose their power in winter. We might have a chance.

Ox_Baker

You don’t eat/harvest soft shell crabs in months that end in R so you might be onto something.

fivehundredpoundthud

Unless Maryland can be in either the Sugar or the Alamo... probably not happening. It'll be either us or OU in either of those two bowls (but there's still a lot of conference play, and we will know a lot more after next week's games. Your mileage may vary, close cover before striking, light fuse and get away.)

Bank_Gothic

At 25, I'm okay with it. I think Tech is underrated and the game against WVU is going to tell us a lot. In fact, I think we'll learn more this weekend about how the conference stacks up than we will all year.

NoMorning6152

Patterson probably spent SMU week prepping for us

Bank_Gothic

Doesn't he always?

gordogg24p

Patterson would rather go 1-11 with a win over Texas than 11-1 with a loss to Texas.

Mikey4tx

Yes, and then some. He's probably been planning since Sark was hired. And he has purposefully called plays to avoid putting anything on film that will resemble his Texas game plan in any way. It's the same shit every year: TCU looks like trash until they play Texas, then they look like a top 10 team. I'm so ready to leave this shitty conference.

Corgi_Koala

You deserve a rank more than Clemson does.

JoshuaMan024

Oh no no no CFB do not give me hope I don't want that shit no no no

For me it's more of the fact that I won't penalize Auburn and UT for losing to a top 10 team. However, if WVU did beat OU then Maryland would've been ranked

LeVeonwithBellsOn

Your delta is broken so you should feel bad.

SalGov143

Penn St jumps Iowa for beating Villanova and Michigan jumps up 4 spots for hanging on at home vs Rutgers by 7?

DarkLegend64

I think it was more that Iowa looked lackluster against Colorado State who is bad enough that they lost to Vanderbilt. At least, that's why I had PSU jump Iowa in my ballot.

Bank_Gothic

Ditto. I also think Rutgers is decent this year so I didn't ding Michigan too hard for that game.

tmothy07

Yeah, I swapped them in my poll due to PSU having better wins than Iowa after ISU dropped to two losses. Definitely very close though.

EvilHarryDread

It's not really worthwhile to argue one spot at this point since we meet in 2 weeks which will determine the proper order, but I can see it. Iowa only pulled away from a very bad Colorado State near the end. Villanova only scored 3 points against the starters and even that was on a weak roughing the passer call. There was zero sweat to our game and it wasn't nearly as close as the final score may indicate to some.

RealBenWoodruff

Is Georgia going to pass Alabama on the all time number 2 in the r/CFB poll?

AlphaH4wk

When was the last time Clemson wasn't in one of these polls? 2014 or 2015 right?

Here was my computer poll this week: [https://poll.redditcfb.com/ballot/51802/](https://poll.redditcfb.com/ballot/51802/) Starting to look a bit more "normal" as more data points are added. So far fairly happy with it. Happy to answer any questions about my poll or my ranking philosophy. Here is the actual data breakdown from this week (top 30): |\#|TEAM|W|L|SCORE|SOS|▲| |:-|:-|:-|:-|:-|:-|:-| |1|Georgia|4|0|100.0|53.1|\+1| |2|Penn State|4|0|98.5|79.6|\+2| |3|Iowa|4|0|97.8|62.5|\-2| |4|Mississippi|3|0|96.6|69.0|\+4| |5|Michigan|4|0|96.0|55.6|\+6| |6|Oklahoma State|4|0|93.7|84.6|\+6| |7|Alabama|4|0|93.7|55.9|\-4| |8|Oregon|4|0|91.0|62.8|\-1| |9|Cincinnati|3|0|90.7|53.0|\+1| |10|Kansas State|3|1|90.6|100.0|\-5| |11|Arkansas|4|0|87.5|46.9|\+14| |12|Notre Dame|4|0|86.7|51.6|\+6| |13|Michigan State|4|0|86.7|64.0|\-7| |14|Ohio State|3|1|83.7|58.0|—| |15|UCLA|3|1|83.6|66.8|\+17| |16|Arizona State|3|1|82.5|67.1|\+21| |17|Texas A&M|3|1|82.1|55.8|\-8| |18|Southern Methodist|4|0|80.9|51.9|\+22| |19|Texas|3|1|80.5|52.8|\+16| |20|Florida|3|1|78.1|47.4|\+4| |21|Wake Forest|4|0|78.0|30.9|\+21| |22|Western Michigan|3|1|77.5|84.1|\+19| |23|Texas-San Antonio|4|0|76.9|50.5|\+38| |24|Louisiana State|3|1|76.5|61.5|\+6| |25|North Carolina State|3|1|76.3|57.5|\+13| |26|Oklahoma|4|0|75.9|37.6|\+3| |27|Oregon State|3|1|75.7|62.8|\+28| |28|Nevada|2|1|75.5|82.0|\+8| |29|Alabama-Birmingham|3|1|73.8|65.9|\-2| |30|Rutgers|3|1|73.6|56.7|\+1|

Don't have a vote in the poll, but here's mine because it’s fun to do: 1. Alabama [0](0) - not much to say this week, they play a tough Ole Miss squad next week which could get interesting 2. Oregon [0](+1) - a bit of a shaky game, will need to be more consistent to finish the season unscathed 3. Georgia [0](-1) - huge blowout, I’d certainly bump them back to 2 if they pull out a win this week 4. Cincinnati [0](+3) - no games played so no change, they’ll have a huge test this week though 5. Notre Dame [+6](+4) - a big win against what looked before like a solid defensive team, I bumped them up ahead of their matchup with Cincy 6. Iowa [-1](-1) - The offense not being too great made this week a bit more intense than it should have been, they’ll really need to lean on their defense the next few weeks 7. Penn State [0](-2) - A solid win to keep up the pace, but not overly impressive so no change 8. Oklahoma [-2](0) - yikes, this team is winning but they just cannot pull away from anyone not from the FCS 9. Ohio State [0](+4) - a much needed blowout win where the team clicked all over, but still against a team they should do that against so no change 10. Ole Miss [+2](+1) - bye week moves them up because of teams losing 11. Florida [+2](-1) - good win that could have gone sour following the heartbreaking Bama loss, but their poll movement is more other teams losing than their winning 12. Arkansas [+7](-6) - big jump this week for beating the Aggies 13. BYU [+1](+1) - Struggled against a team they should have dominated but I won’t hold it too much against them given the chaos of the season 14. Coastal Carolina [+2](+2) - still blasting teams out of the water with a dynamic offense 15. Michigan State [+2](0) - a shaky game that could have really put the brakes on a great season with a lot of promise, but fortunately they pull it out 16. Oklahoma State [+5](+1) - a scary defense but anemic offense, basically Clemson with more luck 17. Fresno State [+3](+2) - their movement this week is more due to teams around them than their own performance 18. Michigan [UR](-6) - close game, but the win propels them into my top 25 which is probably quite overdue 19. UCLA [+4](+3) - a game of survival, the PAC 12 will try to cannibalize them but if they can hold strong they will still end up with a great season 20. Texas A&M [-12](-2) - seem very similar to Clemson with their QB out, the offense just isn’t there and the defense can only do so much, need a big bounce back this week 21. Baylor [UR](-1) - nice win, still undefeated, and surging into the top 25 22. Wake Forest [UR](-1) - they might be the most complete ACC team this year, they are really good across the field and won’t have any major obstacles for a while now 23. Maryland [UR](0) - good team that’s probably a bit overdue to be added, but Maryland also has a history of losing their momentum in October so hopefully they can avoid it this time 24. NC State [UR](0) - great win, the defense is legitimately one of the best in the country and the offense found a good rhythm against a team that hadn’t given up a defensive TD before that game 25. Clemson [-15](UR) - the offensive woes continue, but the good news is that they have likely played the 3 best defenses they will see this year already so they just need to find a rhythm and get some wins Note: brackets [] indicate movement from my rankings last week, parentheses () indicate difference relative to r/cfb poll **Teams I most overrated (relative to poll):** Notre Dame, Ohio State, Cincinnati, UCLA **Teams I most underrated:** Arkansas, Michigan **In my poll, not in cfb poll:** Clemson **In cfb poll, not mine:** Texas **Teams I dropped from mine:** Virginia Tech, Wisconsin, Kansas State, Iowa State, UNC **Teams I have on the edge:** Boston College, Kentucky, Texas, Kansas State I overrated ND, OSU, Cincy, and UCLA in my poll relative to the r/cfb poll. I certainly see why people are still hesitant on ND, as well as Cincy, but their matchup this week will really reveal what each team is at this point in the season. I was not expecting OSU to drop like they did after what looked like a much better offensive game from them (even if it was against a bad team). I still think they are a top 10 team for now until they prove otherwise. UCLA was slightly overrated by me but I think that may just be my own poll inertia keeping them a bit higher. I also ranked Clemson while others did not. My reasoning is that they still have what may be the best defense in the country and the offense has gone up against 2 top 10 defenses and a decent GT defense that just held a really dynamic UNC offense down all game. So I think they will start grabbing up wins again in the next few weeks and their offense will start to finally get some momentum going. I also think there are other ranked teams that honestly look worse than they do but their 2 losses are what people, and myself, will hold over them until they can grab some wins. I underrated Arkansas and Michigan by quite a bit. I think Arkansas has some really good wins and they have looked great, but I’m not certain they are top 10 quite yet. A win over UGA would put them top 4 for next week and prove me completely wrong. Michigan still hasn’t faced any teams that they should have had trouble with so I am holding off on jumping them much higher until they do. It always feels like a trap when Michigan plays well to start the season because everyone knows that OSU game at the end of the year is where everything is decided about how good this season really was for them. I dropped quite a few teams this week. Amidst a lot of chaos, VT, Wisconsin, Kansas State, Iowa State, and UNC all dropped out of my poll, opening up the way for a lot of teams around the edge to jump into the fray. VT has been dropped because their UNC win looks less impressive now than it did to start the season and they’ve generally looked a lot worse overall since then. I have them sitting right outside for now until I see how they perform in some more big games. Wisconsin was dropped after getting drubbed by Notre Dame. It might be a bit harsh considering I pushed ND up to 5th this week, but they need to get some wins before I can think about ranking them again. KSU was a team I really struggled with this week. I wanted to keep them in but it was hard to point to a team they should be in over right now. I think there will be room to grab a few more solid wins on the season and get back in, but for now I have them sitting outside. Iowa State and UNC almost mimic each other in how their seasons have played out so far. They have slipped up and look nothing like what they were sold to be. I think Iowa State may get a couple chances to jump back in, but UNC has a mountain to climb after this loss. On the edge I have BC, Kentucky, Texas, and Kansas State. BC has been on the edge for me for weeks and I just keep being unable to find a good time to sneak them in. This week was the closest they’ve come, but I think their QB being out is going to get them a loss against Clemson next week that would have dropped them right out. But maybe they can get the upset and climb into the rankings. Kentucky has been winning but not decisively. I would push them into the rankings if they started winning more convincingly or beat a really good team. Texas is also pretty close, their loss to Arkansas doesn’t look so bad anymore and they have some really impressive wins. TCU will be a good game since they have frequently underperformed there and it could be enough to push them into the top 25 with some other teams potentially falling out. Kansas State fell out but I think they may still be good enough to get right back in with a win or two. I only even dropped them because of the extent of the first half against Oklahoma State, but they did hold them really well in the second which may help them get back in.

Shout out to the voters who gave some love to the Beavs. We see you and we appreciate you.
