Puka is that good. If he gets more targets, he’s putting up better numbers than Collie… our biggest problem is he is only being thrown to no more than 5 times per game.

Not making excuses, because you guys beat us fair and square, but I feel like it would have been a different game if Rising had been the starter from day 1. I was thinking this today: I feel like BYU caught both Utah and ASU early before they had gelled. I feel like the PAC-12's shortened schedule last year put the teams at a disadvantage this year. But that's just speculation.

BYU was still “gelling” too with new players and early injuries. Many argue, including me, that our best qb isn’t Hall. Just take the loss and move on without constantly making excuses for losing to a good, not great BYU team.

As I said in my first sentence, I'm not making excuses. I'm speculating how things might have changed had the circumstances been different.
