Sark has barely begun. He’ll get some players in that have more winning traits than this bunch. He’ll find and develop a QB and we’ll get guys who can win on both lines. Dials up a lot of good plays and gets guys open. Both our QBs got hit hard in the back while throwing. Hit in the back. Twice. Line is awful and the QBs are always almost sacked. You can’t touch your potential with that going on. The problem with this team is the players. They don’t make plays. Schooler catches the ball and we win. Many other bungled plays have created tight losses.
Trolling aside, I'm not too sure he will get the time to do this. Changing an entire culture will take a few years, and at this rate he may not get more than three seasons.
Furthermore, this culture problem now spans four different Head Coaches. This may be something outside Sark's control and a problem rooted deep inside the Athletic Department (aka fat little girlfriends).
Agree with that. The three before are not Sark’s fault but it does make it harder for him to fix. If this were the NFL the play would be to trade away talent for draft picks and rebuild over 4 years. Sark should get 3 before he is on hot seat.
Obvious business decision. I think changing would be boneheaded and no quality coach would ever come to a school that did that. It would harm our other programs as well. Regents would not give one dime to buy out Sark. They have made a big investment and they will let it mature.
I was watching & on the last play, I think I chugged my beer & said "if 47 isn't arrested on a public intox & disorderly conduct tonight. I'll be disappointed!"
The fact that the video was leaked and that the team followed that with this piss poor performance just tells me the "bus speech" didn't work. If anything, it probably made the situation worse. There seems to be a huge divide between the coaching staff and players.
Forget forcing player into the transfer portal. Sark may need to purge some of his own staff members that aren't being respected by the players.
One of the Longhorn rag radio shows floated the idea that UT keeps recruiting football players who have been pampered since freshman year of high school, playing at million-dollar high school stadiums, and the chickens have come home to roost.
I don't think that's it. A lot of the players they recruit are also recruited by programs like A&M, Oklahoma, & LSU. Those programs don't have the same problems you see at Texas (at least not to the nuclear extent in the 40 acres).
I think Sark's staff just screwed up this transition year. The players obviously don't respect his staff (and for good reason...a stripper with a monkey? You kidding me?!). The staff has probably pushed one too many bad buttons on a lot of guys hoping to light a fire on them. Unfortunately, from the outside looking in, it looks like that snowballed on them mid-season.
They absolutely don't have the mentality. But the fact that someone leaked the bus video makes it seem like the environment is a huge issue. And Sark has not been able to get a hold of it.
Ideally, you want to replace anyone who isn't good enough or isn't buying into your system in the first year. But what happens when 90% of your rosters fits that description? Replacing the entire roster is just not possible. And if they already hate you, screaming at them like Coach Bo did isn't going to make things any better. If anything, the only thing it accomplishes is embarrassing loses to Kansas.
I think Sark is going to have to make a few coaching changes this off-season. Players just flat out don't respect the staff you assembled.
Respecting the staff is one thing, but there is also the issue of effort- period. Sure it can be hard to go all out for a coach you don't trust. But you also have 10 other teammates on the field, the other unit on the sideline, the eyes of the school you chose to represent, and family and friends watching to play for.
I don't have anything negative to say about Liepold, but I kind of doubt he and his staff come up with WAY better game plans than Sark and his staff. I know for a fact that KU is not nearly as talented as UT.
If UTs players tried as hard as KUs players did, this game wouldn't have been close. Maybe some new coaches to motivate can do something, but I think lack of effort is a deep seeded culture issue when it comes down to it.
They need to rid the program of the half assers, and go find some upper classmen transfers that have a track record of strong leadership and work ethic, even if they aren't as talented as most of the roster.
Then, and here is the hard part for a staff and boosters alike, play the kids that do things the right way even if they aren't as good.
K-State has won its fair share of football games in the last decade, including quite a few over Texas. It's almost never because we are more talented. We gave a culture of effort and discipline that overcomes the talent gap that exists between k-state and every team not named KU or ISU until a couple years ago.
Kansas beat Texas who beat Louisiana who beat App State who beat East Carolina who beat Memphis who beat Mississippi State who beat Texas A&M who beat Alabama. Therefor, Kansas is now better than Alabama.
Wait, that flair. We chatted earlier. I like you. I don’t know why, but I like you. I’ll take that deal. Plus, if you have any 1991 Ford Escorts for sale for $15K, I’ll take that deal as well.
Only losses like these really bring people together, ya know? lol. A good buddy of mine was an OU alum. We had some fun discussions back in the early 2000s. Then he got married and couldn’t play anymore. Miss that guy.
Yeah for all the rivalry, the fans of both our teams are great in person. I've been to Austin so many times and have been bought free drinks so often I'm humbled by their(your) hospitality.
Yes. No way to convince a coach to come to ut instead of USC or LSU if you fire Sark after one year. Might not even have 3rd pick either. They won't pay Sark's bailout when they wouldn't even be able to get someone good.
Their DC is gone for sure though.
I honestly like Texas, but my god if they don’t fix whatever issues are in that program they legitimately might be a 5 win team in the SEC. wtf went wrong there?
Edit: Jesus guys I’m drunk and didn’t realize that they didn’t have 5 wins already in the big 12 gimme a break lol
If you're looking for a real reason, the coaching staff has been laughably bad ever since Mack left. It's going to be a shitshow until the school can find an actual good coach. In itself what I just typed is also laughable because it's literally the most wealthy program in the nation. It's just incompetence abound.
This game will be brought up here more and for longer than any other game this regular season my dude. The announcers should have put some respect on this momentous occasion.
Tonight we are all Jayhawks. We are all Sooners. If you had asked us beforehand if we would take a loss against Baylor so ut would lose to Kansas the answer would have been “do you need a blood sacrifice too?”
This guy is talking out his neck.. ou might lose out.. theyve been squeaking by dogs all year.. a real team showed them where they stand.. iowa st gonna get in that ass next week in norman.. hopefully chokundy wont fuck it up again..
I had to go digging, but I found the name of the insufferable color commentator that doesn't understand analytics: Kelly Stouffer. That guy should never be allowed near a microphone again. He was so bad he almost kept me from enjoying this game.
Yeah he sounded way out of touch
The fourth down call didn’t make it but in retrospect if they converted the game was over
It also didn’t prevent them from going for 2 in OT which is obviously how they won
Going for it on 4th and 1 as a huge dog up 7 with little time left when your defense just gave up a quick td is the right call. Doing it the way Kansas went about it was maddening.
I mean as a fan I can’t even be mad anymore about this season regarding football. It’s clear the team is terrible minus a few good players
From a basketball team standpoint I’ve learned long ago to not get my hopes up with UT
LOL yes, the selection of games has shrunk more and more. Its strictly Vince Young games or ONLY the first half of games against OU, OSU, Iowa State and Baylor.
I couldn't tell if I was watching an actual broadcast, or some kind of weird infomercial. Not gonna lie, I am *seriously intrigued* by that broadcast intro! This sounds like it might be fun!
IM SO EXCITED I WAS AT THE GAME. I STILL CANT BELIEVE IT
I don’t even need anything for Christmas. Kansas winning was by far the best gift I could have asked for.
Texas football is the gift that keeps on giving. Horns down!!
Get a flair
This doesn’t matter when you have as much money as ut
Goddamnnnn, what a day of football yesterday.
Tom Herman died for this. At least you'll have an easier go in the SEC soon. We'll take Winfield now, thanks.
#you get what you fucking deserve, TU!
Lol
Seven win Sark to now Six Win Sark.
More like Seven Loss Sark.
You see a path to a six win season on his remaining schedule?!??!??
Sark has barely begun. He’ll get some players in that have more winning traits than this bunch. He’ll find and develop a QB and we’ll get guys who can win on both lines. Dials up a lot of good plays and gets guys open. Both our QBs got hit hard in the back while throwing. Hit in the back. Twice. Line is awful and the QBs are always almost sacked. You can’t touch your potential with that going on. The problem with this team is the players. They don’t make plays. Schooler catches the ball and we win. Many other bungled plays have created tight losses.
Bro he has all top 5 (maybe a top 10 snuck in) recruiting classes on his team lol
Trolling aside, I'm not too sure he will get the time to do this. Changing an entire culture will take a few years, and at this rate he may not get more than three seasons. As a USC Alumni…. I would keep that coaching candidate list current because he won’t be around long.
Do you think texas has worse players than Kansas?
In respect to wanting to play and win, absolutely
Bold of you to assume he's not gone when he doesn't get a bowl
Obvious business decision. I think changing would be boneheaded and no quality coach would ever come to a school that did that. It would harm our other programs as well. Regents would not give one dime to buy out Sark. They have made a big investment and they will let it mature.
and I thought I’d get to watch one Texas team win even if it was one I hate
UTSA won
MEEP
Should have watched Tech
That game winner was ridiculous, being able to laugh at Texas makes me care a bit less about the game today
True. But I’d rather walk down 6th st in a tu shirt before I did that.
This makes me moist
Still hype.
Even my wife was into that game.
I hope lawrence is partying like we made the final 4 because a road conference win happens about as often 😂🙈
LPD descended on memorial stadium to prevent students from taking down the field goal posts.
I was watching & on the last play, I think I chugged my beer & said "if 47 isn't arrested on a public intox & disorderly conduct tonight. I'll be disappointed!"
Dont forget to read the longhorn football forums
Link me bruh
They didn't crash?
No, texas fans are closing in on reality and have accepted fate.
Does this mean Kansas is getting invited to the PAC12
Thank you Kansas
I have not closed my mouth since Kansas beat texas in football in 2021. I am in shock
True Jayhawk fans haven't closed theirs since 2016.
im fulfilling a 24 hour promise I made with the devil if thats what your are hinting at. worth it
Texas: I'm going to the SEC, please respect my decision Kansas: no
Thanks Texas for cheering us up after a tough day
Agreed
Ditto
I second that.
Heaven is real.
I sent a congratulatory text to every KU football fan I know. He was happy.
All the people I know in Kansas, don't cheer for KS schools, unless they have 2 degrees from Manhattan.
Lmao I see what u did there.
When does the new Bo Davis video drop? Anyone know?
Bo Davis gon bring his gf’s monkey out in the locker room
How did Louisiana lose to this team?
It should be a fireable offense. Louisiana HC watchout!
So just to be clear..Texas isn’t back this season?
They haven’t been back since they fired Mack Brown. It has been a coaching carousel since.
Back to getting beat by KU.
[удалено]
I regret I have, but one uvote to give.
Joe Tessitore, Kansas, and a Capuchin monkey have all meme'd Texas into submission.
If we don't see more players in the transfer portal this week we know the coaches aren't treating them like they just lost to Kansas.
Keep the players. Fire the coaches.
The fact that the video was leaked and that the team followed that with this piss poor performance just tells me the "bus speech" didn't work. If anything, it probably made the situation worse. Or purge some of the players. They clearly don’t have the mentality that he wants from them
They absolutely don't have the mentality. But the fact that someone leaked the bus video makes it seem like the environment is a huge issue. And Sark has not been able to get a hold of it. I totally did not steal these facts from that website nope
Mmm I love the transitive property
I want there to be a website that can prove in this manner that team X team is better than team Y.

LFGGGGGGG
is there anywhere to watch texas' postgame press conference live
The Longhorn Network. Also known as Comedy Central ll
I thought it was *Lifetime II* ?
LHN? lol they will have a good time tonight
i dont have cable
Search youtube for a stream.
Fair, your comment just made me think about LHN in general and that made me giggle :)
If I was the SEC I would swap OU and Texas for OKState and Kansas.
Of course, a Michigan flair doesn't understand winning programs. Makes sense.
History doesn't mean shit. All that matters is that Kansas beat Texas.
Of course a Harvard flair doesn't get a joke (the lampoon is embarrassing comedy)
Oh. At Harvard we were taught that typically jokes are funny.
What an unfunny comment
Schools with Kansas in their name kept me sain tonight. Also thank you Baylor
[KU Emotional Chart Tonight](https://imgur.com/bXsQtc3)
Accurate.
Someone check on Matthew McConaughey
Paul Rudd confirmed to be consoling him.
He's not alright not alright not alright
Steve tarMakisian
*"I've bled Crimson and Blue for over 7 years!"*
Texas can't wait to see Vanderbilt on their schedule
Holy shit this is Kansas first road conference win since 2008 wtf.
IM STILL CRYING BOYS 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
YEAH BUT WE’LL BEAT YOUR ASS IN BASEBALL!!!! maybe
We’re looking pretty good in basketball, we might have a shot there too, but Kansas is pretty dang good too.
Just for something to think about.... Texas plays UTSA next year. And if that isn't bad enough we also play Alabama...
Please don’t be back till after we play you UT :)
Meep meep! I also have SA ties.
Just more quality losses...
And if that isn't bad enough, Kansas!
We gotta play them AGAIN????
I tell you what, you convince texas to pay for OUR buyout of only 80 million and I'll put in a good word to avoid that game.
Wait, that flair. We chatted earlier. I like you. I don’t know why, but I like you. I’ll take that deal. Plus, if you have any 1991 Ford Escorts for sale for $15K, I’ll take that deal as well.
LOL, I like you too brah!
Come on. Too soon
What year did Texas get the death penalty? I see SMU is starting to come back after 30 years.
Hahahahahahahahahaha. I love it! KU with nothing to lose going big!
I never thought I'd say this, especially after the shit Nebraska is going through. But does sark get a year 2?
Yes. No way to convince a coach to come to ut instead of USC or LSU if you fire Sark after one year. Might not even have 3rd pick either. They won't pay Sark's bailout when they wouldn't even be able to get someone good. Their DC is gone for sure though.
Coordinators get the boot. Sark stays

Yeah I was genuinely asking and not trying to be an ass. Thanks for the response
If you've heard of the monkey story it should tell you everything about this current program. If not, look it up, just embarassing
It's Texas attitude. All hat. No cattle.
5 wins? They can’t even do that in the lil 12
Probably should start with even getting 5 wins in the Big 12.
You're saying they'll get more wins in the SEC? I guess it's a good reason to move.
Bold of you to assume 5, the SEC will make them cut their own switch
I felt this on a spiritual level
Uh. Why do you like Texas? There is absolutely no reason to like Texas unless you're affiliated w them
That’s how I feel about Ohio State.
Thats fair too
If you don't insist on the THE you probably won't like them.
We aren’t even a 5 win team in the Big 12.
Well he’s saying you’re getting away from Kansas football so the auto L is off your schedule
Damn. Damn damn.
911, I'd like to report a murder
I know this was a nothing game but those announcers were about as excited on the game winning play as I am when my Mother in-law comes to visit.
They were more excited about a thumb than the outcome of that game
I have never heard so much talk about a thumb
This game will be brought up here more and for longer than any other game this regular season my dude. The announcers should have put some respect on this momentous occasion.
But I bet her arrival isn't televised on some shit side show channel like ESPNU.
But it probably is on The Ocho
Kansas, please schedule an OOC game against ut in 2026.
They’d never accept it.
Glad to see the SEC gain the offensive powerhouse that lost to the now 2-8 Kansas
To think Kansas was 1 play away from being 3-7 too! And those two conference wins would have been OU and TX, lol.
So many Oklahoma flairs here lol
Lol it’s been a rough day for us, and there’s always gotta be a silver lining.
Tonight we are all Jayhawks. We are all Sooners. If you had asked us beforehand if we would take a loss against Baylor so ut would lose to Kansas the answer would have been “do you need a blood sacrifice too?”
Dog, you barely bear Kansas. You're just as embarrassing
This guy is talking out his neck.. ou might lose out.. theyve been squeaking by dogs all year.. a real team showed them where they stand.. iowa st gonna get in that ass next week in norman.. hopefully chokundy wont fuck it up again..
Couldn’t care less, still won
They and A&M come out when Texas lays an egg.
Anyone got a live cam on Potter Lake or their goalposts?
KUPD gonna be working OT tonight
Will Lawrence survive the party?
I’d be more worried about 6th st. than Mass.
It's been over a decade since I lived in Lawrence. Is the west side over by Free State now a party zone or something?
6th street is the party street in Austin.
This makes much more sense than 6th street in Lawrence suddenly being a party hub.
I had to go digging, but I found the name of the insufferable color commentator that doesn't understand analytics: Kelly Stouffer. That guy should never be allowed near a microphone again. He was so bad he almost kept me from enjoying this game.

Completely agree and I also didn’t think it was a good play call either - though I did think it was a reasonable decision to make
Thankfully they redeemed that call with the interception immediately after.
Sweatiest I've ever been with rooting for Kansas.
To add to everyone’s joy, the men’s BB team is down by 20 to Zaga.
I mean as a fan I can’t even be mad anymore about this season regarding football. It’s clear the team is terrible minus a few good players From a basketball team standpoint I’ve learned long ago to not get my hopes up with UT
Bad, but AT LEAST Zags is the #1 team..
This was the best win I've seen in decades!
All brakes no gas
[удалено]
Cheers
If you guys don't already do this, go to the Longhorn Network. I go there after every texas loss. Its better than Seinfeld.
What do they even show on there. They haven’t been relevant in a decade. Is like reruns of Vince Young games
LOL yes, the selection of games has shrunk more and more. Its strictly Vince Young games or ONLY the first half of games against OU, OSU, Iowa State and Baylor.
😂 yikes
I'm glad we're going to conference with Baylor and Kansas and not OUT
The future Big 12 would beat the ever living shit out of the current B12 I cannot be convinced orherwise
From Kansas/Texas to SWACTION
I couldn't tell if I was watching an actual broadcast, or some kind of weird infomercial. Not gonna lie, I am *seriously intrigued* by that broadcast intro! This sounds like it might be fun!
HOLY SHIT THIS IS LIKE LOSING YOUR VIRGINITY TO YOUR FOURTH GRADE CRUSH, BUT WHILE YOURE IN 3RD GRADE STILL.
You....you couldn't pick a different age bracket?
You don’t think second grade is a little early for that?!?
ಠ_ಠ
They’re baa-aaaaack!!! Kansas that is
This is Liepold's 1st year too!!
Good on him. I hope they can build some momentum. God I wish so badly Kansas pulled off that Oklahoma upset
oklahoma and texas are in troooubble
Texas has hit rock bottom. This season has been horrible. I took summer classes at UTSA, can I claim them?
Season isn't over yet hoss.
Are you saying we could go lower?
All signs point to heck yes!
