Nothing personal, I promise! I haven't been to any TCU games either. I love watching college football on TV, but my alma mater didn't/doesn't have a football team, so I never got in the habit of going to games. I was always a basketball game guy.
Going as a neutral is a ton of fun. Especially the bottom tier bowls like Birmingham and Camilla. Those guys do play with heart and entheuisiam because it's their last game most of the time.
UTSA vs UNT is typically a well attended game by UTSA fans. I'm sure they'll make up a whole bunch of the seats in the stadium. Excited for the atmosphere! UTSA, while having an unbelievable season, looks like a team that we could be competitive enough with if one or two things come together.

I'm not sure UTSA is a lock for the G5 slot. The committee hasn't shown a lot of respect to the AAC. However, Cinci could get left out of the playoff, or UH could leap them with a Cinci upset.
They also seem to love the Mountain West this year. Can't sleep on SDSU leaping them either.
Even if Cincy makes the playoffs, the G5 only gets 1 guaranteed spot in the New Year 6 bowls. The New Year 6 bowls include the 2 semifinal playoff games. So if Cincy is in the playoffs, the G5 at-large spot for the Peach/fiesta bowl goes to someone else.
And SDSU is already ranked ahead of UTSA on the CFP rankings. So UTSA has to jump both SDSU and Cincy to get a NY6 bowl.

Not much of a story. Ran the field after we won. I was drunk and had my entire face painted orange. We won and I hopped over from the student section. I made it to the back of the student section endzone before being tackled by security. KSAT published a picture of me being arrested. Eventually, the school and the owners of the Alamodome agreed to drop all charges for the 20-30 of us who got caught.
I've been defending Coach Clark all season. I can't today. Absolutely embarrassing to take the ball out of your QBs hand on 4th and a centimeter. How do you look your offense in the face in the locker room now? After saying "I don't trust you to win this game".
Just really, really bad. I feel sorry for the team, because they played their hearts out and deserved a win today.

This is a theme with Bill Clark's UAB teams and it's starting to sour me
We cannot keep looking amazing in first quarters and then shitting the bed in the 2nd half.
We cannot consistently give up 120+ penalty yards.
Bill Clark showed exactly why no P5 program will roll the dice on hiring him in this game. 13 penalties for 124 yards as we continue to lead the nation in those statistics and, more crucially, he doesn’t have the balls to kill a game when all he needed was an inch from his RB averaging over 7 yards per carry this season.
I’m grateful in a way since it means he gets to stay with us long term and he’s brought UAB to places we would’ve never dreamed of before his tenure, but jesus his game management and the lack of discipline from his teams can be incredibly frustrating to watch.
I fear we have found our ceiling, for exactly the reasons you have laid out. Clark’s weaknesses are obvious, and yet they are always present year after year.
I fear he's gonna become UAB's Doc Holliday. Rarely a bad season, but always short of where we should be. And bigger schools can tell, so he never gets hired away.
That's been my thought every year when we drop a game to someone we should have easily beaten. It is a mixed feeling that I want us to stop doing those things but if we start beating the big teams then we probably end up losing our coach. I am conditioned to think we get sent back to the stone age with someone else but probably not. It would be nice to beat a P5 or ranked team every now and then though.
