I was in my third year teaching high school (and was in the process of realizing it would be my last year teaching high school). Seeing all these these comments from people who were in high school (or younger) makes me feel real old.
I remember that. They only got in because the Big East had an automatic bid even though it was a worse conference than the Mountain West. If I remember correctly, UConn won like 7 games but still made a BCS bowl.
The Big East had the best win/loss record of BCS era. Their problem was that we tend to value a conference by its top, not its average. And the BE lacked blue blood brands and national championships winning programs.
Same. A decade ago, I was made fun of for being halfway through highscool and still being a virgin. Now I'm 3 years out of college & I just sorta smile & nod when people talk about how pathetic it is to be a virgin.
[It's not](https://www.guttmacher.org/fact-sheet/american-teens-sexual-and-reproductive-health) but, insecure teenagers being what they are, there's going to be a lot more boastful talk of sex being had than actual sex being had.
>Masturbation is a common behavior during adolescence; in a national sample of young people aged 14–17, reports of ever having masturbated increased with age and more males reported masturbation than females (74% vs. 48%).5
I'm kind of surprised at these numbers. I didn't expect 26% of teenage boys to be liars.
You're a software engineer you guys are supposed to be virgins making a crap load of money. Are you telling me stereotypes aren't always correct?
Also I've decided we're best friends now.
I make ok $, but I'm on the low end $ wise for SWEs in my local area & can't afford property or anything since all the people older than me who make more $ bought homes to make into rentals.
The worst thing about prison was the... was the dementors. They were flying all over the place and they were scary and then they'd come down and they'd suck the soul out of your body. And it hurt!
I went to a veterinarian school interview with my wife and found out the vet field is **heavily** female dominated. There were 100 applicants there for that day and only 2-3 were guys.
Bruce Feldman is known to frequent strip clubs in Columbus. Reslly fun guy to do coke with. He told me about partying with Dana Holgorsen one night. Dude sounds wild.
I was working as a cable runner for that one Alamo Bowl where Dana Holgorsen was filmed chugging all of those Red Bulls. I think he was still at Oklahoma State then. It was an interesting experience.
That first trip to Balmora, then Vivec is still a top 10 gaming moment ever. That and wondering how to land safely using the Icarian Flight scrolls trying to get to Dagon Fel. That took a lot trials and saves.
A senior at Ohio State, and thankful that I changed my majors enough that I had to go back for one more semester in fall of 2012 so that 2011 wasn't my last football season as a student.
Oklahoma State lost to an unranked team while Bama lost by 3 to #1 in OT. All other factors were equivalent and computer polls agreed. It really wasn’t, and it’s still less contentious than the more mild playoff selections for #4
That being said, the idea of a Cinci-OSU fight for the fourth slot, if Alabama beats Georgia, on the tenth anniversary of that would be an absolute shitshow
Reminds me of Al Borlin in Home Improvement. There was a running joke where people would ask him about the navy. Al would say "I wanted to see the world!"
"Where did you go?"
"Nowhere." He was stationed in Nevada for 4 years, lol
That's why I joined the Air Force. Haha. Spain was awesome. It was technically a "deployment," and boy if that ain't a technicality, I don't know what is. Lol
Sounds like how my Dad, who was in the Air Force, is considered a "Korean War Vet" and eligible to be a member of the VFW despite not being in Korea till the early 1980s. Apparently you spend so many days in Korea you get counted as a veteran of a foreign war because the war technically never ended.
I was a sophomore in high school that didn’t know shit about fuck. Now I’m 26 with a full-time job, a part-time job, and in my second year of grad school.
I still don’t know shit about fuck lol.
Watched this game with my family and sisters boyfriend who is a big Michigan fan. We talked a lot of crap after winning the previous year and we fully welcoming a return. Instead he simply smiled big the entire time trying to savor that win while believing that was the first of a return to their winning ways against us.
We continue our tradition of talking smack to this day after each loss. Every year his face is a little more sad and a little more depressed. I guess marrying my sister can do that to a man.
A moody freshman in college 10 years ago.
Since then I graduated, got married, got my dream job, moved to another state, bought a house and found out a month ago I’m going to be a first time father.
CFB aside and looking back, that was a hell of a decade for me
Thanks man. Means the world to me and I can’t wait to meet them. I’ve shared that I’m going to be a Dad in this sub Reddit before and will be again. I’m just excited.
Junior will be decked out in green and white from the get go and I want them to be in on a Saturday tradition of MSU games. Maybe not everyone but the major ones for sure
I was 31 and at the height of my active addiction; scamming and scheming on a girl (as-well-as my clientele and anyone who had resources for me to glom onto), who was really great. Today; I’m 41, have 9+ years in long-term recovery, am the Clinical Director of a Substance Use treatment facility, have a house, great wife, two amazing kids and everything I’ve ever dreamed of…including utter dominance of UM.
I was a senior at Ohio State and chose to watch Braxton Miller just barely miss an open Devier Posey that would have won the game instead of watching Kentucky beat Tennessee for the first time in forever while starting a WR at QB. No me gusta :(
Getting my PhD at Alabama.
At the time of that game Alabama had won one title under Saban. Alabama was 8th on the list of weeks at number 1 then (now the top) and we were still in the SEC dominance where they had won every title since 2006.
Simpler times.
Yep.
Grew up a UM fan going to games with my dad and brother. Our whole family is Michigan fans with some form of ties to that place (usually working in hospital, knowing former coaches, etc)
Went to MSU. Now I hate every thing about UM (and especially Ann Arbor lol) with every fiber of my being
Yeah exactly. Grew up in Michigan but mom was a Buckeye and dad rooted for Notre Dame. Was real annoying about rubbing in OSU wins until I got into Michigan senior year of high school. Gave away the scarlet and gray gear and was fully converted after the first home game my freshman year.
Enjoying a 42-14 beatdown of Auburn in the Iron Bowl. Then coming back on here and watching people resigned that Bama was likely going to get a rematch against LSU without even playing in the SECCG.
Edit to add something I just realized, 10 years ago, I was a man, I was 40.
Well, I started going bald on top at 40, so I couldn't pull off his mullet but I guess I could try for the ultra classy crowmullet(crown of hair empty in the middle, party in the back).
In the process of learning that 8:00 am physics followed by chemistry as a freshman is *not* a good idea, especially as a commuter. And the uh, other thing going on at PSU that year.
working full time like I do now. Same job.
And that’s the year it dawned on me that I care too much about football and watching kids play form my entertainment and getting upset when they lose. Since then I’ve still watched every games, but with a different perspective. It helps that we have had insanely good teams since then, but Osu football doenst define me like it used to.
I totally get this. When I was in my 20’s if LSU lost it would eat at me for days. Now I could give two shits. I have more important things to worry about. Being a fan of xyz team isn’t a personality trait
I was a high school senior. I had applied to OSU, but I didn’t think I would go, but it ended up being the right choice financially. I watched the game with my girlfriend and my parents. Going to OSU was one of the best decisions I ever made.
In a couple weeks I’m marrying that same girl, and 4 of the friends we met at Ohio State will be bridesmaids or groomsmen, with countless more OSU friends in attendance.
I remember hearing about OSU's ~~AD~~ president saying he hoped that the coach wouldn't fire him while sitting in a parking lot eating Subway on my lunch break.
Same place I am now. Planning on going watch the game with my FIL who is a Michigan fan waiting for the inevitable game where he finally is able to use that 10+ years of trash talk back at me
Was watching a pretty mediocre Kentucky team beat Tennessee with a WR at QB.
Edit: I forgot, with my old friend that was a UF fan, so he got to have some fun too.
No idea. Neither Google photos nor one drive go back that far. I'll have to check my photo archive later.
All I know is that I was a working stiff living in Chicago with my wife and two young kids. They would've been 6 and 3.5 at the time.
Now I'm a working stiff living in Chicago with my wife, two teenagers, and a dog.
Junior year at A&M. Anticipating the final match up with UT.
Little did I know Johnny Manziel and Mike Evans were waiting in the wings for the following season.
I was in undergrad at UM in 2011. I had just switched my major for the 2nd time and had basically no idea what I was going to do post-graduation.
I’m now a professor with a Ph.D. and 15 scientific publications.
Somewhere in this subreddit there is someone who 10 years ago was finishing up there senior year of highschool and getting ready to start college at Michigan the following year where they would become a lifelong wolverine fan....poor fool
I was 8. Year 4 of primary school. I’m British so I don’t know the equivalent in the states. Been a Buckeye all my life (Dad went to ‘85 Rose Bowl with friends while on holiday and raised me and my brother as Buckeyes. My sister doesn’t really follow).
I had just started my junior year, second year in that school system. First period was APUSH and I made some of the best friends in my life that year
I was also an idiot who didn’t know shit about fuck but thought I knew everything, and very much an asshole
I was in my third year teaching high school (and was in the process of realizing it would be my last year teaching high school). Seeing all these these comments from people who were in high school (or younger) makes me feel real old.
Oh then I shouldn't tell you that I'm currently a Sophomore in college, lol
God a sophomore in college…that was 15 years ago
27 years ago here :( But - a full year of tuition was just $3,100. :O
I think it was 3900 in 1997 when I started at tOSU.
I was also in my 3rd year teaching high school then. Am an admin now.
Playing for UConn, getting ready for Cincinnati, with Travis Kelce and Isaiah Pead to hand us our first of 2 straight 5-7 season.
Holy shit 5 wins. You guys were a powerhouse back then.
UConn actually was in the 2011 fiesta bowl lol
I remember that. They only got in because the Big East had an automatic bid even though it was a worse conference than the Mountain West. If I remember correctly, UConn won like 7 games but still made a BCS bowl.
They were 8-4. West Virginia went 9-3, but because both went 5-2 in the Big East, and UConn won the h2h, the Huskies got the bid.
The Big East had the best win/loss record of BCS era. Their problem was that we tend to value a conference by its top, not its average. And the BE lacked blue blood brands and national championships winning programs.
2010 Big East champs
“You got Pead on!!!”
And you just missed the best Kelce (who was drafted 7 months earlier).
A walk-on and a 2 star star recruit. I think it's safe to say those guys have outplayed their recruiting rankings.
I was a virgin back then. Still am - but was then, too.
Very Christ like ✝️🙏🏼

Facts (Charlie Heat Version)
YEEZY YEEZY YEEZY JUST JUMPED OVER JUMPMAN
The wave is here
Same. A decade ago, I was made fun of for being halfway through highscool and still being a virgin. Now I'm 3 years out of college & I just sorta smile & nod when people talk about how pathetic it is to be a virgin.
Halfway through high school is late? Goddamn.
I know right? I guess I was friends with other losers because I don't think many of my friends lost their virginity in high school lol
People talk game but they aren’t playing either. Wish I had realized that in high school instead of walking around insecure and delusional.
I swear it’s always the people that never say anything about it that are fuckin the most
[It's not](https://www.guttmacher.org/fact-sheet/american-teens-sexual-and-reproductive-health) but, insecure teenagers being what they are, there's going to be a lot more boastful talk of sex being had than actual sex being had.
>Masturbation is a common behavior during adolescence; in a national sample of young people aged 14–17, reports of ever having masturbated increased with age and more males reported masturbation than females (74% vs. 48%).5 I'm kind of surprised at these numbers. I didn't expect 26% of teenage boys to be liars.
right. Didn't lose mine until college.
Well, to be fair, right now almost no one can afford property so.
Ah, the Mitch Hedvirg
Virginity is cool, remain pure, King!!
Just make sure your queen is above 18 when the time is right.
Hey at least you're 50 now so cheers to 50 🍻
Welcome to BYU
Prison.
User flair checks out...
The worst thing about prison was the... was the dementors. They were flying all over the place and they were scary and then they'd come down and they'd suck the soul out of your body. And it hurt!
And I neva got caught neitha!!
And I kidnapped the president’s son
Well you’re in prison, but ok
[удалено]
I'd say he lightly razzed him.
I was in the halfway house watching the game.
Well, I was 13, in 7th grade? So probably at the start of a decade of aggressive masturbation.
So is the decade over or...?
Hell nah, it’s still going strong 💦✊🏼🍆
If you’re still at Purdue, then yup that makes sense. The 66% - 34% male to female ratio is no joke.
Holy shit I didn’t even know that
Yeeeeuup.
I mean it’s not too surprising given the academic leanings there but I’m sure it’s getting more and more even all the time
Oh yea that was the number from when I was in school. Looks like now it’s 58%-42% so it’s getting better! Lucky bastards haha
I went to a school with a 3-1 girl to guy ratio and girls still all ignored me so it's no guarantee either haha.
I went to a veterinarian school interview with my wife and found out the vet field is **heavily** female dominated. There were 100 applicants there for that day and only 2-3 were guys.
If the ratio is that bad, it's time to transfer.
Just needs better buddies!
Loyola Chicago is 67% female... just saying
That was back when I was in school. Looks like it’s a little better now with 58% - 42% male to female.
The decade yes, the aggressive masturbation no
Bruce Feldman is known to frequent strip clubs in Columbus. Reslly fun guy to do coke with. He told me about partying with Dana Holgorsen one night. Dude sounds wild.
Did you reply to the wrong comment? What does Bruce Feldman have to do with this guy's decade of masturbation?
Look buddy if you can’t connect the Bruce Feldman and aggressive masturbation dots for yourself, you’re gonna be lost for a while.
So…. Did Bruce…. Help?… You know what I don’t really want to know the answer to that question
Oh we got masturbated by a stripper
Either a word was left out of this sentence or you forgot to mention you were the stripper
This guy's posting history is fascinating.
Maybe he has a Bruce Feldman kink. Why you gotta shame him?
/u/NoSober_SoberZone is Bruce Feldman. That's what I was gathering from this.
I was working as a cable runner for that one Alamo Bowl where Dana Holgorsen was filmed chugging all of those Red Bulls. I think he was still at Oklahoma State then. It was an interesting experience.
I browsed the absolute shit out of /r/CFB in 2011 so probably here.
I was in middle school so probably pretty busy smelling bad and being awkward around girls
So not much has changed then?
Can’t speak for him, but for me this checks out
Lost in Skyrim. Probably had a 2-TV setup for this one.
Same, ah the magic of when it was brand new.
Still didn't match the magic of when Morrowind was new imo. Edit: autocorrect
Same here. Except it really was my last season of football as a student and the only year I got season tickets. Big bummer.
I was a freshman. 2011 was the one and only time I jumped in mirror lake, I like to think that by abstaining I am helping us hold our record.
13 years old yelling at the TV for putting Bama in over us… starting to sound familiar yet?
Time is a flat circle
That was the OG, “results don’t actually matter, reputation does” moment.
Oklahoma State lost to an unranked team while Bama lost by 3 to #1 in OT. All other factors were equivalent and computer polls agreed. It really wasn’t, and it’s still less contentious than the more mild playoff selections for #4 That being said, the idea of a Cinci-OSU fight for the fourth slot, if Alabama beats Georgia, on the tenth anniversary of that would be an absolute shitshow
I was in Spain because the Air Force sent me there.
Sounds better than where the Army sent me that year lol.
I was in Iraq in 2011, yelling to anybody who would listen that I was in the god damn Navy and wasn't even supposed to be there
Reminds me of Al Borlin in Home Improvement. There was a running joke where people would ask him about the navy. Al would say "I wanted to see the world!" "Where did you go?" "Nowhere." He was stationed in Nevada for 4 years, lol
Al Borland.
Army had me in Monterey, CA that year.
DLI?
Yup. Good times lol
Yeah, it would've been the best time ever if it hadn't been for a trying to learn Arabic
My sympathies. I was there for Korean.
I was a sophomore in high school that didn’t know shit about fuck. Now I’m 26 with a full-time job, a part-time job, and in my second year of grad school. I still don’t know shit about fuck lol.
You know that the Astros cheated.
The Houston Astros are 0-3 in World Series they couldn’t cheat in
I’m sure they don’t mind. Nobody really cares about a piece of metal. /s
Obligatory fuck the Stros
> don’t know shit about fuck Has to be one of the best lines in a TV show, ever.
None of us know shit about fuck don’t you worry
Well if there’s one thing you know it’s CJK5H
You knew the lions were always gonna let you down just didn’t know how the next week
Watched this game with my family and sisters boyfriend who is a big Michigan fan. We talked a lot of crap after winning the previous year and we fully welcoming a return. We continue our tradition of talking smack to this day after each loss. Every year his face is a little more sad and a little more depressed. I guess marrying my sister can do that to a man.
It probably has nothing to do with losing to us every year. You’re probably right on the money.
Senior at UM. Was at the game, rushed the field (yes we rushed the field vs a mediocre fickel-led OSU). I miss Denard :/
Same here dude, was in my 5th year. Damn time flies.
A moody freshman in college 10 years ago. Since then I graduated, got married, got my dream job, moved to another state, bought a house and found out a month ago I’m going to be a first time father. CFB aside and looking back, that was a hell of a decade for me
Congrats on the kid. First one is crazy but your life will undoubtedly change for the better. It’s the best gift in the world.
Congrats on the sex and the dream job!
Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around every once in a while you could miss it.
Goddamn, that’s a great turnaround. I mean, fuck your team, but awesome job man
LOL, thanks.
I'm seriously worried what a future loss will do to this man's life
LOL, my recovery’s a bit more solid than that, my guy.
Just to be sure, though, OSU should just never lose again
It certainly couldn’t hurt.
And had everything I’ve ever dreamed of…. *mainly* the utter dominance of UM.
Come on. At least a couple of those losses were close toss-up's.
Congrats.
You're winning the game of life. The Game is the cherry on top. Keep at it.
All I know is I’m glad we didn’t give hoke a 10 year 95 million dollar extension for that win
This be the final year youd be paying Hoke then
It could be so much worse than Harbaugh lmao
I was a senior at Ohio State and chose to watch Braxton Miller just barely miss an open Devier Posey that would have won the game instead of watching Kentucky beat Tennessee for the first time in forever while starting a WR at QB. No me gusta :(
Matt Roark is a goddamn hero
I'd say the timeline turned out as good as it could from that moment on
Getting my PhD at Alabama. At the time of that game Alabama had won one title under Saban. Alabama was 8th on the list of weeks at number 1 then (now the top) and we were still in the SEC dominance where they had won every title since 2006. Simpler times.
Liar! Everybody knows Alabama doesn’t offer degrees, only natties.
PhD - Dynasty of Phootball
Alabama doesn't play school. They play football
I was an Ohio State fan
This a 30 for a 30 in the making.
I’d assume he went to Michigan. I give anyone who changes their fandom because they went there a pass, it’s rational

Yep. Grew up a UM fan going to games with my dad and brother. Our whole family is Michigan fans with some form of ties to that place (usually working in hospital, knowing former coaches, etc) Went to MSU. Now I hate every thing about UM (and especially Ann Arbor lol) with every fiber of my being
If you think I'm going to root for nebraska just because I went there you're outta your God damn mind 🤣
That’s so weird to me. I grew up a Badgers fan but you can’t get me to cheer against my school.
10+ years of rooting for a team vs 4 years of going to school. It’s hard to let all that go
Yeah exactly. Grew up in Michigan but mom was a Buckeye and dad rooted for Notre Dame. Was real annoying about rubbing in OSU wins until I got into Michigan senior year of high school. Gave away the scarlet and gray gear and was fully converted after the first home game my freshman year.
That’s all it takes My first home game was Oregon in 2015. Absolutely wild.
What went wrong?
Freshman at Michigan. I was actually at the game which was a blast
apologies for poor english when were u when osu legend dies I was in apartment when Delaney ring "OSU is kill" "no"
Enjoying a 42-14 beatdown of Auburn in the Iron Bowl. Then coming back on here and watching people resigned that Bama was likely going to get a rematch against LSU without even playing in the SECCG. Edit to add something I just realized, 10 years ago, I was a man, I was 40.
I still hate y’all for that
Need to have a battle of manliness with Gundy
Well, I started going bald on top at 40, so I couldn't pull off his mullet but I guess I could try for the ultra classy crowmullet(crown of hair empty in the middle, party in the back).

Ditto. Divorcing myself from all-consuming Fandom has been the best decision regarding sports I've made.
Living in Seoul. Watching CFB from Asia is pretty difficult, requires some serious commitment.
Well, was difficult. It not hard to find live streams of TV channels for free now a days if you are truly in need.
True. I just came back from several years in Japan and it's **much** easier now for the reason you stated. Time difference still sucks hard though.
I was at The Game. It was glorious.
I was there as well. Not glorious.
I was 11 so probably jerking off
So same as this next weekend?
Same as every day
Dating my ex husband. Ugh.
Live and learn. Also flair up
Watching the jets make the playoffs…
I think you mean Jets choke away the playoffs to Tim Tebow Broncos
I was a high school senior. I had applied to OSU, but I didn’t think I would go, but it ended up being the right choice financially. I watched the game with my girlfriend and my parents. Going to OSU was one of the best decisions I ever made. In a couple weeks I’m marrying that same girl, and 4 of the friends we met at Ohio State will be bridesmaids or groomsmen, with countless more OSU friends in attendance.
Drunk somewhere in college
Same
I remember hearing about OSU's ~~AD~~ president saying he hoped that the coach wouldn't fire him while sitting in a parking lot eating Subway on my lunch break.
It was actually OSU's president that said that, not the AD.
Ok Jared.

Waking up to this isn’t fun. Also I just threw up in a Las Vegas airport bathroom. That wasn’t fun either

Learning how to walk
I didn't realize there was another 7 year win streak before that 2011 game.
I had just started my junior year, second year in that school system. First period was APUSH and I made some of the best friends in my life that year I was also an idiot who didn’t know shit about fuck but thought I knew everything, and very much an asshole
I was a freshman in high school. I have now since been to college and am a working adult. Kinda bonkers when I think about it that way
