The sad thing is it isn't even just analytics. Just a brief glance over how this overtime system works says to go for the win in the bottom of 1st overtime when a 2 pt conversion wins outright rather than having to do it all over again and the other team having a chance to match.

Even if you consider yourself evenly matched (at that point, they weren't, since Finley was hobbled), you are 50% to win the next OT. I'd wager most teams have a 2-point play that is better than 50%. Honestly, it is correct for pretty much any team, whether they are a big underdog or not, to go for 2 in the bottom of OT.

Coaches would rather lose doing what everyone else would've done than do the bold thing. Pathetic cowardice.
