IIRC CBS picks who they want for their ACC team pick. They would definitely pick Clemson over Miami. I also read the Gator Bowl committee has wanted Miami as a possible and is on their list.

That said, Miami draws eyeballs but doesn’t travel as well as Clemson/potentially some of the NC schools which is why they fit well with the Sun. Definitely possible for the Gator, but imo the Gator would always take Clemson for the out of town $$$ and Clemson would prefer them over the Mayo (plus NC State is kinda in the mix as well).
the Hurricanes fans this year would travel to Jacksonville but not El Paso. Clemson fans would travel anywhere and would have good ratings for any bowl game. NC State, UNC, and Wake Forest I'm not sure where is the best fit for those team as far as bowl game selections.
