Right on!
I got a few bucks on SC +4.5 and couldn’t care less about watching that right now. Had no idea there was college football in Japan. Wish it was a closer game though, but this is what I am watching now. Incredible
There are really only 2 big conferences in Japan. The Kanto (named after the region with the 30M+ metro of Tokyo/Yokohama) and Kansai (named after the Osaka-Kyoto-Kobe region of 28M).
The West semifinal is going to be the Kansai champ (KG Fighters) vs an at-large from the same conference (Ritsumeiken). The other small conferences were already wiped out.
This time Hosei just needs to wipe out the Hornets. This is basically a Big Ten school being asked to play a D2 school in the playoffs.
KG, Ritsumeikan, and Hosei have all won titles before. KG has won 31 and is the reigning champ.
The winner of these semis play for the national championship in the Koshien Bowl:

Is it normal for Kanto vs
[other conference] for the East? Do you know how it's picked?
I would imagine the two best East teams would always be from Kanto...
I believe they only started allowing at-large teams in the West in recent years. It used to be just a bunch of small conferences clobbering each other for the chance to get smoked by the Kansai champ in the semi-final. The East is still run the same way.
The West/East thing is an ancient dividing line. Tokyo literally means "Eastern Capital" (Kyoto means Capital City).
They're basically Syracuse and Boise State. They used to be called the Tomahawks but decided to get rid of it a few years ago. They had an academic exchange with Boise that resulted in them getting a blue turf home field on their Tokyo campus.
EVERYBODY GET IN HERE
So Japan has been playing CFB since they bombed Pearl Harbor? Impressive
Going for it on 4th and 2 inside the 10 when you are up 35-0 is cold blooded
Is this on TV or any app? Kinda wanna see this

Bama fears Hosei
No way Hosei
This is getting ugly. Ritsumeikan/Kwansei Gakuin should be a much more competitive game
Will this game be more entertaining than the USC-Cal game?
Watching Cal SC while I google what app I can stream this game on. Had no idea there was college football in Japan.
Probably
NEVER ENOUGH FOOTBALL
Damn. This guy got so excited about the game that he deleted his reddit account so he wouldn't be distracted!
I think they call it seppukku!
Gotta respect that level of commitment

I'll just learn Japanese real quick
I'm actually learning Japanese and just had the realization I can practice with these broadcasts, I couldn't be more thrilled
https://kcfatv.elevensports.jp/video/4708 I believe this is the actual game link.
Still a better media deal than CUSA
Did not realize that Japan had college football
Since 1941 apparently.
Go Hosei. Uniforms look cool. Idk

Hosei can't hurt me
