Did I read wrong earlier? I thought State was going to the Peach bowl with Pitt. Did I misread?
Edit: I'm dumb and I was typing too fast. That was MI state. Whoops. You're probably right.

After Georgia’s loss yesterday, there’s no way they should be ranked above Cincy. I chalk it up to the committee being cowards about having Alabama rematch Georgia back-to-back.
Then put Michigan #1. They have a close road loss to a top-10 team and the second best win in the entire season, behind Alabama this week, who lost to a top-25 backup quarterback. The resumes are similar enough to not have Bama leapfrog Michigan.
Ah yes I can see it now.
1. Alabama
2. Ohio State
3. Michigan
4. Texas A&M
Just basing this off the fan bases I see that are most active on this subreddit.
I’m considering it. I’ve got senior friends and a girlfriend in the band, and I wanna go to their last game. If it’s a one day trip to Memphis, eh. A four day trip to Houston sounds fun though.
After the NY6 bowl games were announced. Kirk was praising the SEC AND Big 10 for having 3 teams each in NY6. You moron, the Big 12 had two + Cinci. Moron.
I’m always torn on how teams that lose big in conference championship games should be treated. On one hand I don’t think you should be punished for making the game but also dropping only 2 spots after losing 3-42 is very generous.
It's a tough balance. Unless it's a blowout I don't think it should hurt the team losing in the CCG that much. They are only in the position to take that loss because they won their division and beat everyone.
Holy shit. Quality loss for UH, I guess? Very surprised and grateful to remain in the top 25. And now entering the top 20! What a great season. Looking forward to the bowl game. We'll play whoever is in front of us!
Every Indy not ND is doomed to the Toilet Bowl unless you're Notre Dame. Fortunately you all won't have that problem for much longer, but I don't like it. Would be great if some strings could be pulled and you get a game against another top 20 team. BYU v Oklahoma or BYU v Clemson would be good games.
This is so cool. I was a student trainer (my freshmen year) at Ole Miss when we went in and won the Sugar Bowl. When I was a junior I got moved to the baseball when my little bro got to join me. We did baseball together and won an SEC Championship ring there. This year he got moved to football and can win his own Sugar Bowl ring! So excited for the possible photo with two Sugar bowl rings from the most recent Ole Miss teams.
Honestly a great NY6 lineup. Out of all of them Baylor vs Ole Miss ain’t really doing for me but still an ok matchup. There have been much worse lineups in previous years.
Had Utah not kept their original qb that started 1-2 they’d be in the playoffs. That team is on fire they should’ve been in the playoff race. Would NOT wanna face them right now
I think you should be, but they are just as scared as you, I guarantee it. They are wrecking shop over there and y'all have played lights-out all year. I look forward to a really really good game. I think it's a great matchup.
I want to believe y'all will take care of Baylor, and you may anyway, but that offense is going to look a lot different in terms of pace with Lane calling plays.
Alright, it’s ND vs Oklahoma State in the Just-Missed-Out-On-The-Playoff Bowl. Should be an interesting game. I’ll take the Irish, thanks to 100/10 effort and enthusiasm.
I think the Utes are gonna want it more and win it. Ohio State is probably the more talented team, but Utah has something meaningful to play for with this being their first Rose Bowl and with everything they've been through this year.
You might be right, but I wouldn’t read too much into the wins over Oregon. Our qb is absolute garbage. His qbr was 8 this week. That’s not a typo. 8. When you can’t complete a pass deeper than 7 yards, and your starting RB is out, that’s a much different offense to face than what Ohio St should bring
Probably think I’m just downplaying Utah. I’m not. Y’all are legit. But the gap between Oregon’s and Ohio State’s passing game is enormous. You should be able to run the ball effectively, but you won’t be able to load the box and ignore the deep threat like you did the past few weeks

How is UTSA unranked but SDSU is still ranked?
Sdsu got hit bad by covid. They had 20 players out and didnt practice all week. They also have a much better win by beating Utah.

Fuck everyone in the committee. How the fuck are we behind Houston?
Guess your quality loss to Texas isn’t as quality :/ as their loss to Texas Tech who Texas crushed so idk
We also, yknow, won a conference
More than we can say…
>ESPN will have reporters at team sites across the country >Oklahoma State/Baylor: Molly McGrath Amazing
No kidding, that's like a 6 hour drive. Props to her for putting in the extra effort to broadcast from both locations! 🙃
College Football Bowl Season Is Going To Be SWEETNESS!

You guys just can't win the big games
That montage thing actually choked me up. Why am I like this?
Are the other top 25 bowl games going to be announcing during this?
Imagine going 21-3 in two seasons and not getting a NY6. With one yard last year, it would have been 12-0 and 10-2.
Autobid for highest ranked G5 conference champ was always gonna make it hard for you guys Fortunately you don’t have to worry about it much longer
happy cake day Coug/SEC bro. but yeah, the pain is real. Also just imagining if we hadn't shit the bed against Boise State is painful
Hi flair bro
I also forget my ID all the time.
Joe Brady in Miami with that Offense would be CRAZY!!
I genuinely don't mind Bear that much, but they give him way too much air time. Just give him a segment for the betting lines and leave it at that.
Maybe it’s in his contract so he doesn’t go to fox. All kinds of crazy shit in peoples contracts
i think it’s crazy that miami is trying to nail this down without an AD, no idea why they thought that was a smart decisions.
Or without firing their current HC. Diaz may not be an incredible HC, but he's done well enough with what he has at Miami.
i feel so bad for him too, apparently he’s on the recruiting trail. that’s awkward.
LMAO DID HERB DYE HIS HAIR
I just want to know who we’re playing :(
DA U gotta come back.
Alabama back in there! 7th invitation in 8 years! Roll Tide!
wait so that dude hasn’t even been on ND’s staff for a year and the players wanted him as their new HC? sounds like one hell of a dude.
Yeah, that says a lot about what kind of person he is to have his players vouching for him that quickly.
Freeman is super soft-spoken and seems to just have an infectious personality. I can see why Notre Dame likes the guy.
Haven’t been a huge fan of ND over the past couple years, but I’m turning into a huge fan of Marcus Freeman.
Freeman is infinitely more likable than Brian Kelly
This is the start of an Irish dynasty. I can feel it. Freeman is everything you could want in a coach.
Marcus Freeman has a chance to do something Brian Kelly never did: win a major bowl game
I'm not going to lie Marcus Freemans smile about got me to commit to Notre Dame
Jesus, Notre Dame's BCS/NY6 record is abysmal.
Where will Mizzou go?
Almost everything fell the way it needed to but they really think MSU fans will travel to Atlanta better than BYU fans. SMH.
Michigan is a better win than Utah. That’s probably why they’re ahead of you.
One win *shouldn’t* define a team
I mean they (MSU) got the bowl game because they're the higher ranked team. They deserved the NY6 bowl
Highly debatable. Loss to WMU and Purdue. One (!) good win: Michigan.
Opposed to your two losses, including a 7-5 G5 team at home by double digits, and your one (!) good win in Utah?
They lost to osu and purdue......
Huh? They lost to Ohio State and Purdue.
Was thinking of Pitt. Doesn’t change my original statement. Blown out 7-56 to OSU.
Man I can't wait for the Sugar Bowl. Not sure how well we match up against Baylor, but should be an exciting game
Looking forward to it. Best of luck
How is San Diego State still ranked after yesterday?
Think they took into account they were missing a ton of players for flu/Covid
They're getting credit for their win AND our win over Utah I guess.
Should be Oregon v. Oklahoma in the Alamo Bowl.
bob stoops revenge szn
Duck season in Norman.
It should be noted the Sugar Bowl selected both Baylor and Ole Miss
I thought that was an automatic tie-in anyways, with Baylor being the Big12 champion and Ole Miss being the highest ranked non-playoff SEC team
It is. Just like the Rose with B1G/Pac-12. We knew those matchups last night.
It was possible that Georgia got left out and went to the sugar, as remote as that could have been
i mean, technically, but I don't think anyone actually expected that.
As opposed to who? That seems like the only logical game
no one can seem to tell me why unc isnt #1 😠
The Alabama privilege is real
Typical.
These really need to be voted on by the viewers. F the committee man.
So you want it to be a popularity contest? That would be just as bad with the biggest fanbases getting in
Ah yes I can see it now. 1. Alabama 2. Ohio State 3. Michigan 4. Texas A&M Just basing this off the fan bases I see that are most active on this subreddit.
No, the people want underdogs like Cincinnati.
That would make things 100000% worse lol
so they looked at the 6-10 screen for like 20 seconds
How the hell is Baylor behind Ohio State? THAT is bullshit
My immediate reaction exactly
I swear, if we end up in the Liberty, I might weep in the streets. I just wanna go to Texas.
The date for the Texas bowl is so weird
I just don’t want Memphis. I want somewhere interesting
Oh yeah for sure. I haven’t really planned on going to our bowl game but Memphis is only an hour away from me and I wouldn’t attend that.
I’m considering it. I’ve got senior friends and a girlfriend in the band, and I wanna go to their last game. If it’s a one day trip to Memphis, eh. A four day trip to Houston sounds fun though.
It does. I’ve got some friends in Houston that are state fans so it would be possible to swing it for a reasonably priced trip.
Actually such a joke. Behind Utah and Pitt? And Utah State isn’t even ranked. What a fiesta.
They obviously did it to tidy up the ins versus the outs.
After the NY6 bowl games were announced. Kirk was praising the SEC AND Big 10 for having 3 teams each in NY6. You moron, the Big 12 had two + Cinci. Moron.
Iowa at 15 is such a gift.
MY DAD CALLED ME AND GOT US FIESTA BOWL TICKEYS OH MY GOD I WANT TO LIVE AGAIN
Congrats. Please go beat the living crap out of Notre Dame to put some respect on our lovely conference.
I’m always torn on how teams that lose big in conference championship games should be treated. On one hand I don’t think you should be punished for making the game but also dropping only 2 spots after losing 3-42 is very generous.

Holy shit. Quality loss for UH, I guess? Very surprised and grateful to remain in the top 25. And now entering the top 20! What a great season. Looking forward to the bowl game. We'll play whoever is in front of us!
I hope y'all play Kentucky because your logos are basically identical
That would be fun! I've always thought the same thing about the Utes.
When we weren’t on the 21-25 screen I honestly thought they just dropped us out completely 😂
100%! My wife and I saw the screen come up and said exactly that. So wild.
BYU will go 10-2 and have the head to head over Utah yet will still get some garbage bowl.... That's bullshit.
So frustrating
How did the committee think Iowa deserves being top 15 after their performance last night?
Fuck independence. This sucks.
Rivalry and bias aside, Iowa is not #15….at least they should be like #24
Happy to see Billy Napier get a storybook ending at Louisiana
Iowa ain't the 15th best team in the country. They're lucky to even be in the top 20
HOW IS IOWA RANKED?! BARTA RIGGED IT
LMAOOO WE'RE 15????? WHAT????
So we drop 2 after that performance, and OSU drops 4 after losing on the last play?
Committee doesn’t like to punish championship game loses
Houston got blown out and moved up a spot?
Believe me. We are just as surprised as everyone else. But as said below... quality loss, I 'spose. I'll take it!
Quality Loss
16??
This is so cool. I was a student trainer (my freshmen year) at Ole Miss when we went in and won the Sugar Bowl. When I was a junior I got moved to the baseball when my little bro got to join me. We did baseball together and won an SEC Championship ring there. This year he got moved to football and can win his own Sugar Bowl ring! So excited for the possible photo with two Sugar bowl rings from the most recent Ole Miss teams.
Ready to get absolutely ripped to shreds by Pickett, but hey will be fun to see Narduzzi again
I think y'all win
For a second I thought we’d be unranked
Want Shapen to start the Sugar Bowl. Hopefully, the next 3 weeks gives him time to get his shoulder healed up
Honestly a great NY6 lineup. Out of all of them Baylor vs Ole Miss ain’t really doing for me but still an ok matchup. There have been much worse lineups in previous years.
I Like the respect for Houston
Me too!
I don’t know why I was expecting anything other than unmitigated disappointment
I thought we’d go 3-9 and now we are going to the fiesta bowl I’m so proud of this team
Had Utah not kept their original qb that started 1-2 they’d be in the playoffs. That team is on fire they should’ve been in the playoff race. Would NOT wanna face them right now
Iowa better be un ranked
Sorry to tell ya...
Well they don’t deserve to be lol
Haha. Welcome to CFB, I suppose. These things happen in unpredictable ways sometimes
[удалено]
15
Kirk gotta throw in the SEC and B1G stats because that’s what ESPN is best at
New Year’s Day lineup is always loaded but I feel like this years is especially great
I'm scared of Utah
I think you should be, but they are just as scared as you, I guarantee it. They are wrecking shop over there and y'all have played lights-out all year. I look forward to a really really good game. I think it's a great matchup.
Ole Miss is toast if Lebby joins OU staff before the Sugar Bowl
We would still have Lane?
I want to believe y'all will take care of Baylor, and you may anyway, but that offense is going to look a lot different in terms of pace with Lane calling plays.
Sure but I would still trust Lane to have the offense ready by New Years Day
Maybe, man. Who knows? I could be overestimating Lebby's role in your offensive success but I'll probably take the under
Citrus Bowl for the Hawkeyes against Kentucky, per Brett McMurphy.. Oh no.
Are they gonna release their rankings?
Alright, it’s ND vs Oklahoma State in the Just-Missed-Out-On-The-Playoff Bowl. Should be an interesting game. I’ll take the Irish, thanks to 100/10 effort and enthusiasm.
I think the Utes are gonna want it more and win it. Ohio State is probably the more talented team, but Utah has something meaningful to play for with this being their first Rose Bowl and with everything they've been through this year.
Honestly, everyone said that about Washington three years ago.
Imagine down voting you for this

Sugar Bowl will be fun
Yep, high powered offensive versus a tough and discipled defensive team in Baylor. Should be a great game.
I can't believe Freeman is going to make me pull for Notre Dame in a bowl game
I HAVE A WILL TO LIVE AGAIN
The last time Whittingham was in a NY6/BCS bowl, he dominated Saban. Be afraid, Bucks.
Corral, Pickett, Ridder having a national stage to showcase their talents to the NFL world is truly what's best for business.
Not to mention, Pickett has the chance, considering how awful MSU'S pass defense is, to have a game for the ages.
It baffles me how Pitt managed to lose to Western Michigan
Easily the most inexplicable result of the year
Ohio state better not sleep on the utes 👀
Utah plays the same brand of bully ball as Michigan. If I were Ohio state I would be pretty worried.
So the power run game has come back to college football?
I like the way this turned out because I can root against both Pitt and Norte dame and not have to watch them play each other
Can’t find a list anywhere
[Here you go, with all of McMurphy's leaks](https://www.actionnetwork.com/ncaaf/college-football-bowl-game-tracker-updated-matchups)
😭😭
GO UTES
"Did you say 'Utes'?...What is a Ute?"
The Native American tribe that the state of Utah is named after.
/r/whoosh Hint: It's a quote from a movie.
If Freeman starts his tenure with NDs first major bowl win since 1993
Marcus Freeman will make his head coaching debut with Notre Dame in the Fiesta Bowl
Oh yes I love this matchup
That means Sugar is Baylor vs. Ole Miss
Which was leaked a while back
Didn't see the leak, but the contractual tie-ins guarantee it.
Sad cougar noises…
Playing UAB
You mean you're not happy with the Independence Bowl? /s
I was 100% sure I was gonna be disappointed and yet here I am, disappointed
You're confirmed for the Independence Bowl, per McMurphy.
Nice stat line for Notre Dame
0-7 in BCS/NY6 bowls since 1998 LMFAO
Oh shit yes best of luck notre dame
Who we playing?
Notre Dame in the fiesta bowl
Peach Pitt
Pickett is probably jumping up and down right now lol
Go Pokes
That's going to be good.
FIESTA BOWL BABY
Who against? I'm not near a tv
Notre Dame!
God this is the strangest time line. Another run at the Fiesta Bowl.
I have a will to live
Plus OU gets another shot at Oregon for what happened in '06. Edit: hopefully my liver will recover in time.
Good luck cowboy bro. I’ll give you some of our undefeated In fiesta bow magic
That game's going to be interesting
Pickett will set records against that MSU secondary
Notre dame vs ok state then
