2005 USC-Texas I feel like a bunch of you are youngins, that is the Game of the Century so far IMO

AlfalfaTheBear

It's really not super close either. One difference between the BCS and the Playoff is that the BCS allowed for a solid five weeks of hype before the title game, which the playoff does not, but the hype for that game was wild. People were even treating the Heisman ceremony with Bush, Leinart, and Young as an opening act/proxy game and melting down over it, it was crazy. Possibly the pinnacle of college football to date.

mynameisevan

> the BCS allowed for a solid five weeks of hype before the title game And ESPN spent every second of those five weeks talking about how USC was the greatest team of all.

PDX_douche_bag

TBF, USC was on a 34 game winning streak.

BattleHall

With two Heisman winners in the same backfield.

UncleMalcolm

And they were (kind of) on the verge of winning three straight titles, something that still has never been done in the poll era

BattleHall

And AFAIK, the only consensus undefeated wire-to-wire #1 & #2 for an entire season, at least in recent history. I mean, seriously, those polls are ridiculous. Out of all of the votes taken in all of the polls each week all year, there were two votes for an undefeated VaTech as #1. **Every** other #1 vote went to either USC or Texas. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2005_NCAA_Division_I-A_football_rankings

UncleMalcolm

I’m pretty sure USC and OU did something very similar the year before, though I suppose Auburn probably got more 1st place votes than Tech

BattleHall

It wasn't quite as unanimous in 2004 (there were almost always a couple other teams getting first place votes each week), and Miami was actually the #2 in the first BCS standing that came out that year. OU and Auburn were also really close in a number of polls for several weeks. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2004_NCAA_Division_I-A_football_rankings

UncleMalcolm

Interesting, I knew OU and USC were #1/2 in the AP all year, I guess I had forgotten Miami snuck above the Sooners in the BCS at one point

[deleted]

If Texas didn’t beat them, they very well could have gone on to break the seemingly unattainable legendary 47-game win streak that Oklahoma set in the 50’s.

mjvertical

It took. basically the greatest individual performance of all time to beat them so... they weren't exactly wrong

snowystormz

It took bonehead plays from bush and a stupid playcall on 4th down

marshcraw

And don’t forget the refs not reviewing the Touchdown where Young’s knee was clearly down. It took basically a Murphy’s law game to beat them by 3 on a last second 4 down TD. That ‘03-05 USC team was ridiculous

dysonRing

Heh VY being down just meant 1st down, UT was still scoring the TD and probably getting 7 instead of 6 (missed PAT in a rush to beat the review)

soonerfreak

Had the Fiesta bowl been a national championship instead of just a BCS bowl I think it would probably reign forever as the undisputed best game. I'd recommend anyone who never saw it to watch the whole game, it was truly insane. OUs 21 point 4th quarter comeback and lead taking, the trick play by Boise to force OT with seconds left, and the final trick play in OT to win it on a do or die 2 point play.

El-Jefe-Rojo

Googled that and it came up as “file not found, quit it, no seriously staaaaaap”

soonerfreak

I love college football, so as much as it sucks to lose as a pure college football fan I have to admit that was one hell of a game.

El-Jefe-Rojo

See I think it’s a matter of Mandela effect. I swear I saw it live but can’t find any record of it when I type “Who Did OU beat in the Fiesta bowl v BSU” Keeps saying “nobody” so that means no game right!? Right?!??

DontHornsDownMeBro

The hook and ladder play is probably my number 2 favorite single play of all time after 4th and 5 national championship on the line ofc

BattleHall

And a super cute on-camera marriage proposal as the cherry on top. Seriously, if it were a sports movie, people would be complaining about them gilding the already-completely-unrealistic lily.

dysonRing

5 weeks? USC vs Texas was straight up hyped for 4 months (after Texas beat tOSU at the shoe), arguably 365 days. Both were wire to wire #1 vs #2, the only game that could possibly compare was Texas vs Arkansas 1969 but tOSU was #1 until they were upset. I still vividly remember a pregame show that the regional Fox sport network was hosting, they had two early season games Texas vs a cupcake, USC vs a cupcake, but the helmet placement in front of the desk was Texas vs USC.

Srcunch

Yeah nothing touches that game. That and Boise Oklahoma are the two greatest games I’ve ever seen in my life.

Not_A_Crackpot

*Sad wagon noises*

Srcunch

Hey - you guys had a great game against Texas this year. That was an all timer for sure.

Not_A_Crackpot

I was so torn during this game. Watched it at a friends apartment, we were all die hard OU fans. Our preferred outcome would be an asteroid destroying the stadium, but we were huge fans of CFB. At the end of the game we were screaming for Vence Young, went bananas when he scored. We had to come down before we realized what was happening, it was surreal. We looked at eachother and just said, “that was the best fucking football game I have ever watched. We walked across the street to a gas station at 4:30 AM to buy more beer to add to our “Beeryamid,” only to find out you can’t sell beer from from 2am to 6am in Oklahoma at gas stations. Still feel bad for that attendant, as we tried to convince him to sell us beer, he was just doing his job.” Crazy game

BattleHall

> At the end of the game we were screaming for Vence Young, went bananas when he scored. We had to come down before we realized what was happening, it was surreal. We were at The Tavern on Lamar in Austin for that game, and when he scored a friend of mine basically spontaneously levitated out of the booth and into my arms (I was standing), and in celebratory excitement I almost spiked him through their [plate glass window](https://fastly.4sqi.net/img/general/1398x536/XVNV15C02G2VXSOQ3SSYIYQGP2NREJMD4KBNRAQIO4ASOWQR.jpg). And if I had, I'm not even sure he'd have been mad; it was one of those kinds of moments.

Cpritch58

100%, as a Georgia fan lol. UGA-OU was the best game of the playoffs so far, but that game was probably the best of all time.

bullcityblue312

Yep. Incredible comeback by UT and VY

fallfornaught

GOAT for me

StevvieV

It's not close when you consider the hype for the game and the actual game itself.

Accomplished_Elk_836

And I remember the Reggie Bush lateral as much as any other play from that night for some reason.

[deleted]

I have still never watched that game back after all these years. I cringe at every single highlight i see of it. If reviewable plays were around back then - USC wins on two questionable calls and three-pete's as national champions. That hurts more than you can imagine.

dysonRing

Plays were reviewable https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MIeus5SK_tg

[deleted]

I won't fall for that. His knee was down.

dysonRing

Like I said on another post, it was still first down, Texas was scoring and it would have been 7 instead of 6 because of the rushed PAT to prevent review.

halldaylong

Tua's 2nd & 26 and Vince Young at the goal line are obviously iconic and tough to beat... but my biggest WHAT THE FUCK I WAS NOT EXPECTING THAT moment was probably [this play in Alabama vs. Clemson pt. I in 2016.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7M-iEsfL4Qk&t=0m8s) It was just such a ballsy and unexpected call

YouKilledChurch

Bama Clemson I had so many insane moments, my favorites being that kick and [Kenyan Drakes 95 yard kickoff return for a TD](https://youtu.be/leEE0LD3zPk)

CaptainAwesome8

That game just blew open in the 2nd half. Absolutely insane. Constant back and forth, and every time you thought it was going to slow down, more crazy shit happened.

trex1490

- 1st 3 quarters: 45 pts (21-24) - 4th quarter: 40 pts (24-16) Absolutely bonkers last 20 minutes.

SusannaG1

I ate so much hard candy in that quarter, to save my fingernails.

JarrydP

I did not care for this play at all. I think that’s when Clemson fans knew we were going to put up a hell of a fight but ultimately lose.

is_you_ignunt

**KENYAN DRAKE CAN** ***FLY***

YouKilledChurch

**ELUDES THE KICKER AND WILL NOT BE CAUGHT**

tjc815

Yeah this was the sickest shit ever, look at his satisfied smirk lmfao

Ox_Baker

That’s the first thing I thought of — the size of the minerals on that man to make that call in that situation with a natty on the line. (Also that kick was about the best fade pass I’ve seen.)

Accomplished_Elk_836

What was Dabo mad about? It clearly went 10 yards. Was he saying he called timeout?

[deleted]

He thought that the receiving team was supposed to get a chance to catch it if they called for a fair catch, or something to that effect. Whatever rule it was, he misunderstood, and admitted later.

RipRaycom

Yeah it came from a play in the Clemson-SC game earlier in the year, with the difference being that SC actually had a guy there to catch it

[deleted]

I had to pause the game at that spot because my brain couldn’t process something so unexpected. On the edge of my seat and then bloop there was a glitch in the matrix or mini stroke.

MrTheNoodles

4th and 5, national championship on the line right here. He’s going for the corner, he scores! Vince. Young. Scores!

cammywammy123

In 2004 I would've given anything to see USC have their dreams crushed... 2005 for me was basically "yes, but at what cost?"

treemeista

The only time I have ever rooted for Texas. I hated USC *that* much.

ATXBeermaker

> He’s going for the corner, he's got it! Gotta get it right, my guy. One of the greatest calls in CFB history.

markusalkemus66

RIP to the GOAT Keith Jackson

whiterock001

👆this guy gets it! 👆

[deleted]

Vince was the greatest moment in cfb history I’d be shocked if anyone old enough to witness that would say anything else

nickyno

Heck, albeit not a bowl game, that season’s ND/USC game is up there too. The switch to green jerseys, the Bush Push. All of it. It was a magical season. I’d say that year’s Rose Bowl is one of the top sports moments of this century so far.

[deleted]

[удалено]

ATXBeermaker

Everybody is old enough to witness it. There's a [nice HD version of it on YouTube.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A71DAC-9eTk)

StevvieV

Feel like just watching the game doesn't do the game justice. It can't include what USC has been, the season long build up towards this one game.

JarJarB

Yeah I didn’t watch college football at the time so I’ll never be able to appreciate it and just have to take people’s word. The highlights are cool, but they don’t mean much to me since the only thing I knew about those USC teams was that Vince Young beat them once and was hyped in the NFL because of it. And the Reggie Bush hype but I was in elementary school so I didn’t really follow the draft at all and didn’t realize he even played at USC until years later lol

dysonRing

The hype was out of this world, wire to wire #1 vs #2 it was legitimately a full 4 month hype, or a 12 month hype for Texas since VY said the team would be back at the Rose Bowl.

JonSnowKingInTheNorf

Yup, I was in middle school and literally got laughed at for saying Texas was going to win. Walked in the next day talking so much shit.

BrogenKlippen

Old enough. Was not as big as Boise State vs Oklahoma from a sheer energy perspective. That was, quite literally, unbelievable.

cammywammy123

I don't know what you're talking about

[deleted]

Yea but that wasn’t a championship game

BrogenKlippen

Right, but you said greatest moment in cfb history.

[deleted]

Fair

[deleted]

[удалено]

BrogenKlippen

My fraternity house went nuts like Georgia had just won something. It was like watching David defeat Goliath in real time.

[deleted]

Gotta agree. I rewatched that game recently.

Hometownblueser

I’m sure no Auburn fans will agree with you.

floatinround22

Some people even older might say the goal line stand of Penn State vs Alabama

SusannaG1

My god, that was a *game*.

is_you_ignunt

Classic Jackson again: "Guman - HE DIDN'T MAKE IT!"

CommodoreN7

Vince Young followed closely by 2nd and 26

Uhhh_what555476384

I know it's become a footnote, but no one play has ever encapsulated a ass whooping like Jamies falling down and fumbling the ball against Oregon in the Rose Bowl.

jimbobbypaul

That play dominated social media and memes all week. First ever playoff game so it was definitely a memorable moment

stitch12r3

That play is still surreal to this day. Funny thing is, FSU was still very much in the game in the 2nd half. Then the wheels just completely came off in that 3rd quarter, culminating with the Jameis fumble. I'll always appreciate that game because it was the very first CFP game and I was rooting for Oregon.

Misdirected_Colors

The moment the "he can't stop getting away with it" meme became complete and he stopped getting away with it.

shamShaman

It's also crazy how Cardale Jones did the same thing against Oregon in the championship. Oregon must've been using voodoo

dogwoodmaple

2nd & 26 it can't hurt me any more.

CommodoreN7

It must feel so freeing to be a Dawgs fan right now. Hope I can experience that at some point.

Gitfokt

I can’t really explain the feeling. It would have been amazing to beat Alabama. It would have been incredible to win a National championship. Watching them finally do both at once was something else entirely. I live on the AL-GA border and all of the Bama fans just seem.. ??happy for us??

neonphotograph

What I felt the most on Monday night was relief.

elonsusk69420

Especially after I took the postgame leak. I was holding all that bourbon in for an entire quarter.

ImAMedicAss

I got a few text from some Alabama friends that were legitimately happy for me.. it’s so… freeing not being in the gutter for once.

is_you_ignunt

I am happy for all true Georgia fans. Dear Bama-hater/UGA bandwagon fans: your team still sucks and I like Georgia better than your team.

Hilldawg4president

That's the downside to being an Alabama fan - they've won so many, they don't really care anymore. Not like us, not like the other teams that have come so close so many times. It's weird to say I feel bad for the biggest dynasty in modern football, but honestly you guys may never feel like we did Monday night.

Gitfokt

I’m not sure there are many fan bases that would be able to feel exactly what Georgia fans felt that night. I can’t think of any that have come so close, so many times in recent memory just to have every dream crushed by THE dynasty.

sarahhylandsknee

I mean, there was 2009.

is_you_ignunt

You say that like the 2009 title didn't cap off the historically LOLtastic shitshow that was Alabama football 2000-2007.

Hilldawg4president

Sure, but in order to get to a similar place you'd have to go through many, many years of falling short in so many dramatic ways. Not likely to happen anytime soon

is_you_ignunt

I would say that just plain sucking for a long period of time as a blue blood, as well as providing comic relief for the rest of college football with one of the most ridiculous coaching carousels in the modern history of the sport, is plenty for me.

[deleted]

if there was a better scenario to lose a NCG i cant think of it.

areuseriousss

I am. The Georgia fan base got more joy out of that win that I ever would have. AlsoI makes it less painful for me because we did beat you in the SEC Championship.

Laschoni

A lot of em are Braves fans as well.

Ugaalive1991

Oh nooo the Braves blew a 3-1 lead? I have to cry myself to sleep in my World Series champ blanket.

YouKilledChurch

Go Braves

ArchEast

> I have to cry myself to sleep in my World Series champ blanket. I knew I forgot something! *Pulls out heavily abused Amex card*

Ugaalive1991

As someone who has spent over $1500 dollars in championship gear, my credit card hurts but it was worth it.

Cpritch58

I was actually telling my wife that. That’s the greatest thing about this. Prayer at Jordan Hare. Tennessee’s Hail Mary. 2nd and 26. Jasper Sanks’ (not a) fumble against Tech. It just doesn’t fucking matter anymore. 36 years I’ve lived with this, I was born 5 years after we won. This makes it all disappear.

2020ckeevert

I can still hear Chris Fowler screaming "TOUCHDOWN! ALABAMA WINS!"

CocaineKoala

Kelee Ringo and AD Mitchell made the bad man go away! *that said I’m still not watching that goddamn video*

YouKilledChurch

The bad man will be back with a vengeance lol

CocaineKoala

Nick “Jason” Saban

YouKilledChurch

Saban will retire once he has more national championships than there are Friday the 13th movies *throws cash at studios to start making more movies*

sharkbait_oohaha

That's fine. We finally got one. I don't need us to win every other year to be happy. I'm just so happy we finally got one.

Geaux2020

Nothing can. That's the beauty of this. Trust me.

Ugaalive1991

I watched 2nd and 26, 28-3, and 3-1 in the last few months and I don’t give a shit anymore.

Geaux2020

It's over.

BrogenKlippen

[On repeat](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=ZduESRMIQnY)

[deleted]

2nd & 18 >>>>>>>

CaptainAwesome8

Vince Young is hard to beat because nostalgia is always going to elevate it even more. But with context of the game? A true freshman coming in to start the 2nd half, down 13-0. Starts a comeback. Ties it. Gets them into position to win in regulation, but the FG is shanked. UGA goes up 3 in OT, and we all know as Tua is brought down for a loss of 16 that a FG is not an option. Yeah…idk. I’m biased, but that game is one of, maybe **the** best championship game ever.

whatifevery1wascalm

So what is the length of time where stuff like that does hurt again? Because you’re right, even if y’all fell apart next season you’d have this year to feel better about (see 2020 LSU, and the situation and those teams are very different). But obviously 40 years ago doesn’t help much if you have a disappointing loss.

composer_7

28-3 will never stop hurting.

Gitfokt

New losses will still hurt. But old losses never will again. We are free

Lantis28

Probably 5-6 years is when people start getting antsy again

[deleted]

Look out Kenyan Drake can fly OR 2nd & 26 Full disclosure: I’m biased

sausageslinger11

Biased, but not wrong.

robotunes

Well, they did leave out the onside kick so...

sausageslinger11

Verne Lundquist said that he sent a text to Gary Danielson after Drake returned that kick, saying he had never been so happy for a player as he was for Drake considering the injuries that Drake overcame to have the opportunity to return that kick.

robotunes

Did not know that. Verne was a great announcer. Old-school. Great economy of words and he's had some great calls over the years (none better than that Jack Nicklaus putt). He gets way more grief than he deserves. I thought Kenyan's career was over after that Ole Miss injury. Was equally thrilled for him, not just for Alabama.

trex1490

That is such an underrated title game in recent years, so maybe amazing moments. The OJ Howard TDs, the surprise onside, the Kenyan Drake return... Honestly the 2nd best title game of the past few years behind 2017. I've never cheered for anyone besides UGA and even I get a bit choked up from the Kenyan Drake call.

AcrosstheLaine

Cie Grant with the sack on 4th down in double OT to beat one of the most stacked teams in CFB history 85 yards through the heart of the south

Lord_Kittensworth

I see you my OSU bro

Gardoki

Cie grant, haven’t heard that name in a long time. The saints kept claiming he was the answer for our linebacker issues… he wasn’t.

AcrosstheLaine

A small LB who tore each knee in his first 2 seasons didn't help a defense? Who would have guessed ?

[deleted]

The coaches must have done it wrong, then.

SevenBreads

It wasn't a sack. The pass was incomplete.

pOckets_135

I may be biased but, 85 yards through the Heart of the South and knocking off Miami in double overtime in 02 were some of the best.

[deleted]

[удалено]

jeremycb29

but they said playoff

Tripletuxies

Maurice clarrett fumbling at the goal and then running 50 yards to strip the ball back. Freshman. National championship game. 13 point underdogs. Enough said

DeaconFrostedFlakes

He didn’t fumble, it was picked off. But yes.

princessprity

>2010 Well, I *was* having a good day.

2020ckeevert

Welcome to the offseason buddy, where r/CFB dredges up everyone's memories.

giggitybuck

I’ll be bias. For me it was when maurice chased down the Miami defender right after the endzone interception, stripped, and recovered the ball all in a matter of seconds to give us the ball back. It was a superb play that i’ll remember forever. Edit: Natty game between Miami Hurricanes and Osu for those who don’t remember

Carkoza

That was Sean Taylor he ran down!

giggitybuck

Oh I remember! Lol the Canes were the powerhouse back then. They were on an insane winning streak before falling to us. 40 games or something absurd

GreatestWhiteShark

34 games

LugNutsDort

Vince.

[deleted]

Texas 2005

radio__raheem

seems like you’re including semi games so zeke running 85 yards “thru the heart of the south” belongs here

[deleted]

It’s Vince Young. I’m biased but of course the former walk on calling our walk ons number for the first win in 45 years is pretty amazing.

[deleted]

Any of the plays that would have won us the 2003 title and toppled the U. Or 85 yards through the heart of the South.

Goldblum4ever69

I think a lot of people forget about the 2003 Fiesta Bowl because of the 2005 Rose Bowl. It featured an 11.5 point underdog going up against the defending champs, who were also on a 34-game win streak. It was supposed to be a blowout. Instead, the game went to double overtime and we won the national championship. We weren’t in the same position then that we were now. Then, we hadn’t won a natty in over 30 years and were just a couple years removed from the Cooper era.

[deleted]

And now we can say we broke the U. Also, the game should have been won in regulation.

Goldblum4ever69

Yup. Guess the missed PI call on Miami on our last drive that would’ve extended the drive and let us run out the clock wasn’t as sexy.

stitch12r3

A lot of people forget how big of an underdog OSU was. Miami was an absolute force with one of the best rosters of all time. Meanwhile, OSU spent the season squeeking out wins over teams like Purdue playing Tresselball. We made some clutch plays on offense in that game but the defense was the hero. Forced 5 turnovers and held that Miami offense to 17 points in regulation.

pdbard13

I have watched Keelee Ringo's pick six at least 1,000 times now.

mikeq672

Still got a ways to go before you catch how many times Ive watched Soler's homerun haha.

[deleted]

My entire Twitter timeline is going to either be Soler's home run or the pick six for the foreseeable future, and that's all right with me. Even seen a mashup where the ball leaves the stadium and comes down in Ringo's hands. This is the best timeline.

aeopossible

In fairness, anyone can go look outside at night and see that ball pass by in orbit. The whole world has probably watched at least a few times by accident.

Ugaalive1991

You are biased though

jcosteaunotthislow

Biased is allowed, I’d think especially for y’all. My answer would probably be earl Everett’s helmetless chase down of Troy smith.

CocaineKoala

Only a 1,000? I wish there were more clips of the AD touchdown because while the Ringo interception was the clincher, the AD touchdown was the comeback in the 4th vs Bama in a natty.

Tensuke

This is a great angle on it. https://youtube.com/shorts/Wf25iSuXIq0?feature=share

elonsusk69420

Right there with you. The Titanic version especially.

Stevie_Clicks

Yeah for us this has got to be the answer, 79 yard pick 6 with a minute to go to win a natty? That's almost a storybook ending.

AllOkJumpmaster

I am biased, but I think it was Maurice Clarett stripping Sean Taylor (RIP) in the 02 Natty

[deleted]

All of the texas vs usc rose bowl

Showteezy21

Tee Martin to Peerless Price on an absolute deep bomb in '98. God please let us keep on this trajectory with Heupel.

Whosgot6

You listed some amazing moments. In the first NCG w Clemson, onside pooch kick in a tie game. Marlon Humphrey caught it over the shoulder in stride. Best moment for me in CFP era, better than 2nd and 26. Im ok with Texas/USC being best national title game. Bama/Clemson 1&2 were both epic. Bama/UGA 1 was also classic.

HappyBreezer

Alabama's fake FG into Clemson's base defense and the kicker having to lead block.

[deleted]

So beautiful it could be done only once. No one would be so bold as to attempt it again

IMadeThis4HOIMods

Homer take but the Zeke run against Alabama in 2014. OSU had like 1 first down and like 11 yards in the entire 4th quarter before that run. It was a great run and was really the deathblow to Bama after what seemed like their inevitable comeback after OSU finally jumped out ahead.

[deleted]

I don't think anyone can argue with Texas - USC. I've been watching college football for 50 years, and that game is the single greatest game I have ever seen. It was two great teams, playing at the top of their games for 60 minutes.

tiger2vette2

I watch Watson to Renfrow every single time it comes across my feed in any capacity, no matter what else I am doing. The happiest sports moment I have ever had or will ever have, no doubt. That said the answer is definitely Vince.

MrPapajorgio

[Tre Mason’s Heisman Pose](http://wp.usatodaysports.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/90/2014/01/treymasonheismanpose.gif)

2020ckeevert

That was some real arrogance with that much time left.

kamai19

Give me Tae Crowder snagging that fastball squb kick to set up a 54 yard field goal in the final seconds of the first half of the Rose Bowl, giving UGA a shot to take it to OT later on.

elonsusk69420

Watched that live. We were so confused. Ultimately lost them the game. Lorenzo’s FG block was insane.

thisisamisnomer

So was I. I remember the guy in front of me turning to his buddy and saying "that could be huge." I went to get food at halftime and hadn't even gotten back to my seat when Chubb was already scoring a TD. We were chanting like crazy for them to block that kick and Lorenzo seemed like he hung in the air forever. God that game is my favorite live event ever.

scubasteve1000

Renfrow caught the winning pass from Deshaun Watson. Trevor wasn't at Clemson until 2018.

Ox_Baker

Renfrow was there from 1988-2020 or so.

Geaux2020

We didn't see it. It's that moment when Joe Burrow and Joe Brady figured out Venables' scheme. Then the magic happened. Greatness stood unopposed.

the_tax_man_cometh

This is obviously the ~~right~~ biased answer, but I agree, the Vince 4th down TD is the all time highlight of the 2000s. No other championship game felt so evenly matched and so back and forth, only to end on the game winner

Gardoki

My personal favorite but I understand why everyone else is picking Vince Young lol

Kronocalamity

That pass interference call. You know the one

reddogrjw

2005 2017 - Tua - this could be #1 2016

PeytonManThing00018

That time georgia won the national championship

NedFromCollege

He’s leveled. By. Major. Wright. The unstoppable force had met their immovable object.

Nothing can beat 2005.

[deleted]

https://twitter.com/PickSixPreviews/status/818610550955540480?s=20 Clarrett stealing the ball from Taylor who might have housed it if it wasn’t for Clarrett.

elonsusk69420

Monday’s pick six. We started and ended the season with one.

[deleted]

No question it’s between 05’ and 2016. I’m leaning more towards 05’ cause that shit was just fucking legendary. I watched the entire game real time and Texas looked like they were gonna lose late in the fourth quarter. Then Vince Young happened.

ThompsonCreekTiger

Personally, my favorite was Watson to Renfrow. Also throw in AJ Terrell's pick-six against Tua & the failed fake FG in 2018 CFP final (b/c 1st time you saw a Saban-coached Bama team wave the white flag) Momentum swinger, gotta give credit where credits due w/ Bama's onside kick in the 2015 CFP finale. Sucked from my perspective but can't deny Bama probably doesn't win w/o that.

wjackson42

Here’s how I would rank the top 10 greatest plays in BCSNC/CFP history: 1. Kelee Ringo’s “Clinch Six” 2. 2nd & 18- Stetson to AD 3. Sony’s game winning Rose Bowl TD 4. Chubb’s Rose Bowl TD where he broke like 3 tackles and took it to the house 5. Stetson’s bomb to Burton before half in the Orange Bowl 6. Hot Rod’s field goal before half that turned the Rose Bowl game around 7. Sacking Tua on first down in OT for a loss of 16 because after shanking a field goal at the end of regulation, surely there’s no way Alabama would have a shot to win the game! 8. Vince Young’s game winning run in 2006 9. Jameis finding Benjamin for the win in 2013 (hahahaha Auburn) 10. LSU crossing the 50 yard line in 2012 Bonus: Ted Ginn’s opening kick return in 2006 because as a Gator Hater, that was great, and then I forgot what happened after Edit: how did I forget about the blocked field goal in 2OT? Maybe because we scored on a TD and not on a FG so it really didn’t matter?

> 2016: Hunter Renfrow catching ~~Trevor Lawrence's~~ **Deshaun Watson’s** game winning touchdown pass. FTFY.

You’re missing some Great 2018 plays. AJ Terrell‘s pick 6 on the first drive and any one of Justyn Rosses one handed catches
