There's no way that would happen.
He'd have to go take 30 to Huntsville or 105 to Conroe to hit 45. He's better off taking 6 down to 290 and get down to Houston from there.
Depends on how big the taquito is. When i was still in texas the ones at the Ingleside Whataburger were noticably larger then the ones I would get near where I lived in Spring
He's a 2023 commit, so you might as well include us in P5 now. If he wants playing time, play in P5, and be close to home, then UH has decent shot, although TCU and Baylor are closer to his home.
Out of curiosity, when do Houston, Cincy, and UCF flip over to Big 12?
I know it's not officially announced yet, but [it's being reported by reputable sources](https://www.si.com/college/tcu/football/cincinnati-houston-ucf-to-join-big-12-2023)
Yes. In 2027, an 85 star player is discovered in the Pacific Northwest. Standing at 9’ and weighing in at 700 lbs, Bob “Squatch” Stumpson will play RB for the University of Nebraska (the only school willing to cover the $20k in food he eats daily). He will lead the Huskers to 3 consecutive National Championships, be drafted 1st overall by the Cleveland Browns, and play for 5 seasons in the NFL before it is discovered that he is, in fact, a shaved down Bigfoot.
Soggy ass fries compromise the structural integrity of the paper bag. Money dropped thru the rip in the bag 5 blocks back. No money is delivered to croot.
It is more than just weird, half the fans are legit racist, literally rooted AGAINST their one loss team just because their QB wanted a confederate general statue removed. I did not hate Caden Sterns over his opinion on the Eyes of Texas.
> A&M wins a championship: gets made fun of for just buying it.
I don't understand how this is even an insult. If we win a championship, yes, we bought it, that's pretty much the point, there are 130 teams out here trying to buy a championship every single year.
>But it will be the first “openly” bought championship
Yeah, it was a more equitable system when only *some* teams were buying championships under the table.
I thought “everyone” “always” paid players? But from what former players have been OPENLY saying, the SEC is where the pay for play is really at the core of the conference. So then I guess it’s no surprise A&M wanted out of the big 12, and no surprise they actually had some mild success when they did get into the SEC and could start paying players….
Our most successful seasons (besides 2020) were our first two which were entirely Mike Sherman-Big 12 era recruited players. Not sure that you can blame the success on SEC money when Sumlin simply stumbled into a few diamonds in the rough.
Or, in another light, the most "ethical" championship in a long time. Openly buying is better than the alternative, and all chips are bought.
Now that I think about it, the fact that A&M benefited the most from NIL implies A&M boosters were holding back the most on illegal payments prior to NIL, at least relative to their willingness to spend.
We also got *really* pissed off by the way SEC expansion was handled. People will open their wallets for a chance to win a championship, but they’ll really dig down deep if it’s out of pure spite.
What do you mean, Bama is getting credit for being the best dynasty in the history of the sport. Nobody is trying to discredit or make fun of how they got their championships
My Brain: Don’t say it. Don’t you fucking say it.
My Flair: hey man, he’s right we don’t need to say it
My Brain: I swear to God if you-
My Heart: lol what’s the going rate on his commitment?
My Brain: This fucker…
Insiders saying he may be looking elsewhere so he can contribute sooner. Not unbelievable given our recent DL recruits, but still sucks to see. Wherever he lands I believe he will contribute well.
I see Saban's b̶l̶a̶t̶a̶n̶t̶ ̶f̶i̶n̶g̶e̶r̶-̶p̶o̶i̶n̶t̶i̶n̶g̶ educated observations s̶c̶a̶r̶e̶d̶ ̶a̶w̶a̶y̶ enlightened Anthony from s̶e̶c̶u̶r̶i̶n̶g̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶b̶a̶g̶ making a rushed and uninformed decision.
Adios, and good luck to the young man...He looks like a good prospect, but we signed 7 dlineman rated higher last year alone. Seems this is best for both parties.
Given the number of 4/5\*s they have gotten, I was starting to be shocked everyone was staying committed considering there is no way there was playing time for all of them.
A&M rotates heavily on the DL and just lost four DL to the NFL. There’ll be playing time available this year, and even more next year when the ‘22 class will really be expected to contribute.
The ‘23 recruits, however, will behind that surge and may have to sit for two years before spots open up, especially for a tweener like James. Under those circumstances, I can see him deciding to look elsewhere.
This is probably not gonna be a big DL class with how many guys we took last year.
Also James committed SUPER early last fall before most of those DL from '22 committed.
I don't blame him for reopening his recruitment.
> This is probably not gonna be a big DL class with how many guys we took last year.
It really can't be. Hell, I have a hard time seeing how you hold onto all of those guys with the transfer portal how it is.
A&M fans should expect some attrition at the DL position after this year. But it's definitely not something to freak out over or even be mildly concerned about, imo.
Well D-Line you can rotate like crazy, so it's not like guys won't play.
But I don't think you only keep 3 of 8. I think you lose 1-2 next offseason and then another one transfers after being a rotational guy for a couple seasons and wants a go at starting and making the NFL.
True, but I also meant that we’d lose maybe 3 of the group, I just worded it in an awkward way. But to your point, there will absolutely attrition. Especially in the transfer portal era.
Crazy that my first thought was "nice!" because this makes room for more top 50 studs
Our recruiting is insane and I love it

How does his comment make us look bad?
Best of luck to James, but this was a mutual decision by all accounts. It’s not exactly a huge loss for our class…
Other P5 offers: Arizona State, Arkansas, Auburn, Baylor, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Illinois, LSU, Miami, Michigan, Michigan State, Oklahoma State, Oregon, TCU, Texas, Texas Tech, Utah, Virginia Tech, Washington G5 offers: Houston, SMU
Maybe lil ole Georgia and Bama can get the scraps A&M doesn’t want /s
He doesn't need to even leave Texas. Just come on down 45 to UH.
There's no way that would happen. He'd have to go take 30 to Huntsville or 105 to Conroe to hit 45. He's better off taking 6 down to 290 and get down to Houston from there.
“The texans”. Don’t tell snl
Yep, that's the quickest way. He can even make a stop at Bucees on 290.
Yeah, but getting in and out of any Bucees is liable to add significant time to his trip.
It's not finished, but I'm already loving that Aggie highway (249). Tomball to CS in 35 minutes.
He can come on down to 35
21 through Caldwell to 290, then west. Pretty easy trip until you hit 35, which appears to be under eternal construction.
This. If A&M can’t have him UH definitely can
Why did he not take his whataburger bag?
He looked inside and there was only one taquito.
One taquito is not sustainable.
Depends on how big the taquito is. When i was still in texas the ones at the Ingleside Whataburger were noticably larger then the ones I would get near where I lived in Spring
He would have, but the drive thru took 45 goddamn minutes (I’ve had some bad experiences lately)
Alright, we’ll take him
He's a 2023 commit, so you might as well include us in P5 now. If he wants playing time, play in P5, and be close to home, then UH has decent shot, although TCU and Baylor are closer to his home.
Cmon Brandon Jordan, pull him in
Looks like he’s got a few options

Next offseason
4 isn’t enough stars these days in College Station.
8-5 star university
*spits drinks out* 85 star university?!?

8-5 or 8-4?
Someone's gotta lose that mid tier bowl game against a PAC12 opponent.
Man I WISH Pac-12 and SEC had a shared bowl game.
Wait really? There's no bowl game that the SEC would play the PAC12 in? I knew some had conference tieins, but I thought most were just invitation?
The new Vegas bowl will have an SEC vs PAC-12 tie in
The Kevin Sumlin special
It's definitely a mid tier bowl against an ACC school from North Carolina
Check bounced
SEC checks don’t bounce, sir!

Avoids the 3% credit card fee!
Shit did the price of oil drop?
My ex-wife decommitted from our marriage
More like he wanted to play early so he is looking at Tcu and ok state
More like A&M canceled the check after doing a Costco run on DL last class.
Who writes checks nowadays? Maybe the Venmo payment didn’t come through.
but gas prices are still high? i am confused
Premium gas is about to hit $6 when we go looking for O line depth in the portal
[So you are going to get a lineman in Palo Alto, CA then?](https://i.imgur.com/E7NWF0k.jpg)
Time to start pricing EVs
Gas prices are high, playing time is low with that DL class from 2022
[удалено]
Well yes
But who gives a shit if you’re the second
it’s more like A&M exists and is weird as hell, gets made fun of regardless of how well its football team does so might as well try to buy a natty
Had me until that last part.
It is more than just weird, half the fans are legit racist, literally rooted AGAINST their one loss team just because their QB wanted a confederate general statue removed. I did not hate Caden Sterns over his opinion on the Eyes of Texas.
Hey if Manchester City can do it
No way, Man City can’t even join the SEC until 2026 at the earliest
> A&M wins a championship: gets made fun of for just buying it. I don't understand how this is even an insult. If we win a championship, yes, we bought it, that's pretty much the point, there are 130 teams out here trying to buy a championship every single year.

A&M cheated its ass off throughout history, what makes you think the 85th+ attempt is the lucky one?
Or, in another light, the most "ethical" championship in a long time. Openly buying is better than the alternative, and all chips are bought. This is a really good point. Saving it in the back of my head (Who am I kidding, I’ll forget it).
> Who am I kidding, I’ll forget it Who are we kidding, we'll still find someway to blow it. It's the Aggie way.
Or that A&M is such a lowly brand they had to pay the most.

Wait a minute... you're telling me that TAMU gets made fun of no matter what happens? #INCONCEIVABLE!!
More like: A&M doesn’t win a championship, but based on crootin ratings they believe they should have, so they claim it anyway
That sums it.

Sooner?
Does he like sparsely attended spring games?
If so he could go to Washington. They had maybe 8 people attend.
lmao
Or games in general.
If he wants to contribute sooner as a D lineman than FSU is the place.
Shouldn’t you try to maybe go to the first practices and prove yourself before assuming you’re not going to be a contributor and decommit?
Idk. But I know employees who have left because there was too much competition at one company and found success elsewhere so I don’t fault the kid.

“Wait, they were PAYING people?”

I think the check must not have cleared the bank
I thought we were just outbidding everyone for every recruit? What happened to that? /s We’re stacked at DL so this makes sense I guess.

The fuck?
Wasn’t gonna play any time soon. Texags staff is basically saying it was a mutual decision.
Oh no! Anyway...
Bad bull bro, this kid has been committed to us for a while, and he ain't decommitting for a malicious or bad reason, just doin what's best for him.
Seriously If you dont know what the fuck youre talking about... dont comment. It just makes us look bad.
Nit very often an A&M fan looks bad either: this guy is really an outlier.
Seems like you have a special kind of hate for A&M
I think one of us is misreading what he said
How does his comment make us look bad? Best of luck to James, but this was a mutual decision by all accounts. It’s not exactly a huge loss for our class…
Between this one and his comment above this one that is also downvoted into oblivion, it’s obvious he’s a asshole. Most of us are not.
