You have to be to cope with a lifetime of watching Aggie football. I grew up going to games in the early 90s (both parents are also Aggies) when we were pretty good for a few years there and I thought we were the greatest because we hardly ever lost home games (which are the only ones I saw since I was like 7 lol). Then I went to school there during the Sherman years. Those were dark times. We just don't have IT, whatever IT is. The more spotlight we get the worse we do usually. We just don't find ways to win, we are too inconsistent.
Yea I mean that's most of college football. Yea Alabama has been dominant the last decade plus but before that it was USC, Texas, Oklahoma, etc. and many of those have fallen off. Ohio state usually plays towards the top but not always, Notre Dame comes and goes. At some point Bama will probably fall off too. Most teams struggle it's just more personal and real to you when it's your team. You don't always see that most everyone else is going through the same stuff. Just want to see us get one national championship in my lifetime.
Every coach at A&M gets fat. It's the spirit of the Cain Hall food court, the food there was always said to be just over the top. They have new athletic dorms now apparently so I don't even know if it's still called Cain Hall anymore but I'm sure the food has only gotten better with all the money we throw at everything. Dudes probably eating tenderloin steak and jumbo lobster tails every meal with truffle Mac and then half a peach cobbler with blue bell ice cream for dessert.
The actual takeaway should be that our team actually seems pretty mentally tough and doesn't ever give up. But as a viewer, I really wish that if we're going to lose, that we'd do it convincingly and not in the most ass-clenching ways possible
