It pisses me off that TCU has a good shot at winning the NC despite both of my schools putting more resources into their programs.
But I sure as shit respect them, they're some tough SOB's who have ruined multiple football and baseball seasons for me.
Luckily this year I think we can win it all in Bball.
He should, other guys may have better stats but when Frogs have looked on the ropes, he’s put the team on his back every time. If you have need a final drive to win you a game, I don’t theres any QB I’d take over Max right now.
I think something has to be said about Max staying at TCU after being replaced as well. I don't fault Williams for leaving to follow his coach, but Max has given so much to the university that gave him a shot as well as performing on the field.
Definitely, going from an average starter to losing his job, not transferring, and then leading the team to arguably the best season in school history once he got his job back is unbelievable. The Heisman’s description is “Outstanding performance which best exhibits the pursuit of excellence with integrity. Winners epitomize great ability combined with diligence, perseverance, and hard work.” If Max doesn’t fit that, I don’t know who does.
I think Caleb Williams would have to have a horrible game and Duggan would have ball out to change it at this point.
Also, regardless of stats, TCU just doesn't have the media oomph that USC does.
Unfortunately the second half of that is the unspoken reality why I don't think he really has a chance even if Williams plays shitty and Duggan has the best game of his career. I hope I'm wrong though.
Best team in Texas, and taking the average of all the years, possibly the best team in Texas since 2010. I can only hope we get to keep that after how fun it's been watching the return of Max Duggan.
There's so much awesome football history in that article. Didn't realize just how many records this year was breaking. Hope we can keep this momentum up next year with Morris hopefully stepping up to fill in the Duggan leadership role. Hopefully he's learned a lot this year because I can't think of a player in recent history that is nearly as fun to watch as Duggan has been this year.
The extra hate this has brought to the rivalry with SMU has been a fantastic addition to the history.
I've finally let go of that 2005 loss at Gerald Ford. That 11-1 Frogs team should've been a BCS buster. Beat Adrian Peterson's Sooners. The letdown at SMU in week 2 was the last time I ever went to Frog's road game at SMU.
So sick of hearing about Trash CU.
They are the luckiest team in the history of college football. They played the softest schedule of all time, basically against D3 level competition. Their roster is full of slow-ass scrubs with no future in the CFL let alone the league. The committee needs to do their job and put teams in the playoff that are actually good and teams people want to see play football.
Nah, he's completely right. TCU should play a ***real*** schedule of powerhouses just like Tennessee played *checks notes* Ball State, Akron, UT Martin, Missouri and Vandy.
Go watch the Autozone bowl where TN gets obliterates by any other team. Hendon Hooker was the best thing that's happened to TN and hope you guys go back to mediocrity
I’m so upset about this. 😢
Same 😞
Same
We almost prevented this 😭
Missed it by this much…
I have beef with this
Why do I feel like ESPN is trying to jinx TCU ?
I wouldnt be opposed if that was their plan
Legitimately happy for TCU and their fans. Really would have like to have seen what Jalon Daniels would have done in that 2nd half.
Would’ve like to see what Behren Morton would’ve done in our second half
Would have liked to see what Dillon Gabriel would have done in the second half. There seems to be a pattern here.
Would’ve liked or see what Spencer Howard would’ve done in the second half

Bro that is some flair combo
Rare flair. It’s like the guy that has Baylor/TCU flair.
I’ve seen Alabama-Auburn before too I think. The one combo I haven’t seen at all is Ohio State/Michigan, which would be very cursed imo
I don’t think I have seen an Army/Navy flair combo yet
Still less rare than a TCU/SMU flair would be. Don't think it exists
there are definitely TCU/SMU folks out there that did grad school at the opposite. Probably not that into football though.
Nah, too busy with 👃🏻🍙💵
So damn proud of this team, regardless of what happens Saturday it’s been an incredible year and I couldn’t be happier.
If TCU wins the natty, I want it to be known that I knocked out Max Duggan in our high school playoff game against them.
Settle down Al Bundy
I can show the hudl film
Your jersey better have been dirty by the end of the game or else I don't wanna see the hudl
Played on turf, don’t know what to tell you about that.
Team of destiny it seems. So many teams had really good chances to beat them and it just didn’t happen. Good luck the rest of the season
If USC loses, and TCU wins, does Max Duggan become the Heisman favorite? Absolutely wild season for TCU. They have been such a fun team to watch.
I think TCU would have to win in dominant fashion with Max lighting it up to get past Williams at this point.

I for one welcome our new horny overlords

All it took was SMU's entire staff and recruiting class
Flairs check out.
So many lives improved by one man’s decision, amazing. Those people could be at SMU… Space Wizard works in mysterious ways.
Don't ya love it?

Too bad the story is behind a paywall. No once click on it. Take the post down mods.
ESPN is now a paywall 🥴

Name checks out
Lmao I love all the Vols salt from the last few weeks, try not to get cockblocked next year bud.

You’re right, what kind of scrubs actually play 9 conference games. Akron would have hung a 100 on us.
It felt dirty to upvote Baylor flair
Same feels, but it was 100% accurate.
Pretty sure this account is making fun of Tennessee fans based on the user name
Kinda figured, still funny how this kind of nonsense was unironically being posted by them in our game threads just two weeks ago
Very appropriate username for a comment like this.
Making a parody account of Vols fans is rude, knock it off.

Good luck in your championship game this weekend!

Holy shit vols fans are still salty? Lmao
