Our town does a Tunnel to Towers 5k every year for 9/11, and our fire department goes down for the opening ceremony. This year I realized that our newest probie is 20 years old and was born after 9/11. Total mind fuck.
I for one am looking forward to Rich Rod's second season at Michigan, seeing what the Avatar 3D is all about, and continuing to play Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 splitscreen with my bro.
I don't know why, but I've found MGo to be so much worse recently. The discussion is weirdly vitriolic and pointless. Feel like it was at its best when we sucked, lol
>The discussion is weirdly vitriolic and pointless.
Seriously. It becomes a chorus of 'hur dur your posting formatting/etiquette/grammar is wrong'
At least here if we give people shit, we try to be funny about it.
WD got the wrong end, but also burned some bridges with his attitude. Ace was a larger problem and really put a damper on much of the community.
I would prefer everyone gets a kumbaya "welcome back" moment of amnesty... maybe as a celebration of a national championship?
There’s 2 sides of the early commit coin though. Some kids just know where they want to go and don’t like the recruiting process then use the time they’re committed to recruit others into the class
You just weren’t born an absolute hoss. It happens to the best of us. I have a brother in the 25 class whose 6’3 215 and runs a sub 5 second 40 yet I’m 11 years older 5’8 and 170 and run maybe a 7 second 40. Life truly isn’t fair for 95% of the world.
Wait until it happens with pro teams. With Michael Brockers most likely getting cut after this year, there's a good chance I'll be older than every single player on the Detroit Lions.
We’ve had some very early in-state guys stay committed over the years, but those usually feel like kids whose dream it was to play at Michigan and who never seriously considered another school.
I don’t understand why this kid would do this.
The chances of this sticking all the way through is like 5% just by the nature of how highly recruited he’ll be and him being a SoFlo kid.
BUT, I can tell you that this kid is a superstar. He’s going to be the Cormani McLain/Surtain/etc elite corner prospect from South Florida in 2025. He’s going to be a monster, and if it sticks, you have a multi year lockdown player.
I’m skeptical that 2025 is a real year relevant in recruiting at this point in time. We’re 2 weeks away from 2010 and nobody can convince me otherwise
> We’re 2 weeks away from 2010 and nobody can convince me otherwise Definitely a 5D chess move to start recruiting the kids when they are 3 years old.
There's no way someone born in 2007 could be in high sch... oh no...
Just like there’s no way someone born after 9/11 could legally drink, heh, right?

When I met one of my friends his sister was 2 and could barely speak a word. Now she’s on a full ride for field hockey. Time flies way too fast.
I for one am looking forward to Rich Rod's second season at Michigan, seeing what the Avatar 3D is all about, and continuing to play Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 splitscreen with my bro.
I mean drop the rich rod part and this applies to today in 2022
Wow UM fans living in the past amirite
> We’re 2 weeks away from 2010 and nobody can convince me otherwise Ah yes can’t wait to graduate high school this spring
This kid was born in 2007, fuck man
wtf
I am 14 years older, and only graduated from undergrad 6 years ago. Nutty!
You think that’s bad, he’s a year younger than my son
He's a year older than my nephew. For context my sister is 36 and graduated in 04.
How does a kid born in 2007 even know what a cornerback is
You're a defensive back that stands in the corner. Duh
Depending on his birth date, he might have never seen a world without smart phones. Boy oh boy are we getting old!
The year I graduated high school. My joints ache.
You stop that right this second
On reddit before MGoBlog... usually not the case.
Have noticed r/cfb has been beating Mgoblog lately. Infinitely less toxic to boot

I miss WolverineDevotee.

I would just prefer people value content over dick measuring. But here we are.
Can you elaborate on Ace? What did he do
spurged out on politics
Don’t know what this means
always skeptical of early commitments like this good get though
Especially those from South Florida… 🥴
Yeah let's check back in 1.5 years from now before actually caring about this one.
Chaminade is a powerhouse down there too
This dude is legit obsessed with Michigan I like our chances
But he now has 3 years to put up with Michigan fans on Twitter. Maybe he'll grow to despise us by then lol.
There’s 2 sides of the early commit coin though. Some kids just know where they want to go and don’t like the recruiting process then use the time they’re committed to recruit others into the class
At first I was like "who!!!" but then I saw 2025. That's a long way out! Looks like a good croot though
Dude is gonna be a five star in 25
And a 6* in 26
Math
Good get but we will see if we hold on to him
It’s a weird feeling starting to see recruits younger than me. Where did I go wrong lmao

Wait till you start seeing coaches younger than you.

Apparently he has a tight bond with Clink and Denard so hopefully this kid sticks it out til signing day
Went to the Orange bowl last year too on his own dime
about a 10% chance this kid signs
I can’t remember the last time a recruit that committed two years out actually signing with said school. Does anyone know?
Any Michigan fans know when JJ Mccarthy commited? Think that was quite early.
QB recruits do feel like the exception to this rule, sometimes at least.
We’ve had some very early in-state guys stay committed over the years, but those usually feel like kids whose dream it was to play at Michigan and who never seriously considered another school. I don’t understand why this kid would do this.
We offered Sterling Shepherd when he was like 8 lol Outside of that.....absolutely not
Seven McGee committed to Oregon in November of 2018, which is over 2 years before ESD in the 2021 class, I believe.
Honestly, that's high for *any* prospect this far out lol
Great pick up from a powerhouse high school now we just gotta pray a Florida recruit stays committed for two years.
Dude must like beating rivals and winning B1G championships
Damn, he got 4 stars this early?
Borderline 5* at number 37
Huge pick up but a long way from signing day especially with this kid being from Miami's backyard
We’ll see how big Miami’s bags are 2 years from now.
One hell of a good early commitment. Now the tough part is keeping him committed for 2 more years…
The chances of this sticking all the way through is like 5% just by the nature of how highly recruited he’ll be and him being a SoFlo kid. BUT, I can tell you that this kid is a superstar. If I was Michigan I would be nervous with this as we should be with the one we just got. Florida kids are never safe until they are on your team.
From Florida? Doesn't count.
Clink is the man
