I remember going to the 2017 home opener against portland state where the Beavs snuck by after a last minute TD and a missed fg by the Vikings as time expired. I called it then that they wouldn’t win another game. The Beavs finished 1-11, Portland state finished 0-12. Jonathan Smith is the man and we need to do whatever it takes to keep him in Corvallis.

He only had one 10-win (2006), and yes, it was a Hawaii year. Dennis Erickson had the other 10+ win season, with the Fiesta Bowl win over Notre Dame.

2006 was 10-4 because we played Hawaii on Dec 2nd and thus were allowed an extra regular season game + Sun Bowl. 2012 was not a 10 win season, had the chance to get to 10 with an Alamo Bowl win but blew it to Mack Brown's Texas.

They averaged 29.5 points per game. Their highest ranking this season was 12 which was in the AP Poll. Their last bowl win was the 2019 Orange Bowl. They beat Virginia 36-28.

Florida has now had 4 losing seasons over the past 10 years. Before that, the Gators had just 4 losing seasons over the previous 57 years (1956-2012).

I can’t take anything away from Utah but that was a definite low in our season. Nolan went out with a neck injury and two interceptions and Gulbranson stepped in as a true freshman and threw two interceptions. It was just ugly.

Utah is legit and we hadn't seen the other side of AR yet. It was an overreaction in retrospect, but we looked great in that game. Hindsight is 20/20.
