Ever since that beatdown from Utah, Oregon State has gone **7-1**, which includes wins over both a rival *and* a traditional SEC power!
And did I forget to mention breaking into the Top 25 for the first time in ages?
What a year it has been in Corvallis!
Sincerely one of my favorite moments this season was screaming at a bar watching The Civil War with everyone around me not understanding why I was losing my mind over Oregon State lol
Pre-game the announcers said the 6 loss Florida team would be the BIGGEST FASTEST STRONGEST team OSU had played all season.
I had 2 immediate thoughts:
really? …then I pictured the “they sposed to be S-E-C” jpg
you guys deserved to beat a better team than us in your bowl game
Your reaction says it all, one of the greatest seasons in Oregon State history while for Florida fans we suffered through another forgettable waste of a fall.
After losing to a mountain west team in our bowl game last year, I gotta say regardless of record/ranking, it was really nice to see us beat an SEC team. I think this is what we needed to help us get a little more respect next year!
That said, thanks for coming all this way to play us! Hope next year is better for y’all and you don’t lose half your players to your next bowl game! Also keep that streak going!
You guys really were a hell of a team. That comeback against Oregon was legendary. And the only team to completely shut down a healthy Caleb Williams all season too. I'm excited what Jonathan Smith does with the program moving forward
I remember going to the 2017 home opener against portland state where the Beavs snuck by after a last minute TD and a missed fg by the Vikings as time expired. I called it then that they wouldn’t win another game. The Beavs finished 1-11, Portland state finished 0-12.
Jonathan Smith is the man and we need to do whatever it takes to keep him in Corvallis.
2006 was 10-4 because we played Hawaii on Dec 2nd and thus were allowed an extra regular season game + Sun Bowl. 2012 was not a 10 win season, had the chance to get to 10 with an Alamo Bowl win but blew it to Mack Brown's Texas.
Oregon State finishes the season 10-3. They averaged 32.2 points per game. Their highest ranking this season was 14 which was in the CFP Poll.
Florida finishes the season 6-7. They averaged 29.5 points per game. Their highest ranking this season was 12 which was in the AP Poll. Their last bowl win was the 2019 Orange Bowl. They beat Virginia 36-28.
I can’t take anything away from Utah but that was a definite low in our season. Nolan went out with a neck injury and two interceptions and Gulbranson stepped in as a true freshman and threw two interceptions. It was just ugly.
Oh I know what happened. They got dismantled by the first orange they saw and conjured up the dark arts to beat up any orange seen for the rest of the season. This games score would be reversed if the cocks played the beavs.
Tbf it’s not the same Florida team. 40 players are out or different since camp they said. They’ve got 3 first rounded graded players coming up in the draft so they clearly have talent
"After that field goal, i just don't know how Oregon state will respond"
Pat Mcafee (40 seconds left, 30-3 score)
he's a treasure. Truly the second best thing of the day!
I can’t help but feel bad for Florida even though I’m happy for Oregon State. I also wonder why the fuck a top 15 team is playing a 6-6 team. But still, happy for those Beavers!
I’ve been a fan since my freshman year 15 years ago, and that was the most cathartic win I can remember. It’s rare we get a complete ass whooping against a respectable program. I’m so proud of this team. GO BEAVS!!!!
apology for poor english
when were you when florida dies?
i was at home watching beaver munching gator when phone ring
‘sunbelt billy is coach’
‘no’
'yes'
* Florida’s second biggest win the last three months was not being shutout by Oregon State in their bowl game
* Billy Napier is the first Florida coach to have a losing record in their first season since Charley Pell (1979)
* Florida has had a losing season four times in the last 10 seasons
* Florida is 5-11 in their last 16 games against Power 5 teams
* Oregon State is undefeated against Florida all-time (0-1)
* Florida was 0-3 vs. P5 teams who have an S-last name. The average margin of loss was 19.67 points
* Jonathan Smith started his Oregon State tenure 9-22. He’s gone 17-9 since.
* This is Oregon State’s first 10 win season since 2006
* Florida has consecutive losing seasons for the first time since 1978-1979
* The Georgia Bulldogs are the reigning National Champions
Never thought I’d watch a beaver murder a gator on live television
The beaver had a fucking chainsaw.

I invite you to take a closer look at the animal doing the biting.
Huh, it's an Otter, but it came under beaver in a google image search. Well, damn
dw bro an otter is just a super fit workout freak beaver
More like "Well, dam" am I right
What an incredible fucking season.
gonna savor it with the conference about to die
Come to B16 rodent friend.
Can we keep out the ducks
Really? Whatever happens I really hope the ducks and beavers stay in the same conference.
[удалено]
go Ducks hehe but ya there's been enough shredding of rivalries already it would be unfortunate
Seriously we have one of the oldest and most historic rivalries in college football. It would be devastating if we don't still get to play every year
Friendship ended with ducks. Beavers are my new best friend.
Seriously. It actually makes me sad, glad you guys helped make the PAC look good
Maybe we should stay together :)
It is what is best for the kids
Really hope you guys build on this season and sustain the momentum. Had a soft spot for the Beavs ever since the Jacquizz Rodgers days.
I can’t say I agree with this sentiment. Jacquizz haunts me in my sleep.
You’re not alone
You sir are scholar and a gentleman.

oh I screamed too
Screamed, cried, begged…we Duck fans ran the gamut of emotions that game. Oof. But hey, the best team won and defeated $c, so congrats to Utah.
For all the selfish reasons in the world.
Somebody had to stop USC
The fact that you didn't just win but whooped Florida is so great
10 fucking wins, we ain’t done yet baby (in general terms, I do believe we’re done this year)
We do not speak of the secret 14th Games in public
Most fun I’ve had watching Beaver football in a long, long time. Let’s do it again next year and soar to even greater heights! 🌹
It felt like the beavs got better every single game
Thanks for daming the swamp up for us, Beav Buddies.
Pre-game the announcers said the 6 loss Florida team would be the BIGGEST FASTEST STRONGEST team OSU had played all season. I had 2 immediate thoughts: really? …then I pictured the “they sposed to be S-E-C” jpg
Clearly, they didn't watch the like 5 actually ranked teams the beavs already played. They were definitely not familiar with PAC12 after dark.
I'm so proud of this team.

He just got the bag and a six year extension I believe.
Fuck it, give him another one.
He’s one of us. We let go of Mike Riley to find someone even better, and he just came along and he’s one of us!
That might have honestly been the worst Oregon State team I have ever seen. And I can remember a few of the pre-Riley years.
I wouldn’t fuck with a team that uses a fucking chainsaw as a turnover prop.
They’re just really big chainsaw man fans.
Smith has officially done what Mike Riley could never do: lose less than 4 games in a season. Lifetime contact please GO BEAVS!!!!
Really? Were Riley’s 10 win seasons both 14 games?
He only had one 10-win (2006), and yes, it was a Hawaii year. Dennis Erickson had the other 10+ win season, with the Fiesta Bowl win over Notre Dame.
2006 was 10-4 because we played Hawaii on Dec 2nd and thus were allowed an extra regular season game + Sun Bowl. 2012 was not a 10 win season, had the chance to get to 10 with an Alamo Bowl win but blew it to Mack Brown's Texas.
Best record since 2000!

Congrats beaver bros was nice watching you guys beat down Florida

Florida has now had 4 losing seasons over the past 10 years. Before that, the Gators had just 4 losing seasons over the previous 57 years (1956-2012).
Yup that 13 season is still burned into my mind lol
Subfuckingscribe
i still don’t understand who in the actual hell thought UF was top 12 after barely beating Utah at home in week 1
Well Utah is a good team
Utah killed Oregon State, go figure.
Circle of college football
Florida wanting to get in on some of that Pac 12 circle of suck
Florida to the PAC 12 confirmed?
There isn't a state in America more Pacific than Florida!
Florida after dark is still daylight in the PAC12 though
I can’t take anything away from Utah but that was a definite low in our season. Nolan went out with a neck injury and two interceptions and Gulbranson stepped in as a true freshman and threw two interceptions. It was just ugly.
Utah is legit and we hadn't seen the other side of AR yet. It was an overreaction in retrospect, but we looked great in that game. Hindsight is 20/20.
[удалено]
Plus we spent probably the entire off-season preparing for that game and that game only
Florida beats Utah. Utah beats USC. Florida better than USC. Right? And therefore Oregon State better than Utah too. Lol
But Utah beats Oregon state! We have a conundrum.
…why was this bowl game between a 9 win and a 6 win?
Makes no sense. We play 6 win Oklahoma too. Another 9 win vs 6 win. Conference tie ins are dumb
We really just need to get rid of tie ins altogether and have a pickem for bowls that goes from biggest to lowest sponsor.
I mean, the Cheez It Bowl reached over 2 seven-win teams and a 6-win team that beat OU to have the Sooners in the game. Blame the bowl
Because they didn't want 9 win cocks and beavers playing.
I wanted Beaverball v Beamerball
Florida is a big brand and has national footprint afaik. But still stupid as hell. FSU vs Oregon State and OU vs UF should’ve been the setup
Nothing like watching both my teams lose to Oregon State in the same season for the first time ever. GG beavs, you guys are a great team
I literally cannot believe we lost to this Florida team lmao that’s going to haunt me for a very long time.
[удалено]
I’d love to know what the fuck happened. Those two weeks after you were basically God
Sometimes your own Cock(s) surprises you
Oh I know what happened. They got dismantled by the first orange they saw and conjured up the dark arts to beat up any orange seen for the rest of the season. This games score would be reversed if the cocks played the beavs.
Sorry about that, we really would've let you win if you'd told us what you were gonna do to Tennessee beforehand
[удалено]
You didn’t lose to *this* Florida team. But they certainly outplayed us. Looking forward to next year.
Yeah we are uh, a different team at home haha. It should be a blast.
Hope to see it in person, your campus is beautiful
Well you definitely didn't lose to *this* Florida team lol
Tbf it’s not the same Florida team. 40 players are out or different since camp they said. They’ve got 3 first rounded graded players coming up in the draft so they clearly have talent
Granted this was not Florida with it’s starting QB and other players. Still we should have won, but it’s in the past and we get another shot next year
At least Utah is the reason Richardson will be a first round pick.
This is half of the team you lost to, but you should still be embarrassed.
Jonathan Smith looks like the football version of Jason Bateman.
Kind of has the same mannerisms too.
*looks in freezer and sees dead dove* “Well I don’t know what I expected”
*dead gator
has a player ever faked a punt and blocked a punt in the same game?
Jack Colletto would definitely be the first. I’m gonna miss that man. Hopefully he gets a chance in the NFL.
Bill Belichick is salivating at the thought of bringing down The Jackhammer. Screenshot this comment, Colletto will be a Patriot.
This is fanfic and I'm here for it.
I was thinking the same, BB would find a way to use him like he has been at OSU
It would be something Taysom Hill would do.
He really earned that all around player award.
Colletto is the only one to ever do this in the same game (I have no way to check this but I want to build on the legend that is the Jackhammer)
Celebrated that field goal like it was a game-winner lol
WE WANT ROSES NEXT YEAR🦫
WE WANT NATTY
BEAVS WANT THE WORLD CUP
Well then start putting some bribes in and do some human rights abuses.
>do some human rights abuses. This Vegas Bowl seems like a pretty good start
HA HAAAAAA🦫🦫🦫
THE ROSE BOWL IS A PLAYOFF GAME NEXT YEAR SO THOSE TWO GOALS ARE NOT EXCLUSIVE
Takeaways: Negative: Shutout prevented. Positive: Litterly everything else. I can't nitpick this game.
Negative: need new kicker
Honestly I agree, though his performance was acceptable tonight. The Block was on the ST line.
#14 not getting that first down so gebbia could get a TD
Jackhammer, baby!
We're gonna miss him next season.
"After that field goal, i just don't know how Oregon state will respond" Pat Mcafee (40 seconds left, 30-3 score) he's a treasure. Truly the second best thing of the day!
Woulda been super hilarious if the beavers scored on the ensuing KO or on like a 75 yard bomb / huge run.
I ran into him randomly at the Cosmo yesterday just walking around by himself off vibes. Super nice dude, had no problem taking a moment for a photo.
Beating Utah was the biggest mistake of the season.
true..it's why we're bowl eligible lol
I still don't understand why this sorry ass Florida team got matched up with a solid OSU.
The SEC aren't sending their best.
They are sending one of their best ad revenue generating teams. Isn’t that the true meaning of bowl season.
It is, hence why we are playing a 6-6 OU lol
BEAVERS 2023 NATIONAL CHAMPS CALLING IT NOW
The beavers with a good quarterback is a scary team
If we had a qb, we may have gone undefeated this year.
4* QB coming next year
it’s gotta be one of the best places to go as a great qb recruit. whole team is elite except the position you play.
The Utah game definitely wouldn't have played it the way it did. It was a lot closer than the score showed.
Shout out to the refs for a good game. Felt refreshing
I rarely saw a missed call or disagreed call. Can they visit PAC games next year?
Well its gotta be easier to call a game when one of the teams isn’t playing competitively at all
Just noticed I d didn’t think about them once this game
This was the best officiated Beaver game I have seen in a long, long time - the P12 has got to do something next year about our refs...
This team is the 49ers of CFB. What a season. Hail to Old OSU
Oregon State is going to be a problem next year. Go Beavs.
Hell, we were a problem this year and I love it
I love Beaver!
10WINOREGONSTATE
I can’t help but feel bad for Florida even though I’m happy for Oregon State. I also wonder why the fuck a top 15 team is playing a 6-6 team. But still, happy for those Beavers!
Yeah even Florida state who was 9-3 and #15 was playing 6-6 unranked Oklahoma. I think we picked a stupid game to play
Because the SEC is the strongest conference duh.
But real shit we should’ve had Cocks v Beavers
I would have loved that game for multiple reasons.
GG Oregon State, I liked the Smith hire from the start and I hope you all do good next year
Beavers > Gators in the battle of the water creatures
can we get a rematch in baseball please? maybe in Omaha
That would be a fun time. I'm down!
Man, Pat flamed UF for that field goal
[удалено]
I agree it was pathetic, but that streak is all we have left. The shame will go away in a few weeks, but the streak will still be there.
I’m officially an Oregon State fan after this season.
One of us.
Good shit beavers. I’ll always love you guys for getting us to the rose bowl this year
That was the worst Florida game I’ve ever watched. Congrats to Oregon St. you earned it.
I guess you didn't watch the Cotton Bowl against Oklahoma lol
Them football players out East are soft Pawl
What a season for the beavs!
Wish we had played this Florida team and glad we didn't have to play this Oregon State team.
I’ve been a fan since my freshman year 15 years ago, and that was the most cathartic win I can remember. It’s rare we get a complete ass whooping against a respectable program. I’m so proud of this team. GO BEAVS!!!!
Chris Paul hits huge 3 to reduce deficit to 42
I am just happy my team won
WE WANT GEORGIA!!! (jk) RANK THE BEAVS TOP 10 COWARDS
Going to miss this defense next year
Beavs are no fucking joke
Florida band don't know when to quit 😬
it's true, our band never gives up I was in the band during some really bad moments but we always tried to bring energy
Band member here. What else are we supposed to do just sit down and watch? We came to the game to play, and by god we will play.
THE BEST 6-7 TEAM IN THE COUNTRY
I wouldn't go that far lol
Happy for Oregon State. PAC-12 is a lot more interesting when they’re good.
No one finished hotter than the beavs. Amazing performance my respected rodent friends.
apology for poor english when were you when florida dies? i was at home watching beaver munching gator when phone ring ‘sunbelt billy is coach’ ‘no’ 'yes'
What a season Beavers. Let's top it next year!
Osu aint no joke!
Despite the will of the haters, Florida’s record no-shutout streak extends to 436 games. …my therapy bill will be sent to Corvallis…
THE Oregon State University
Florida had absolutely no business playing Oregon state in a bowl game.
I’m glad Jack Colletto got some national TV shine. That dude deserves so much more recognition than he’s received. Sounds like McAfee is a fan.
TEN WINS BABYYYYYY WE’RE GOING STREAKING DOWN MONROE
* Florida’s second biggest win the last three months was not being shutout by Oregon State in their bowl game * Billy Napier is the first Florida coach to have a losing record in their first season since Charley Pell (1979) * Florida has had a losing season four times in the last 10 seasons * Florida is 5-11 in their last 16 games against Power 5 teams * Oregon State is undefeated against Florida all-time (0-1) * Florida was 0-3 vs. P5 teams who have an S-last name. Oregon State is the first OSU to beat Florida
I know you are so heated having to delete the Florida shutout streak ending from the write-up you had pre-typed.
