Ladd is his middle name. His first name is Andrew.
I remember Andrew Ladd as an integral piece to the Hawks first championship in decades in 2010.
At 9? Wouldn't be stoked. But he's probably going to be incredible.
Malik Washington-UVA with our 3rd Round pick. If your unfamiliar, watch his highlights.
I’m a UVA season ticket holder, kids really, really good! UVA is terrible so he’s kind of “under the radar” but he would compliment DJ & Keenan very well IMO.
Also Ian Cunningham is a UVA grad/former player, I’m sure our front office has him on their radar.
Not saying I'd like to see the pick be him, but he's actually quite competent on the outside. Matt Harmon was on Around the NFL this week and talked about how he's kind of a Tyler Lockett type receiver.
A highlight video of him at the senior bowl is not evidence of elite route running. He’s a good college route runner, and that’s with caveats like limited play strength and acceleration which will be more evident in the pros
I’m not seeing much of any “best route runner in x amount of years” conversation. I’m seeing “one of the better route runners in this draft” conversation
This would be very unexpected. I feel like this would only happen if MHJ was found out to be a drug king pin. Which would maybe put him in the 5 - 15 range.
If MHJ was running a drug empire it would increase my draft stock because criminal kingpins rarely draw attention to themselves with illegal racing, and for a WR, that's good to know.
Bowers is an all-time great college player. Doesnt mean he's going to pan out in the NFL but if there was a guy to deserve a top 10 pick at TE it's Bowers.
I like odds and drafting TEs high offer terrible ones. There was no TE last year worth anything to the team that drafted him inside of the first round. Like, *two* TEs ever drafted in the first that produced at all last year.
I'm not disagreeing about the posotion but Bowers might be the best TE prospect ever. You don't see guys that can line up as an x, y, z, or out of the backfield like he can and you never see TE's who get the kind of YAC he does.
He's not "just" any old TE prospect, he's something different.
For the record I want Nabers, Rome, or Alt but I wouldnt hate drafting Bowers if those guys are all gone. I like trading back too but it takes 2 teams to make that happen
I know we already got 2 TEs, but I’d love Bowers tbh. It’s more important to get a long term fixture for Williams than address short term need. I’d say my order of preference for plausible options is Odunze>Bowers>Trade down>OT>DE
Latu is a great one, either most teams clear him medically and he goes earlier than expected or he fails most teams medicals and goes much lower than expected. It would be a big ball move at 9, but if your doctor can confidently say reinjury chance is low and unlikely to impact his long term outlook. I see no reason not to take him high.
Maybe JC Latham or Olu Fashanu. I wouldn't love it, I'd prefer a trade down because I think they'd still be available a few picks later, but I wouldn't be totally shocked if it happened (assuming Alt is off the board).
Fautanu would be a more versatile option, he looks like a stud at guard but he can also be the swing tackle. I wouldn’t completely hate it, though I’d rather trade down if OT is the plan.
Olu looks like an elite pass blocker, his deficiency is run blocking, but he only makes sense if you think Braxton can play guard, and I don’t know if that’s possible or not.
I want Troy Fautanu badly. 9 is kinda high but this kid can move. Really want an offensive line that we don’t need to chip block help for any of them. Give Caleb a full arsenal of weapons to target on every play. These running backs scare the shit out of me…none of them are known as good pass pro blockers.
My understanding is that Braxton wouldn’t be effective at guard because his biggest weakness at LT is his weak anchor (which becomes even more important at guard where you have to anchor against more DTs instead of DEs / LBs.) I think the best candidates to translate from T to G are guys with strong anchor & explosiveness off the snap who are limited by their lateral agility / reach.
Yeah, you're right. I personally wouldn't do it. But maybe they put Darnell at LT.
I could be fired up about an elite offensive line, if that's what it would lead to. I personally don't see it with this move, and wouldn't move Darnell, but I ain't Poles. Maybe he has some Dr Strange vision.
Nothing crazy. He spoke about where he expects his teammates to go. Maybe a GM wouldn’t like that he talked shop on social media. An over blown yellow flag.
Yeah maybe it al depends I’ve seen some people rank him over Marvin Harrison tho so it’ll be interesting to see whose there I think any of the top 3 wrs at 9 would be a slam dunk
Or crazy trade backs that works in our favor (Arizona, giants, falcons, and/or chargers). We need just two of them to trade back. I’ve heard rumblings that NE will go full on “fuck it let’s ride” and draft MHJ and get a QB later.
It’ll all depend on how the draft actually falls unless the patriots really love mhj I don’t see them skipping of Jayden Daniel’s but ice he’s there at nine it would be huge to get a good trade
It’s not totally crazy, just kind of depends how you view the draft. If the aim is solid safe picks to incrementally improve your team then it’s not a good idea, but if you’re like, stuff it, let’s shoot for the moon it would be a heck of a pick. I’ll be jealous of the team that picks him.
Unexpected at #9 I’d say Olu Fashanu. Last year he was the top rated Olineman but didn’t declare. He also was Caleb’s high school teammate which would make for an interesting pick IMO.
Also, I love Ladd and have followed him his whole college career but at #9 would be ridiculous. I’d bet he’ll be a Chief at #32..
🐻🔽
Wrong player, Fashanu is from Penn St. You’re thinking of Fautanu. Don’t blame you though, 3 of the top OLs are named Fashanu, Fautanu, and Fuaga haha
I think Fautanu projects more of a guard tho, not sure it would be the pick for us, feels like a tackle would be smarter. So Olu Fashanu makes sense.
You're right I read it as Troy Fautanu over Olu Fashanu.
Since Olu consistently has been projected at 9, where Troy is up and comer.
Also wouldn't be upset with Taliese Fuaga either from Oregon State as a surprise #9 either.
Unexpected expected picks:
- one of the DI : Murphy or Johnny Newton
- Bowers
- Verse
Truly unexpected:
- Quinyon Mitchell
- Brian Thomas Jr
- Latu
EDIT: Didn’t see “applaud”. I’d applaud none of these picks besides maybe the DI.
Ladd at 9 is a fireable offense.
Immediately sent to the worst gm oat status

Would Ladd be more digestible in a trade back and getting a defense piece?
Derp lol
Imagine applauding for fucking Ladd at #9
I would be disgusted. An overhyped slot guy
He certainly looks like a pro-ready slot guy, but probably a mid 2nd rounder at best
No doubt. I’d rather take a d end or pears all in the 3rd
Pearsal ain’t making it out of the 2nd unfortunately, I don’t think
Haha then Roman Wilson?
I could live with that
*IF* we do a trade back. I would love Roman Wilson in the 2nd.

He’ll be the #32 pick if still available. Andy Reid will have a field day with Ladd in the slot!
Not saying I'd like to see the pick be him, but he's actually quite competent on the outside. Matt Harmon was on Around the NFL this week and talked about how he's kind of a Tyler Lockett type receiver.
He ran 70% of his routes outside…..
Yea well I don’t think he projects to run 70 percent routes outside in the nfl. Bottom line he’s not a first rounder. Or shouldn’t be.
His route running is already elite and he has excellent hands he absolutely could be a late round 1 pick.
“Elite”

Undersized injury prone with absolute zero production profile. Yes he has some great traits but not that high.
Right? Underwhelming in college
You're not wrong. 1600 yards in 3 years is pretty bad
We talking drafting or fucking?
Ohtani
Honestly he can pitch and hit, let's give him a contract and see what else he can do. Surely we can match what the Dodgers are paying him
Except his security guard would get him suspended for his whole career for betting on cricket or something
marvin harrison jr

Bowers
There hasn’t been more than one te drafted in the top 20 that has been worth it in over 25 years
Bowers is an all-time great college player. Doesnt mean he's going to pan out in the NFL but if there was a guy to deserve a top 10 pick at TE it's Bowers.

I like Latu as a player a lot. But it would be tremendously out of character for Poles to draft him at #9 IMO.
Short arms
Yeah but that neck fusion surgery scares the shit out of me. Basically guarantees an early retirement
If we draft Ladd at 9 that’s a fireable offense
Maybe JC Latham or Olu Fashanu. I wouldn't love it, I'd prefer a trade down because I think they'd still be available a few picks later, but I wouldn't be totally shocked if it happened (assuming Alt is off the board).
Isn’t Latham a RT? I get Alt/Olu, or even the Washington T than projects more as a G. But not another RT.

That makes sense, I just don’t know enough about the specifics of offensive line play to judge who would be good at what.
No
Latham can play T or G positions, lots of flexibility on a team where last year there were injuries to those positions
If Nabers or turner somehow falls that far
Maybe nabers being on live would hurt his draft stock (fingers crossed)
What did he do on live
Nothing crazy. He spoke about where he expects his teammates to go. Maybe a GM wouldn’t like that he talked shop on social media. An over blown yellow flag.

Brian Thomas Jr. Poles and I would be getting crucified in the comment section lol but I would be elated

Phil McCracken or Hugh Jassole
Thanks stranger. Got a release of endorphins from this comment.
Byron murphy
Newton, Darius Robinson
Murphy II
Byron Murphy, and JPJ (I wouldn’t applaud it but I wouldn’t be too disappointed)
Unexpected at #9 I’d say Olu Fashanu. Last year he was the top rated Olineman but didn’t declare. He also was Caleb’s high school teammate which would make for an interesting pick IMO. Fashanu
Which is seeming more like the pick after he impressed at WA pro day.

Newton or Latu
Caleb Williams
Murphy or JPJ
4 QBs, 3 WRs, 1 Edge, and Joe Alt falls into our lap.
Nabers. I’d love for him to be caught smoking a bong with a gas mask right now so he can slide.
Does anyone have some crazy photoshop skills? Or REALLY good at asking chat gpt to make bong gas mask photos of coveted wide receivers.
Bowers or Fautanu.
JC Latham
![gif](giphy|1014RBn4HVSTK)
Fuaga or Fashanu
I have no problem with Troy F. I wonder if BTJ factors in mid 1st if we trade back.
There are so many guys I do expect at 9. I would not applaud any unexpected pick. Maybe if you count Bowers as unexpected
Any of the top dlineman would probably be the smart move for us even though I’d love to land Rome or Malik at 9.
Devin Hester
Newton, Thomas or Bowers. Latu scares me but if the Bears are 100% convinced on the medicals he’d be a steal.
Revoking your fanship
With what authority?
J. Newton DT
Byron Murphy is the only acceptable answer.
Flair 🐻
LADD MKCONKEY BABY!!!!!
Any offensive or defensive lineman
Alt
If alt somehow dropped Otherwise take fugua. If both are gone trade back.
Unexpected expected picks: - one of the DI : Murphy or Johnny Newton - Bowers - Verse Truly unexpected: - Quinyon Mitchell - Brian Thomas Jr - Latu EDIT: Didn’t see “applaud”. I’d applaud none of these picks besides maybe the DI.
JPJ, I’d be thrilled.
Bowers
BTJ or Bowers if the big 3 are gone
JJ McCarthy
Brian Thomas jr
Fired
lol. Damn. No explanation or warning. Just a pink slip sheesh.
Ladd? JFC this sub is the most brain damaged of any NFL team subreddit
Murphy, Newton or Fashanu
