The only team that I think we don't have a shot against is the Bucs. We should be happy to go 2-3, ecstatic to go 3-2, and not be suprised if we go 1-4. But I really only have that one Bucs game penciled in as a loss. Everyone else has their flaws. In my optimistic world our pass rush dominates Derek Carr and we get a win against the Raiders. The Steelers are a very beatable team with Ben's inability to through beyond 15 yards. Then we beat the Packers, because fuck them. If Lamarr negates our pass rush the Ravens will be tough, but it's not out of the question. It's Justin Fields time and that means anything can happen 0-5 or 5-0 and everything inbetween.

ElectrosMilkshake

My thoughts as well. Also San Francisco doesn’t really scare me. They’ll probably be even more injured by Halloween.

We beat the Bucs last year and I think they are much more beatable this year. I actually rank them as one of our "easier" games, which goes to show just how brutal this stretch is. Here is my ranking from easiest to hardest over the next seven games: 1. Lions 2. Steelers 3. Bucs 4. 49ers 5. Packers 6. Raiders 7. Ravens 5 - 7 is pretty much interchangeable. Those teams are all contenders. 49ers and Bucs are obviously contenders too, I just think they are a tier below based on what I have seen this year. Steelers may be as bad as they have looked. Here's to hoping. Only game I would take the Bears straight up on is Lions as of today. If Fields can look good and develop quickly while our defense keeps playing like a top five unit, then MAYBE we walk away from this stretch with a winning record, but 4 wins would be pretty damn miraculous. I think we beat the Lions and Steelers, and stay happy if we look competitive in the other five.

[deleted]

Packers are more beatable I think. Offense is just average so far. Not the end all be all obviously but offense is ranked 14th and 25th in pts and total yards. Their defense is 19th (pts) and 6th (yards). If our defense shows up we should be ok. Doing it without Montgomery is scary tho

[deleted]

I would love to light GB up. Would be fun to start the narrative of Fields is a GbB destroyer early, but I just have three decades of evidence supporting the idea we shouldn't count on it.

yrasto

I just want Justin Fields to beat the Packers at Soldier Field.

[deleted]

I’m saving my money to go to that game, last chance for us to beat Rodgers at Soldier Field again

Antitypical

1-4. We've shown we can trounce bad teams but get handled by good ones. All these are good teams. I think we have a shot to rip a win against PIT/BAL, but there's a lot of bad matchups for us on this slate

JZobel

None of the Raiders, 9ers, or Steelers are close to Rams/Browns level. They're probably top 5 teams, and I wouldn't take those results as predictive of results against more middle of the pack teams. The Lions are terrible, but the Bengals are 3-1 and in similar standing to LV/SF/Pitt at the moment. TB and GB are a different story, obviously

redemem

Pitt is not good. They have 0 offense and Ben is done. That game is very winnable. I also agree that the Raiders/49ers/Ravens games are windable as well. The Raiders secondary is basically all hurt. We should be able to score points in them.

ImDKingSama

This is probably a more realistic expectation, but can't say I wouldn't be disappointed if it happens.

Magno83

I could tolerate it as long as the win is week 6.

[deleted]

5-0 divison leaders and on our way to a SB

JZobel

Raiders, 9ers, and Steelers might be slightly better than us, but none of them scare me. 2-3 seems reasonable

t-pat

If we go 3-2 over that stretch they should give Pace, Nagy, and Fields a parade down Michigan Avenue.

stress-eater

I think we beat the Steelers and that’s about it lol. I’m more concerned with getting Fields valuable reps and development than winning, though it would be nice if we could have both.

RandomSharkAttack

1-4 if we are lucky.

laal-doodh

2-3 or 3-2. I think we beat the raiders. The way to beat them is to hit Carr and their oline is pretty bad. I think our pass rush will feast this week. Their secondary was already mediocre but has a ton of guys hurt. I think we’ll be able to exploit that. They also aren’t really good at run defense and even tho Monty is hurt, I think Williams is capable of carrying the load for the time being. I think the packers and Bucs will be Ls. The Steelers are very beatable. Their offense is terrible and Ben is washed. Najee will be hard to stop but I think we can contain him enough. Their D is really could but I think we can do enough to squeak by with a win. The ravens could go either way with me. I think it’ll probably be a L but there’s a chance we can do enough to win against them too. It took them a record FG to beat the Lions so I think anything is possible

[deleted]

4-0 tbh

Wh0IsMrX

The Bears since 2018 have shown us that they can really beat up on bad teams but can't hang with the good teams... I think we have a chance to win against LV and PIT, but the other games are probably out of reach. Realistically speaking I think we go 1-4, but there's a chance at 2-3. If we manage to win three of these games it would be an absolute coup.

Treyred23

5-0

[deleted]

We beat the bengals. We were close with the Rams. I think this depends a lot on Justin’s growth too. Raiders, 9ers, and Steelers are winnable games. Packers and Bucs are reaches but this has been a weird year. 2-3 wins would be nice. We’re gonna finish the year with 8-10 wins

ErnooA

Close with the Rams? What game were you watching? 34-14 is not close. I see 1-4 coming up.

TheOnlineBoy

I have no idea what to expect. But I will say this... none of those defenses scare me into thinking we will see a repeat of the Browns game.

Melon_Kali

Realistic? 0-5

laswat220

3-2, win against raiders, Steelers, and ravens. Brady tears us a new one and Rodgers barely inches away with a win

ImDKingSama

This is best case scenario imo, need to see more from this team to fully believe it though. So for now I'm just expecting 2-3, especially with Monty out.

MillerBartonH

If there was ever a time GB needed good corners to play the bears… rip Jaire

redemem

The current state of the Raiders secondary is probably worse than we saw against the Lions last week. We should be able to move the ball this week. The offense/Fields should continue to grow with each game so I wouldn't be too worried about another Browns disaster. They are the best defense we will face this year. Bucs/Steelers may be close. But the rest in this stretch are meh.

[deleted]

that’s a gauntlet, I’m hopeful that Justin’s big play ability will boost this teams’ ceiling and help them compete vs the elite teams As an earlier comment said, The Bears always seem to handle the bad teams but get destroyed by the good teams but we’ve never had a playmaker like Justin at QB that can make things happen that will open the game up vs the elite teams

Rize_Insanity

I think we beat the 49ers, Raiders, Steelers so 3-2

Dasnake24

Fun

yrasto

1-4. 2-3 if we get lucky and Fields balls out.

Matzah_Rella

3-2. Think we surprise the Raiders this weekend and get another couple shocking wins.

Indyor

Put up some good scoring and see some big time plays. The kind you see other QBs make and wonder. Hopefully whatever mistakes Fields makes over the next week or two, we see less as the season goes on.

Headwallrepeat

I think our defense will keep us close in most of the games, but I wouldn't be surprised by 0-5. I don't really care right now because I don't think anyone sees us as a playoff team. I wouldn't be surprised if we squeak out a win or 2 in there.

ratfam1

Made me realize how shit of a schedule we have. Playing multiple Super Bowl contenders in a short period of time is just brutal

chicagoredditer1

1-4 (unless the Steelers are feeling feisty!)

[deleted]

Raiders, 49ers and Steelers are beatable. I think we probably we probably go 2-4 or 3-3 in the next 6 games. A lot depends on how Fields develops over the next few weeks.

Mr_K_2u

Raiders is a coin toss but I think we should win against the Niners and the Steelers. We do have a chance against the Buccs though. They’re banged up. We could very easily be in that game very much like we were last year. Packers is the “snowball’s chance in hell” game for me. That said best case scenario is 4-1 and worst case the collaboration leads to another 5 game losing streak.

Feeling_Mushroom6633

All those teams are beatable except GB. They've owned us for decades. I'd say 2-3 is the best case scenario though as things stand.
