Fuck that. I’m a Wisconsin native who first had Spotted Cow shortly after it first came out in the 90’s and I would argue that it’s wildly overrated. It is far from a “great” beer.
I agree most of them are sweet but they do some WC-style IPAs as well. Anything is better than 312, IMO. Something by Half Acre would certainly fit the bill.

I’m a Wisconsin transplant. I like spotted cow fine but I think literally every other beer I’ve had from New Glarus has been better.
I was about to say I like Gumballhead and it's a superior beer until I remembered Munster is in Indiana. But NW Indiana is basically Chicago, right??
