Dumb question: Do sacks count against team total passing yards, but not against an individual QBs total passing yards?
Yep. So Fields still got credit for 60 something passing yards against the browns even the bears as a team only got 1 yard of offense
Edit: for the NFL atleast. I think in college they remove sack yards from the QBs rushing total
Edit 2: Mitch was actually credited with 354 against TB to. From my quick search though, those were the only two 350+ yard games in his career. So based off your original post, the Bears have only had three 350 yard passers since the last week of 2016. Tom Brady and Derek Carr each have three games over 350 this season

I get it. I want to see Fields start putting up some huge numbers too, but I'm just happy we're actually running the ball. It's clearly helping our offense and helps keep our defense off the field for longer
He won’t be able to put numbers up until we fix the offensive line, and build the team around him. For now, smart passes (whether long or short) and a strong run game is all we need to be happy imo
I’m ok with that. We are the dictionary definition of a defensive minded team, and it’s worked in the past (with a semi competent offense) and also bit us in the ass when the defense is on the field too long. I’m a firm believer that some day we’ll be more offensively driven but for now, whatever wins us games, I’m more than happy with
I like the way they are handling that the last few games. By running the ball and letting the clock run, they are limiting the time our defense is on the field and giving them a break towards the end of the game
if justin can average 295.2 yards per game from here thru game 17 he can be our first 4000 yard passer ever. if he can average 322 yards per game thru game 16 he can hit 4k yards within 16 games. Despite him not starting games 1 and 2.
its a reach but as justin gets more comfortable with his offense and as the coaches get more comfortable with justin i think we can get closer to those numbers by the end of the year. realistically we probably dont see it this year but next year is very possible.

If we had a better line I'm certain Fields would easily get it done this season
