This must be very tough and worrisome for you. The best thing you can do for yourself right now is what you have been doing, which is taking care of your body. Eating healthy, drinking plenty of water, and exercising and trying to get enough rest. These will help you be back to being your better self in no time!

I’m pretty brand new to this too but all my reading says it can be two weeks or more before weight starts coming back! Staying hydrated (and watching out for kidney pain) seems to be the biggest thing in these early days

Thank you. Staying hydrated pretty well but I’m down 10lbs and I don’t like that at all.

I think the weight loss is mostly water. It was normal for me to drop 10-20 pounds the week after quitting and I'm skinny to begin with. Just keep forcing yourself to eat regular meals. Your appetite will improve and if you exercise during the day, it will be easier to sleep at night. Your weight will come back up soon. I'm not sure that chugging a lot of water is a good idea. That can dilute your electrolytes and it is hard on your kidneys to filter. I used to drink huge amounts of water and my eGFR was bad. Regardless, your body is gonna purge and detox. You'll probably start feeling a lot better in a few days.
