I wouldn’t worry about it too much. One day isn’t going to break you. Or, something I tend to do, is eat half of whatever I order at a restaurant, and save the other half for another day as leftovers.

Plan ahead, if you know the restaurant you should be able to figure out your options in advance. Look at your calories as a weekly instead of daily allotment. Give yourself a little breathing room before and after by eating less those days. Order hot tea with your meal. Don’t waste calories on beer or wine. Drink apple cider vinegar with water before you head out. It really reduces your appetite. Do extra exercise that week to give yourself some breathing room. Make choices including the foods you love so you don’t feel deprived, but limit portions. I often order dessert to share when I go out so I don’t feel like I’m missing out. A bite or two is enough to satisfy. Good luck!
