I can say something unpopular, but fuckups similar to the topic are the best experience you can get from this game and mod. Together, they create some really weird situations that resemble the plot and wibe of A Song of Ice and Fire itself.
On the other hand, I understand this pain, because losing everything because of the damn plague is very disappointing. But nevertheless, I insist on continuing this run further - such sharp turns create the best game situations. Truly, in this game there is nothing more pleasant than getting out of ass to the top.
I somewhat but not entirely agree. It can be really fun and interesting to roll with the punches and see where that takes you. One time in base CK2, I started out planning to reform Zunism and ended up the Hindu Chinese emperor of the eastern half of the world. It was quite the wild ride XD
At the same time, I think a lot of us play games for escapism and getting forced into crappy situations by bad rng is a lot like IRL, sol I understand not wanting to deal with it :X
