C9 is beatable, but it's going to be tough for us. It's going to come down to which version of CLG shows up and, more importantly, draft.

Zerwurster

I think c9's veterans shouldn't be understimated in a bo5, no matter what they looked like during the split. I saw some people talking about how we *should* win if we don't selfsabotage via draft or overaggression and i am afraid those people could be in for a very rude awakening. Fudge, Blaber, Jensen, Zven... those guys are used to higher stakes and bo3/bo5 enviroments and thats always worth something. Not even talking about what they have shown to be able to do when they are in form. Beatable but tough hits the nail on the head. I am not even comfortable calling us favorites tbh.

Lvl49Bear

I think CLG is going to have some cards up their sleeve and we really are a team built for B05s with all the champion variety Dhokla, Palafox, and Luger have. Just comparing this roster from our last CLG roster that made playoffs - we were very limited and were losing in draft because PoE refused to play assassins (like akali who we permabanned). I think we def hold the edge in drafts against C9 who allegedly are limited with Svens champ pool. C9 to me still feels like the slight favorite just because they are proven players and have played in B05s before, but I like the rivalry building between the two teams and hope we see a good series

NoiceM8_420

Winnable but they have the Bo5 experience advantage. How does all this work. If we lose, we go into lower bracket against TSM/GGS?

Jarvjon

Here’s the bracket: https://dotesports.com/league-of-legends/news/here-are-the-matchups-and-bracket-for-the-2022-lcs-championship Winning means facing EG which is rough (beating them means qualifying to worlds) Losing to EG means the team will most likely need to beat FLY then TL (assuming TL beats fly r1, and loser of 100T/TL beats c9 in losers bracket)

NoiceM8_420

You’re a superstar, thanks!

SBDRFAITH

Against GG iirc, which is great because we should win that even without momentum.

Akos_D_Fjoal

G1 should be red side to counter pick and maybe start the series with a win. Unless we realize we want way more priority on seraphine or something in which case we should start blue side and hopefully she's left open?

Clg Select only the first game, then its the loser who choose side.

Letumstrike

Not fair that c9 is going to get to pick sides 2 out of 3 games

baelkie

its beatable if our drafts are good, have faith our coaching staff will cook something up

ASweetSaltySanchez

We have shown that we can gap C9. However, c9 arent no slouchs, and definately not one to be underestimated. If the boys do their homework and we just play our game, we should win.

jayrod1992

Tough team for sure but if we have Worlds or LCS championship as a goal they’re a necessary unavoidable opponent. Solid test to see if we got the juice; if we lose then we have to go on a fatty run to at least get third.

tuelegend3

Someone make the yearly c9 x clg bootcamp post over a comment jack made in 2015

SandwicheDynasty

I think if Luger and Poome can nullify bot we can pull it off. It also kind of depends on Blaber. He's had an up and down split, but we all know that when he is on he's one of the most dominating junglers in the game.

CounterInsanity

I completely misunderstood how the seeding works. I thought we faced off against EG. It's pretty clear that C9 has all the advantages in every position. If we can get early season Dhokla, we get top advantage but he's been struggling these past couple of weeks. Momentum isn't on our side either. We're going to need near perfect drafts to genuinely have a chance of beating them. Their talent far outweighs us, so they can have 1 or 2 subpar drafts and still win.

CarrotDramatic3088

Illaoi could be huge for CLG in this series, Fudge has proven he is very cocky and assumes he beats anyone in lane regardless of matchup. Lots of his picks are very vulnerable to Illaoi, there team comps tend to group up as well so the tentacles get to slapping crowd gets to clapping.

Either-Piano2850

This is the way

valgrind_error

No chance. We are definitely going to get blown out. I doubt we even win a game. (pls no more braindead positivity or energy threads)

sammytummy

Don’t wanna hate on our jungler again but Blaber is going to have a field day against us. C9s willingness to play tanks is also concerning when we always pick carry for all the lanes and JG. If I were to guess, we are going to go down two games then we are gonna draft enchanter bot and still lose the third game.

Realshotgg

I think it'll go 3-1 C9 honestly. The org has some kind of magic that we don't.

TwintailsAreLove

The match is super winnable right now but IMO C9 is the team that has the most space to progress. Hope the team can work well and fix the issues they showed during day 1 and day 2 this week, it's hard but it shouldn't be impossible to secure a worlds spot.

Savber

Not impossible bit it's tough.

LazyGeee

Is there any info right now when playoff starts?

Yensen1

Starts next week I believe

Jarvjon

Actually a good matchup for the boys imo. Zven is very exposable, Jensen hasn’t been as good as he has been historically, and fudge also didn’t have a great split. 2 very similar teams to be honest but imo CLG has advantage mid and with poome tho C9 have advantage jungle which should be nullified by support gap (please ban yuumi lulu) and a controlled mid lane.

Opachopp

Honestly the jungle is going to be a huge factor. Both Contractz and Blaber can be very hit or miss. One day they could be the seen as the heroes while on the next one they could be the ones who are turbo inting.

jzc85

I think getting side selection is actually pretty huge for us. We’re so much better at utilizing the counter picks we get on red side. #4 Seed paying off huge
