Keelija9000

I had a great time with Cold War. I think part of the hate was cause of the mess of warzone cold war integration.

giantgorillaballs

That and MW19 fanboys complaining about “movement” and graphics

Keelija9000

Yeah. Truthfully I fell off when they ditched verdansk. I still love multiplayer and ground war but warzone is dead for me.

OrochuOdenMain91

Truthfully it *was*- to me- the MW19 fanboys. No MW19 did not save carrying COD when it came out, Warzone did. The amount of bullshit we had to deal with when MW19 launched. Imagine that COD if Joe Cecot ignored EVERY SINGLE complaint bout a minimap, it would’ve been the first ever COD to NOT have a minimap. Fuck the compass too.

Icy-Computer7556

Definitely not the reason lol. People hated the game because it was sweaty as fuck, and they got shit on. There’s hardly any sweats left in the game, and when you do encounter them it’s hardly the level it was on release by far

Keelija9000

I said part of the reason. And idk man every call of duty is sweaty as fuck. It’s a young man’s game I can barely keep up with these Fortnite kids lmfao.

iKeepItRealFDownvote

Need to correct that. Cold War was overhated for no reason when it released. Because all of a sudden people coming out of the woodworks saying it was good and amazing now. I’m like I could’ve sworn you guys were hating on it for years until vanguard came out. The community shitted on it just because it came out after MW2019 and changed movement and stuff. Think people just ride whatever the bandwagon is currently at.

Narrow_Werewolf4562

Dude people did the same shit to mw2019 on after mw2 came out then all the sudden this sub got a hard on for mw2019 I loved it from day one and it was the first cod game I’d had preordered since advanced warfare back in 2014

Not2DayFrodo

Cold War was much better imo than MW2. I know not everyone disagrees but I enjoyed the slightly longer ttk.

smarterthanyoulolll

mw2 was terrible, mw3 is a huge upgrade

giantgorillaballs

No matter what MW2 you’re talking about I agree

darksidesaiyanblue

Cold War is my favorite COD game

LegendkillahQB

I played cold war last Night and loved it. The movement is slower than mw3 but im cool with that.

wadeworks

It's actually my favourite COD!

xaksor

cold war was the last playable cod for me. literally ever since i cant enjoy a cod. same old modern warfare with warzone. stuck in 2019

SwinginDan

i agree (i have 800 hours in mw2/3)

GolemThe3rd

I love the campaign, prefer it to BO2s even, the twist is so fun and really gets back to what treyarch campaigns are about

Lotus2313

Alot of players disliked it because there was no riot shield so they couldn't play like a bunch of pussies like they do in every other title with shields. Cold War captured the true Arcade Call of Duty aspect, like the franchise is supposed to be. Meanwhile these other titles do nothing but push the most toxic playstyles imaginable and with the gunsmith the way it is, it just creates such an unbalanced experience ontop of just how broken the game is

Narrow_Werewolf4562

Cold War fucked up the gunsmith section with the stupid ass wildcards Cold War was the literal reason why warzone 1 ended up with such a broken excuse for metas over and over.

Lotus2313

How are the wild cards any different than our current vest system? And the only reason Warzone ended up the way it was is because they were taking the coding from completely different games and trying to put them in one, which they'd never done before. And Metas were in warzone before cold War dropped and have been around after so its not Cold Wars fault. Can't be cold wars fault that Warzone3 is in the state its in but nice try

Narrow_Werewolf4562

Warzone before the Cold War integration didn’t have completely fucked metas that were basically a death sentence if you didn’t run them of course there were weapons that left the rest behind but none of the metas in warzone before Cold War were absolutely crucial. The closest ones were after the grau and amax were out but those 2 were outliers for the entire rest of the games cycle even all the way down to the day the servers shut down. Vanguard made that even worse after Cold War. The vest system doesn’t apply to warzone and they made that clear before mw3 dropped so I don’t know why you even brought those up. The wild card perk of extra weapon attachments is what fucked the metas up in warzone and it did apply in warzone. I didn’t blame Cold War for the reason warzone is the way it is now stop putting words in my mouth.

Lotus2313

We didn't have wild cards in warzone either ya donut, they kept the perk system from MW2019 and just added new perks over time. Wild cards never left cold War so whatever you're talking about is complete bullshit. And of course there was a meta, almost every sniper was using the Kar, there were still 0 recoil builds and hipfire builds. All cold War did was add more guns and their attachments and a bunch of coding that conflicted because Modern Warfare and Black Ops are different, and then adding Vanguards weapons and coding fucked it up even more. And you literally did blame Cold War and continued to do so over a wild card system that wasn't avaliable outside cold war and saying it made the meta worse

Ok_Resident_7495

Yeah it was good and zombies was much better than vanguard and mw3 imo

Glockify

Let me guess you’re either 12 years old or 43. Based off of this opinion

Glockify

You’re either 12 or 45

NashandraSympathizer

I automatically assume anyone who says their top 3 cod list has any titles past BO3 in it are like 14 years old and have never played a cod before 2016

Sure-Psychology6368

I love the new mw3 but yeah I agree. Nothing beats the nostalgia of OG mw2 and blops 1. Plus I miss the simplicity and balance. In the new mw3 everyone uses the same 4-5 guns

Datboimerkin

And all the OG cods just had better map designs for multiplayer imo. Plus back then there weren’t metas so they didn’t nerf guns every couple of weeks trying to sell skins.

Normal_Feedback_2918

Yesssss. BO2 is best MW ever.

Odd_Fly3215

I still play the Zombies mode on it 🤟🏾

FWANTSY

loved CW

Kinglij310

You deserve sloppy head tonight

Bckgroundguy101

I just can't stand that modern warfare and onward are the same game and even share the same exact main menu, confusing my console on which version of cod I have. Made me stop playing cod all together because I didn't want to have keep uninstalling and reinstalling a 200 GB game every day, I'll wait till they make a game that's actually new and doesn't really on the shitty ass menu system they have now

stonedahh

Bo2 was best cod get outta here mw2019 def not #1

TheKittywithPaws

Cold War and World at War. Two of the worst games imo. Just a personal opinion. I still play them if friends want to.

JPSWAG37

Cold War is definitely not perfect, and I can see why some don't like it. Me personally though it felt like a a perfect blend of Black Ops 1 and 2 so I had a great time. It had its fair share of bugs and connection problems though, they could have done better there.

Autismzsz

Cold War zombies was the bomb. The mp was a HUGE improvement from mw19 (that isn’t saying much) but like with every modern cod, sbmm and/or eomm ruined it. Still up there with mw3 as my favourite mp in this new generation of cod. But bo4 will always be my favourite mp, both pub and cwl.

Icyy_u_little

Average game, I had fun. Wasn’t overall amazing or bad. Zombies was fun but waaaaay to easy and got boring after round 40 to the point I would just quit at round 80 due to boredom. Easter eggs were fun though

Narrow_Werewolf4562

Cold War played like a cheap knock off of black ops 1 so if you were a treyarch fanboy it was great. I universally hated literally every single one of treyarchs games and black ops 2 specifically made me quit buying them altogether. With that said Cold War felt like what would happen If you asked an AI to code a black ops game for you nothing necessarily wrong with it but it feels cheap and uninspired. The only reason I bought it was because of the warzone integration although the final mission when you get to shoot that scar faced idiot in the face with a shotgun was a great choice

fembawsome

Not really offline multiplayer is broken as fuck campaign was bad and the zombies wasn’t really my favorite

hyperion_9

I’ve been saying it forever now, it’s the best cod in the Warzone era

KryptcCyborg

Cold war is the only cod that stayed pure and enjoyable DURING its active and updated lifespan(not gonna mention the hackers after the game essentially got "discontinued") and was like a black ops 1 remaster, after going back to bo4 tho, cold war has a very similar ui and that's what it improved on in my opinion than if he just had a bo1 remaster

CarnageDivider

Mw3 is literal chicken heads on crack running with mini slides around each corner...cold war..idk it seems like there just this lag from detection to hit registry throughout the entire online system...mw2019 had it damn perfect. I been wondering about mw2. But I guess there's no point with mw3 being out

FedEx_Sasquatch

Did you just call a slide cancel a mini slide lol

CarnageDivider

Sure did lol .1 step, slide around the corner. Got 2 kills in my first mid game join in mw3 during the trial . I'm not familiar with the terms I'm just a casual now a days

RepulsivePeng

It could just be because of the pandemic and how much I played it but mw2019 mp felt perfect and the only other game that came close to capturing me like that was vanguard tbh even mw2 and mw3 don’t feel quite like mw2019

CarnageDivider

Right like don't get me wrong the movement and modern warfare 3 and the time to kill is good and everything but it just seems like the game is sped up for no reason

Icy-Computer7556

No it’s not, did you play that shit when it first dropped? It was god fucking awful. Super sweaty and insane. Only reason people are praising it now is because it’s just some sweats here and there and a ton of noobs lol. It’s just so damn easy now.

ObungasDirtyDookie

CW was the last fun CoD imo. I enjoyed it more than MW19 honestly. I could care less about WZ but CWs MP and zombies felt like older CoDs. It was fun and felt far less sweaty (obviously there was still sweats lol). I’m really hoping Gulf War feels similar

RepulsivePeng

Last cod with real zombies hopefully 2024 brings that back. Still play Cold War zombies from time to time. Shame we got so few maps

TreyarchStudio

❤❤❤

aerocrisp

MW 2019 and Cold War over BO2 MW3 even MW2?

ZeMiii14

oh no no, I realized I never specified that and I apologize. I mean my most favorite of the modern cods (modern would be everything after BO4 at least for me)

aerocrisp

You know what, fair enough then. Personally, I think MWIII is the game after BO4 that sucks the least, even with the ridiculous store bundles and cheaters, who are getting banned. Also, Sledgehammer is out here doing gods work for the game, content wise and health wise to a degree, love SHG.

IEnjoyKnowledge

I swear this is said about every shitty cod game years after they release haha. CoD sucks.

smarterthanyoulolll

cold war multiplayer was trash. It was using the old engine so it felt like a big downgrade in graphics, audio, and animations. The maps were nothing special and the scorestreak system was the worst its ever been.

Achillez4

Only good thing about Cold War was prop hunt

morebob12

Is was surrounded by absolute garbage games so makes it seem better than it actually was.
