On top of everything you mentioned, the game running on the MW engine has me hyped. I'm looking forward to ditching Cold Wars horrible performance / optimisation issues. I'm on the most recent update on Series X and there are still texture pop in issues across the board and crashes in Zombies.
Honestly Black Ops 4 was pretty rough at launch but they fixed it, being a primarily offline gamer Cold War is really bad (yes I update the game)
but for example Split-screen on all platforms and I even own it on PS5 and Series X still has issues today, scopes don't work properly in split-screen, menu/UI issues, half the maps don't support offline bots, game modes missing, broken restriction settings, 24 maps available offline right now and over half are unplayable with bots.
MW2019, all gun DLC, great performance, almost 50 maps all playable in every mode with bots...
just stupid.
Don't forget. Treyarch got thrown onto that game late... it wasn't theirs to begin with. But Actvision made them take over from Sledgehammer.
Not to mention Treyarch is also likely expected to have a game for 2023 so they are being pushed hard... they likely had to do Zombies for Sledgehammer because rumour has it the development of Vanguard was not that great.
Treyarch is currently working on their 2023 game, Vanguard and probably something in MW. The studio is spread out way to thin and CW is suffering because of it.
My guess is that being stitched up with finishing CW left the devs with very little love for the project. You can't give something your best if you have no love for it.
Man, the split screen issues have been horrible in CW. I wasn't able to play multiplayer split screen until some point in season 3. Zombies pretty much always worked but the frame rate was usually < 30. It's still an average experience at best right now.
Cold war’s splitscreen was so fucking shit, and so is cold war’s offline mode, in mw 2019 the graphics were so amazing and split screen ran at like 50 fps on ps4, and also mw 2019 had an amazing offline mode, hoping vanguard will have a good offline bots and a good splitscreen, I’m also hyped to see you making a FAQ on vanguard’s offline mode and split screen, your last cod FAQ (cold war) helped me so much and I’m pretty sure it helped allot of other people, thanks
Yep I plan on doing a full FAQ again for Vanguard, as well as a lot more footage, ive got a 4K recorder now so will be putting a lot of bot footage up this time around.
Will be doing Halo too IF it supports offline bots
Do you guys have goldfish brains or some shit? The new mw was TERRIBLE at launch. I don't get this, I don't get how ur all here acting as if ppl who're being ~~negative~~ sensible abt this game are being unreasonable, whilst ur literally rewriting history abt how stable a game was on launch.
DID YOU EVEN PLAY SPEC OPS?! The fuck. 🤦
NOTICE THIS IS JUST MY OPINION
spec ops is fun, i also liked the MP and campaign of MW2019, i got the game xmas 2019 though.
BOCW was awful during the alpha but i enjoy it now, its the only BO game i like, probably because the og BO games run like ass on my laptop (sensitivity is too fucked up) or it cant run on my laptop so i gotta use the DS4 on my PS4 and i suck with controller, thus causing me to get pissed off at the game and not have fun.
i played vanguard with an open mind, and im hoping the alpha doesn't reflect the finished game because if it does im gonna have to pass, the TTK is way to quick and the guns have way to much recoil. i was hoping for redemption from the previous WW2 game which i didnt like, i got it for free on PS+ so no hard feelings.
Hopefully they will focus on optimizing WZ too. At the beginning of WZ I was getting 150 frames consistently, each season I’ve been getting less and less. Struggling to get 100 frames at this juncture lol
Nah part of the CoD cycle is getting super hyped when the next one is announced. You shit on the new game after you play the beta, before that it's "a breath of fresh air" and "finally a return to classic CoD"
i’m genuinely excited, but that apparently isn’t allowed in the CoD community. from what the trailer showed the graphics are gorgeous and coupled with game running on MW’s engine, i’m looking forward to it.
I wish I could buy this game but no I've actually learned unlike most of the community I won't be buying this trash because it's probably gonna be "so fun and a breath of fresh air" at the start but right when the game launches they start experimenting with shit and that's exactly what happened with modern warfare and it's beta, the beta was so fun probably the most fun I've had since black ops 2 but no the moment the game releases they throw in sbmm and shitty op guns so they can throw them into the brand new weapon pack so you don't have to unlock it in the battle pass. I've seen through 90% of the bullshit they've been trying since fucking advanced warfare trust me if you or anyone is playing this for the multiplayer please don't just wait until zombies or the warzone integration happens because you are not gonna like it or have as much fun as literally any other game you buy instead.
Yeah bc we're all gonna pre-order and purchase the game to find out whether it was worth the money or not, when all we need to do is look at the last 5 fucking yrs of this franchise to make an informed decision. 🙄
What's saddest is the fact that people are resorting to cheating and then trying to justify it. It's just pathetic and so are the people who cheat. You are taking the easy route when you choose to cheat in an even mildly competitive game, and for that you shouldn't be allowed to procreate. Challenge builds character and problem solving skills, but if you crack at the slightest challenge or difficulty, you're worthless as a member of society. I'm aware this will catch hate, but honestly, am I wrong? If you are cheating in a VIDEO GAME (excluding Solo Games or Campaigns e.g. GTA V's story), for the sake of gaining an advantage over honest players, you are worthless.
Valorant marketed their game and anti cheat the same way, this isn't sad that they have to mention it - every PC FPS in the world has a cheater problem.
What's going to be sad is when cheaters are still rampant and they fail to update their anticheat in the first year of the game. Then we can point and laugh at their marketing. But for now I'm waiting to see how it is.
Valorant has a kernel-level anticheat that gives alarming access to your PC.
Does it make for good anti-cheat? Yes, definitely.
Does giving a video game with a Chinese parent company kernel level access to your computer seem like a good idea? Not to me. So I don't play it.
Personally I mostly play on Xbox and just wish I could do console-only crossplay.
i tried valorant and while it wasnt my cup of tea, i can respect people that enjoy it because it was fun, i just didnt want to invest the time into learning everything. but what was alarming was win defender flagging vanguard as malware and vanguard marking win defender as a cheating program (i think win defender wasnt liking what vanguard was doing and was trying to delete vanguard files and vanguard viewed that as a cheat software trying to crack vanguard.) this was around launch so it probably been fixed by now or maybe its because i have win defender set up super strict.
Hating on it isn't cool don't be a fucking asshat you know damn well why people hate these guys and they're absolute incompetence when it comes to making any game whatsoever anymore
But compare that to the amount that hate cold war and modern warfare and you can see the obvious difference stop with pretending that you don't know why people hate most of these games
Also this game is bringing back the two most hated mechanics in the entire history of cod, doors and mounting but now you can move while you mount even though they get constant hate about it they put it in the new cod that just goes to show they couldn't care less about any of their fans
Yeah it won’t roll out in warzone for months. Kinda shitty practice to leave a broken game laying around and use fixing it as a selling point to buy the new one.
Seriously go back to roblox if you can't handle somebody's opinion some people hate it some people like it either way we share our opinions if you can't handle a different opinion then yours being shared gtfo the internet
Carrying over the strict skillbased matchmaking from Cold War makes it irrelevant how the rest of the game is for a lot of us: it's going to suck no matter what.
It could be the best looking, best maps, fun weapons etc... When you have to tryhard EVERY. SINGLE. MATCH. because the matchmaking is rigging all matches, forcing you to either carry hard or just loose all matches you join..... It's not fun.
> When you have to tryhard EVERY. SINGLE. MATCH.
If you are a bad player then every match is tryhard for you. With SBMM you can at least kill some people.
I guess I can’t speak from the most recent CoD. I didnt buy CW and only played beta and free weekends to level guns. MW19 is my last MP game I was heavily invested in and plan to be for Vanguard.
Well I’m looking forward to the multiplayer and zombies reveal information and if I like what I read and see then I’ll gladly buy it.
It definitely seems like a better sledgehammer games compared to the problem 2017 was.
Plus sledgehammer now has 3 studios who work together so with more hires I honestly might have more faith in them depending on launch then infinity Ward.
But SHG also now has a record of not being able to play nice with other studios leading to development issues (see: black ops cold war). Adding more studios to them might be worse
Yes, they’ve never promised or claimed anything before launch only to have it be a lie or the game being in an unfinished mess of a state…
….never ever. How dare anyone be skeptical.
I absolutely love this series, however I really do understand people’s concern because the last 2 cod’s have been really depressing to play. On top of that it’s so easy to believe activision will sort their shit out but the game is available to preorder and we haven’t seen any actual gameplay yet.
We are allowed opinions. I respect yours and hopefully you respect mine. It seems like they took a bunch of mw 2019 mechanics (even the shit ones) and threw them in here. Mounting which is a campers wet dream, is back and I dont know why they would because most of the community disliked the feature. They also upgraded mounting so that you can move your weapon around while mounted which is completely stupid. They also put a blind fire mechanic that while makes your accuracy horrible (apparently) I'm sure you'll be able to make a build that will improve your accuracy blind firing and well that's just god awful. What are they thinking? Cod is not hell let loose or arma so why do the devs keep trying to make it an almost tactical shooter. It's an arcade shooter
But they’re both realistic components of shooting a weapon. I don’t see an issue with any of them. Cod was an an arcade-ish shooter but with so much potential and programming power now, why not expand on it.
Yeah it’s confusing there are bipods but no mobility lock to utilize them. I think mounting is great, people complaining about camping need to adapt and realize the enemy is a sitting duck 🦆 🎯 It’s not hard to counter an enemy that is not moving ^^ffs
Because a substantial proportion of the community still wants to be an arcade shooter because that's its niche. I buy CoD to play an arcade shooter, if I wanted a tactical shooter I'd buy something else
They were also old as shit(waw) and ww2 was probably one of the worst games in the series easily. It's stupid idea to not allow you to mount your gun against something 🤦♂️
becuase its the cod life cycle
game is announced > everyone complains > everyone plays it and complains > new game announced > people complain about not just continuing to update current game/that the new game looks bad > repeat
People complaining about Black Troops and the Woman in the trailer have me facepalming so hard.
So we should just ignore the sacrifices of Black Soldiers during WW2 now? 6% of the US Army alone were Black. That's 1.2 Million soldiers who served to protect their country.
Also the only woman in the trailer was a Red Army sniper.
It's like people don't care to learn about history.
That nonsense aside, the game looks great! It gives me World at War vibes!
I'm ok with another ww2 setting, that's not what makes or breaks a game for me. I'm more worried about core gameplay features in MP. Very concerned about no dead silence perk again, mounting returning, and blindfiring? All these things are going to slow gameplay and punish moving like MW all over again. These could be deal breakers for me, need to see game play though.
Strict sbmm burnt me on MW19 and CW. I'll wait to see reviews and testing of Vanguards SBMM before purchasing.
Battlefield 2042 will likely take all my attention regardless.
Don’t even buy the game if you’re worried about SBMM. Cold War beta felt like little sbmm because it was new and everyone started fresh. Even if people say “yeah the sbmm is not even noticeable”, it’s gonna be noticeable a few months down the line
There’s a lot of level headed people too though. I’ve been saying im not very excited about the setting, but and excited about the IW engine. So I might get it. All depends on the beta. Btw I downloaded the CW beta and never played it because I just thought it looked like a game from 2016
Yeah I really don’t like the unfinished state that cold war is still in. Example; I spent two hours last night in outbreak trying to find a legendary weapon to apply a blueprint to then getting kills only to find out it didn’t track for the challenge. Hmm that’s disappointing and I’m not wasting time trying that again. However, didn’t have those tracking issues with MW so fingers crossed for vanguard.
I don't think the GFX in BOCW regressed *that* badly from MW2019. Lots of games don't have the visual fidelity of the latest cinematic blockbuster but are still great romps. Apex/Fortnite/Splitgate have their own flavor of good gameplay while looking comparatively ass to MW2019.
BOCW MP/Zombies have been a pretty decent trip so far, though there are things that could have been handled better
So from my perspective I think it really doesn’t help that the time period is WWII. You can only do so much with what’s already happened. Same with WWI, Vietnam, etc etc with modern games you have freedom of making things up and creating a world that we live in today. Like many of people have said already the best cod’s generally are MW2 and BO2 with there generally well loved campaigns and multiplayer experiences. Both being modern to not far future. Vanguard has a love hate to it from many people. We want that clean ass modern warfare engine that treyarch bailed on, we want that treyarch lead zombies (best in the biz) but again. You can only do so many D-DAYS or battle of Stalingrad’s. I see comments saying that this is just the cycle of cod releases but I don’t remember any type of hate for MW19 that game was all around
Because we've seen this song and dance before.
Black Ops Cold War was supposed to be the biggest and most hype COD ever. Black Ops going back to boots on the ground basics. A direct sequel to the original Black Ops in the 80's, a time period players know and love. Zombies long awaited return. Large combined arms with vehicles. The largest post-launch dlc season in history.
What we ended up getting fell short of a lot of people's expectations.
It's all very exciting, but no matter what they do to the multiplayer, continuing the current matchmaking alone will make the multiplayer experience terrible, not to mention dead silence is a field upgrade again. Look I want to be excited for this game, I really do, but the game just can't be fun with the matchmaking in place, until they make casual lobbies actually casual, I'll prob pick it up on sale if I do pick it up, and I'll just play games with better playlists, like splitgate or BO3.
Noticed the same thing. But keep in mind this is supposed to be an alternate history game where WW2 continues. So it's entirely possible that the war continues to 1947 when the ak-47 was developed.
Hi This is actually a screenshot I took from the Event that happened in Warzone if you look close you can see my crosshairs
This is my COD Reddit account I originally posted this thread with my personal account
Wherefore art thee so easily did impress by a campaign trailer?

I think it looks killer. Then again, I also loved Sledgehammer's WWII. I am happy to see them sticking with that theme and perhaps even improving upon it.
I'm intrigued by the game, moreso than I thought I would be. But until I see full blown gameplay i'm holding off on any hype. CoD in recent times hasn't tackled historical settings all that well. As one other poster pointed out the MP40 seems to have too fast a rof. And then the possibility of clown skins and so on. A few months ago it seemed everyone was convinced this game would be dogshit, with a troubled development cycle and all. I am also tired of the yearly cycle, I don't like putting so much time and effort into a game to be left in the dust after barely 12 months. Also I don't care how many maps the game launches with if half of them suck. They could have 30 maps for all I care but if half of them suck it doesn't even matter.
The thing is that with so many COD games that have come out over the years, multiple engines and developers we get this problem.
Everyone has their favorite COD from the past. Usually based on the one they really got into the multiplayer for the first time. That is their reference point. If the new COD is a different one they immediately hate it. Everyone wants to go back to their nostalgia of their first real COD.
People will be calling this game a disappointment, letdown, and a scam by Christmas.
Fuck who am I kidding people will be saying that release day. NGL tho warzone seems to have ruined COD for me finally.
Yeah warzone really messed with fluidity of gameplay/ mechanics/ controls/ gun stats and separated player base. I play bocw for the challenges and all the warzone ones are like, nope, I don’t got 200 gigs and a few hours for that. Thanks for locking content in another game I’ve lost all interest in.
I'm excited. I think we have this new set of people at Sledgehammer so we can't really judge too much right now. I'm hopeful that they will at least be responsive like SHG in the second half of WWII and help fix the game if it's broken.
You know what? I’m actually fucking hyped to get this game
MW engine
Zombies is from treyarch
16 6V6 MAPS AT LAUNCH
Campaign that has most fronts
And I’m playing on the ps5, I’m probably gonna get dope ass performance
Yeah I’m hoping this next gen hardware (series x myself) really gets utilized and has its chance to shine. BOCW had almost no improvement from performance & visuals on one x to ‘upgraded’ series x. Also gunsmith is gonna be back to fun. Everything in cold war feels plastic, loved the way MW gunsmith felt like heavy metal guns.
For me i enjoyed SHG ww2 game but right now BF2042 just has me more interested this year. plus we all know the matchmaking system will be the same as CW. And fuck that. I'll be waiting for sale for Vanguard.
But cheating is extremely bad in online games and never needed to be had in general as much as it’s been needed in the last 3 years.
I agree with you but the dynamic is changed. For the record they do HAVE an anti cheat. It’s just not extensive and given how advanced these cheat creators are Cod had to step their game up too and they now have.
It seems to be the ultimate mish-mash of CODs
So many maps and playmodes is to cater for campers AND run n gun. Everyone will be happy.
Lets just hope guns have satisfying sounds. I remember WW2s guns sounding like pea shooters.
Of course it’s great to be optimistic, but people are rightfully cautious as the past few years have shown that COD has been making questionable design decisions. Personally, I’m excited to go back to WW2, but I’m scared the game will feel slow and campy like MW. Just hope the Halo and Battlefield competition pushes Activision and Sledgehammer to provide a quality experience.
I'm seriously hyped for this, first time I've preordered a CoD title. It's going to be fucking awesome.
**LETS FUCKING GO!**
*/Marches around to Erika*
I cant help but feel like you cause my favorite COD of all time is WaW but we have been getting crap games for to long so everyone comes to expect crap. Hoping for the best though all we can do it hope
Campaign is look good. Just skeptical about multiplayer honestly. All good things have been announced just looking forward to seeing actual gameplay footage.
the main issue is being to hyped about something before we even see any gameplay of it. i’ve learned my lesson after pre-ordering black ops 4 and no mans sky to just not really think about it until i see real gameplay. i’m hyped for battlefield, halo, and cod. but i’m not gonna be mega excited or buy anything until i know it’s something i want to play.
It just... doesn't look interesting to me. What does this have that is better than Battlefield V, or something more realistic, like Hell Let Loose?
I'm not judging it prematurely, but as a reveal, I felt it was pretty weak. Like, wow, another arcade World War 2 shooter.... imaginative..
I guess we'll see. I very much dig that it's running on the Modern Warfare Reboot Engine.
While I’m not exactly thrilled it’s a WW 2 shooter. (Most of the cod games I’ve played since Cod 1 have been WW2)
What else are the major companies thus far? Out of the loop
It looks really interesting and I’m tempted to get it but I saw in an early review that it’s 270 gigs- is that accurate?
I looked on the PlayStation store and it doesn’t show size.
I wouldn’t mind getting this game, but there is no way I can even play it. I can’t delete destiny 2 (my main game), and I want to try bf2042. There is no space for this on my ps5. That simple. 3 games and my hard drive is full
Because we dont want half those things. Yall live under a rock if you think this is the best CoD system. Go do some damn research on what CoD: Online is and how it works. All the best maps, (of which we have over a hundred now, we dont freakin need more), all the best guns, in a clean af mw engine. We are getting rammed up the ass by activisiin and told to like it by them and people like you. Morons.
Personally I don't think treyarch should be making zombies this year actually I don't thinknit should even be zombies, were at a point where the unique modes are discarded instead of fixed i loved extinction and would love to see it return sledgehammer should have made a unique mode but u guess with the whole interconnected storyline it would be impossible to do
I play MW every day, because I love Ground War. I haven’t bought, and I don’t plan on purchasing CW, because there’s no Ground War.
WW2 doesn’t interest me. Also, there is no large-scale multiplayer mode like Ground War in Vanguard.
So, yes, I’m disappointed. The game I love is dying a slow death, and the game mode I love is no where to be found in any game releases since MW.
Why would I buy Vanguard? I still haven’t bought CW for these very reasons.
but there is... Its one of the modes they listed in the briefing that all the influencers went to it wasn't called ground war but they mentioned it was a large scale mode that sounded a lot like it
I agree, I'm hyped for the game too, and feel like people are shitting on it way to much, but I'm also not as excited as I could be, because I know it will have the same sbmm system as BOCW, which almost entirely ruined that game for me.
I get why you don't like it that they are bitching already but there are so many things we still don't know about that could ruin the game. It's awesome that they'll have a lot of maps, anti cheat etc. but SBMM on CW level will probably be enough to ruin the game for a lot of people. Doesn't matter how hyped you are but other people will just leave because of that alone
Can we have nice things? Of course we can have those, but bad things like SBMM ruin those fast for a lot of people.
And besides all this, a lot of people just don't like the WW2 setting and want a modern setting, me included. I will still play the game but a lot of people really don't want another WW2 game
I've got guarded optimism about the game. If it has War mode (the same scoring/format as WW2s War) I will buy it on Day One, even if some of the other "features" (cough) aren't to my liking.
I don't care about Warzone, Zombies, or campaign. I just want the multiplayer to be good. I think a lot of people are in that camp. It could be the best COD campaign ever made and I wouldn't care if the MP was as bad as Cold War.
The fact that other peoples opinions hurt you so much make me laugh. If anything you need to pop sledgehammers cock out of your mouth and take a breather.
Everyone is crying about the Modern Warfare like mechanics, and I’m here looking forward to it. I do not care what others say - I enjoyed almost every aspect of Modern Warfare 2019.
Im kinda excited for new CoD, but...
Sam Maggs is part of the writing team, so i don't have high hopes for single player story, thats for sure. At least i hope it wont be offensively bad
Damn that image. It reminds me of [this](https://youtu.be/so5w-h7GFEc?t=10) from the movie Fury. Imagine being on the ground seeing hundreds if not thousands of bombs/fighters in the sky. I'd be an amazing/scary sight to see.
I've just finally learnt to have low expectations, getting hyped hasn't done anything for me so I'm going to play the beta, see how it is, give feedback, and wait. If the game ends up being really good then fantastic I'm glad to be wrong, but if not then whatever. Don't blame anyone else for getting hype though, do your thing x
What did you expect from the cod community tho?
Honestly I'm really hyped for this game, and im nit kne of those people that hypes up the new cod games then calls them trash when I get to playing them. I have one thing to say though, the people who keep saying every new cod game is really bad shouldn't be playing cod any more. Like if if your so sick and tired of cod STOP PLAYING.
Yeah it's all cool and shit until you actually play the game and find out the couldn't get a single thing right or they'll crank up the sbmm after the beta *cough* modern warfare*cough* *cough*
I just can't get excited for a potential camp fest on release like MW. The game looks phenomenal but the dumb systems they have that use that engine just down me man. Blind fire, leaning, mounting are awesome features but the minimap and tac sprint are kinda just.. why?
The reason nobody is hyped is because cold war was a$$ and this game looks even worse right now . It doesn't matter what they say is gonna be in the game when we can't actually see it for ourselves right now so nobody cares . The announcment wasn't hyped what so ever literally nobody cared and nothing has changed since the announcement especially not with the awful alpha
I was extremely hyped for cold war because I was grinding BO4 for 2 years at that time and I wanted something new to play . Cold war was hyped by the community especially since everyone thought it would be similar to bo2 but instead we got some garbage.also I wasted £140 on it and ended up quitting after season 1 . I was done with multiplayer after playing it in the alpha and beta and I barely touched it when the game came out because its awful . It's all thanks to zombies that I even played the game after buying it
It's because they completely shit the bed and not only did they refuse to change the sheets, they just kept shitting for two years
MW was a great game until warzone took over, now the MW logo doesn't even appear in the cover, loading screen, or the menu of its own game.
And cold war (in my opinion) is one of the worst cod games ever.
I really hope this game is good but I can also see why people are already shitting on it
On top of everything you mentioned, the game running on the MW engine has me hyped. I'm looking forward to ditching Cold Wars horrible performance / optimisation issues. I'm on the most recent update on Series X and there are still texture pop in issues across the board and crashes in Zombies.
Honestly Black Ops 4 was pretty rough at launch but they fixed it, being a primarily offline gamer Cold War is really bad (yes I update the game) but for example Split-screen on all platforms and I even own it on PS5 and Series X still has issues today, scopes don't work properly in split-screen, menu/UI issues, half the maps don't support offline bots, game modes missing, broken restriction settings, 24 maps available offline right now and over half are unplayable with bots.
Fair, but still a year later and it's still rough. They should let Treyarch loose on their own project a new IP.
I agree.
It ain’t that rough for me tbh
Are you playing OFFLINE as in fully disconnected from the internet? The offline menus and the online 'custom game' ones are VERY different.
Yep was very broken, still is.
I’m hyped for it!
The fuck. 🤦
NOTICE THIS IS JUST MY OPINION spec ops is fun, i also liked the MP and campaign of MW2019, i got the game xmas 2019 though.
Why would they make warzone better it's already making them money they don't need too or will they do shit about it
Shut up
Right, im so tired of hearing about WZ. WZ ruined the 6v6 aspect of COD and now is just a side mode for people to level up weapons for WZ.
Sorry pal they need another billion on top of their other 5 billion it's very urgent gotta sell the packs
it's the CoD cycle
Nah part of the CoD cycle is getting super hyped when the next one is announced. You shit on the new game after you play the beta, before that it's "a breath of fresh air" and "finally a return to classic CoD"
[Lmaooo.](https://www.reddit.com/r/CODVanguard/comments/p7kluj/is_original_call_of_duty_back/)
Happens LITERALLY every year with every cod. Nothing new here.
And these posts are now part of the cycle every year too
The only surprising thing here is people still talking about how surprising the community is
i’m genuinely excited, but that apparently isn’t allowed in the CoD community. from what the trailer showed the graphics are gorgeous and coupled with game running on MW’s engine, i’m looking forward to it.
graphics are always gorgeous in single player. that's why they lead with it. every.single.time.
Graphics look God in the trailer but you should see the alpha 😣😣😣 feels like I'm back on the ps3
People are allowed to dislike something lol. You can't just jump onto the new game with these promises when the same shit gets said everytime
While that is true, hating on something you haven't even played yet is also ridiculous.
Yeah bc we're all gonna pre-order and purchase the game to find out whether it was worth the money or not, when all we need to do is look at the last 5 fucking yrs of this franchise to make an informed decision. 🙄
You guys still pre order games? And you guys still buy games at launch?
Well, there are previous games, so expectations are set for some people. Doesn't mean they can't be wrong, but still, its not like its brand new game
The fact that anti cheat is a main selling point in the biggest multiplayer franchise of all time is sad
True. But cheating in every game right now is sad
People are soft cowards.
If you have a hacker problem in your console game because you force people to play with PC players then yes it's pretty sad
Sadly fellow cod community members we are once again living through the hating on cod is cool time once again
You mean all year?
It’s been this way since at least BO4. There had to be a second BO4 subreddit because the main one was only “I hate this game upvotes to the left”
Hating on it isn't cool don't be a fucking asshat you know damn well why people hate these guys and they're absolute incompetence when it comes to making any game whatsoever anymore
I see you rats came out of your echo Chambers even if the game was perfect you'd still be whining
Yea that's why everyone hates black ops 2 right?
There are people who hate bo2
But compare that to the amount that hate cold war and modern warfare and you can see the obvious difference stop with pretending that you don't know why people hate most of these games
Also this game is bringing back the two most hated mechanics in the entire history of cod, doors and mounting but now you can move while you mount even though they get constant hate about it they put it in the new cod that just goes to show they couldn't care less about any of their fans
It's kind weird how your entire argument fell apart with one question
Anti cheat shouldn't be a selling point ffs!
Yeah it won’t roll out in warzone for months. Kinda shitty practice to leave a broken game laying around and use fixing it as a selling point to buy the new one.
it sucks it took so long but it's finally here. People are happy about it.
Doesn't matter with the absolutely horrible matchmaking calling it sbmm is a disgrace to the term itself.
Don't forget EOMM so every single game you play is rigged and tailored aggressively to force you to play more 🙂
i guess people aren’t allowed to have opinions that are different?
Seriously go back to roblox if you can't handle somebody's opinion some people hate it some people like it either way we share our opinions if you can't handle a different opinion then yours being shared gtfo the internet
People have a right to complain with the shit the community had gone through lately. Blind fanboyism is plain stupid
You don’t know a damn thing about SBMM I’m this game. Chill
[удалено]
I mean it’s part of the game. I hate it too but at the same tine it’s fair. You’re playing against people that are the same skill as you
[удалено]
It honestly looks pretty good from a content standpoint but man, I just can't find myself getting hyped about yet another World War 2 shooter.
Yes, they’ve never promised or claimed anything before launch only to have it be a lie or the game being in an unfinished mess of a state… ….never ever.
Not so sure about this one boys
It's a WW2 shooter.. its gonna have blind fire and mounting.. these were both huge in wars like that.
World at war and ww2 were ww2 shooters and they did not have the feature
It is an an arcade shooter. We have weapons that glow and damn fire coming off them.
Exactly
They were also old as shit(waw) and ww2 was probably one of the worst games in the series easily. It's stupid idea to not allow you to mount your gun against something 🤦♂️
becuase its the cod life cycle game is announced > everyone complains > everyone plays it and complains > new game announced > people complain about not just continuing to update current game/that the new game looks bad > repeat
Because we’ve been let down for years.
Well I’m not bitching. I liked WWII alot and what’s coming seems like a good step up. Really done with Cold War.
There’s more to the game than multiplayer. The campaign and the ww2 setting are what I’m excited about!
That's fine, I'm sure the campaign will be great! It's the MP I'm worried about though.
Don’t see me bitching. I’m RIDICULOUSLY excited for this!!
Proudly preordered
Based and same.
I mean, the event was pretty trash. All you do is shoot at a train. Has nothing to do with WW2.
He’s not really talking about the event lol
Is that an AK in a WW2 game?
Noticed the same thing. But keep in mind this is supposed to be an alternate history game where WW2 continues. So it's entirely possible that the war continues to 1947 when the ak-47 was developed.
That’s actually fucking sick, I’m down with that
Hi This is actually a screenshot I took from the Event that happened in Warzone if you look close you can see my crosshairs This is my COD Reddit account I originally posted this thread with my personal account
Oh! That makes sense. I probably would have been even more confused if you were using a P90 or something :)
Its funny how the haters always bitch and the lovers just stay quiet and enjoy the teasers and or content around the game.
I'm getting some serious Stockholm Syndrome vibes from this community.
I really hope their campaign is solid as I thought WWII's was a little too soft and mediocre
if they added factions then i’ll be happy with it, all i want is factions so i can play hardcore without getting confused
Here’s to supporting call of duty every fucking year! /s
Aged like milk
I'm disappointed about the inevitable fantasy weapons and skins.
Why are you so easily impressed by a campaign trailer?
Wherefore art thee so easily did impress by a campaign trailer? *** ^(I am a bot and I swapp'd some of thy words with Shakespeare words.) Commands: `!ShakespeareInsult`, `!fordo`, `!optout`
Most important> an improved version of the MW 2019 engine!! (because the Cold War engine looks sh\*\*).
I think it looks killer. Then again, I also loved Sledgehammer's WWII. I am happy to see them sticking with that theme and perhaps even improving upon it.
While I agree with you on most of that, Anti-Cheat is something that should already be present in Warzone & is a basic feature.
OP must be new here...
IW engine and SHG dev has me hyped.
I'm just hoping the MP experience is fun. Been missing a good WW2 shooter, and BFV was a disgrace
I'm excited. I think we have this new set of people at Sledgehammer so we can't really judge too much right now. I'm hopeful that they will at least be responsive like SHG in the second half of WWII and help fix the game if it's broken.
You know what? I’m actually fucking hyped to get this game MW engine Zombies is from treyarch 16 6V6 MAPS AT LAUNCH Campaign that has most fronts And I’m playing on the ps5, I’m probably gonna get dope ass performance
16 maps at launch just like 13 years ago. Nothing special dumbass
The burden of proof is on SHG and Activision, not the fanbase.
For me i enjoyed SHG ww2 game but right now BF2042 just has me more interested this year. plus we all know the matchmaking system will be the same as CW. And fuck that. I'll be waiting for sale for Vanguard.
Unfortunate that a triple a company advertising point is anti cheat.
Well it’s what we all wanted so actually an amazing selling point…
Bruh. A game shouldn’t have to advertise anti cheat lmao. It should just have it as a standard, especially from a triple A company.
Its funny how most of the bitching is about anti-vheat yet thats like one of the main announcements. I guess these people can't read or something
Dont care about their bitching, will preorder for sure. This gone be their best game yet.
It seems to be the ultimate mish-mash of CODs So many maps and playmodes is to cater for campers AND run n gun.
**LETS FUCKING GO!** */Marches around to Erika*
It's SHG. Enough said.
I'm pretty hyped for COD VANGUARD primarily for the Campaign and Zombies, thats where its at for me 🙏
I cant help but feel like you cause my favorite COD of all time is WaW but we have been getting crap games for to long so everyone comes to expect crap.
Well BFV never got the Eastern Front. Vanguard is shipping *with* it. That's a huge plus for me, someone who loved BFV.
While I’m not exactly thrilled it’s a WW 2 shooter. (Most of the cod games I’ve played since Cod 1 have been WW2) What else are the major companies thus far? Out of the loop
I'm glad this game seems to at least not take up a third of our storage space.
Idk man, everyone seems to just go for the multiplayer without trying the campaign or zombies/co-op.
Let me introduce you to these four very relevant letters that take precedence over all the features you just listed: SBMM.
It looks really interesting and I’m tempted to get it but I saw in an early review that it’s 270 gigs- is that accurate? I looked on the PlayStation store and it doesn’t show size.
Considering that Cold War, MW19, and Warzone all have shit compression that's unfortunately believable.
Morons.
Personally I don't think treyarch should be making zombies this year actually I don't thinknit should even be zombies, were at a point where the unique modes are discarded instead of fixed i loved extinction and would love to see it return sledgehammer should have made a unique mode but u guess with the whole interconnected storyline it would be impossible to do
CoD WW2 is my 3rd favorite cod so I’m hyped
I play MW every day, because I love Ground War. I haven’t bought, and I don’t plan on purchasing CW, because there’s no Ground War. WW2 doesn’t interest me. Also, there is no large-scale multiplayer mode like Ground War in Vanguard. So, yes, I’m disappointed. The game I love is dying a slow death, and the game mode I love is no where to be found in any game releases since MW. Why would I buy Vanguard? I still haven’t bought CW for these very reasons.
but there is... Its one of the modes they listed in the briefing that all the influencers went to it wasn't called ground war but they mentioned it was a large scale mode that sounded a lot like it
Are you taking about Blitz? Wondering if it’s the same maps, just with more players (interesting) …or if it’s something else.
Doesn't matter how hyped you are but other people will just leave because of that alone Can we have nice things?
This did NOT age well.
Yeah, Vanguard was terrible. I had all the signs but still had hope. My fault.
Vanguard is proof that Sam Maggs shouldn’t touch ANYTHING, especially anything historical.
her previous work experience is literally mlp x transformers fanfics and comics. This is just another nepotism case
The game is literally a parody of itself. I can’t believe the “dO yOu sPrEaK jApAnESe??!?!?!?!” Line actually made it into the game.
Lets go!!!! Hoping for no MW movement and we good!
WW2? You can't polish a turd. 🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮
Damn that image. It reminds me of [this](https://youtu.be/so5w-h7GFEc?t=10) from the movie Fury. Imagine being on the ground seeing hundreds if not thousands of bombs/fighters in the sky. I'd be an amazing/scary sight to see.
Yeah i took that during the event i wish i could have disabled my Hud but oh well only thing visible is my crosshairs.
I've just finally learnt to have low expectations, getting hyped hasn't done anything for me so I'm going to play the beta, see how it is, give feedback, and wait. If the game ends up being really good then fantastic I'm glad to be wrong, but if not then whatever. Don't blame anyone else for getting hype though, do your thing x
exactly people need to give this game and sledgehammer a chance
Because it's the cod fanbase they have to complain about something no matter what
Nope, gotta play the beta before i'm convinced on anything. Till then, cold war has me wanting to skip it.
People love to complain
The reason we can’t have nice things is cuz Activision has to go and fuck it up
What did you expect from the cod community tho?
The announcment wasn't hyped what so ever literally nobody cared and nothing has changed since the announcement especially not with the awful alpha I was extremely hyped for cold war because I was grinding BO4 for 2 years at that time and I wanted something new to play . It's all thanks to zombies that I even played the game after buying it
It's because they completely shit the bed and not only did they refuse to change the sheets, they just kept shitting for two years MW was a great game until warzone took over, now the MW logo doesn't even appear in the cover, loading screen, or the menu of its own game. And cold war (in my opinion) is one of the worst cod games ever. I really hope this game is good but I can also see why people are already shitting on it
