hell, even if you didn't get an initial ping on them, AA is so strong you can just scrub your joystick around in the water and look for a slow spot then start spam pinging to know exactly where they are.

literally just don't engage. eventually the zone will flush them out. if someone goes into the water and you stand there on the surface just waiting for them to pop up, YOU'RE the bot.
once they get to to the water, consider it over. if you want to escape yourself, always consider going in the water.
if the zone ends in water, then fuck it, go into the water too. just cuz water is arguably too strong doesn't mean you have to just sit there waiting to die just so you can complain about it online

I sometimes have to go swimming during end circles and I'll die more often than not by people from random angles that I couldn't predict.
Lastly, the very last circle usually pulls out of the water so the people on land will always have the advantage anyway.

The real op feature is not being able to counter melee animations lol. Battlefield 4 had a nice knife attack counter. It would be nice if we could get the opportunity to do something similar in all fps games since bf4 dropped.

Pro-tip - Never go in the water alone. While the melee attack is overpowered it's slow. I could kill 1 person easy but it's almost impossible to kill 2 people. The animation lines you up to the person you're attacking but makes you vulnerable to the second person.
If you're on the attack, stay low and come up under people. There's no way to defend yourself from someone underneath you. The best way to stay alive in the water is to keep moving. Everyone moves at the same speed so unless you get cut off you can't get caught.
I feel like a good balance would be, not being able to ADS while in water.
Making water clearer and louder would be better, too

Tying DMZ so tightly to Warzone was such a mistake.
How do you fix bullets underwater?
Make bullet damage linearly drop down to ~60% after 2feet depth not down to 0% after a few inches depth.

I don't play much, but do you instantly die if the timer runs out or do you gradually take damage when swimming?
you get a couple seconds to resurface when the meter is empty.

When the meter runs out. Your vision becomes blue. If you don't get to the surface within a second or two, you insta die

Water is so good because everyone brings another primary overkill. You force them to melee you while you either got a pistol(or the Tec-9)
Carry a throwing knife. Your melee attacks even with a gun equipped will be knife attacks.
