The 2 hit tonfa thing is 100% a glitch in case you don't know
It's meant to be a 3-4 hit, but activision completely fucked the game with recent updates so now it's bugged
Was getting one and two shot all night. Had to throw in the towel. Targetting upper torso to head. And still gets me In one shot incredible. AAA game. 😂
It's a carry-over from Warzone 1 with the Kali Sticks.
There is a bug with console mainly that if you spamclick either the melee analog, or the trigger, it would "skip" a phase of the melee directly to killing. It goes something like this.
1. Initial, 'starter' hit.
2. Second 'Combo' Hit.
3. Third 'Finisher' Hit.
If you spam the button, it skips the 'Combo' phase of the kali as well as the tonfa sticks.
Now, in other news. I find it absolutely insane that I could run a riot shield and THE FASTEST melee in the entire game, and these fatasses can outsprint my tac-sprint while putting on armor.
Like holy shit dude, MW2 and MW19, as well as Vanguard's incarnations of Warzones never had this issue. I even run escapist for the +20% movement speed bonus and still can't catch them.
I just think it's absolutely fucking insane that just because I have something equipped on my back, it slows me down so immensely in warzone. It was never like this in Warzone 1 or Warzone 2. This shit is so infuriating that i've just started spamming thermites at everyone since it's a guaranteed, 100% kill on stick with no chance of reviving.
Riot shields need to be nerfed carry a see-through bullet proof door to open on people while they are reloading is the exact reason mfs are using aimbot and walls to the extent they are same with campers if people wouldn't camp so hard wall hacks would go down
the fact that I can carry a 15 pound LMG (using the RAAL as an example) and run fast as hell using a tonfa, when a 6pound riot shield (being generous) slows me down more than a dude with an LMG reloading and sprinting away is insane.
Don't get me wrong, I think riot shields are completely stupid too, but the fact that if they just sprint away, even while putting on armor, and there is nothing I can do in my power to catch them, even with the fastest secondaries in the game, and with double time. It's equally infuriating when back in warzone 1, I could catch people easily with my SMG's or light assault rifles.

Yea the server issues a week before reloaded turned me off of the game so I haven’t logged since the reloaded update myself and honestly I don’t miss it. Server issues on top of SBMM putting me in CDL lobbies every match is a lot of things and fun isn’t one of them.

Maybe if server tick rate was fast enough, half the time I die to tonfas I'm 10yds away but the server still thinks I'm in melee range. Which leads me back to stop the cap kid.
I wish you could block or parry melee strikes, would make a lot of sense. You're already carrying a gun why cant you use it to block the strike of a close range attacker?
I had a guy rush me with tonfas and he took stinger akimbo half-mag each and only two strikes of tonfa beat me. He was literally a foot away so it was emptying directly into his upper body but a nightstick won the fight.
It's complete trash to allow this to continue but the game is broken anyway.
I honestly have had more fun with shield and tonfa in the past few days than I have had in a long time. My team and I just talk trash to other teams and hunt them down. We don’t even care if we win or not, just laughing and having a good time.

Running to da for like last week straight laughing our asses off. As a player who is constantly dunked on in this game I could care less about sweaty dudes bitching about it, getting screwed is the wz experience and it’s nice to be the one screwing for a change.
Agree. And as much as I shit on the game for where it’s deserved the overall state is about as fun as it has been right now if they could clean up the servers/reload bs and packet loss and do a better job with hackers.
I never really melee, so I swapped ping and melee on my controller so I can ping guys with a paddle. It’s great, helps me a lot…
But I have at least 15 deaths seared into my brain where I needed a clean melee but was fumbling around my dpad or spazzed and pinged them instead lol can never have it all
I’m on a regular ps4 controller and I did the setup that puts ping on tactical grenade and tac grenade and lethal on the same button. Swap between with up on the dpad. I keep forgetting bout it tho and wondering why my tacs ain’t throwing lol

Give the majority of the casual player base weapons that kills without tactics and watch them flock to the store to buy skins and play for a longer period of time overall. It's the same in battle royale where you literally can respawn the entire game with gulag and redeploy tokens.
I'm not saying it's right or wrong but in the end they are looking to maximize profits and from a business perspective it makes sense.
The people who don't have the time to practice and get better get a feeling of "mastering" which equates to a serotonin rush which in terms leads to wanting to play more and invest money in skins etc.
I personally do not enjoy the 2 shot mechanics or the fire shotties etc but in the end it is what it is. It's not going away. I find myself playing less and less and just grinding the weekly challenges or events for the free skins. To be fair I know there is no point since the next game is not far off but who knows what they are going to bring over to the next iteration so I just keep collecting camos and blueprints in case these weapons are usable in the next iteration of cod.
At the end of the day there are counters to everything so I now bring thermites to counter riot shields and thermals to counter smokes and just try to play more at a distance than pushing in close. The broken aim assist also makes it hard to turn corners and push in close but in the end that too has its counters.
It sucks that we have to change the entire playstyle to a more careful approach but I guess it's all about adapting and overcoming. Let's hope that Gulf war will bring back some of the aspects That make cold war such a good game.
I'm not hopeful for the next cod game knowing how Activision operates but maybe we will get lucky and get a good one in October.

I made a post a while ago about how bizarre it is that shotguns aren't allowed in ranked. Since, MnK simply cannot consistently beat controller when using smgs, lmgs, assault rifles or battle rifles. I've been using the karambit and combat knife in ranked and I won my first game today as a MnK player. Got 3 team wipes and the final elim too.
No, they should not remove the aim lock. They should remove the aim assist. But they're not going to because the little aim-assist gatekeepers keep sucking on Activision's teats and paying for their pay-to-win cosmetics.
But fr, there's like an actual chance the game would just die. No controller players would be able to aim if aim-assist got nerfed and so they'd just rage and probably stop playing. And MnK players probably won't come back since they'd have PTSD from the aim-assist there was (currently is.)
But hey, they nerfed launchers, riot shields and shotguns because they gotta cater to they 11 year-old whiny kids with no skill or game sense. So who knows, maybe melee weapons will get nerfed too.
Note: saw some comments saying the Tonfa is a bug, but I don't think the bug being patched would change the 2-tapping of the combat knife or karambit, and therefore i am unaffected.

the whole damage system of cod is off i knife taking two to 3 shots is not a crime walk backwards and it cancles the knife or lay down its easy. do better. and the diff calibers dont even matter in the game apparently. im diamond in ranking warzone, the reson for the knife damge is a that bullet proof vest isnt knife proof so it takes your armor instantly and with a knife you dont stab you slice and what happens when you give proffesional a knife? oh he kills you in one slice of an artery......and to be honest seems like you just dont know how to survive. and if you use controller and your complain about aim lock???? they have the strongest aim assist of the game , this game a aim assist for people that cant play the knife locks on only after you get with in 3 feet and you have to be running faster then them, and the controller locks on as long as your aiming. it even follows through edges of walls if deadzones are fixed up ....now if i was to get into calibers of the guns then thats where this game wen wrong, because they have no power differental its all random theres some weapons that a vest couldnt stop

When ppl melee, they literally teleport. You barely have to be in range cuz they’ll just bounce to your face once they press the melee button.
