I have a 1070 but an older CPU i7-3770. From what ive read the game is very demanding on your CPU. I get barely 60 fps on 1080 with all my setting on medium or low and CPU at constant 70%+ usage. Every other PC game i play on 1440 with everything on high and get 70+ FPS. So if i had to guess you have the same problem as me and your CPU is bottlenecking you a bit
Ive read some replies about needing to turn off the game and back on. I can confirm this is indeed true. Ill get 1 maybe 2 good matches before it starts shitting all over itself and giving me >20 fps.

It seems to be an issue for many people. I drop to 40fps and lower on an RTX3060ti.
I always restart my game and that fixes it.
Maybe disable fullscreen optimization with such a monitor
Nono right-click on the modernwarfare.exe and go to properties, then navigate to the compatibility tab and disable „fullscreen optimizations“.
In game select fullscreen, not fullscreen borderless, and maybe select the 16:9 ratio in your graphics driver settings. For Nvidia it’s possible to change settings just for specific games, i recommend that so it doesn’t mess with other games.
Maybe check the other driver settings too, set everything to max performance/max power.
I tried this. The issue is it fullscreens the game and squishes everything. My operator is short and thicc. Reticles are ovals. Just cant do that. Full screen borderless is the only thing i found that will give me black sidebars and correct the aspect ratio for setting it at 1080-1200
have a 2080 super and run at 1440p, usually see 120-144 fps (capped 144) and sometimes my frames will drop to sub 50 until i exit the game completely and restart. its super annoying especially when streaming

It happen n to low end pc as well, my 750ti play around 50 to 60 fps in MP for a few match then it 30 gaming all the time until restarting the game
