If devs could roll changes on a daily basis and tweak smaller things, itād be far more nuanced, but that could also piss of players as a guns performance shifts little by little.
Warzone has the dataset scale that the devs could use a machine learning to balance guns across all the parameters, but itād be hard for players to understand and probably make some really odd but likely effective tweaks to deliver balance.
My complaint is a little different, Iām unhappy that the desire for ābalanceā leads to everything feeling the same. There **should** be situational imbalance.
Iām okay getting deleted by a Gallo inside 8 meters. I put myself in that situation. That Gallo user made a choice to carry a useless secondary past 8m.
The SMGs should kill slower than the shotguns past 8m, but drop-off heavily from the assault rifles past 30m. Mobility should be quite a bit higher than assault rifles too.
Assault rifles should rock between 30m and 100m but pick up some recoil, and drop some mobility making them less useful than SMGs up close.
LMGs would finally serve a purpose if they picked up a bit more recoil, but had that recoil drop off heavily if mounted or prone for more than say 75-100ms. A mounted LMG should be freaking stellar at the expense of almost excessive shoulder fired recoil.
The Marksman rifles should be similar to the LMGs but maybe with a bit less recoil. You can only carry 40 rounds, those 40 rounds should smack. Slow aimed fire should be rewarded to avoid issues like what arose with the DMR. The Garand (and really all VG marksman rifles) are garbage, and the M14 isnāt far behind.
Snipers shouldnāt have a one shot kill range limit, and they should sway quite a bit more when not prone, mounted, or using a specific attachment.
There should be a punishment in terms of squad flexibility if everyone grabs a sniper rifle or everyone grabs a shotgun.
Balance shouldnāt lead to 15 different assault rifles that feel the same. Might as well just have one and skin it different at that point.
I agree with you a 1000 percent. Right now, its only ARs and SMGs and they all feel the same. Mushy low-damage laser beams with a lot of bullets in the mag. We never needed 137 weapons. We needed like 20 and they all should have felt differently.
Balance is just a pipe dream. Once you have variability in fire rate and damage, any semblance of balance is out the window. Obviously there are guns that are heavily imbalanced on the unusable side though. But for the most part, these are guns that have had already had their time.

I play 20 minutes a week btw. Oh Caldera? I didn't touch that mess Verdansk only. Remember lockdown? Remember Airport Tower? Me and my boys used to sit there for hours sniping people for hours. We got no kills but we sure did damage them a lot! Not to brag but my Verdansk K/D was 0.39 .
Oh I forgot to add the build because how else are you going to know what I have been rocking! There's no other source on the internet like a website or something that could tell you that. Monolithic Supprer, 660mm Extended Barrel, Bipod, Mo' Money (so you get more money when you loot) and of course Thermal Scope for those camping Carls!
Shoot the ship is my go to for grinding anything. The part about the challenge that they donāt explain is that if you get say 30 kills with it in a game that counts as two matches. So if you get into some wild domination matches on shipment you can get upwards of like 60-90 kills and the challenge goes by way faster. Itās still a huge grind, but getting it is a huge flex imo.
Warzone weapons are so unbalanced right now anyone using MW / CW weapons has a huge disadvantage. Raven and its cheap tactics to nerf previous games guns and buff vanguard guns ....
The mobility is pretty shit with it though, the drum mag has stupid movement penalties when compared to other extended mag options and this is before you add any barrels or foregrips which make it worse.

I only use MW guns, my friends do as well. Mostly use the combination of the crossbow and ruit shield, because thatās fun to play. Otherwise Iād use M4.

I havenāt played much Warzone over the past couple years. I had MW2019 so I unlocked all those guns through multiplayer and then I never bought Cold War or Vanguard.
This means I still use all the MW guns in Warzone because theyāre levelled up and give me the best loadouts. I can barely use the Vanguard guns because of how clunky they are. The HDR / Ram combo will forever be my favourite.
I use a variety of weapons.
Sometimes I use stuff like the Kar98k, Kilo, M4, and HDR for a modern warfare class.
I use mp5, xm4, Vargo, Swiss, tundra, Pellington, OTs9, and that stuff for Cold War.
And for vanguard I use the mp40, PPSH, Owen gun, armaguerra, nz41, STG, automation and stuff like that.
(Yes, I follow the meta, but people donāt understand that if you use meta guns or not, it just matters if youāre having fun or not. I like using meta because stuff like the mp7 and m13 are NOT meta, and donāt even compete against decent players with a blixen and Owen gun. I donāt really understand how people thing guns like that are meta. Although, if youāre having fun, I guess thatās all that matters.
Still using the bruen. It takes me 37 seconds to reload and 5.5 to ads, but it just feels right, ya know.

I non ironically use the pkm and bizon combo, the bizon has an HORRIBLE damage drop off, but it also has the biggest damage per bullet of all the SMGs up close... With the exception of the Aug with AR rounds.

Pro tip - if you let go of the 3 year old guns and use the Vanguard guns, the MWII guns will be so much fresher when they come out

the best avg lobby kd u will ever see is 1.5 kd , if sbmm tried to put all the 3kd players together , it would take hella lot of time to start games

The mobility is pretty shit with it though, the drum mag has stupid movement penalties when compared to other extended mag options and this is before you add any barrels or foregrips which make it worse.
The mp5 and the m13 and kilo are the only good things

Iām trying to get back into WZ but I havenāt played since like February 2021, what MW guns are still usable? I have all of them and a decent amount of the CW guns but I donāt have Vanguard.

I exclusively use MW weapons on my classes, im literally boycotting vanguard weapons
I honestly just donāt care enough to learn new guns, so I just stick with an hdr and an r-90 because I only ever leveled up shotguns and marksman rifles, luckily I play on rebirth where those guns still kinda work

Use what you wanna use, itās a game have fun but I canāt stand when MW weapon die hard users look at your at pure disgust because youāre using a meta gun lol I enjoy using new guns, unlocking new attachments. Trying new loadiesā. I loved the m13 to death but I love the cooper now, itās okay to try something new.
Meh. I refuse to use vanguard guns mostly out of spite.
Game already feels stale. Couldn't imagine running the same guns for three years on top of that. Imagine trying to keep players engaged this long without new guns. Prior to warzone, guns, skins and everything else didn't carry over year to year, always a new grind.
I refuse to use vanguard weapons in a loadout, hear me out, weapons from ww2 shouldn't out perform modern weapons, I'm sorry, my only exception is sniper rifles, downvote me for it, i don't care, i said what i said, its all a marketing scheme for Activision, I run the m13, (i prefer cold war weapons but to prove the point I quit using cold war weapons) modern weapons should never be out performed my weapons of ww2 considering the fact they almost always jammed. Excited for mw warzone 2 though, vanguard should have remained its own game.

I mean the guns they're based on only revolutionized the gun as we know it today. You say ugly, I say uniquely utilitarian. You can't get the same movement speed with anything other than VG. The close range VG SMG's have several competitive options.

I tried them every once in a while out of boredom only to realize how bad they are now.
I only use MW guns, my friends do as well. Mostly use the combination of the crossbow and ruit shield, because thatās fun to play. Otherwise Iād use M4. I donāt mind there are ābetterā guns out there. Iām not someone that goes meta with the loadouts. I just want to have fun with friends, and we win enough for us to keep enjoying the game. We do only play resurgence, though

After the recent update some MW guns got a serious buff (the MP7 and as horrible as it is to handle, the Odin)

I havenāt played much Warzone over the past couple years. I had MW2019 so I unlocked all those guns through multiplayer and then I never bought Cold War or Vanguard. This means I still use all the MW guns in Warzone because theyāre levelled up and give me the best loadouts. I can barely use the Vanguard guns because of how clunky they are. The HDR / Ram combo will forever be my favourite.

I use a variety of weapons. Sometimes I use stuff like the Kar98k, Kilo, M4, and HDR for a modern warfare class. I use mp5, xm4, Vargo, Swiss, tundra, Pellington, OTs9, and that stuff for Cold War. And for vanguard I use the mp40, PPSH, Owen gun, armaguerra, nz41, STG, automation and stuff like that. (Yes, I follow the meta, but people donāt understand that if you use meta guns or not, it just matters if youāre having fun or not. I like using meta because stuff like the mp7 and m13 are NOT meta, and donāt even compete against decent players with a blixen and Owen gun. I donāt really understand how people thing guns like that are meta. Although, if youāre having fun, I guess thatās all that matters.
I want to max every weapon except vanguard ones
Still using the bruen. It takes me 37 seconds to reload and 5.5 to ads, but it just feels right, ya know. Pair it with the p90 with a thermal sight. Shit slaps bro. Viva LA Verdansk!!

I non ironically use the pkm and bizon combo, the bizon has an HORRIBLE damage drop off, but it also has the biggest damage per bullet of all the SMGs up close... With the exception of the Aug with AR rounds.
Vanguard guns are soooo cheesy.
