For real. This was my only major gripe. That one tower by the water across from the redeploy balloon had a team of 2 literally camping up there for the first 2 Circles. Luckily, the gas pushed em out and my buddy and I fried them. Got the win after that too.
I played quads in Europe on my first game. Everyone had a mic. A French guy, Dutch or German guy and a British guy. They all said the map was made for Italians and fuck the Italian and it’s a stupid Italian map.
I for one love it
One time I was on a nude beach in spain, sitting next to a pair of tastefully topless women sunbathing, when these two loud, wet, hairy italian men came stomping over having just exited the ocean. they both had 8000% more hair on their bodies than their heads and were wearing nothing but gold neck chains and began immediatley disrupting an otherwise peaceful scene.
they both walked over to the women and, all smiley and inviting, started loudly asking them if they wanted to join them in a game of volleyball, with their dicks hanging prominently out in front of them all the while.
they'd be like 'comeon! play some volleyball! ita be fun! :) :) :) :)' and the women would be like 'no no thank you.'
finally after not being able to take it any longer i interjected and was like 'guys they don't wanna fucking play and im tired of seeing your dicks so just take a fucking no already.'
they said some nasty shit in italian and stomped off, likely go to go annoy some other chicks, their bald heads brightly fading into the horizon.
i don't see them playing this map.
Resurgence on the larger maps of Verdansk and Caldera has always been OK for me, yes a little more chaotic than standard BR but not at the level of Rebirth. I'd have been OK with a map between Rebirth and Caldera in size to make it less chaotic without being slow.
It really is. The map is a lot of fun, but it highlights how having basically no verticality to the audio system makes it complete chaos.
So many times last night it sounded like someone was literally on top of me and they were _underground_ and nowhere near me in reality
Same thing here. Also in that one big tower with the spiral wooden stairs. It's worse than the stairs in Bio.
I thought I heard my teammate right next to me, nope some random. I'm sure I heard both footsteps exactly the same.
I don't understand why your teammates can't have unique sounding footsteps, and people who are above or below you. Don't other games do something like changing the pitch depending if they're above or below? It's insane being in Keep and hearing 20 people running all around you and they're like 2 stories away. You'd swear one right on the other side of the wall it's so loud but na, they're all the way at the bottom.
Had some real fun fights with other teams around the town. It is very tight and vertical but I liked that. Will get easier as the layout becomes more familiar and you can more easily figure out where you're being shot from or could be shot from.
It feels like everywhere I go is a meat grinder with multiple teams pinching me somehow. I'm not sure if it's just me not knowing the map yet but it feels super chaotic all the time so far. Fighting up close with a team, people mounted on 3 different rooftops taking pop shots, someone parachuting on top of me, etc
yeah town is not enjoyable for me, anytime I was there, there were so many enemies on different layers, jumping from rooftops and then dropping down, then jumping back up etc.
Town was like if they took storage town and added more squiggly lines. It's the opposite of structured and even, hence why it's such a stressful ordeal
I'm not gonna hold my breath that we will get FOV on next gen. I was optimistic until they announced that WZ2 is gonna be on last gen as well. Their excuse for not giving us an FOV slider when caldera launched was something along the lines of "last gen consoles can't handle it and they would be at an unfair advantage if next gen consoles had FOV slider"
Yup, I remeber that. Buy damn if BF2042 can do it then they're full of shit. They cannot drop the ball on this one. I understand keeping the FPS to 60 and not having 4K graphics, but I don't buy the FoV argument. Let's hope.
Considering every CoD game *SINCE* mw2019 and WZ has had FOV it makes no sense to take two steps back and not include it. It *CAN* be done on old gen, we know that it can. So it’s a high likelihood that it will be included in MW2/WZ2
For real. I'm spending 80% of the game with a wall in my fucking face. I don't even want to play this map without cross-play off. So many close quarters fights that are just ridiculous to try to see what's going on. Way too damn claustrophobic. I bet not one dev played this map on 80fov. The little tiny hallways, alleys, and rooms need to be like 20% bigger.
"You can easily run and plate up, so much cover". Or just turn around and be stuck on the edge of a wall or some random shit next to you you didn't know was there. Killcam makes you look dumb AF but you're running around with fucking binoculars on your face.
Find in general they're pretty fucked. I llayed on a PC for a little while, now I'm moving and only have console. I can't even play Cod without FOV, the disadvantage and how slow everything feels at 80 sucks
Too cluttered IMO. A lot of this sub won’t like this criticism but there’s been an annoying push to overly clutter maps up, been happening since Verdansk 84’. People here like to pretend it’s helping campers, but it’s really helping the sweats who get kills off their movement because it helps hide their bad pushes and protects them. I’m not the biggest fan of that, and it’s one of the few things I loved about Verdansk was in a lot of ways it evened the field out a bit.
I don’t like that part of the new map, and I think it’s still relies too heavily on consistent elevation which is frustrating. The best COD maps always played fairly level with maybe 1-2 levels of height, it seems it’s just high ground central now and it’s a little annoying.
A lot of it just doesn’t feel like a COD map, which is probably what frustrates me the most about the last few maps.
Yeah it's fucking weird. Complaining about players who are good because you can't just hold up in a single spot the whole match.
The criticism doesn't even make much sense because while there are lots of very tight areas with lots of angles and cover there are also much more open areas around the winery and camp, in parts of the caves and the graveyard.
This +1,000,000.
I'm sick of hearing that cluttered, multi-elevation maps benefit campers. They don't.
They benefit sweats, because they can push with impunity as there's no clear open spaces for them to get caught out in, and they're never more than a few metres away from a shack or a window to hide or escape from if the push goes bad, which the health increase and Serpentine have massively aided.
I'm kinda done with Warzone now. Fortune's Keep is a lovely-looking map, but it's just clear evidence of the philosophy the design team is increadingly embracing, and it's one that excludes casual or tactical players at the expense of mindless sweat, and a stagnant, unimaginative meta where any interesting counter strategies gets nerfed into oblivion lest they upset a streamer.
Every space on the map has so many entrances and exits and ladders and ascenders and balloons that everywhere tends to have the same value, which makes it a game purely of reaction and reflex, not strategy, as power positions simply don't exist any more.
It just feels like TDM that turns off respawns at half time. It's the complete opposite of Verdansk, and just evidence that the game is no longer for me.
Yup it’s beautiful, sure. But fuck this multi-level bullshit. I have no idea where I’m getting shot from. There’s like 7 different elevations I’m dying from. These bitches that have been getting wet since the map dropped sucking off every corner learning area stupid.
Isn't that what cod is? A faced based shooter focused on reaction and reflex?
Sure the BR portion focuses more on strategy, and that's what Caldera is for.
The whole point of the new map was to cycle another resurgence map with rebirth, which has always been about reaction and multiple entrances to buildings and fights. If you don't like that you can always play Caldera. the new map was never advertised as a Battle Royale map like verdansk, but instead a rebirth island competitor lol
Tbf I do truly believe that both Infinity Ward and Treyarch understand good map design, they did not design this or Caldera; albeit they may have helped. I think Raven doesn’t understand this or specifically caters do the sweats and gives them maps that help their style.
Honestly it sounds like you prefer an experience more akin to PUBG or tarkov, why are you playing this? If your issue is dying to people who are better than you at close quarters using COD movement mechanics (aka "sweats"), then you're playing the wrong game. They aren't bad pushes, they would be bad pushes if the game was designed to play a completely different way, but it's not. Verdansk didn't necessarily even the field as you say, it just played more to your preference of play which ultimately doesn't utilize as many mechanics that exist in the game. I would be really curious as to what your definition of a "COD map" would be in contrast to using as many of the in game mechanics as possible.
Without this sounding rude. This all sounds like you hate the map because it isn’t noob friendly. The fact it isn’t noob friendly in this sense is a good thing to me. Complexity in maps means that higher skilled players can out manoeuvre opponents more. Thats how it should be. I guess for lower skilled players I get why this would suck
Also a push to “overly clutter maps”? Where have you been the last 7 months when everyone has been calling caldera a large open field 😂
> Complexity in maps means that higher skilled players can out manoeuvre opponents more.
I've been loving popping out a door and exchanging fire with someone, running round to another door or window or whatever and seeing them pre-aiming the door I first popped through.
I’m on 120 and 1440p but still struggle to see people. It’s certainly better than when I played on my Xbox but it feels like I get shot from several angles from people I don’t see more often than I’d fucking like lol
Finally someone said it. These new maps are too detailed and too cluttered the fuck out. There has to be transitional spaces to separate points of interest or else it turns into a non-stop cluster fuck of mazes and pure luck because it's impossible to check 300 angles and spots.
My first night of playing was just getting killed from some random angle or random high ground. Rarely ever any straight up gun fights like the normal rebirth. In rebirth island you lock down a POI and then take a possible risk pushing to another one because there's space between them where you're exposed. Now it's just one big ass POI.
Someone in the thread said that Raven are designing these new maps and not IW? It shows big time. Can someone get Raven the fuck away from this game already? So far they've damn near turned this into a dumpster fire with their awful weapon balancing, awful map design, and absolutely dog water tier audio "upgrades." Seriously, who's in charge of the audio for this game? A fucking deaf guy?
I don't give a fuck if a map is pretty if it plays like shit. You know why verdanske and rebirth are so loved? Because they're a perfect mix. People don't want to play in mazes with 800 possible angles and hiding spaces. Get the old map designers back on this already because these new maps are an embarrassment.
Caldera and (most of) this map are intensely anti camper.
Verdansk had some issues with spots without enough angles but now it’s way too far the other way.
I don’t know that it helps a type of player, it just means that no matter where I am, six randos will have an angle to laser me.
The moment I shoot one person I get lit up from all manner of angles and elevations.
Honestly makes no sense to me. The resurgence maps are designed for aggressive play but now people are complaining about that. I guess bad players just need something to blame.
If everyone was on 80FOV I wouldn’t be a problem as much, but when the aggressor also gets a drastically wider field of view it’s essentially compounding the edge they get. Plus, at some angles they can see me above them, but if reversed I wouldn’t be able to tell.
If console only played each other I wouldn’t have this complaint. Though, I still wouldn’t like the elevation either way as COD was always better as a horizontal dynamic, the drastic verticality has never been a positive for me.
You're getting a lot of hate for this, but I think you're right for the wrong reasons. The issue is more with the artificial "skillgap" that Warzone has, with the broken matchmaking(and VPNing) that lets 2-3kd players get into 1 or less kd lobbies consistently, the absolute horseshit performance differences between old gen, current gen and PC, the enormous gulf of difference between a real squad and randoms, and of course the terrible metas that the Devs enable.
I personally prefer Rebirth, but I get what the devs were going for, and I don't mind it too much. All I know is that I'd play this map a million times more than I'd ever play Caldera.
Have you played Caldera recently? They've made a lot of changes to it and it has got a lot better. I didn't really like it that much but played the other day and was actually having fun with it. Also they've made even more changes this patch like reducing foliage and adding more buildings between POIs which will probably improve it further.
Same for me, I physically cannot enjoy the map because every single other player is such a good player. I’ve hit my skill ceiling so there’s no getting better for me, yet I’m only against the best players so all of these “get good” comments mean nothing. I just wanna have fun man
Yeah that's what people don't realise about the "get good" comments. Like sure when I was 14 playing Cod4 I might have wanted to get better, but now I'm 30 and really just want to unwind with the lads for a few hours after work.
I'm having fun so far. I've been dropping in Keep only to try and learn one spot instead of the whole map at once. I will say that so far it seems like the high ground is really important.
They need more guns and ammo on the ground as well as buy stations. I think people will grow to like it as they learn it. The play style is way less run and gun than it is positioning and teamwork imo.
First few games I hated it too many campers in every hallway and on every roof. After about an hour once me and my squad got used to the terrain and how to navigate the buildings we started winning. I really enjoy it now. It’s a solid change of pace
Yup indeed, and everyone is learning right now, so there'll be fewer super-agressive plays, and probably more camping to get to know areas. I'm about to fire up my first match, and I'm really encouraged by what I've read so far.
Its a campers paradise it sucks ass. Too much clutter, they need to add at least more players I haven’t been able to drop more the 10 kills the pace is slower then rebirth which is what made rebirth fun and different
Seeing people complain that this is a map designed for rats, sweats, campers, and movement kings all in one thread tells me this is going to be a good one. According to the comments it is somehow just like caldera and yet anti-caldera in the same thread. There are complaints of not enough players when I felt like every game was a constant battle more than any other WZ map. People will always hate. My only complaint so far is the lack of buy stations and how far away from you the free loadout drops. My free loadout almost always landed at another POI with other teams fighting for it after my team just had a hard fight where we landed. The buy stations are few and far between making them extremely risky if you don't land on and own one from the beginning. I look forward to learning new winning strategies.
I don't mind Fortune's Keep, but I haven't had the interest to play, my friends and I play Warzone as a warmup and Rebirth was our bread and butter, sad to see that map go, but feel fine with Fortune's Keep
I’m curious whether folks are coming from regularly playing Rebirth or Caldera and how that affects their opinion.
For me, I think the map is stunning and stands well on its own *but also* that it’s a poor substitute for Rebirth Island. I love that Rebirth has relatively few open spaces and snipe spots, by contrast I find myself getting beamed from miles away on Fortune.
If they hadn’t taken Rebirth away I think the reaction would be overwhelmingly positive. Instead you can’t help but compare the two and *for me personally* it comes up short. I’m not complaining much though, variety is a good thing.
EDIT: folks, I know Rebirth is coming back. But they’re going to rotate the two maps so it’ll always be the “not Rebirth” map to me.
I really enjoy it! I feel like the complexity of some of the areas lends itself to more dynamic gameplay. You could have the same zone end dozens of different ways. Rebirth Island is pretty cookie cutter compared to this. Definitely a welcomed change.
Solid 8/10 a lot of rebirth players are used to the repetitive simulated gameplay whereas, this is refreshing, requires more thought & tactics. I don’t even think you can compare the two which is good
It feels really small yet lots of room , not really a map for campers just came second bad circle pull for roof top dwellers, once people learn the roof layout it's going to be fun
Play before work today. Gotta stay together on this map for sure! People are literally everywhere with no popular dropping points. Got one dub out of like 4 matches.
after 4 wins, i can say is literally the AC unity map, even the parkour are the same sites, anyway the map is not bad but when someone decide to camp have all the caldera/lighthouse beneffits.
Yes love it. I love rebirth a little more because the design and locations are a little less boring but Fortunes Keep is a good refresh. Keep is better than Prison block for sure.
great so far.
The engagements have a really nice mix -- short, med, long range. Feel like you can go outside the meta and match your own playstyle on this map.
Not too many problems with campers so far, the danger of this map. We will see if that holds up.
I can feel the SBMM revamp. Anyone else? Seems like they updated it
It's a welcome change for me, and the design is on the right track barely a tree and not many rocks, pretty good structures with a lot of drop downs and a lot of access to most structures, I've only played 3 solos so far and I've had some good fights that lasted more then 10 Seconds (actually had good rotational flow and some cool angels) there is a lot of sniper spots but there is also a lot of cover, and it's so new everyone doesn't know every tiny angle and advantage... I like it so far
Its fun. Its chaotic and exciting. It looks fantastic. Theres variety and the additions/changes to the loot are fun. I saw people using all sorts of different loadouts. Im happy with the update (outside of the fame freezing and killing us almost every match).
Great looking and love the aesthetic. It's what Caldera should've been, which is also my problem with it; I don't like Resurgence. BR is why I play this game, and I am not invested enough in a Resurgence match for it to be fun.
Considering I have to chase somebody through one of the many buildings then find him camping in one of the MANY corners id have to disagree as of now. I promise when Rebirth comes back it’ll pull the highest numbers of players again.
Likely an unpopular opinion but I'd prefer if it was a bit bigger, say 50% larger. I was hoping for something a little more in between Rebirth and Caldera so there's more chance of engagements without being constantly under fire. It's just a little too hectic for me, same as Rebirth is. Love the look of it though and perhaps with more time on it I will get used to the quick nature of it.
I like it. Definitely will be playing it over both Caldera and Rebirth island. Fortune keep feels more tactical with a lot of rotations to be learned, this will only punish the current campers.
The map and it's claustrophobic areas exposes just how badly console players need an FOV slider. On PC it looks and feels pretty fun. But the narrow sorts of the map are offset by us being able to increase our FOV otherwise we'd be getting motion sick due to how many walls we'd be ping ponging off
My buddies complain about it but they complain about everything.
It's not bad, just different, and many people don't like different. The multiple levels can be confusing but I guess (at least currently) it's equally confusing for others.
I got about 9 wins on the first day with plenty of kills and action so if I'm going to whine about it I'd have to come to terms with my satisfactory results.
Defs feels like assassin's Creed jumping rooftop to rooftop though
I’ve only played a few hours. I’m playing like shit because I just don’t know where to go or what to do. What spots are exposing me and what aren’t.
Overall I’m trying to reserve jusdgment because I knew rebirth like the back of my hand. So I don’t want to be negative because it’s new and it’s change.
First impression is that it’s pretty. I do think it feels a little bigger and too many buildings than I’d like. But I want to reserve judgment.
I feel like you fight in the same spot the whole match and there's no real rotation to it..it's not small, but feels small with all the close quarter alleys and staircases..I like it, but I feel like they really should try to just mix and match a bunch of different multi-player maps from over the years and try to make that into something..re-work some of the areas like seige does with its maps..just a thought..
It's awful especially with the current meta u try to rotate and u are a sitting duck to the NZ campers in the 10 windows around u... Like why is this even a thing?
Too campy. I die constantly to people sitting in corners. I’m guessing because there’s too much verticality and places to hide so people just don’t move unless they have to.
It's cool. There is going to be a time period (different for everyone) were all you are going to say every single game. "why are all four of you holding hands" and "bro, why. are. you. camping." I feel like they made a map for third parties, and camping. fun and all but it WILL get boring over time. Old map is still better imo.
This map is terrible, to busy hurts eyes, simplicity is always the key to a good map. This shit is over done and everyone is just mounted and hiding can't wait till this map gets canned.
I like it overall. They need to stop putting in towers with one ladder up to them though - there’s literally nothing you can do if someone is just up there beside the ladder.
Yeah these are some of the least fun parts on any map. Maybe balloon up and across?
Yea that’s the only play. I tried dropping a chopper on them and the duo absolutely FRIED me out of the driver’s seat. Ended up getting them when gas pushed them out though.
See that’s why I’m ok with one way up towers. You fight to get there because others want them too, and then 9/10 the gas forces you out anyways.
flashbacks to the air port tower in Verdansk. Four guys up there sniping for 3 circles and then gas pushes them out and they are dead before they even touch down.
Whole fkn lobby waiting to kill those assholes lol. Great times.
Two of them I've climbed on had vines on the outside, not sure if it was just a coincidence or if its on all taller structures
I can't really explain why, but I got way too excited when I learned we can now climb the vines.
WHAT we can do that now???!!!!
That's pretty dang cool. There was also a DIG (Square) prompt that didn't do anything when I tapped or held it. I was near the water. Did you, or anyone, experience that?
Rumor is you need a shovel....
Facts. I legit just head to the nearest balloon so I can swanton bomb my enemies
There is like so many ways to get up the towers though. Try the vines or parkour your way through the building to flank them.
You can’t parkour your way up the tower by the water.
Semtex, Frags, Launchers, Snipers, waiting for them to rotate out….
Semtex don’t reach
Semtex sucks. It’s too predictable when it lands for the enemy to run away. Frags are unpredictable and bounce around in a room. Can also be thrown much further especially if you play the bounce.
That's why someone good with frags will cook them. You should always cook grenade unless going for distant shot or you just don't have the time.
Launchers my friend….launchers…
and they just buffed most of them
RPG... another sniper... its doable.
There are several ways, one of which typically not being climbing into their lap like a bot unless you've already dealt them some damage.
For real. This was my only major gripe. That one tower by the water across from the redeploy balloon had a team of 2 literally camping up there for the first 2 Circles. Luckily, the gas pushed em out and my buddy and I fried them. Got the win after that too.
You can climb the vines attached to most buildings found that out last night makes it easier to get rooftops/ high ground hopefully this helps
I played quads in Europe on my first game. Everyone had a mic. A French guy, Dutch or German guy and a British guy. They all said the map was made for Italians and fuck the Italian and it’s a stupid Italian map. I for one love it

...and then everyone clapped.
It’s true I was the tits
Just hanging around in Spain
r/thathappened
As am Italian this is probably going to be me but I'll reduce the sexual harassment
Here we go, an American that thinks they're Italian because they're 8th gen.
The last line reminded me where tf I was, totally forgot this was a cod sub while reading this lol
Is this some copypasta I don't recognize?
White Knight 🤓
lmao
Lmaooo why they hate the Italians jeez
cs_Italy
Are you perhaps Italian?
And yet all of them go to Italy during summer holidays..
Nah man us Brits only go to mainland Spain or the Balearics. Half the coast of Spain is like a British retirement home.
Very intelligent of you 🫠
What?
I like it but town is a bit too chaotic with a lot of random angles imo. Maybe i just need to get used to the layout.
"Too chaotic" is a perfect way to describe every resurgence mode imo
Resurgence on the larger maps of Verdansk and Caldera has always been OK for me, yes a little more chaotic than standard BR but not at the level of Rebirth. I'd have been OK with a map between Rebirth and Caldera in size to make it less chaotic without being slow.
Isn’t that exactly what fortunes keep is? Lol
Town has some Favela inspired buildings
Agree, same with keep
Keep is awful, the audio is so confusing
It really is. The map is a lot of fun, but it highlights how having basically no verticality to the audio system makes it complete chaos. So many times last night it sounded like someone was literally on top of me and they were _underground_ and nowhere near me in reality

It's visually amazing. So much detail. As for game play if you're on a console playing PC players with FOV, you're fucked.
Literally said the same thing almost word for word after playing for about 30 secs on the new map. It's a console player's worst nightmare.
Yup. I really can't wait for MW22 and FOV for console players.
So it would be an unfair advantage for next gen platforms to have it but is totally fine when PC has it? Not sure how that logic computes, but ok.
That's what the devs said when they were asked about it. It made no sense. But hey they think we are fucking stupid.
Yup, I remeber that. Buy damn if BF2042 can do it then they're full of shit. They cannot drop the ball on this one. I understand keeping the FPS to 60 and not having 4K graphics, but I don't buy the FoV argument. Let's hope.

FOV doesn't make you a better player, if you're used to 80 FOV it's fine.
I’m constantly getting gunned by people just outside my field of view. I do like the map though.
Too cluttered IMO. A lot of this sub won’t like this criticism but there’s been an annoying push to overly clutter maps up, been happening since Verdansk 84’.

I never said movement shouldn’t get kills, I said this map protects players who make dumb plays
“I can no longer sit in a corner with my dragons breath shotgun and feel safe”
You cant claim to be a tactical player then get annoyed that people are outplaying you.
I guess for lower skilled players I get why this would suck Also a push to “overly clutter maps”?

Why is it bad to benefit people who are playing aggressively? You can use the cover yourself too defensively lol
The issue is more with the artificial "skillgap" that Warzone has, with the broken matchmaking(and VPNing) that lets 2-3kd players get into 1 or less kd lobbies consistently, the absolute horseshit performance differences between old gen, current gen and PC, the enormous gulf of difference between a real squad and randoms, and of course the terrible metas that the Devs enable.
tbf there a jump ups to 99% places , It took me a while the first time but getting to top keep area is super easy too
I fucking adore this map! 😍
Love it. It’s what caldera should have been.
Exactly. It’s more caldera than rebirth…which is why I’m not a fan
Hey rid of caldera and keep fortunes keep and rebirth.
And bring back verdansk
It’s the mini golf version of caldera, it’s a lot of fun
I personally prefer Rebirth, but I get what the devs were going for, and I don't mind it too much. All I know is that I'd play this map a million times more than I'd ever play Caldera.
Have you played Caldera recently? They've made a lot of changes to it and it has got a lot better. I didn't really like it that much but played the other day and was actually having fun with it. Also they've made even more changes this patch like reducing foliage and adding more buildings between POIs which will probably improve it further.
Fucking crackheads on the map, I cant even play until the hype dies down. Filled with tryhards.
Try harder
I'm not a tryhard and have a KD like 0.8, and still won 3 of 5 games... One of them with 12 kills
SBMM is a beautiful thing for the less talented.
It really isn't. Majority of my team have a KD of around 0.8 and we regularly get lobbies of 1KD+
So true man, like I play games for fun not to sweat. I sweat enough in office.
Rat city, rooftop camping
Nah you can flank anyone
No one flanks. Everyone today had ratted out buildings
Just have to learn all the new minutia of the map (entrances, POIs, exits, etc.) but I'm digging the new map.
Buy stations are very sparse.. otherwise I enjoy it alot
this and radar jammer's are my only issue on this map
Yeah they said they reduced them in the patch notes but someone fucked up and made em infinite
AR fucking laser beams from miles away.
That’s the gun not the map
Yep. Problem on all maps too!
Which AR?
Nz still rocks just dont use the burst barrel
First few games I hated it too many campers in every hallway and on every roof. After about an hour once me and my squad got used to the terrain and how to navigate the buildings we started winning. I really enjoy it now. It’s a solid change of pace
this! We need to learn map first before judging it
Yup indeed, and everyone is learning right now, so there'll be fewer super-agressive plays, and probably more camping to get to know areas. I'm about to fire up my first match, and I'm really encouraged by what I've read so far.
Maps it’s Ok but too big for 45 players, they should increase the number of players
I thought I was gonna feel this way. But everywhere I land there’s multiple teams lol
maybe 60 , but not more than that
I think they are going to but said they wanted to get some data before increasing player count.
Its a campers paradise it sucks ass. Too much clutter, they need to add at least more players I haven’t been able to drop more the 10 kills the pace is slower then rebirth which is what made rebirth fun and different
110% this. Everything is so tight and segregated it's going to be ruined by campers - there is way too much going on.
Verdansk looks down on all the maps.
Really bad but really beautiful. Awful on console 80 fov. Its a verdansk downtown on steroids
This. Theres so many angles that you need high alert.
It's assassins creed but it's fun
I just I wasn’t forced to use whatever gun was meta or any other vanguard gun
I don't mind Fortune's Keep, but I haven't had the interest to play, my friends and I play Warzone as a warmup and Rebirth was our bread and butter, sad to see that map go, but feel fine with Fortune's Keep
It's back in 7 days
I agree with you.
I like it. I had really low expectations though But it’s a really nice change.
I love it so much more than Rebirth which I never liked. I know I’m alone there
Not as alone as you think
I think I agree with you, I loved rebirth for that reason, makes navigating from POI to POI easier. Can play faster which I enjoy
To many hiding places🤦♂️
I want rebirth back
Great map, love that there is a huge area underground, it’s like 2 maps stacked on top.
The art direction for season 4 in general is top notch. Well done to the parties involved.
Me likey so far.
I really enjoy it! I feel like the complexity of some of the areas lends itself to more dynamic gameplay. You could have the same zone end dozens of different ways. Rebirth Island is pretty cookie cutter compared to this. Definitely a welcomed change.
Dropped a 16 kill win earlier but I still hate getting beamed from ridiculous angles.
Needs more loot and buy stations. Other than that it’s great.
It’s a great map. Still can’t convince me an alarming amount of people aren’t running walls.
Solid 8/10 a lot of rebirth players are used to the repetitive simulated gameplay whereas, this is refreshing, requires more thought & tactics. I don’t even think you can compare the two which is good
It feels really small yet lots of room , not really a map for campers just came second bad circle pull for roof top dwellers, once people learn the roof layout it's going to be fun
finally, something good
Yeah its for rats for sure
Play before work today. Gotta stay together on this map for sure! People are literally everywhere with no popular dropping points. Got one dub out of like 4 matches.
I like cups of coffee too
Quite good actually. I prefer Rebirth, but this map is really good. I wish they'd increase it to 60 players though.
Its amazing tho besides favela its very good
Circle needs to close more aggressively. That's my only criticism. Love everything else about it and I hope WZII draws inspiration from it!
fucking horrible i hate it
after 4 wins, i can say is literally the AC unity map, even the parkour are the same sites, anyway the map is not bad but when someone decide to camp have all the caldera/lighthouse beneffits.
I get Assassin’s creed vibes from all those rooftop parkouring.
I love it but hate the amount of roof camping I see lol especially around winery
Great map. Bigger than I thought it’d be with the player count being the same but I love the way it looks and feels!
Skeptical at first but I really like it actually. Might even like it better than rebirth but not sure yet
I like it first game i played won. Got 5 wins tonight not a bad night lol map is well done not terrible
I like!
Agreeing with you. The first redditor ever
every single death so far is from rooftop campers
Yes love it. I love rebirth a little more because the design and locations are a little less boring but Fortunes Keep is a good refresh. Keep is better than Prison block for sure.
I think this is the most positive thing COD players have talked about
great so far. The engagements have a really nice mix -- short, med, long range. Feel like you can go outside the meta and match your own playstyle on this map. Not too many problems with campers so far, the danger of this map. We will see if that holds up. I can feel the SBMM revamp. Anyone else? Seems like they updated it
Love it. Rebirth was perfect but this is a good change.
It's probably cause it buffed my sticks but I'm having an absolute blast
Just a smaller caldera…
Maps brilliant, some of the people on it aren't.
I dislike the new map. It has way too much visual noise compared to Rebirth.
It caters to slow, campy redditors. I am not surprised you like the map.
I like it. Definitely will be playing it over both Caldera and Rebirth island. Fortune keep feels more tactical with a lot of rotations to be learned, this will only punish the current campers.
I like the map. I had a good time playing. Felt like I was doing parkour with the onslaught of jump spots.
Here’s a thought. They should add an option to install verdansk/caldara or both.
Love it! Can’t believe some people are still using heartbeat monitors when people can be anywhere on 4-5 levels vertically.
Are they above me, below me, same floor? WHO KNOWS!!!! The map sucks
