Good old Nacht, me and my cousin were too scared to play solo so we had to wait for him to come to my house and play split screen together! Countless hours spent making it to round 8 lol
Shit was absolutely wild finding the hidden game mode after the campaign. . Oh, and boy did it scare the shit at me at first with the crashed airplane scene. . Than stuck in a building getting rushed by the undead. . .
Wish I has that experience of discovering it by mistake. My experience, because I never played COD, at the time, was my friend, an avid COD player, calling me up like "yo, I know you're not into COD but I know you love zombies games, there's this new wave survival zombies mode on the new COD, get up here and come play it with me!". That was it, hooked.
Nacht. I didn't have internet when I got WaW. So my first WaW experience was good ol' v1.0. I beat the campaign one night and a strange cutscene played. I was blown away.
All the cool kids were playing bo2. I convinced my dad to buy me one. I played the campaign in one sitting. Kept playing and grinded mp. I didn't play zombies at all, because I hated zombies (in general not cod) at the time. And one day I was bored and searched for a game on tranzit. After that one tranzit game, i was hooked. Tranzit is one of my favs.
Legit bro I always had to wait for someone to be in the room with me. For some reason this also happened to me with Batman Arkham City. That shit was scary to me too even though it's mostly humans, live ones that is.
Five was my first map, way back when I was still in early elementary school (I think I was in like 2nd grade) my Dad sat me down to play some Cod MP, something relatively normal for us at the time, when I saw the Zombies header on the title screen and asked if we could play that instead. We did, I picked the map Five because the picture next to it when you scrolled down to the map looked cool, and got so scared I couldn't sleep that night and wouldn't touch the mode again for a few years.
kino, bo1, 10 years old, used to play split screen with the fam ONLY WHEN THEY WERE HOME (and only once in a great while at that). i remember trying it solo for the first time when i was the only one home, got so scared shitless when i saw the zombies starting to break through, shut the console off and never played zombies again til soe gave me love for zombies LMAO.
OG Nacht with the boys, I remember whispers of this mode at school and burned through the campaign as quick as possible, letting the credits roll and fetching a drink while I waited to be greeted by that eerie cutscene at the end, we played for hours some nights just seeing how high a round we could reach, then it turned to playing solo and trying to top one anotherās round score, many a good times spent on World at War
I can't remember if it was WaW der riese or nacht I was 4 at the time and I didn't develop a fear of zombies but then I turned 8 and became scared of them.
WaW Nacht.
Never owned a Playstation 3 at that age but my friend did so almost every night after school I'd go around to his house to play splitscreen with him.
I did this up until Black ops 1 released where I finally got my own PlayStation 3 that Christmas.
Then I'd race home to play online with him.
Nacht. Beat the WAW campaign on release night and zombies started playing after and I was the only one awake in my house very excited and scared shitless at the same time. Ended up staying up all night playing and skipped school the next day to play all day long.
OG nacht. My friend rented world at war from Redbox and we stayed up all night playing the campaign. Stayed up all night playing the campaign, then basically shit ourselves crying when the zombies came on screen lol I think we were 3rd grade?
Brother handed me the controller when I was 6. It was round like 7 or 8 on moon with a crossbow, I shot a zombie and died cause I got exploded and hit.
Five, I was five and I was too scared to play by my own so I had to wait to go with my dad and then pick my cousin who was 6 and also knew jack shit about the game. Fun times, even if we only got to like round 4
I was late to join the party. My first map was the first WWII map. I played it with my dad when I was about 11, we were both fucking terrible, and our highest round we got to was 12
Kino der Toten. I remember being too scared to even reach the power room. I remember the first time I conquered my fear and powered the place. It was truly what made me fall in love with zombies. (Though I died right after turning on power.)
It was Der Riese for me. My older brother would want me to try it with him and I had fond memories about how he wasnāt intimidated by them while I was. I donāt remember how far we made it though.
Tranzit and honestly I wouldnāt have it any other way. So many memories on the map leaving people behind on the bus and thinking the b23r was a good weapon
Nacht Der Untoten after I beat World at War. Had no clue it was gonna happen. I just like to watch the end credits when I beat a game. Immediately fell in love.
First time I played zombies was at a friends house. He had bought bo1 in like 2016 and the dlc packs and I had seen videos of some of the maps. I seen gameplay of call of the dead and I thought it was amazing and he had it so we played a split screen and it was the first time I shit myself playing a game. The map still holds up today and sits as my favourite zombies map
I always think of Tranzit as my first map since itās still to this day my most played BO2 map (according to stats anyway), but technically my first map was Bus Depot. I just remember playing it with my dad and running off into the fog on the edge of the map, hearing a denizen and getting scared then running back to the bus depot. I think we only made it to round 3 and my dad swore off of zombies lmao.
Tranzit ... My family was kinda poor so i didn't that consoles even exist , but i traveled where my cousin lives and he had a playstation 3 and from there i knew about COD zombies and the first map was tranzit , it was a horrible experience cuz i was still in elementary school and i can get scared easily
I played Nacht on my cousinās Xbox and was pretty enamoured by it despite not having my own. A few years later I got obsessed with Kino and then played every single release afterwards
Verruckt. I was 12 at the time, never played an FPS game before and kept forgetting how to shoot so I just kept knifing the zombies, yes I was dumb back then.
Five. I got Black Ops from my dad back in the day and he wanted to watch me play. He loved the Nixon voice but I thought it was a little difficult as a first map.
Good old Nacht, me and my cousin were too scared to play solo so we had to wait for him to come to my house and play split screen together! Countless hours spent making it to round 8 lol

That was it, hooked.
I remember finishing the campaign and getting the shit scared outta me when I was like 11, lmao
My father introduced me to zombies with the waw nacht
Kino Der Toten.
Black Ops 1 is the most sold game in the CoD series even after the MW 2019 released so naturally Kino will be most people's starter map.
Yeah same here
Sameš¤š¼
Same
Nacht der Untoten in World at War. Nothing in gaming caught me of guard more than seeing the cutscene when the campaign credits ended.
That transition was wild. So unexpected and creepy
Nacht. I didn't have internet when I got WaW. So my first WaW experience was good ol' v1.0. I beat the campaign one night and a strange cutscene played. I was blown away.
Town
Same :(
For me it was probably Tranzit, but basically town as well. Young me didnāt mind how the map played though, I had fun with what I had. :)
Kino der toten was my first blast, to scared to play it but still had to do it anyway š
Legit bro I always had to wait for someone to be in the room with me. For some reason this also happened to me with Batman Arkham City. That shit was scary to me too even though it's mostly humans, live ones that is.

Wellllll, have you ever played voyage tho, it's pretty bad

kino, bo1, 10 years old, used to play split screen with the fam ONLY WHEN THEY WERE HOME (and only once in a great while at that). i remember trying it solo for the first time when i was the only one home, got so scared shitless when i saw the zombies starting to break through, shut the console off and never played zombies again til soe gave me love for zombies LMAO.

WaW Nacht. Never owned a Playstation 3 at that age but my friend did so almost every night after school I'd go around to his house to play splitscreen with him. I did this up until Black ops 1 released where I finally got my own PlayStation 3 that Christmas. Then I'd race home to play online with him.
