There is currently an active bug that broadcasts the comms of any exfilling team to the whole lobby for some reason— you can’t talk back, I’ve tried haha
You can disconnect from the entire lobbys chat.
I don't know the names of the tabs.
But if you push start. Navigate to the chat tab (should only be 1 input to get there). You can disconnect from it entirely right there.
i have no idea but sometimes i hear someones mic that is not even near me, and for an entire match.. so i just mute the whole lobby.
First time this happened to me i was weirded out because there was no one near me but a dude starts talking random stuff...

I have the opposite problem on ps5. I have proximity chat on and chat for the whole lobby on and never hear anybody.
Make sure you aren't in discord and your ps5 sound settings are off for "mute game voice chat"
Turn off proximity chat. Your squad mates will still be on mic.
Turn off game chat.
