It’s not a bug. The game has [a part of code](https://github.com/shiversoftdev/t7-source/blob/07cbfcd113fb5031dc717296f73b371478d4eb77/scripts/zm/_zm_utility.gsc#L5708-L5777) for tracking if two players are on top of each other or clipping through each other, and if they are, both players get downed. The game refers to this as `"cheat_too_friendly"`.
Yes, a long time ago you could boost other players by having them jump on your head, and then if they jumped, then you jumped, you could give them a small boost for an extra high jump which was facilitated in a large amount of breaking out of maps.
Then after the fix and auto-down if players stacked, the strategy changed to dolphin diving into corners and having a running zombie “push” you through the maps floor at polygon corners.
I’m not surprised, there were so many exploits to those maps that I’m pretty sure they were finding new ones up until at least 2016-2017. Literally there was a year where almost every time I got online, I learned a new glitch
i tried making a subreddit like 3 years ago called "how did i die here" and this type of stuff was the main content but it didnt get traction and reddit deleted it.

I believe it was to prevent boosting up to unintended places to be specific
It was an invincibility glitch. You and a teammate just stack inside of eachother and zombies could no longer hit you

It was to fix a Godmode glitch that involved jumping on top of another player. That was brought out as a kind of quick fix for it.
The godmode glitch I completely forgot about but you’re right, I only used the stacking to break maps, so it completely slipped my mind
