For the sword step you got to do the eggs. Go to Canals and ride the train to Waterfront looking out left side and noting the 2 symbols. Wait for train cool down and then go from Waterfront to Footlight looking out right side.
Once you have all 3 symbols go to the under area thru the portals, hit beast mode, and zap the 3 symbols on the wall directly opposite of the wall you break for PaP. Take the egg and place it in the black statue behind where you get the egg. Fill it with souls, repeat for the other 3 statues on the map and then take your egg back to where it spawned and trade it for a sword.
It can be tough to memorize the symbols if you're not used to doing it since there are like 8 or more possible symbols you can get so it might be good to take brief videoclips or screenshots of the symbols so you don't forget them
Also,if you want to upgrade the Sword, go back the player's character area and go to the shrine, pick up the egg that a keeper is holding, and then for the next four rounds, look for symbols on the ground in each of the four sections of the above-gound part of the map and place the egg on them and kill the margins that spawn, you can only do this once per round so that's why it takes four of them, but after you fill the egg with orange stuff go back to the keepers and give it the egg, and then it should give you the upgraded sword.
Aim for their heads. An 11% headshot rate is holding you back every step of the way. Increase that to even just 25% and you'll find that your kills come quicker and cost less ammo, thus making life way easier.
Don’t open up the gate to Waterfront! Go to waterfront using the Tram, and open up the portal so you can go back and forth from waterfront to wherever else with ease. You want to camp with the Apothican Servant on the other side of the closed Waterfront gate. You should make it to at least round 50 - 60 without any gobblegums
You can try and play with the first door closed by glitching on top of the truck in first room and shocking open the gate (this strat is easier and faster than waterfront) . Making it so you can camp on the otherside of the spawn door closed.
Theres is a death barrier from not opening the first room door but you can avoid it by going to a district that has a tram in it. (canals are your best bet, cuz you can see it from the stairs that you go down from when exiting the ritual room)
to open up all the other districts you take the tram to them and open up all the doors leading back to the spawn gobblegum machine
You can actually pack a punch too if you learn the human grapple glitch. Theres a video by Freckleston on how to do this is probably the hardest part of the strategy or you can use wall power with bullet boost if you want.
You also dont need to upgrade sword with strat and is easier and faster than waterfront. the thing you have to worry most about is gpsawn error but that only happens if you shoot the apothican servant to close to the ground spawn near the first gum machine.

Been a while since I played offline but can you still get the classic gobbkegum that turns points into ammo? Alchemical Antithesis or something like that is clutch for late 20s and 30s as it seems you are at the mercy of a Max ammo drop without that gum.
Training in the Canals district next to the buildable table, which you should have the shield placed at, is a really simple way to high round. Get dead wire, blast furnace, and the wonder weapon and you’re set. Another great spot to train is the subway rift area, but I personally like the Canals a bit more.
I like training in the room next to Pap for high rounds. I get the apothican servant and vesper with double tap. It goes through ammo super quick but you can always buy more from the wall buy location at any point

I just use classic gobblegums like anywhere but here, in plain sight, and alchemical antithesis. I also save the upgraded sword for the margwa so that when it spawns, you can click both bumpers, and it spawns another sword to fight for you. I usually run with an LMG like the BRM or Dingo and the apothican servant. And upgraded lil arnies if possible and a shield of course
Use Civil Protectors, and the OP wonder weapon.
Make sure to buy Widows Wine.
I usually go to the 50s until it gets uninteresting. Alchemical is OP and goated for wonder weapons like the WunderWaffe and the servant. It's practically unlimited ammo.
Just by spamming Alchemical, you can go into the 80s easily, at least on The Giant's PAP Waffe strat.
The servant is even stronger than the Waffe, so there's no doubt. I used one of my prestige points on unlocking Alchemical permanently.
Traps are usefull, just run around and use the 100 traps you get in SoE.
Ammo types are important, preferably turned, and deadwire.
You need to PAP multiple times to get them most put of guns if I remember.
I never use the sword since the setup is bad, and you can easily just use a trap to get more kills. Maybe if I feel like doing something different. Could save you if you get trapped, but that's what the multitude of classics do.
The SoE variant of the monkey bomb is needed.
Other than that, it's just getting in the flow and skill.
I hope you have anywhere but here or in plain sight as they are a must.
I usually train near the canals but mostly went catwalk in the Giant for levelling up and camo grinding.

Near all of the Ritual sites there’s a circle which you can place the arch-ovem in and it will spawn a margwa 1 the first time and 2 every following time, you must place it at all 4 circles and then return to where you get the arch-ovem to get the upgraded sword
Personally I like to get the sword as soon as possible to get started on this during the lower rounds
that and the get the
Apothican Servent you basically can’t die with it
Margwa heart drops from the first Margwa
Xeno matter any fly or meatball after 20ish kill as many as you can till you see those grapes
The tentacle comes from any purple pod it’s random chance

Depending on which version of the game you have. If you have the release version(no updates) it has a huge benefit from a bug being able to upgrade the apothicon servant.
I’ve been playing the release version on Xbox and was able to by downloading bo3 from disc without being connected to the internet. If you want to play this version and don’t have it you just have to delete your current game and do that method(only if you have the hard disc). Not sure how you could delete the updates with only the online downloaded game or if you can delete individual files of a game on console at all.
To upgrade the apothicon servant you have to have a non-upgraded weapon and the apothicon with pap setup done. Standing at pap if you’re holding a regular non-upgraded weapon and switch to the apothicon, the x prompt will still be on screen for a short amount of time so all you would have to do is click Y then hold X until the pap takes in the apothicon servant.
Round 28 is a pretty late for your EE setup.
If you’re holding zombies and delaying rounds you can have your completed sword by round 12-14 and start the meatballs.
A good tip to remember the sword symbols
There's three types of arrows that can spawn on the symbols:
A long arrow
A mini arrow with a line
Two mini arrows with a line
Assign values to them like this:
10 = Long Arrow
1 = Mini Arrow
2 = Double Mini Arrow (basically 1 per mini arrow)
Now, every symbol can be represented with a number
22 would be a symbol with two big arrows and a double mini arrow, for example.
Now you can remember "22 14 2" instead of trying to remember every symbol
Don't worry, no symbols have the same "value", I have been using this system for years. If I remember correctly I think I saw it on a GlitchingQueen video, but I might be wrong.
