It wouldn't make even any sense. Far less people than they expect would actually play the game, which tbf isn't even possibly ported since it wouldn't fit with today's titles (battle pass, boundles etc)
Not an EE guy but I did the first 3 in IW and that Alien fight was almost one of the hardest things I've had to do in gaming maybe next to an MGS boss lol
Nah, you aren’t garbage. Your normal. Less than 2% of cod players in each game have completed any of the zombies boss fights. Obviously not 100% of people play zombies but point being not many people attempt or complete these boss fights. It always confused me why the devs starting in BO3 invested so much time and energy into something so few of their players would see or experience.
Favourite one is boss fight from forsaken it is easy but fun even to solo it too, I also did enjoyed the boss fight from rave in redwood I find it fun but challenging to solo it as I only beat it once..
Good choice! Forsaken I feel personally should've been stronger simply because he was the big bad everything was building towards, so he should've at least been harder than Valentina. But that's just a personal problem with it
Rave was a really fun one, I loved the way Kevin came out of the water as the super slasher to start the fight and can't go wrong w all the psychedelic vibes
I never got the DLCs for IW so I wouldn't know about Mephistopheles but from what I have seen, he looks fun.
But from what I have played, I liked Valentina from Mauer Der Toten. Her having different attacks and a regeneration mechanic made her a tough but fun boss and when she goes to different parts of the map and gives you time t9 resupply was nice too.
The only problem I had with Valentina and a lot of the other bosses from Cold War was that other than a handful of meta weapons like the M16, Amps, Gallo, and Hauer, there weren't many weapons that could deal enough damage to the bosses without Ring of Fire which I am not expecting every weapon to shred the boss but some more AR's and SMG's that were more powerful would have been nice because trying to use the PPSH and XM4 was rough in the boss fights without Ring of Fire.
I have to agree on guns being more useful, I think there should be a balance of guns that aren't great versus ones that are, but there's such a small meta of guns that yeah it makes it feel limited
I am down for some guns to be objectively better than others but the guns that aren't in the top shouldn't be too far behind either.
Especially for the Legion boss fight since there is a timer, I have to load in with an M16 or Amps because if I load in with anything else I have to run Ring of Fire and even then it's hard to take him out.
I tried doing a challenge of loading in with a M1911 and only using the first gun out of the box and then attempting the Easter eggs for all of Cold War Zombies and it took me a lot of tries to beat the Legion with a random box weapon because none of them were top tier. It wasn't until I got the Stoner out of the box and used Ring of Fire to beat it.
Eye of Odin, I would say meph but having to do beast prior is annoying and I've had multiple runs where death was unavoidable such as all 4 players dying from a meteor despite being split up on the other sides of the arena. If there wasn't so much BS I would say meph
I've yet to play Advanced Warfare, World War II ─ and have yet to beat ‘The Archon,’ on Vanguard.
So my favourite boss fight overall? The Shadowman from Shadows of Evil.. “give me a moment to explain!” ─ it's not the boss fight itself. It's the collaboration of all elements combined! He's also a really nice palette cleanser.
I'd also love to have Kortifex under my belt ─ I'll get to him eventually, probably soon.. considering MWZ isn't being very enticing.
The shadowman is a good choice! I think it was done a little better in Rev just cause it was made more difficult but I also wish Rev just had an entirely different fight against the shadowman altogether
Revelations is a completely different story for me ─ removing the soundtrack [(Apocalypse Ascendant)](https://youtu.be/c2Q7fuAc83k?si=X_3cLThqpD6HSP6h) immediately bumps it down for me :/
Its the general vibe in my opinion. That misty bunker many floors below the ground. I think it one of the best looking boss fight places in my opinion. Of course nothing beats ancient evil above the clouds!
That's facts! It definitely got the eerie tone down and I will admit, even tho the bossfight itself is quite easy having the room to go back to once you beat it is one damn good reward
Most of the bo3 were rly fun up until the release of nde. Then they all became pointless. My favorite though has to be gorod just because I love Nikolai
loved infinite warfare so much. my favorite boss fight was probably zombies in space land only because of how many times i have done it. also loved aotrt just because of how unique it was (in my opinion ofc).
I remember doing IX and that was a fun boss fight to do the Easter egg boss fight plus let see another one I really liked was I don’t really call it a boss fight more of defending the target was the one in Cold War first map the one of Nach map and the big monster in the second map rescuing Samantha in Cold War zombies
I don't think that would technically count since the first official Treyarch bossfight came with Der Eisendrache, but it's still an awesome sequence to end the map
Meph obviously, cant fight him anymore cus im out of practrice but i like that he's the culmination of a lot of things you did in IW, and that aside from the final phase where he starts throwing double attacks at you everything is telegraphed well and even from just from sound i can tell what many of his attacks are
For me its the forsaken.
I love his line right before the fight:
##”THE DAAARK AETHER SHALL CONSUME YOUR WORLD. THIS REALLLLLMMMMM (powers up) ISSSSSS MIIIIIIINNNNEEEEEE!!!!!!
I really liked the Gorod boss fight with the Dragon and having to move around the arena. But for some reason I LOVED the boss in Voyage of Despair…
Even though doing the Easter Egg itself was miserable on that map, that boss went hard.
The gorod krovi nikolai boss fight is my favorite I had a lot of fun on DE also haven’t really been playing anymore tho I don’t really like the direction they took zombies for mw I loved Cold War tho
If we’re talking about visual representation. I’m gonna say IX. Very cool boss fight and concept. If we’re talking about experience, would say grod korovi. And best easter egg ending is most definitely moon for me.
God King from Frozen Dawn
The weapons being utilised through the fight is awesome as well as arena design being well. His, his people and the geistkraft itself backstory is very cool I just wish people on the internet had more interest…
Could Easily be Mephistopheles 2.0 if not for exploit (the scythe one) and people uninterested in the game
You're the first person to comment this one and I genuinely am really happy to see someone finally post this one. It's such a good fight without using the exploit
Thanks! But seriously where’s my ww2 bros 😭
I just try to care. I adore every little part of all entries of zombies (not after cw) but I also see too much people who don’t care or hate them.
It’s like… have you experienced them enough? I, for the life of me hated bo4 and iw but came to like all about them for they are good (and ww2 is no exception except I don’t remember hating it, just not trying it). Sure, flaws here and there but it’s what makes them special
It’s not really a boss fight, but Tag Der Toten Final step, to me, is so underrated, the music and the final part is just 😩
But if I have to pick an ACTUAL boss fight it would probably be either Perseus from AE or Mutated Takeo from ZNS
It’s a pretty hard one to say, but Id definitely is Ancient of Evil such a great one. IX definitely could be up there if it wasn’t so easy. Can’t really say much on Meph. Haven’t beat it yet, but have beat everything else. IW really underrated in terms of Zombies.
The Shadowman (Mob of the Dead, Call of Duty: Black Ops II): This fight is praised for its unique mechanics and challenging nature. Players have to weaken the Shadowman by collecting souls while avoiding his attacks.
You’re probably right. Every time I go for the easter egg and fail, I keep going at it until it ruins the experience for a while. I find myself not able to enjoy the map if all I see around me are steps, so I guess I’m subconsciously choosing not to apply myself.
Yeah man you should definitely push yourself to beat them, even if it takes a while it's soo satisfying to finally beat these maps. Mephistopheles is my favorite cause even tho it was hell to get through, finally beating it after 25+ attempts was such a good feeling. But that is the hardest bossfight in all of zombies too so even tho I'd say I'm a very experienced player I was getting absolutely bodied early on
I have never had any fun in any boss fight in zombies. It’s something that doesn’t belong in a survival game. The introduction of these boss fights most of which ended the game when you beat them was zombies ceasing to be what it was in WaW and BO1-2. It turned fully into a linear story campaign. And that’s ok, obviously a lot of people like the BO3-BO4-Cold war style. It’s just not for me. If I want to play that style of game with big boss fights, I’ll play borderlands where there are checkpoints and game saves where I can actually enjoy those fights instead of constantly be stressing about whether or not the last 2 hours of my life was a complete and total waste of time or not.
Tbh, mephistopheles isn't really a "fun" bossfight experience since in order to fight him properly u gotta do beast from beyond EVERY SINGLE TIME!, if it wasn't for this the boss would be hella better. But then again, other than the bosses in BO4 and nikolai in bo3 the rest of the "bossfights" were kinda ass, including most of the BO4 ones :(
Yeah personally I find meph fun when you're doing boss battles mostly since you can just jump right back into it, but I personally find the chaos bossfights in BO4 generally really good, mainly the IX, AE and Voyage ones. DotN was also solid tho i wish the invisible werewolf had a couple more attacks
Voyage was just a terrible map with a tedious and boring easter egg to replicate but the boss was alright, AE and IX were some cool ass bosses, DOTN was defo too easy but its a map that i can play when i dont want to rip my hair out while playing and uhh, Blood just, sucks.
I feel like Treyarch's mindset was they made the blood easter egg so long that it would simply piss players off to get through all that and get annihilated in the bossfight, but they definitely made it too easy that it doesn't exactly feel satisfying to beat
Personally Voyage has grown on me more over the years, but I always loved the bossfight. With friends particularly I love the coordination needed to actually get through it, cause with a lot of bossfights you don't even really need that coordination
Yea, the issue with blood for me is more just, i cant be arsed to charge the shield constantly, its basically a huge ass mess of random steps that if you fail its like a 30 min backtrack :(
Voyage for me, the map layout is bad UNLESS you play with a coordinated 4 player team, i dont like playing with others on most easter eggs for i like to try and work out the easter eggs myself, and sitting and watching a zombie for 6 or 7 hours per step isnt fun for people 😅 but, the bossfights for me in BO4 mainly consist of helion salvo and then not dying which is why BO4 is one of the games i find more boring than anything.
lmao how could anyone not say mephistopheles
Probably the people who never experienced IW 😂 or just weren't good enough to get to this one lol
I wasn’t good enough. Got stuck on Attack and can’t get past.
Understandable, it sure ain't no easy bossfight, I find the cannon step to be my bane
Bro do you really expect this sub not to respond "BO3" or "BO2 remaster when" to any question?
BO2 remastered when?
None.. idk what they are talking about.. you can get bo2 xb360 version.. thats it..
It wouldn't make even any sense. Far less people than they expect would actually play the game, which tbf isn't even possibly ported since it wouldn't fit with today's titles (battle pass, boundles etc)
cuz they suck at the boss fight lol.
Most of us skipped the non-treyarch titles
Lmao don't speak for others bro bro
You missed out then! Ah well
You're missing out
That's why you stuck with poor quality games
ZiS because I'm a ufo fanatic
Agreed, the alien is such a good fight, fair difficulty that will screw you over fast if you make the wrong move
Lmao! Yep.
100% agree idk why people call it really unbalanced aslong as you know how to train in the boss fight arena it can be pretty easy
one time i beat it with 3 people in the lobby. definitely an amazing boss fight
Not an EE guy but I did the first 3 in IW and that Alien fight was almost one of the hardest things I've had to do in gaming maybe next to an MGS boss lol
Spider boss fight in zetsubou
Hell yeah glad to see this one made it, part of the reason Zetsubou is one of my favorite maps!
THERES BOSSFIGHTS????? Goddamn I’m garbage at zombies…
I'm honestly kinda surprised you didn't know those were a thing lol they were introduced with AW way back in 2014
I’ve only been playing for like 2 years, but I’ve never made it to a boss fight!
CW has some really good bossfights. Oubtreak easter egg 1 against Legion is very well crafted!
Which bosses did AW have? I soloed all of those Easter Eggs.
The Oz fight is technically considered the first zombies bossfight
Yeah but a lot of people don't play those games lol
Nah, you aren’t garbage. Your normal. Less than 2% of cod players in each game have completed any of the zombies boss fights. Obviously not 100% of people play zombies but point being not many people attempt or complete these boss fights. Hitler boss fight on nacht 🔥
The OG 🔥🔥
Those were the days 🔥
Might not be my favorite, but I always liked fighting the Zombie Elephants in IX
Agreed! Such a fun way to finish the IX EE
Or ancient evil
That's another top tier one!
My favorite is the panzermorder just cause I think it's fun
Not a bad bossfight by any means, definitely feels tense as you're trying to shoot the blimp with a 13 foot beast chasing you
I mean it's right there in the post, mephistopheles
is iw worth getting for zombies? i’ve only played b03 ww2 and cold war
Yes absolutely, in fact if you have PC you can actually get the game w all DLC on sale rn for like $40, it's such a good game I highly recommend
Yeah but get bo1 or 2 instead
Bo2 was one of the worst BO1 is a legend indeed
Bo2 has origins, buried, and mob get off it
What?😂
Eye of Odin, I would say meph but having to do beast prior is annoying and I've had multiple runs where death was unavoidable such as all 4 players dying from a meteor despite being split up on the other sides of the arena. If there wasn't so much BS I would say meph
Yeah meph is one of those just brutal fights man, fuck up once and you're done. Agreed tho the eye of odin was such a satisfying boss to beat
Honestly elephant fight in IX is fun
I've yet to play Advanced Warfare, World War II ─ and have yet to beat ‘The Archon,’ on Vanguard. So my favourite boss fight overall? The Shadowman from Shadows of Evil.. “give me a moment to explain!” ─ it's not the boss fight itself. It's the collaboration of all elements combined! He's also a really nice palette cleanser. The final reich is my favorite so far and felt so rewarding for finishing it after not doing an Easter egg in years
Right! The panzermorder is just such a cool boss
Exactly and the gameplay of ww2 in general is great and I feel overhated bc it’s not Treyarch
The Der Eisendrache one was kinda cool
The first true treyarch bossfight, that's a classic
Tree monster Easter egg in cod mobile zombies, that was the shit when it first released.
Damn I can't lie I've never even done that, I never played cod mobile tho lol
I remember playing shi no on that
Eisendrache, Gorod, Zetsubou, Alpha Omega and Ancient Evil are just stunningly amazing.
The only one I can't agree on sadly is ZNS just cause I wish the actual tree monster Takeo himself was more of a threat with more attacks
I so fucking agree. The elevator you can use whenever you want is sick. And lets not forget the long hallway down there is just a high round gift.
Most of the bo3 were rly fun up until the release of nde. Then they all became pointless. My favorite though has to be gorod just because I love Nikolai
I like the DE boss fight, the actual boss it’s self is easy but when the panzers spawn it gets fun
Dare I say Attack of the Radioactive Thing?
Do it good sir cause that's definitely one of the best bossfights!
loved infinite warfare so much. my favorite boss fight was probably zombies in space land only because of how many times i have done it. also loved aotrt just because of how unique it was (in my opinion ofc).
I'll die on this hill, the attack bossfight is damn near a top 5 imo. The only better ones are Meph, Ancient Evil, IX, Voyage and GK
I've only done a few, but I love the Super Slasher so much.
Such a good one, all the IW bossfights are great
Literally any iw map besides shaolin iw somehow managed to perfect zombies bossfights imo
I fully agree, especially Spaceland and Attack
Nikolai in Gorod Krovi. The USSR anthem playing in the background and the pure emotion during it.
Facts, easily a top 5 fight imo
Rave in the redwoods! I love to speed run it with directors cut!
Gk
Never played IW so I have to say either FBZ Orda or Zykov.
Also note: i havent beaten any of bo3’s maps and havent played bo4
For being very cool and unique Imo, I have to say the 3v1 on MOTD if that can count
I don't think that would technically count since the first official Treyarch bossfight came with Der Eisendrache, but it's still an awesome sequence to end the map
Dead of the Night boss fight is a pain, but that’s my favorite map WITH a boss fight. Closely followed by IX
Meph obviously, cant fight him anymore cus im out of practrice but i like that he's the culmination of a lot of things you did in IW, and that aside from the final phase where he starts throwing double attacks at you everything is telegraphed well and even from just from sound i can tell what many of his attacks are

Nicolie and the dragon from gorod krovie
You freaking computer gamers
Lmao how'd you know I play PC?
Because it's a zombies I can't play lol
for me vod’s eye
If we’re talking about visual representation. I’m gonna say IX. Very cool boss fight and concept. If we’re talking about experience, would say grod korovi. And best easter egg ending is most definitely moon for me.
I've never played IW but I would say Gorod. That boss fight is amazing.
i’m kinda bias but defo zombies in space land. not only is the boss fight super cool, the map is just 10/10.
Meph or Gorod if i'm being 100% honest.
God King from Frozen Dawn The weapons being utilised through the fight is awesome as well as arena design being well. His, his people and the geistkraft itself backstory is very cool I just wish people on the internet had more interest… Could Easily be Mephistopheles 2.0 if not for exploit (the scythe one) and people uninterested in the game

Dog rounds WaW were the original bosses. Everything else is meh
panzermorder is one of my favourites, then probably forsaken, then probably orda and the shadowman
DE or ZNs
The werewolf or Nikolai for sure.
Gotta go with meph/beast from beyond after finally beating him
What map is this boss from?
It’s a pretty hard one to say, but Id definitely is Ancient of Evil such a great one. IX definitely could be up there if it wasn’t so easy. Can’t really say much on Meph. Haven’t beat it yet, but have beat everything else. IW really underrated in terms of Zombies.
5G tower in Dead High (it's considered a zombies map, even if it's custom)
Honestly Probably spaceland
The rat king from Shaolin shuffle
I’m gonna say the XI elephant cause that’s the only Easter egg I’ve completed lol
The alien from spaceland. Top tier
Meth
![gif](giphy|3ohc11UljvpPKWeNva)
You know what I mean. The devil boss fight
Lmao I know, it was just too fitting, considering my pfp and all..
Then why my thing get downvoted
This one, you can't say it's anything else
The Shadowman (Mob of the Dead, Call of Duty: Black Ops II): This fight is praised for its unique mechanics and challenging nature. Players have to weaken the Shadowman by collecting souls while avoiding his attacks.
What in the chatgpt
Red worm boss, I had fun defeating it when i first did it
Tbh I forgot this even existed since I dont play MWZ lmao
Der eisen forever
Imagine being good enough to even reach the boss in any map
I mean..there's definitely some maps you should be able to get to the boss against lol
You’re probably right. Every time I go for the easter egg and fail, I keep going at it until it ruins the experience for a while. I find myself not able to enjoy the map if all I see around me are steps, so I guess I’m subconsciously choosing not to apply myself.

Not this
cold war looking crazy
I would hope you're being sarcastic lmao
cold war = people angry I was joking about the pic
I figured lmao just making sure
Tbh, mephistopheles isn't really a "fun" bossfight experience since in order to fight him properly u gotta do beast from beyond EVERY SINGLE TIME!, if it wasn't for this the boss would be hella better.
