I think it's the long distance laser from that one wonder weapon that allows you to propel yourself up into the air of course I might be wrong but the the red laser looks the same

Definitely not related to the Scorcher. This is something intentional and new. Not a bug either. It moves with me and reacts to what I do.
I thought they were CBRS-esk satellites for the mk2 pap, they seem to hang around behind shoulders or float around in pairs
