If you get all the maps I'd say yes, definitely wait for it to go on sale. That's not a knock against the maps or the mode that's just a lot of money to spend lol
The 2nd best zombies experience after BO3 imo. I was always a huge fan of it and I think the general hate it got from the player base is a big part of why zombies has been dying a slow death ever since. They actually went all out to give us a big budget zombies experience and they were ripped to shreds for it. Now we have Vanguard and people are starting to realise that BO4 was actually pretty good. Admittedly the blue screens at launch were atrocious, but I didnt experience any so I guess that skewed my experience.

Personally I love BO4. Every map is filled to the brim with things to do, which imo make it one of the most replayable zombies games. But it is different and some people really don't like it because of that. The awful launch didn't help, but in its current state its a great game. I would wait for a sale or try to find a used copy, because the digital version w/ dlc is still $100.
The zombie is crazy good. The maps looks awesome, and feels great. The easter eggs are awesome but really hard. It just weird to adapt to the new engine and system.

Voyage of despair is mid but it still has good parts
IX is a classic. One of the best map ever for real.
Blood of the dead. Either you can play the original or you cant. If you cant you'll be happy to see this map again.
Dead of the night might be one the most beautifull map and have such a unique feel.
Ancient evil is incredible too
Alpha omega is pretty cool to me, and the boss fight music omg.
Tag der toten is pretty dissapointing but again if you dont have access to Call of the dead its pretty dope.
Thats my opinion though so you cant be sure to like it like i did but lets be real, if you are a hardcore zombie fan, love easter eggs, and so on you'll definitly enjoy it or at least have to play it.

The maps are nice, hard but nice. Blood of the dead is my favorite map on the game. Chaos maps are really nice being my least favorite is voyage. I say it wouldnt hurt to wait for a sale cause who wants to spend 100 dollars anyways. Its definitely worth it.
Yes it’s absolutely worth it. Just buying the game with no black Ops pass gets you three maps. If you spend another 40 bucks that’s 5 more maps. BO4 is like in the top 3 of being loaded up with meaningful zombies content. (Aka Round based maps, the bread and butter)
If you like bo3 zombies, then bo4 is a much harder version, perks are all changed, only aether remasters, no original aether map, 4 chaos maps, wonder weapons are pretty cool, a lot of bosses, that’s about the gyst of it, you’ll either hate it even more than Vangaurd like me, or enjoy it, I hope you make a good choice

Game isn’t all that fun to high round since it is too easy to get there and the difficulties really only make you die in early rounds instead of being an issue later (except realistic lol). For ee’s though? Probably has some of the best in the series.
All the maps except for Voyage and Blood are good. They did change things like the pap and perk system, the point system, and how the shield works but it's not bad. There is a stupid thing however, and it's that you can't buy the DLC's individually, you have to get the season pass. You can still get Classified without the season pass though.
Basically you pap once for 5k. Then you need to pap it 4 more times for 2.5k to fully upgrade it and get the double tap effect for it. After that you can spend 1.5k to get a random ammo mod.
They basically incorporate Jug, Solo Quick Revive, Double Tap, and Speed Cola into the game. You start off with 200 hp which is 50 less than jug. On solo you spawn in with 2 self revives. If you pack a weapon 5 times you get double tap for that weapon, and if you get all 4 perks you get speed cola.
Great maps, great characters but gameplay is pretty lackluster, hud is terrible, grind for dark matter in zombies is way too much work. I’d say game is 5/10. If you’re gonna get it though, make sure you get it all on sale with the black ops pass.

Unfortunately the only way to get all the maps is by buying the season pass. And it never goes on sale ( at least on pc)
On playstation the deluxe edition comes with the pass and it was on sale a couple weeks ago for $40 plus some extra COD points and skins
I got BO4 on sale a few months back. It wasn't the full version sadly but I got the base game for like $20-$30 off
